Ruth's Chris Steak House Las Vegas Reviews from The Last Year
We had a reservation but were seated about 15 minutes after
We had a reservation but were seated about 15 minutes after our reservation time. It was not very crowded as it was a Tuesday night. Service was great and our waiter (I believe Matt) and his assistant were excellent. Checked up on us regularly and my soda was always refilled without asking. I went with the 3-course meal for $115. Seafood gumbo to start was very good. Good rue and a lot of flavor. Others at my table got the Caesar salad and it looked average at best. I selected the 11 oz filet which came with a "personal sized" side. Not sure if you can see it in my picture, but I got creamed spinach and it was probably enough for 3 people as a side. If you are with multiple people doing the 3-course, I suggest you each get a different side and share. My steak was slightly undercooked. I know it's difficult to get a piece of meat that thick to have a consistent pink throughout without overcooking, but they're supposed to be the experts. Was expecting an expert cook on the meat at $100 a piece. I will add that the meat was melt in your mouth tender. Even the parts I felt were undercooked did not need much chew. I could taste the dry age throughout the meat, so I know it was a prime cut. Seasoning was very light and I did add a bit of salt, but I'm a salt freak so it's expected. The cheesecake is your only option for dessert. It was decent. Felt a little dry to me, but others at my table really liked it. Nothing special about the chocolate side either. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience. I think it's way overpriced, but that's to be expected at a chain like Ruth's Chris.
I have been hearing about Ruth's Chris steak house for
I have been hearing about Ruth's Chris steak house for decades but never got around to going. Now trust me I'm a steak kinda guy. When my wife and I travel I make sure to schedule a steak dinner since it will be chicken and fish when I get home. I had heart surgery a while ago and my wife takes care of my diet at home. God bless her. BUT when we are out I go for it. The Ruth's Chris in Fresno is on the fringes of a nice mall there. We were promptly seated and I ordered a classic Old Fashion. Not available at home. My wife had a glass of red wine. I usually skip appetizers cause I feel it takes up space that could be taken up by steak. I had the New York strip and my wife had the Petit Filet. Medium Rare of course. Anyone that has well done steaks should be kicked out of the country immediately. That aside the steaks were perfect. Tender, flavorful juicy I also had some mashed potatoes on the side. Of course I had what my wife left of her filet mignon. Maybe that's why I had the previously mentioned heart attack. A great meal good drinks super attentive wait staff. Ruth's Chris I should have come by a long time ago. Definitely recommended.
Overpriced and very disappointing food
My wife and I went here for what we hoped would be a nice romantic meal. Unfortunately, we were sorely disappointed. I had a New York strip steak which was a very poor piece of meat. It was tough and had lots of gristle which was of course inedible. I had green beans as a side which was ok. The best thing I had was a Caeser's salad which was very good, My wife had a baked potato which wasn't even warm and grilled asparagus which was truly awful. It was stringy and had no flavor. All in all a terrible meal with a hefty price tag attached. The restaurant itself is nice and has nice views of the strip. The service was acceptable. Obviously we won't be going back given the substandard food and sky high prices.
Ruth’s Chris Restaurant Las Vegas is a definite “NO”
My husband and I have dined at Ruth’s Chris in Beverly Hills, California and in Asheville, North Carolina, and had good experiences at both locations. This time we decided to dine at the Las Vegas location since we are now local residents. The Open Table app said that they only had a 4:30 pm time available, even though we preferred a later time. We accepted the 4:30 pm reservation because it appeared that they were really busy since there was no other time available. Once we arrived at close to 4:45 pm, because the restaurant is difficult to find at Harrah’s Hotel, the large restaurant was 95% empty, we were very surprised. We were escorted us to a small table in the back. We said we preferred a larger table by the window since it’s a huge restaurant and it was practically empty, the waitress said ok. She then came back 10 minutes later to tell us that our table was “reserved” for someone else. We suggested they seat the guests at the tables on either side of us, same location same window. She insisted on moving us away from window. We decided not to stay. My husband asked for the manager and let them know that they weren’t customer friendly. The manager said she’s sorry but the window tables have a $25 surcharge. That was the first time anyone mentioned an additional charge. We had to laugh since the Formula One race happened several months ago and there was no longer any reason for the surcharge, especially since there’s really no view to speak of from the restaurant. During the time we spent there not a single additional guest entered the restaurant. We decided to take our business elsewhere, to a restaurant we frequent regularly that has delicious food and drinks, as well as great management by Shawn Norris, general manager at VIC & ANTHONY’S. He knows the art of keeping customers happy, which is of course the secret of their success. Needless to say, it’s no wonder Ruth’s Chris restaurant was nearly empty. Bad management decisions appears to have resulted in good paying customers preferring to just walk away. The management & staff had ample opportunity to retain a potential returning customer but they chose to alienate us instead.
