Always great
The Princeton store has become a regular stop for me and my family. The people that work there are always nice and respectful. The steaks are always cooked perfect as is all the apps, desserts etc. My only complaint would be some of the customers that come in to dine.... wearing torn jeans and sneakers should not be accepted.
Be the first to ReplyRuth Chris Princeton maintains exceptional standards for ribeye sautéed spinach and lobster Mac & cheese (my go2 entree)
Ruth Chris has always been reserved for special events or special dinners with clients or VIP’s but this trip was simply requested to satisfy a “go2” meal preference when eating out and though a price point higher than average, it was well worth the cost! Presentation, seasonings, veggie coupling was simply the best! Suggested bottle of vino was altered by a 2go portion of the incredible lobster seafood mac&cheese Just wonderful! Sorry Delmonico’s (though RC like PF Chang’s are both a heralded nationwide chain) the Princeton RC is borderline ‘brand royalty! Kudos

My husband and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary at the Ruth's Chris in King of Prussia so we were excited to share our 10 year anniversary there as well. Sadly the one in KOP is no longer open, so we made a reservation at this one. During the reservation, during check in and verbally to our waitress and assistant we shared this again. Last time they made it romantic with roses and chocolate swirls with strawberries for dessert. I did see them put a candle on our neighbors dessert but when it came time for us there was nothing. it was surprising that they didn't do anything. We ordered dessert, so even if they had put a candle in like they did for our neighbor we would have appreciated it. The attention to detail was really lacking here. We ordered our drinks, then ordered appetizers and were surprised that the appetizers came first. We got the calamari which didn't look so good, but was delicious. I think the glaze is what threw us off. We also ordered the ahi tuni which looked small, and the sauce was different, it was just o.k. After we were done with the appetizers the waitress asked for our dinner request, we still hadn't gotten our drinks so I asked if our drinks were coming. She said yes and they came soon after. It was strange, typically you get your drinks before the appetizers. I had ordered a martini that I wanted to drink with my apps and then was going to get red wine with my steak, so it was a little backwards. We ordered the porterhouse for 2 with the truffle parm break crumb topping and it was to die for-phenomenal. For sides we got mashed potatoes, french fries and the brussel sprouts. My steak was so good i never got to try the french fries and by the time I got to the other sides they were cold. But the steak was amazing. For dessert we ordered the chocolate sin cake and creme brulee and both were good. We took my son and he asked for red wine with his steak, asking for the waitresses opinion, she suggested 2 wines and he went with whatever she suggested without looking at the price-his fault, not hers. It was a $27 glass of wine. It was good but we wouldn't normally pay that. Our bill for 4 of us came to $475, without tip. A little shocking. I think if the service had been on point, drinks out when they should be, recognized our 10 year anniversary,I would have felt better about spending that. It was the first time we took our kids that are married to celebrate with us and it just wasn't the experience I wanted them to have as their first. I used to go to the one in Philly all the time for special occasions and it was always top notch. This one really did not live up to the reputation.

I don't eat much meat, especially red meat but, when I do, Ruth's is my go-to place. I had a rare Petit Filet that was perfection! Hot, juicy and served on their signature sizzling platter, it was a real treat. I added a side of sauteed mushrooms that were a perfect companion for the Filet. I began with an appetizer of a Shrimp Cocktail. The shrimp were large and very tasty when dipped in the accompanying Cocktail Sauce. And I can't forget the perfect Vodka Martini that made everything --- including my birthday--- just a little better.
Be the first to ReplyPoor service. Subpar food. Covid protocols lacking.
Service was the biggest disappointment here. Waiter's mask worn under his nose and did not ensure confidence that covid protocols were followed. No steak knife for the steak until requested; listless personal engagement by the waiter; the filet looked more like a sirloin cut and was fatty to boot. This was not Ruth Chris' finest hour to say the least.
Be the first to ReplyRibeye is to die for!
Went to dinner here last week and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The ribeye steak was top-class. The tables were socially distanced, and they have changed from family sides to individual sides for the COVID era. If meat is your thing, you won't get a better experience than here.

Ordered dinner with friend. Took out only as per NJ gidelines. The service was friendly but our order was slightly delayed. It was brought out to our car with clear instructions on how to heat it up if our trip was delayed. The Chef and helper went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied. Got it home. It was packed immacuately. Re-heated as per instructions and then ate food. It was price fixed with salad, main course and sides-price was reasonable. The steaks were superb, cooked to our liking and tender, juicy-the best we have had in years. Caesar salad was large and delicious. The sides were excellent with condiments on side. It was wonderful and when Restaurants re-opens would go back there in a heartbeat !

Was there this last Monday evening. Crystal seated us promptly, had Tommy as our server. He is recommended. Strip, crab legs, lamb chops, sea bass and the rare tuna were all outstanding. A glass of Faust followed by a glass of Prisoner were excellent choices. Highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyTruly a Five Star experience
My wife & I went to Ruth's Chris Steak House to celebrate our Anniversary. I have to say it was a truly five star experience. The food was awesome, so was the decor and above all their service. They make you feel special. Totally! From the time you enter the restaurant.. helping you with your jacket... to the time you leave the restaurant. I had dined at the other highly/highest (tripadvisor) rated restaurants in/around princeton area, but I have to say Ruth's Chris Steam House was the best! Will absolutely go there again.

Dear Jose Morales, After recently moving to the area we heard great things about your restaurant. Unfortunately, we didn’t make a reservation for New Years Eve. My wife and I arrived to RC at 6:30PM and were fortunate enough to receive lounge seating past the bar area even though the restaurant was fully committed. The staff was prompt initially; came over and provided drink menus and wished us a happy new year. Within a few minutes another waitress who introduced herself said she would be assisting with taking care of us and would get us started with bread while we looked over the drink menu. 15-20 minutes later we were still waiting on someone to come back. As we were about to leave due to being abandoned a third waitress came over who took our order so we decided to stay. It was 6:55PM at this time and I asked if I could order a burger (available until 7) when I was told “I’m sorry unfortunately you can’t” as she looked at her phone that struck 6:57PM by the time we finalized our beverage order and moved on from ordering appetizer to main course. Our drinks came promptly and I ordered steak vs. the burger that I heard great things about and figured I would just try to enjoy. My wife got a salad in which I’m assuming a runner brought it over and was kind enough to bring an extra plate. I asked the young gentleman for bread that we were told was on its way and he said he would bring it right out. Not 40 seconds later a fourth waitress came by and said were you going to use this as she grabbed the spare plate and said I was wondering “is he going to lick the salad clean”? I was appalled... barely any service and someone comes over to make a comment about a clean plate sitting in front of me... Time passed with yet again no bread as the main course came from a different runner that I asked for bread...as we completed our meals (which I will say was very tasty) there was no check in, no bread, no one to be found but all the staff waiting on a large party sitting adjacent us. We tried getting the attention of the wait staff several times but the booth wall was too high. We ended up eating our sides without additional sauces, etc... Finally, as we wrapped up our meals another waitress (again different) checked in and asked how everything was going. I was very honest and told her about the service where she provided my wife a glass of wine on the house and offered dessert. She was very nice but it was just too late. $155 later we had great steak but with lackluster service. Felt the need to reach out as I know New Years Eve was very busy but there are still first time customers with first time impressions in a restaurant that is famous for their quality of service. Unfortunately, our experience trying this restaurant didn’t meet these standards for a bill that is twice the price of all other steakhouses with even better service. I attempted to send this via email privately based on the business card in the front lobby but the email address doesn’t exist...
