Everything is fantastic at Ronan.
I had Luke as my server and he went above and beyond to give us a great experience. Definitely recommend this place!

Absolutely love this pizza spot! Located just off of Melrose, Ronan is a was a great find on Resy when looking for dinner options. (shout out last minute planning lol) I was definitely not disappointed! They have a few different seating options- communal, indoor, and patio. Our party grabbed a reservation for the communal table and enjoyed our dining experience. To start we had the Cesar salad (with anchovies)- the salad was fresh, crunchy, and the dressing was so delicious. I was definitely intimidated by the anchovy filets at first but they fit perfectly and gave the Cesar some extra ~spice~. Absolutely loved the croutons too. The pizza dough is AMAZING. You can really taste the sourdough flavor, and it's perfectly crunchy and chewy. Our fave was the White Dynamite - which was still light despite being a white pizza with generous ricotta. The cocktails are all unique and there is something for everyone. I got the Narrator- more herbal and a bit Smokey but well done and balanced. Anyways when you go- make sure you have room for dessert. The tiramisu was one of the best I've had in a while!

While we were trying to find the best pizza in Los Angeles, we stumbled upon this restaurant. I made reservations through Resy few days in advance for the weekend. We arrived to our reservations and we were lucky to find a street parking right across the place. Our host seated us in no time in a common table with benches. The restaurant had a nice settings inside and cute seating area on the side. Our waiter gave us recommendations and we ordered the following. The Burrata Genovese was among our favorite, it came with a generous amount pine nuts and basil leaves. We also ordered the Focaccia which was delicious and crispy. The pizza though was slightly disappointing, it came a little uncooked in the middle. Overall I did like this place and I will come here again and try their other pizzas as well
Be the first to ReplyFirst time here and this pizza is unlike any I have had.
They definitely have a signature cheese and sauce flavor. Cesar Salad: 10/10Great dressing, oversized crunchy croutons and red cabbage all added to a great salad. Pepper sprinkled added a pleasant touchMargarita pizza: 10/10Ok here is where it's interesting. The cheese and sauce in this is nothing like I have had in SoCal. Excellent combination of sweet and savory. So delicious. Ordered it without anchovies and it was just the right about of salt.

Great pizza! I wish they'd bring back the asparagus salad! It was my favorite appetizer on the menu.

Be the first to ReplyWe were here in October visiting our daughter in LA.
She loves this place. We were not disappointed. Everything from start to finish was amazing. Service was excellent as was the food. We were a party of 5. We ordered a bunch of items to share. Salads, Pizza, Pork Meatballs, Sea Bass , Spicy Clams and desert. One thing was better then the next. Oh and the Martini's are excellent. We will surely return next time we visit.

One of my favorite restaurants in LA, for both food and ambiance, and somewhat of a hidden gem. It's a great date spot, or perfect for a somewhat casual night out with friends. It's great for sharing food. The pizza is amazing, and I recommend the burrata. And perfecto cocktails
Be the first to ReplyThe food here is really nothing special.
We ordered the meatballs as the appetizer. They were well seasoned, but the sauce they came with had absolutely no taste or flavor whatsoever. For the main I had the Margherita pizza, which was over cooked and lacked flavor. For dessert I tried the tiramisu and absolutely do not recommend, not worth the calories given the lack of flavor. The waiters are all nice but the food is not good. I do not recommend.

WOW WOWOW WOW! This was one of those "I just happened upon it" spots while visiting LA. I usually avoid pizza when traveling because I eat so much of it at home (don't judge me!). But I am so glad I found myself at Ronan. This place was jam packed on a Saturday night, but I found myself a perfect spot at one of their community tables.Pizza-- what the actual HECK!? This could very well be the best pizza I've ever had. The dough is absolutely perfect and chewy and delicious, and I LOVE how it has some char-grilled spots on it. Flavortown, baby. You cut the pizza yourself, which is a new concept to me. I didn't get a chance to ask why... I guess I will leave it a mystery!Drinks-- crushed ice. Need I say more? Ronan offers a full bar. And the drinks did not disappoint.Oh, I absolutely loved how they present the bill. They give you a little card that honors their staff that created your meal. I just find that really appreciative and it shows the integrity of the restaurant. So, if you're catching a show at The Groundlings Theatre across the street, definitely grab a bite to eat here first. You won't regret it.
Be the first to ReplySo so experience.
Got seated in an overflow table that was basically in the parking lot. Food was good but pacing uneven and our wait staff seemed to keep forgetting about us. They have some covered patio style seating that looks okay. But the tables in the parking lot overflow are not a great experience and seem to be too much for their staff to handle. Would like to try the actual restaurant someday.

Really great food and cocktails! Love the lettuce salad, focaccia, carrots and pizza. Service has been good every time but I really love sitting at the bar, the bartender is so nice! Feels like a cozy neighborhood spot with good music and ambiance.

Made a reservation for my friend and I here and had no issue getting a table for 2. The parking situation is not ideal, but you can find street parking if you hunt!We got 2 pizzas, the Grape Escape and Margarita with burrata. I would say I liked the Grape Escape better than the Margarita, but honestly both were good. The service was fine, nothing to write home about. Our waitress kind of trailed off after our main course order and we had to flag her down for the check and a box.I think the reason that I'm giving this place 4 stars is the price point to pizza ratio. I just think the pizza at $22 a pie is just too much for what you get, and I didn't think the pizzas were anything out of the ordinary sadly.

