Food was good.
Service was decent, but understandably due to the busyness. Place was small, but still good for dates. Good for small dates, but a bit noisy might not be able to hear each other clearly.

The food is always amazing and fresh! Certain locations can get quite busy, but it's usually worth the wait! The staff is energetic and friendly.
Be the first to ReplyI came here for valentine's day with my boyfriend.
The Ambiance of the whole place was so welcoming and comfortable. The staff are very cool and nice and they definitely cater to you while being there. The wait time for the food isn't crazy long maybe like 35 - 40 minutes after ordering. The appetizer they brought out was the grilled brussel sprouts and i was absolutely in love with it. It was coated in this brown sauce that really elevated the taste in my opinion. The sweet potato fries were so good they kept making me want another one after eating one. The texture isn't weird and they're not too sweet and not too salty. I also had a burger i was very surprised with the burger i usually hate pickles on my burger but honestly i didn't hate it, it was a pretty good burger. My boyfriend had the kale salad he seemed to enjoy it and it looked pretty appetizing. Once we finished we weren't really waiting that long we received the check and left. The staff was so sweet as we were leaving as well. The tables were a little small which was kind of an awkward fitting for like tall or heavyset people, but it was cute and i think it was the idea the owner was going for.
Be the first to ReplyOkay food, bad customer service.
Starting off, I was impressed by the decor and the options on the menu. When I received my food, I was surprised to see edamame on the plate which I am very very allergic to. I told the server about the situation, and about five minutes later someone came back with the same exact plate.... so I had to inform them again of my allergy. Then the correct plate was brought, but the server was a little condescending about the situation. When it was time for the bill, another entree was added that we never ordered, and they ended up charging my card $20 more than what was on our bill. Our server came back to change it and asked if I wanted to change the tip. When I said yes he responded with "Are you sure? I will have to go get my manager" and I said yes, and he proceeded to ask again. It was a weird experience, but the food was good.
Be the first to ReplyChicken sandwich here is really good.
Both of them fried and grilled, but lately I've been getting the fries. It's a good sized sandwich and has a lot of flavor with the mayo, coleslaw and pickles. They pile on 2 lathe chicken breasts on a sesame seed bun. There's usually a long wait so I recommend coming by during the week. The ambiance is good. Place is cute and small but staff is usually pretty friendly. Everything else I've had here is good as well.
Be the first to ReplyGreat foods and the service was great.
Their wait time on Sunday night wasn't bad at all. Highly recommend the Aussie Mule and the Bronte! I would love to try their breakfast/brunch menu as well

This was my second time to Ruby's, and both time it's been a solid experience. Every time I've been to Ruby's, it's always a wait and always packed. That's a good thing, it means a lot of people love this restaurant. And I understand why. It has a solid menu of healthy options along with satisfying entrees. Combine grain bowls with great coffees and juices, and you have a hit in Nolita. We sat inside, but they have a really solid outdoor dining operation that's still intact. We ordered truffle fries, shrimp spaghetti, and the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich. Everything was satisfying and the shrimp spaghetti was especially good.Come here for solid lunch or dinner options. You won't be disappointed!
Be the first to ReplyTasty!! Easy to walk in on a Wednesday evening at 7pm for 2.
Cozy indoor and outdoor heated seating. Tried to come here on Fri/Sat but was 1+ hour wait as no reservations. Tasty food options! Bowls, burgers, pastas, etc.! Loved the spicy Italian sausage rigatoni - super creamy. Truffle fries great too. Bondi chicken sandwich okay. Need to go back for brunch! Awesome staff and great location if you wanna walk around Little Italy / Chinatown while you wait or after you eat!

I haven't been to any restaurant in NYC more than once, but I've been to Ruby's six times and I think that says a lot.For brunch I've had the ricotta hotcakes, big breakfast, avo toast. For dinner, we usually order the shrimp avocado salad, shrimp pasta, or Brontë burger. My friends and I like to order around 3 items and share. I honestly have nothing bad to say about Ruby's. You could order anything on their menu and it'd probably be good. But my number one recommendation for brunch is the big breakfast, and for dinner... the Brontë burger. It has a hint of sweetness to it that makes it so, so good.I've never had any problems with service, staff has always been friendly when I've visited. Sometimes the napkins have little prompts printed on them where you can write your number and slide it to another table which is super cute. It's the little things :')

We went to have a brunch at one of the Ruby's Cafe at Soho location last summer. The inside was smaller than I thought. It had a lovely looking outdoor seating area, which was a nice size. It was a hot day, so we wanted something cold to go with our food. We ordered Dirt Bag Shirley, which is a "Spiked Shirley Temple aka the Drink of the Summer." It was really tasty and super refreshing! For food, I went with Spicy Sausage Breakfast Sandwich. Since it does not come with anything, I decided to add Fries with Truffle Aioli. The fries came in the huge bowl! They were perfectly fried, not greasy at all, with soft inside and crispy outside. Loved the aioli. I could have this every day...The sandwich was nice too. Eggs were super fluffy with perfect seasoning. Cheese was like melty snow, melting over on the top... Totally drool worthy. The sausage had little kick to it, but not spicy. My hubby went with the Big Breakfast. Bacon has sweetness to it, hash brown was great, packed with flavor! Tomato was super juicy, perfectly grilled. Eggs came out just the way we like them. Beans were nice too. Everything on the plate was amazing and delightful. We ended our brunch with a nice cup of Flat White. It was a strong cup of coffee, smooth and almost creamy, made to order on espresso machine. We had a really nice brunch there. The service was friendly, courteous and polite.

This is one of my most favorite spots in the city for a cute casual lunch or dinner with girl friends! I absolutely love the vibes in both of their SoHo and East Village locations. My staple orders are the creamy chicken rigatoni and the truffle fries! Just be aware that lines can get pretty long.

