Pleasant Surroundings.....Good Service
Had a light dinner for my wife and myself that included Bademjan Entree (eggplant in a tomato sauce). Thought the eggplant was bit on the mushy side, but the sauce was decent. You can order a lamb shank with the eggplant for $2.00 (real bargain and good). Also Rice Baghali that was good. All in all, wasn't overly impressed, but the price was reasonable (just $30) for the two of us. However most couples wouldn't eat as little as we did. The flat bread was good, as was the service and atmosphere.

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful meal here. There weren't too many people in the restaurant and the host suggested we sit away from a family that had a crying child. The food was tasty and the service was prompt.

Not sure how you rate a restaurant when it’s the first time experiencing a given cuisine. So, in this area of LA, there are many Persian restaurants from which to choose. I didn’t do any homework, just walked in cold to the first lunch special billboard that had a decent sized number of guests, and I went in. I explained that I was a novice, and the waiter kindly suggested what he thought was the best example of the cuisine on the menu — boneless chicken kebabs. Served with rice and a roasted tomato, these pieces were perfectly grilled, fresh and tender...nice flavor with a citrus taste. Simple but good. Started with a Shirazi salad (Persian cucumbers, tomatoes, cilantro), very refreshing, and the native bread (whose name I asked but currently escapes me) was made fresh, easy to see it happening in the kitchen, and served warm. A type of pita flavored flatbread w/o any pocket. Butter was served alongside, but when I inquired whether this was an authentic aspect of the cuisine, I was told, as I smiled at the reply, that this condiment was adapted to the LA palate. Looked like a lot of native Iranians enjoying the food here. Was good, not spectacular, but worth investigating again. Good service, pleasant atmosphere, clean and comfortable, all for <$18 for lunch (w/o tip) for one of the featured lunch specials (instead of a salad, could also choose soup).

It was hard deciding what to order with so many options. Far more than I have previously seen at Persian restaurants (though maybe I don't go to enough Persian restaurants). In addition to the stews and kabobs, there was grilled fish and there were rice dishes with almost a dozen kinds of rice. I went for stew with plain rice (but very curious about the rice with orange, pistachios, almonds, and rosewater). I visited alone but I was given enough food for more than two. It was tasty and filling, and I plan to go back.

The food was not that good at all. And I give the 2 star to the service and their freshly made hot bread. I wish they make their kabob with better quality both me and my husband had upset stomach after eating there.