Finally made it to LA and my friend was set on going to this place for dinner. We sat inside at the communal table. The restaurant was about half full which allowed for a bit of distance although not 6 ft. This was somewhat uncomfortable for me but alleviated a bit by them checking vaxx cards and ID at the door. The ambiance is warm and inviting. My friends and I remarked about it being the PERFECT date night spot. Here I'll interject the "bad". Do not come hungry. I'm not sure if they were short staffed this night or if it was particularly crowded outside (I didn't notice on the way in) but it took us a while to get drinks or apps. Now that that's out of the way- the customer service here is amazing. Our waitress was great but there was a general vibe of "we want you to be taken care of" by all of the wait and bar staff. We got a few apps and I fell IN LOVE with the Pork Meatballs and Sprouting Broccolini. The broccolini in particular was incredible. It was served with a lemony hummus type of situation that paired perfectly with the char and earthiness of the veggie. As for pizza, since there were five of us we each got a different pie and they were all pretty awesome. I tried 4 of the 5 and have put them in a definitive rank. The How Nduya Want It was amazing if you're a meat eater. Great balance of spice and tomato. The Brooklyn had a wealth of different flavor profiles coming at me and it somehow all just worked. The Sweet Cheeks Pizza was an exciting blend of sweet and savory and herby that was a dance party on the tongue. The Spicy Chomper Pizza is the one that I didn't have but that the rest of my table seemed to seriously enjoy. Finally, the Sailor Man. Didn't love this one. It was definitely the healthy pizza on the menu. From the list of ingredients it should've been amazing but something was just kind of off about this one especially in comparison to the others. If you've made it this far, kudos to you. This review is long AF. To close us out, they brought us a couple scoops of ice cream- a coffee Oreo and a Banana both of which were made in house and so so good. Note that the banana is more of a banana rum(?) flavor. All in all great experience and if in LA again I would definitely go back. The cocktails were also interesting and yummy!
Be the first to ReplyGreat pizzas.
Loved the guanciale pizza and the nduja pizza (both white pizzas). The burrata appetizer was also amazing and filling, especially with the focaccia. Highly recommend the guanciale pizza for white sauce pizza and the burrata if you're a fan - it's worth getting
Be the first to ReplyI just love Ronan.
Super chill, great food, friendly service and at a fair price point. The Burrata with pesto was sooo good and those glazed carrots! OMG. A great place Ronan is!

I was so looking forward to eating at Ronan! And the staff was so friendly I hate to write a bad review but the food was very disappointing. They were out of the pizza I wanted, which I get bc squash blossoms are seasonal so we ordered the sweet cheeks. There was wayyyyy too much honey and the pizza had that burned but somehow still mushy and wet thing happening. We didn't even finish it. The appetizers we ordered were ok. Roasted carrots, meatballs and Caesar salad. Overall the food was a let down. But our waitress was nice and the place is cute. I don't think I'll be going back, though.
Be the first to ReplyWe've been here a few times a year since they opened.
Every time we leave saying "best pizza in LA", and we regularly eat pizza from Pizzana, Gjelina, etc. But really it's the combination of food and drink here that stands out... it just works. Tonight we had the octopus for the first time and it was awesome. Just a really solid, consistent place that we are happy is thriving.
Be the first to ReplyHands down the best pizza spot in LA.
Never disappointed. Always fresh and perfectly cooked. Staff is friendly.
Be the first to ReplyMight be my new favorite restaurant in LA.
I went for dinner and was caught off guard by how good the food was. We started with the Senor Carrots which come on a base of hummus and honeycomb (!). Then for pizzas we had the Sweet Cheeks and Spicy Chomper, both wonderful in their own right with the former having that trademark layer of sweetness that livens up the whole meal. The cocktails are delicious and complex (try the Diving Bell Part II) and the desserts are great - we had the tiramisu but they used to have this unreal corn ice cream.I will certainly be returning the next time i'm in LA and evangelizing it to everyone I know. It is a tad expensive but completely worth it. Obligatory comment on the quality service of our waitress (she was awesome), the cute interior decor, and the funny music choices (our night was loads of rap and R&B?). All in all a great spot.

Have been dying to try Ronan and finally did last night! This place is definitely worth the hype. We dined as a group of 6 & ordered everything to share (which I definitely recommend, we had the perfect amount of food). To start, we got the Focaccia with Burrata, Caesar, Meatballs, and Carrots. The Caesar and the Carrots were the standout apps, but everything was absolutely incredible. For mains, we shared 4x pizzas - the Zucca, Spicy Chomper, Margherita, and Sweet Cheeks. Every single pie was outstanding but the unanimous favorite was the Sweet Cheeks. SO much flavor. Cant wait to return here to these items again & to try more of the menu!!

My brother was in town for a visit from Phoenix, and I decided to take him for a dinner at Ronan. Making a reservation online was easy and allowed for me to select the table type. The food was to-die-for!! We had the sprouting broccoli, pork meatballs, the spicy chomper pizza, and the wood-fired cheesecake. Everything was incredibly delicious and was worth every dime! The restaurant is beautiful (slightly dark but I didn't mind). Ronan pays attention to detail with eclectic plates and silverware. Our server was intensive and helpful. Finally, when I received my check, there was a note thanking every employee and all the farms that provide ingredients to the restaurant. It made us as guests recognize and appreciate the food we enjoyed even more.

Pizza was burnt (including the bottom,) inside of the pizza felt uncooked, and was soggy. Not crispy at all. We ordered both the margherita and the mushroom (Brooklyn) pizza. Cheese was chewy (and stringy). Sauce was okay.Only reason I gave it a 3 stars is because the waiter was SUPER nice and amazing.
Be the first to ReplyLOVED the 2 pizzas we got - they were heavenly.
Also loved that the margarita pizza was 1/2 off that day (Monday). The broccolini was absolutely delicious as well. Service was efficient and great on all levels. Happy to have found this great restaurant. Looking forward to going back and trying new things, as well as a cocktail or two :)