Came here for a Friday lunch around 11:30 and waited for 30 minutes. Enjoyed the energy and friendly vibes from the staff and this place gets packed. Considering how popular this place was, thought the food was decent and approachable.Average:- Shrimp and avo salad- Green eggs- Truffle fries
Be the first to ReplyRuby's is in my top 3 restaurants in the city.
I love their brunch and dinner, and they have great cocktails as well. I order takeout from here all the time too! Their crispy rice bowl and side of fries is my personal fav. They don't take reservations and they usually always have a wait, so I'd recommend putting your name down and walking around the area for a little. I also love their music selection, they always play the best music while I'm there.

This place is definitely well known for brunch in nyc and it didn't disappoint! I came here for brunch and got the shrimp pasta and my friend got the crispy rice bowl. The shrimp pasta was really good and had a little kick to it which paired well with the cream sauce. Definitely want to try the other dishes especially the more breakfast items!

I've dined here a multitude of times with friends and it's always delicious. Normally there is a decent bit of a line on the weekends, so be prepared for that. You can be added to a waitlist and walk around the area until your table is ready, so that is very convenient. The food is good cafe-style food and always consistent. I can't say I've ever had anything bad. Things I've had and recommend are:- Avo Toast (make sure to add an egg): this is good, but pretty standard avo toast, but she's trusty!- Egg sandwich: I'm a SUCKER for a delicious egg sandwich and this is a great choice. I love the combo of the fresh tomatoes and hash browns, slap on the egg and you're pretty dang close to breakfast perfection. - Sweet Corn Fritters: this is something I randomly tried once and fell in love. I've never had anything quite like this. It's like a corn pancake. It's both sweet and savory. When combined with fresh bites of the greens and avo, it's absolutely phenomenal. I crave this dish!- Shrimp pasta: This pasta is delicious and creamy with a soft bite of spicy with the crushed red pepper. I normally get this dish and the next one I'm about to mention and split it with a friend. - Bronte Burger: Yes, she's the star of the show. I can't say enough good things about this sandwich. It hits that perfect savory/sweet/slightly spicy combo that (IMO) is heavenly. The burger itself is moist and tender and is encased in an awesome slice of (ciabatta? I'm bad with breads... it's not a bun though!) Highly recommend this burger. Make sure to also try their coffee. I'm a huge fan of Australian coffee and theirs/Dudley's is awesome. For funsies I've also had the young coconut when I was hungover and it really did the trick! I also have enjoyed their lemonades. Phew, now that I've basically shown you the menu I'll briefly touch on the service/space. The vibe here is very chill- cute laid back cafe style. Like, wear your cute strolling' NYC streets outfit here. In the summer, they open the windows and it's a really delightful dinning experience. They do have two sections of the restaurant and street outdoor dining but I would still say this is a more intimate space. I'd limit to groups of 4 or lower. Service is great, I've never had any issues and when I'm stuck between two menu items they've always helped me decide. Overall, a fantastic restaurant in this neighborhood and if you can stag a spot you should definitely try it!4.8/5

The servers were very kind and willing to answer any questions we had about the menu. Besides that, the food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the passion fruit yogurt bowl with honey on the side- I tend to not like *too* sweet.

One of my favorite brunch places! I got the Bronte with a side of truffle fries and my friend got their pasta. Both were really flavorful! I love the truffle fries. They were the perfect amount of crisp and the truffle mayo just brings it to another level. I would say its one of the best fries I've ever had. The sandwich was also cooked medium rare which is just how I like it. The staff members were extremely nice and we only had to wait about 30 minutes to be seated. I would definitely come back again!

Came for lunch with a friend this past Friday and was able to get a table for two within about 20 minutes. You can leave your name with the host and they'll text you when your table is ready. Just a note that you have five minutes to return or they'll offer up your table. I didn't realize that so we lost our first table, but the hostess gave us the next available one which was kind of her. My friend and I each ordered a salad and we got the truffle fries to split. I got the shrimp avocado and she got the kale. Both were really yummy and fresh but neither was huge, so probably not the thing to order if you're coming hungry (as we were -_-). The fries were also excellent--crispy and crunchy and salty. I wish the truffle was a part of the fry and not the aioli since I'm lactose intolerant, but can't win 'em all I guess. Also, if this matters to you, the space is pretty aesthetic.
Be the first to ReplyReally wanted to love this place as the reviews are amazing.
The food was actually pretty great. The service was a bit..weird? We kind of were rushed through our lunch. The waitress kept asking if we wanted the check about 15-20 min after our meal. We had only been sitting for about 45 min at that time which was kind of annoying. Wanted to give 5 but 4 star because of wait staff.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious food.
Extremely long wait time. We waited for 1 and half hours. Definitely would recommend if you are in the area and don't mind the wait.

Idk how many times I've been here, but oh I just love their shrimp pasta so much. The lamb ragu was also amazing - meat sauce and cheese go so well together mixed with Al dente flat pasta noodles. Their menu is comprehensive but doesn't overwhelm you with a million items. Gorgeous interior and outdoor seating area as well.
Be the first to ReplyRuby's Cafe is an australian style cafe.
i love the shrimp pasta. it was a refreshing, light summer style pasta with a lemony pasta and cherry tomatoes. The burger is unique and it's it being on ciabatta bread instead of a burger bun. The wait times can be long especially weekend brunch. overall, i enjoyed my experience here and i will be trying to recreate the shrimp pasta this summer, but I don't think i'll actually come back

Have been here a few times and it's always a great spot for lunch/brunch. Delicious dishes, friendly service and great prices. The outdoor area is a great place to sit. We had shrimp pastas, salad with pumpkin and roasted brussel sprouts. All were delicious.
