For us, a return to brilliance...
Our favourite Liverpool restaurant. Have been many times, indeed the first restaurant we visited as we came out of the first lockdown post pandemic, was Roski. We visited today and saw several subtle changes to the menu, but the same exceptional food on the tasting menu, beautiful wines recommended by Ash and a better than ever cheese board. We started with a sour cherry negroni, the excellent fresh bread with a trio of beautiful butters - the 'always' Marmite butter, an amazing Duck dripping butter and Southport Whey. Highlights included the English Asparagus, Pea/Ham Hock and the wonderful stuffed Chicken Breast. The Banofee Pie and Banana Shot were sublime, and we were really impressed with the enhanced cheese board - 9 excellent cheeses with quince, chutney, apple slices and crackers. A true return to form for us, and still the best restaurant in Liverpool...

Dinner Rรถski Restaurant last-minute reservation. Chef-owned by the winner of MasterChef: The Professionals back in 2012, one Anton Piotrowski. It opened in 2017 and with an eight-course tasting menu like no other we have ever come across. We say that, as the offering is amazing value for the amount of dishes that are served. You also have the option to add an extra main course of Sirloin and a British cheese course. Now, if you were to choose these, all we can say is you must have hollow legs. The evening begins with two types of bread served with butters accompanied by a tasty broth and a mornay in a ceramic egg shell. Onto the next course, which takes some beating and possibly an early favourite. Hidden under a blanket of wasabi marinated lettuce a succulent wagyu tartare. On the other plate, a lobster doughnut, yes, that's right. A doughnut filled with lobster and a tail on the side. The procession of exquisite dishes just keeps arriving at the table. A fresh sea trout with blood orange. Miso Glazed Stone Bass under a nest of Mung Bean Noodles. First of the meat dishes was a lamb rump. Followed by a five spiced duck breast,Slow Braised Leg,Foie Gras Crumpets. Desserts was a selection of Yorkshire Forced Rhubarb, Malt Loaf French Toast amongst other sweet delights. We finished off the meal with Coffee & Petits Fours at an incredible price of ยฃ5 pp. A great evening was had, and the staff were friendly and welcoming whilst disco classics playing in the background. This is one restaurant you won't leave hungry.
Be the first to ReplyUnfortunately, overpriced for what you get
Iโve eaten in a lot of nice, fine dining establishments. Although Rรถski presents itself as this, Iโm afraid the quality of the food just isnโt work the price tag. I was extremely, extremely disappointed to pay more than ยฃ250 a head for the full menu and drinks pairing (with water and a cocktail to start). Iโve paid half as much and had meals that were twice as good. As a result, Iโve given a one star review. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Really below-par food. Was really looking to eating here... it was the worst meal I've had in years... the service was bad too. Don't bother.
Be the first to ReplyA culinary gem.
Although this restaurant is well established as one of Liverpools great restaurants with the allocades to back it up, we had not visted before. It didn't take long for us to rue the fact we are late to the scene. This place is truely a culinary gem, back up with oustanding service a wonderful wine list of quality and variety. It can take a while to get a table if you want peak times, take a tip, just get a table whenever you can, it's that good.

