Amazing!
We ordered several small plates to share among 5 people. Whipped feta, hummus, pickles, carrots were our small plates and we also enjoyed lamb kabobs and hangar steak! For dessert we had halvah and the baklava! Our meal was amazing. We shared all our plates and enjoyed a relaxing meal. Will return again!

So good!! Everything we had was so good! The drinks, the hummus, the fattoush, the whipped feta, the falafel, the cheese borekas!! We truly enjoyed every dish and every flavor. A great experience. Would love to come when it was a warm day so the garage doors could be open but still liked the ambiance. Hopefully I will be back!
Be the first to ReplyOutstanding Brunch- MUST go
This review is about their weekend brunch. I see people have left reviews for dinner and brunch. Dinner is sit down service order from menu, brunch is set price buffet style. I cant speak to the dinner offerings but, the brunch is CRAZY AWESOME! I will try and describe the experience, but I donโt think i can give it true justice . Check out all my pictures (lots) to see the greatness for yourself. This is NOT your typical restaurant cheap blah buffet, this is high end selection, quality and flavor. The chefs are right there facing you preparing all the dishes you are eating. They take pride on what they are preparing and it shows. This Israeli/Mediterranean cuisine offerings mixed with traditional brunch dishes is down very well. Our group tried nearly everything they offered- i think i went up five times LOL- and by the end we were happily stuffed and all were saying โwow!โ Definitely give Safta a brunch visit you will not be disappointed .

Our first Israeli focused restaurant. A sharing menu of delicious dishes full of flavour. A vibrant and busy venue definitely a Denver highlight.
Be the first to ReplyIn one word - disappointment!!!
Average at best. I dined at many Israeli restaurant, and was looking forward to din ing at Santa on my trip to Denver. I had high expectations given the vibe the place has. What a disappointment!!!!! The food was just OK, nothing impressive. The most disappointing thing was the size of the dishes. The "Salatim" (appetizers) were the size of food samples. We were a parry of 8, and our waiter recommended to order about 15 appetizers. We ordered 18. When they were served , I was shocked. Tiny little plates with food samples!!! The variety was minimal, and the taste - OK. nothing to die for. The entrees were average as well. We didn't bother to stay for the desert. In one word - disappointment!!!

Great brunch. Loved the egg in the skillet. Lots of healthy choices. Watch your bill. Ours was delivered upside down on the tray. My husband put his credit card down, assuming that we were charged for 2 persons brunch. Good thing he turned it over to look before the card was collected for payment. The waitress charged us for 4 people brunch. She quickly apologized, rolled her eyes, and fixed the bill. My question is, why present it to the patron upside down?

Safta has been a gem of an experience. I had gone for brunch and the menu was extensive. It started with erray of different breads and jams. I particularly enjoyed plum and apricot jam. That was followed by hummus, Tahini and pitta bread with israili salad. There were egg items and some non vegetarian fares. 3- 4 types of coffee and tea were included in the price. Safta was outright 5 star experience with excellent service.

Really disappointed! The food was like-warm, and dry. The wait staff was mildly attentive. Not a great night!

