Okay, first of all, you need to finish everything on your plate. JK. But seriously, the shabu combo is all inclusive, with udon, rice , veggies, and choice of protein. We ordered the beef brisket. The lady would not cook the porridge until you finish the veggie The service is quick though, but when they are about to close, you have to eat fast. I ate with 4 of my friend and we spent around $30 per person with 3 portions of shabu combo. We were fully stuffed!

We found this place by mistake but the food was delicious! You also get a choice of cooking some of the food on the menu at your table or having them cook it for you (no food smell on your clothes).

Went here on a last minute whim with some friends and was so happy with my experience!! The food is very good, fresh, and the service was awesome and attentive. They answered any dietary questions I had too. Overall, if you want to eat with a group of people this place is ideal because it's served family style.

Be the first to ReplyFirst time at a Korean Shabu restaurant and it did not
First time at a Korean Shabu restaurant and it did not dissapoint. It was kind of pricey, but definitely worth it. Also, it was easy to share. Plenty of banchan in the beginning and for the main course we ordered the bbq short ribs and a Shabu Combo. Definitely enough for 4 people to share. They also cut the veggies in a different way than how Chinese shabu places do it, and they also help to cook the meat. Very tasty~

I feel like a lot of people sleep on Seoul garden but don't sleep on this place. You get good service, good banchan (side dishes) and heartwarming goood shabu. Shabu combo comes with meat of your choice, plate of veggies, udon noodles!!! And you can add rice to make porridge at the end of your meals.

Roast goo-gui is really good but their portions have shrunk while their price have increased. The price of their seafood pancake has also increased significantly.
Be the first to ReplySeoul Garden's shabu is the first Korean shabu my husband
Seoul Garden's shabu is the first Korean shabu my husband and I have ever had. It's definitely different than the majority of shabu spots so read on for more info. Parking is excellent because there's a decent sized lot that is attached to the restaurant. We went right when they opened so it was really easy finding parking. This is a major plus!Service was great! All the waitresses are quick and attentive and will even come by and help you cook your food. If you're opting for shabu, it's suggested you order a set per person. We ordered one chuck and one brisket set. Their banchan is really good - really fresh and unique selections. I really loved the beef stew dish! Really warming and comforting and a great way to start the meal. There is no broth selection (just a standard broth) and only one dipping sauce. The focus is really on the meat and veggies which come out first. Once the meat and veggies are done, a waitress will come by with udon noodles to cook in the remaining broth for a nice udon noodle soup dish. After that, the last of the broth is used to make a rice porridge. Rice, egg, nori, and sesame oil are all combined and cooked to create the most delicious porridge. I'm totally taking this idea back home with me. It's so simple but so delicious - good for a cold day!Overall, we had a great experience! The dining room is spacious and clean, and the music was k-pop at a good level where you can still have a conservation. Don't be afraid to ask the waitresses for more banchan or refills on buckwheat water :)

My friends met here on their first Tinder date, and they're now married. They showed us this place as a nice restaurant for Korean hot pot. They also have Korean barbecue, but our friend said that this place is best for Korean hot pot.Our friend ended up ordering six portions of the brisket combo. The combo comes with vegetables, tofu, kabocha, and udon and rice at the end.Naturally, as with any Korean BBQ place, banchan is served. I loved the beef tendon banchan, it was my favorite, and I couldn't stop eating it. The spicy octopus was pretty good too.The brisket went super well with the dipping sauce, as did the vegetables. At the end, they add udon, which was delicious. At the very end, they add rice to make a porridge with all the broth that has been sitting in all the delicious beef juices and vegetables. The porridge was amazing, also.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing! Went for the first time last week with some
Amazing! Went for the first time last week with some friends who love it there. I've had loads of Korean food but I don't recall having Korean Shabu Shabu (Jing-Gee Shkan) and I am a real fan. High quality veggies and beef that is cooked in a communal broth hot pot at your table, also with dipping sauce or sesame oil and salt. Various banchan, all quite good. Later on, udon noodles, then the remaining broth used to make rice porridge. Comfort food. We also shared an order of bulgogi made in the kitchen. Everything was great and we walked out fat and happy. Highly recommend!
Be the first to ReplyHotpot is good and pretty novel.
The best part is the rice porridge at the end. The reason I'm giving four stars is because I think the meat is good but nothing special. Nangmyeon is good though.
Be the first to ReplyAlways my favorite.
The meats are very tender and all the side dishes are tasty and lots of variety. When you eat the shabu shabu at the same time you eat with lots of vegetable so you don't feel too greasy. Every time when out of towner is in LA . This is the must go restaurants. I especially love the porridge at the end of the meal. The place has been renovated so it looks brighter and modern.
Be the first to ReplyI've been dreaming about Jing-Gee Skhan (Shabu Shabu)
I've been dreaming about Jing-Gee Skhan (Shabu Shabu) lately. We arrived at the restaurant at 6 pm, and there were plenty of parking spaces available in the restaurant and many empty tables. During busy hours, they have valet service, and I recommend having your vehicle valet due to the nature of the neighborhood. The area is a bit sketchy. By the time we were done with our meal, customers were pouring in and many seated, so I'm glad we dined during a less busy time. What we ordered: SHABU SHABU COMBO with CHUCK STEAK (Assorted vegetables, dipping sauce, udon noodles, rice porridge) - This is the ONLY RESTAURANT in LA that makes Shabu Shabu in this format where the meat and vegetables are dipped in an oddly round-shaped bowl filled with broth. To make the best out of this meal, make sure to scale the 1:1 ratio of vegetables and meat. Next, when you are done with the meat and vegetables, make sure to dump the liquid that's been building up in a separate bowl (request if not available) for the udon. You will have a less soggy experience. BIBIM NAENGMYEON (Buckwheat Noodle Dish w/ Slices of Brisket, Pickled Radish, Pickled Cucumber, Korean Pear, and Hard Boiled Egg) - I love the taste of this dish because it's served cold and has a spicy, tangy, and chewy texture. The red sauce poured on top is a mixture of sesame oil and Korean chili paste. The noodle also complements the crunchy texture of the radish and refreshing taste from the cucumber. If spicy noodles are not your forte, I recommend its cousin, Mul Naengmyeon (Ice cold broth without the spice).