Great steak horrible rip off
Without Question the steak was delicious! The complimentary dessert was lovely for the two men sharing their Birthdays and delicious BUT and HOWEVER the service was horrible. First off we had requested a window seat and although the restaurant was empty when we arrived and when we left, they said there was no one to serve in those sections . Later on we were told if we want a table there, there is an additional $25 US per PERSON fee to sit there??? Earnest was our server and he was attentive the first few minutes but once we placed our orders he never came back till the food was being delivered and somehow developed a terrible attitude during that time also. Our bill for six adults and two of those couples shared a steak to boot came to $1300 US Needless to say their birthdays were ruined by this experience. There are a thousand restaurants in Vegas that serve steak. Avoid this place it has obviously passed its "prime"

Had to wait an hour for a table despite the restaurant not being busy. Paid $25 per person for a strip view. The view consisted of the front entrance to the forum shops across the street. The food was good. The service was adequate but not great. We ordered a dessert of lava cake and chocolate mousse. They substituted vanilla ice cream for the chocolate mousse. Okay at Dennys but not at an upscale restaurant for $150 per person. My friend went to the restroom while I paid the bill. A strange man sat down at the table and proceeded to strike up a conversation. I paid my bill and left. My friend and I were both very disappointed with Ruth Chris Steakhouse. We will never go there again nor recommend it to anyone.
My husband & I ate there one night.
We sat at the bar. The service was excellent. We shared the ribeye for two. It melted in your mouth. It was delicious. The caesar salad was fantastic & the drinks were great.
Ruth's Chris is my wife's favorite restaurant by far.
We've been over 100 times across 10 different locations spanning from Hawaii to Atlanta & this Las Vegas location is BY FAR the best one. It's the biggest location out of all the rest, very spacious and the food is absolutely incredible. I'm not sure why but the food here always tastes so much better at this specific location. We always sit at the bar and Ron takes such good care of us. He gets our order in quickly or allows us to really take our time, and will change the TV channel to something I want to watch! Overall, if you're looking for the best food + service, Las Vegas Ruth's Chris is the place to be!
The atmosphere and overall ambience was delightful.
The service was top notch. We made a reservation for a table at the window with a view of the strip. The food was amazing. We had the crab and corn bisque, filet, and sweet potato casserole. Will definitely return to this place next time we are in town.
We had a great seat with a nice view and ambiance, the food
We had a great seat with a nice view and ambiance, the food was amazing, and Hunter provided professional, fast and efficient service. Thank you Hunter!
Fake and fraud
What is going on with Harrahs???? They offer you complimentary based on your play then charge you overpriced food anyways. I wasn't feeling good so I had the dinner delivered to my room, after losing $2500 this trip they give me $150 food comp and still bill it to my room. Come on guys. I'm going to start going to MGM , I have no choice here. It's total nonsense, then I get a huge runaround at checkout like it's my fault....So long Caesars Ent........find some other Suckers
The absolute BEST steak you'll ever have! We've visited
The absolute BEST steak you'll ever have! We've visited several Ruth Chris' steakhouses in many states and the food has always been consistently delicious. The lobster mac n' cheese is divine and the garlic crusted sea bass is the most delicious piece of fish you'll ever have. Hands down our absolute favorite restaurant EVER!!!!!