Absolutely fantastic experience from the get go. We ordered baba ganoush for a starter. It was fresh and creamy and the pita for dipping felt right from the oven. The Tunisian tomato hummus was outrageous with fresh crispy veggies for dipping including fennel, raddish and more. The starter and salatim (salad) were so good we could have stopped there, but thankfully we did not. My wife and i also split the hanger steak entree and it was positively phenomenal...so tender it literally melted in your mouth. We had never had Israeli food before but we will definitely have it again. I'd give it 10 stars if I could. Everyone there we encountered was helpful and friendly and they have a large gluten free menu where we ordered everything from.
Be the first to ReplyNice, but expensive for what you get!
We enjoyed the pita (best ever) , the hummus was delicious. The eggplant and chicken were good. Most everyone enjoyed, however the wine list was way overpriced and quite limited. Nice cocktail menu, I was a bit surprised to see a 4% kitchen appreciation fee.
Be the first to ReplyJust a bad, overpriced restaurant with lousy food
Can't say anything positive about this restaurant experience. The location is terrible, the atmosphere is warehouse cheap and tacky, the chairs were uncomfortable, the food quality was lousy, and I ended with an upset stomach from their bad cooking oils. To add insult to injury, not only were the prices ridiculously high, management snuck in a 4% "kitchen appreciation fee," which was never discussed up front by the wait staff. All in all, this is a restaurant that deserves to fail. I will never eat there again.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious food in a nice modern setting
Delicious Israeli and Mediterranean inspired food in a nice attractive dining room. Service was friendly and efficient. Since we ordered plates to share, our waitress coursed all of the food appropriately. Cocktails were delicious as well. The hummus option we tried (with a lamb ragout) was great, and the fresh pita are fantastic. If I had to find any fault, I wish the chef was a tad bit more restrained with salting. That said, I'm sensitive to salt and wish the already delicious food here could stand on it's own without the extra salt. The whipped feta small plate was also delicious, as were the crispy eggplant. All in all, we really enjoyed our dinner. Valet parking is available, but not validated. On street parking is difficult, but there is a garage attached to the hotel, first hour free, then $8 an hour which was reasonable. Go give this restaurant a try!

Found this restaurant as highly rated for brunch and it was about as close as Iโve been to the perfect brunch. Copious endless variety, mez, smoked fish, meats and salads. Be sure to save room for the amazing desserts.

Exceptional Food and attentive service. The food is definitely capable of a Michelin star for their Israeli and Mideastern cuisine.
Be the first to ReplyDO NOT MISS a visit here!
Wow, this place came highly recommended but it went above our expectations! If you are a foodie and love to try different dishes, this place is for you. Every single thing we had was to die for - lamb ragu hummus, whipped feta, lamb kebabs, the chicken harissa (THIS IS TO DIE FOR! I do not usually order chicken at restaurants, but wow), muhammara. The only thing I would not recommend is the Persian rice just because it wasn't cooked all the way. If I lived in Denver, I would go back every week until I've tried it all. It was that amazing. Wines are pretty expensive, but damn the food is not to be missed! Great atmosphere and lots of people working to help make the experience just as great!
Be the first to ReplyMostly great, would definitely go back
We visited Safta on a busy summer night, and the place was packed. Service was a bit slow to come take our order but food came fast. The various hummus are amazing, especially the one with lamb ragu, and the curried cauliflower one. Their pita bread is by no means what my middle eastern family would call pita, but itโs absolutely delicious (and dangerously addicting). The eggplant dishes were great (we had both). The charred cabbage was interesting but not sure Iโd order it again. The low note was the kofta dish (overcooked, burnt into the pan - maybe too much going on and the kitchen missed the timer?) Overall a great meal. Highly recommend.

We had such an amazing experience that we went again the next day. Upon seeing us again the manager offered us a free desert too, Really Thank you for that. It's an amazing restaurant, be sure that you have a reservation. The falafel were the best I have ever had. All dishes we ordered were amazing, can't wait to try the whole menu :D

Wow. Simply stunning examples of delicious Israeli street food. Simple decor, good service. I will be back!
Be the first to ReplyThe matzo ball soup is delectable and unique
After a long day working, we decided to dash out at 8:30 for dinner and were so lucky (apparently) to get a reservation. We began with cocktails and made as ordered, Labneh (delicious), the mushroom hummus - mushrooms were so delicious, the most amazing pita bread straight from the wood burning stove, falafel, a crispy fresh fattoush, a must get duck matzo ball soup and fabulous harissa chicken. I love a unique and flavorful matzo ball soup and this one delights and I can honestly say is one of the best I've had - a must order. Actually, I'd order our lineup here, which fed the three of us and you will not be disappointed. A must stop by next time I'm in town.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic food - at a price
Five star eating - unusual and greatly enjoyed. The hummus starters were excellent - lamb ragu and tahini with warm, soft and thick pitta. Mains of falafel, cheese borekas, fried halloumi, wagyu beef makmoura and pomegranate lamb shank. So why four star? Only the price: $80 per head was our most expensive restaurant in our Denver visit.