We had such a gorgeous meal here yesterday afternoon. The atmosphere isnโt stuffy, itโs super relaxed and the service is absolutely top notch. The cute quaint looking restaurant adds to the overall experience. We had the taster menu and it was just delicious and plenty of food. I have been spoilt since travelling France and experiencing their fantastic food and always felt the Uk falls short with quality and attention to detail, most places just canโt hit it or get it right. I was super surprised to see the lunch menu at a fantastic price, next time we will be trying this. I also noticed the respect and relationship the manager/waiters had with the chef, this was lovely an made the experience more intimate and like staff cared, wanted to be there and were passionate about their job. Thank you for adding to our lovely afternoon/night as we then enjoyed a show that evening. Melissa & Darren
Be the first to ReplyDefinitely worth booking!
As a regular diner in Liverpool, Roski has to be my favourite. The food is amazing made with love and passion and I implore you all to make a booking! I guarantee at least one dish will remain in your mind as unique and delicious. For me itโs the red cabbage bolognaise. Donโt judge until you have tasted !! I could go on and on but I would prefer you to go and experience a beautiful meal with an intimate ambience and a welcome which makes you feel very special. Our chefs need our support as Liverpool continues to lead the way in fine dining . By the way they have a great lunch menu too!
Be the first to ReplyFabulous experience
Vist with my husband recently and we were blown away by the tasting menu. Each course was fantastic, and staff were attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back.
Be the first to ReplyNot quite at the heights of previous visits...
Not as good as previous visits unfortunately... We visited on a Saturday afternoon and went for the lunch menu which is still exceptional value at ยฃ36 per person. The first two courses and the service were as pleasant and professional as any time before but there were elements of our interactions that just didn't feel like a restaurant mentioned in the Michelin guide - I won't point fingers, but it wasn't as slick or welcoming as previous experiences. I've probably reviewed Roski 3 or 4 times over the years and it's always been 5 stars, but not this time sadly. There was no explanation of the cheeses in the cheese course, not in their origin, their make up or their strength, and most of which were overpowered by the paired wine. The portion size for two people was absolutely miniscule. I should point out that I'm more than aware there Roski experience is not one of volume, so we're not expecting large swathes of cheese, but there is a balance to be struck...
Be the first to Reply5 stars aren't enough!
Fabulous afternoon great company and amazing food. Greeted by Diana and Daria on arrival made to feel valued and welcome. Soon met Ash the knowledgeable and enthusiastic manager. Who explained every course and the wine to accompany each dish ... nothing was too much trouble and I would definitely recommend Roski and will hopefully be back one day. Compliments to Anton and his team.
Be the first to ReplyGreat fine dining and excellent service
A very pleasant dining experience from start to finish. Warm friendly greeting when you first arrive which continued throughout the evening. The food and wine pairing were fantastic with the chosen wines enhancing the accompanying dishes. The food here is easily as good as many of the Michelin star restaurants we have eaten at. The sommelier was very helpful and extremely knowledgeable explaining where and why the chosen wine was right for each dish. If I lived in Liverpool this would definitely be on my list of places to eat out.
Be the first to ReplyA little too heavy handed
Last visit was very protein heavy. This seems to be the fashion. (Ynyshir Hall) There was no green vegetables in sight. This isn't too much of a problem if there is a lightness to the dishes but some were far from balanced. A trout crudo overpowered by a ponzu dressing. A chewy piece of veal. A claggy candy floss. The starters, gnocchi and haggis saved the night but the originality (I'm looking at you cabbage bolognese) was missing.
Be the first to ReplyA Gem....the service was exceptional and the food was delicious too!!
An excellent menu with just one or two picky flaws: too many foams (although they were all delicious) and a confusingly overcomplicated dessert with far too many elements (that didn't fuse together to form a whole although individually they were lovely). It was excellent value for money. The service was exceptional: warm, friendly, with just a hint of formality when necessary.....perfectly pitched by all the staff. The sommelier, Conner, was spot on in his recommendation and was happy to share his knowledge; Pepe was fantastic, bubbly and informative with a superb sense of humour; Ash and the others were great. Well done Roski for giving this foodie a great time.
Be the first to ReplyWorth a visit for โfoodiesโ
This place is excellent, I have had the honour of dining in various Michellin Star restaurants and this place deserves one. Easilly of that quallity! Obviously it is expensive but you are talking about an award winning chef serving some of the best quality dishes in Liverpool. What really set it apart for me is the atmosphere. Many fine dining restaurants like this can feel pompous, uptight and pretentious. Not here though, there was a lovely warm atmosphere and staff were really friendly and approachable. Some have commented that they didnโt like the music playing in the background, personally I thought it was fine and complimented the vibrant atmosphere. A real gem of a restaurant for Liverpool to be proud of!
Be the first to ReplyExcellent from start to finish
We recieved a voucher for our wedding off my aunty and cousin so, we thought we could come for our valentines day meal. After reading some of the reviews I wasn't too sure what to expect really but, from start to finish it was excellent service. I recently found out I was pregant so, I wasn't too sure what I could eat off the menu. My partner called them and they literally changed the menu for me and let me know exactly what I was having. I felt like such a pain but the lovely waitress explained how important family was to the chefs and, they understood how I felt with it being our first. My partners favourite was the haggis toastie and mine was probably the cheddar toastie they swapped for me! Outstanding experience that we won't forget thank you.
Be the first to ReplyA Michelin star in waiting
Two questions: 1) Why has it taken me so long to discover my new favourite restaurant in Liverpool? and 2) Hey Mr Michelin - where's their star?
Be the first to ReplyExceptional food and great service
Faultless menu with every course well considered and absolutely delicious. Service professional but welcoming and friendly. A wonderful experience.

This place it worth every penny the food and service was out of this world they couldn't do enough for u. 1 of my favourite places to eat in Liverpool and iv eaten in alot of places lol
Be the first to ReplyGood food and front of house. Long wait for food
The front of house team are very attentive and knowledgable, providing a high level of service. The Xmas menu was good, with the stand outs being the pig in a blanket and the venison with gnocchi. A few negatives being the wait between courses. Our sitting ended up at 3 and a half hours. Also the music theme was slightly odd and was a little loud (should be background music). Cost wise it is a little high side for restaurant without a star.
Be the first to ReplyDisappointed
The staff were lovely but the majority of the food was inedible. We were really looking forward to it after reading such good reviews. The first course was just bread and butter with a couple of pieces of ham. The second course bite size battered sausage- nice but nothing special. The courses in between were not appetising and we didnโt finish any of them even though the portions were tiny. One of the courses was a just an apple with what tasted like guacamole squeezed into the middle of the apple with Mayo and a chewy bit of fish! To finish the deserts we had were tasty. Considering we paid over ยฃ200 I was really disappointed and we went elsewhere for food afterwards as it felt like we hadnโt even eaten! Such a shame and put a bit of a damper on my birthday. If youโre wanting to feel like youโre on a bush tucker trial then this is the place to go!