Ruth's Chris Steak House unexpectedly WOWED me! My sisters
Ruth's Chris Steak House unexpectedly WOWED me! My sisters made a reservation here to celebrate my birthday - this was my first time eating at this restaurant. I never really had an interest in eating here (I don't eat red meat), but I think this experience forever changed my mind. [Ambiance] We sat next to a window that provided a beautiful view of LV Blvd. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and perfectly designed for an elegant dining experience. We ordered a lot of food! Here's what I enjoyed: * Complimentary bread - served with freshly whipped butter. Excellent! * Seared ahi - the sauce was amazing. * Stuffed mushrooms - I love mushrooms and this dish was really tasty. You gotta try it. * Chilean Sea Bass - Ah-mazingggg! The panko garlic crust added a nice crunchy texture. The fish was perfectly cooked and the spinach with lemon butter was delicious. * Cauliflower Au Gratin - a slightly lighter version of the potato side dish; it's really good. * Potato Au Gratin- this signature side dish was my favorite. It was rich, creamy, and indulgent. * Sweet Potato Casserole - another signature side dish and it was absolutely superb. * Chocolate Lava Cake with Chocolate mousse - decadent and delicious! * Creme Brûlée - this was good, but I only had a small bite because I was stuffed at this point. [Service] Ernest and Mala were attentive and provided top-notch service. They made us feel like VIPs. The restaurant manager, Christine, also made us feel welcomed when she visited our table and thanked us for coming in. Shout out to the bartender, AJ, who recommended our delicious wine, it was excellent. It was clear that this place is well-managed, and everyone enjoys working there - rare, but certainly a treat to see. 5-stars! :)
My husband and i love Ruth's Chris, we're originally from
My husband and i love Ruth's Chris, we're originally from Dallas TX, so of course we had to try it here in Vegas! The food was AMAZING, service was 10/10. Our server was beyond funny and nice! Yes, the prices are a little higher than we've seen at the Dallas location, but it's the Vegas strip. We expected it, and that's okay because it was well worth it!! We enjoy the food and our night!
Great food pricey
I made reservations three days prior to my services. I arrived on time for dinner, however the lobby was full and I had to wait in addition 20 minutes. However the food was delicious, I had the mixed grill, with crab cake, chicken breast and mini filet migion. Tender and my spouse had New York strip steak very tenderize.
BIG Regrets
I’ll start by saying that, no – I don’t consider Ruth Chris an upscale or fine dining establishment in any way, shape, or form. Ruth Chris was usually just a place I’d drop by to get a stuffed chicken + ahi tuna to-go for dinner when I lived in Cali, and it’s pretty run-of-the-mill, but I always found it reliable. I recently decided to try out this location (since I now live in Vegas), and boy, oh boy, what a disappointment. I got food poisoning. The shrimp and Ahi Tuna did me in. Pretty disappointing. Again, I don’t consider Ruth Chris upscale, but at the very least, they should not be serving bad or expired seafood at the prices they command. The rest of the food at this location is also pretty bland and leaves much to be desired. There is barely any flavor in any of their dishes here. I’d beware before eating here. I’ll never eat at a Ruth Chris restaurant ever again.
Disaster on Christmas Evening
We will never ever go to this restaurant again on a holiday. When we arrived for a 5:30 reservation, we were shocked at how many people were lined up all the way down the halls and every available place where you could stand around the hostess stand. They were way behind seating people and there seemed to be no urgency between the hostess, another seater and the manager. They absolutely were not moving like the place was on fire when there were countless people waiting to be seated. There were plenty of tables and maybe not enough waitstaff so they need to be better prepared. Also when someone pays their ridiculous money grabbing fee of $50 for a booth or premium seating, they should be moved to the top of the priority list for seating. Our service was good and it appeared that all of the waitstaff was hustling but no one at the front was. We talked to a couple of ladies on our way out and they were seated 1 hour and 15 minutes past their reservation. If you have show reservations I think you should pick another place to eat before going here. It was a nightmare1
Never again
500$ for three people….the lobster bisque was un-eatable … wine (a bottle) arrived after the appetizers…our window table reservation was gone …. And in any case would have been 25$ each….you cannot ask this money just because it’s you…sorry
Unbelievable they raised prices even more!
Just when you thought it could not get any more expensive, it did!!! Last month the rib eye steak was $75. Tonight it was $90. Glass of wine $25. Now, do not get me wrong, the steak was excellent, but come on. So, this is our last visit to Ruth’s Chris. We have been frequent customers, but we just cannot justify spending this kind of money. We are not on an expense account and that seems like the clientele they are trying to gouge.
Ruth Chris Gouges Customers
Ruth’s Chris has been one of our favorite restaurants in Las Vegas for years. However on my visit two weeks ago, I was flabbergasted that they were charging $25 for a glass of wine and now their ribeye steak is $76. No meal is worth that, even though the steak was great, the creamed Spanish was runny and not hot - just kind of warm. They are just gouging their customers. Sorry folks, you will not see me again.

The site doesn't have resources to properly execute a reservation transfer. Some places allow it however the best bet is to open a chat on the listing from the seller and communicate there

Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