Was not what I expected, will definitely stick to what I know next time. Service was good though. Food was mid.
Be the first to ReplyFood is absolutely delicious here but my goodness portion
Food is absolutely delicious here but my goodness portion is sooooo small!!! After spending almost hundred bucks, came home hungry. Back in the days portion was plenty to go around and always satisfying. Food is so good but for sure I won't go back.
Be the first to ReplySo filling.
So good. Side dishes are wonderful - got the kimchi side like 4x! So many greens. And then the udon noodles are chewy delicious-ness. And the rice porridge is the best on a cold evening.Just say hell freaking yes.
Be the first to ReplyI been exsisting customer for long time.
Their price went up also PORTION GOT so small. Is not worth this seoul garden shabu anymore
Be the first to Replydefinitely one of my favorite places to go in koreatown!
definitely one of my favorite places to go in koreatown! i've had their shabu shabu i think more than a hundred times haha. been coming here for more than ten years and they never ever let me down! they give you delicious simple side dishes that go so perfectly with your meat. this time i went though we got their kbbq dish instead of their shabu shabu and it was also so AMAZING!! * roast gui - 10/10. they make you kimchi fried rice after on the pan with side dishes and the beef and oooh my it is amazing. the quality was AGAIN AMAZING!! * bibimnaengymyun (spicy cold noodles) - 10/10. not pictured but this place actually has the BEST naengmyun. i eat it with the beef and OOOO the combo. the sauce is a little sweet and spicy and the portion size is decent too! * seafood pancake (not pictured) - 8/10. so crispy and delicious! packed with seafood. my mom can literally inhale the whole thing in one sitting haha.
Be the first to ReplyDecided to give this place another chance and I'm pleased
Decided to give this place another chance and I'm pleased we did. I believe they were having an off-day last time, because this time around everything was lovely. The food, service and ambiance were beyond satisfactory. We will be back.
Be the first to ReplyVery traditional shabu shabu.
Will cater to older folks more, but would be a solid choice for everyone. Not AYCE, and the amount is slightly small.I tried the Cold Buckwheat Noodle as well. Not shabby, but does not excel in any way, and is overpriced.Overall, I'd recommend one of the AYCE locations over this place. The meat quality is not that different, but the price tag is in multiples.

Fresh and high quality!! Must try the Seoul Garden Jook!! The Korean style Shabu Shabu is great too! Overall this is a good real Korean Shabu house. The services is very friendly and sweet! For sure I'll back. Love the Jook!
Be the first to ReplyI used to love this place back in the days.
The food always felt like it hit home but ever since management changed and they renovated the place, the customer service and everything it just horrible. I called to make sure they can seat us since it was near closing time and even asked if i can get seated which he agreed too but when we got there he told me they would rush us to finish eating which absolutely made no sense. Certainly left a bad taste in my mouth!

QUALITY, QUALITY, QUALITYcame here w/ my parents and brother and initially we were a little intimated by the prices for shabu shabu (we are always enjoying AYCE and a lil frugal) but man oh maaan this place is 1000% worth and I would be down to come back again and drop big bags!We had 3 servings of the shabu shabu and everything just tasted so clean and fresh. Meat was nicely cut and had great marbling, veggie platter was full of a wide array of assortments, including those korean minty leaves which I hate but ended up enjoying here. They then add udon and make a juk at the end and it was the perfect closer, similar to Kenley Jansen in the prime pre Astros days or Carmelo in the crunch. Eat your jjuk w/ all the banchan especially the pickled cucumber looking one and the spicy squid radish, it is the perfect flavor combo.don't get me started on the rest of the sides, warm jjangjoreem aka braised beef? and the kimchi, yum yumWe also ordered the seafood pancake, it was a bit pricey $26?!, but we left very satisfied. originally planned on togo-ing half of the pancake for my sister but you know I had to go into work on it. unfortunately my sister was unable to enjoy the pancake and we togo-ed her some jack in the box.can not wait to come back here again, would be a nice date spot, family luncheon, coming out dinner, you get the drill.bless
Be the first to ReplyFirst time having Korean-style shabu shabu! They have kbbq
First time having Korean-style shabu shabu! They have kbbq as well. There is a minimum of 2 orders. We got the shabu combo with chuck steak. It comes with their SG veggie mix (napa cabbage, green onions, chives, perilla leaves, kabocha squash, white mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, tofu, kamaboko), broth, dipping sauce, udon noodles, rice, egg, and seaweed. A side of banchan is provided with unlimited refills. The broth is light & the meat is thinly cut. Everything tastes delicious in their dipping sauce. No need for rice and all very filling. The rice porridge they make for you at the end is a simple mixture of broth, rice, nori, egg, and sesame oil but so yummy! I would love to try their duck next time.I will definitely be back. Note: They're now delivering their shabu with free delivery when you order $65+!
