Couldn’t stay away
Came last year as a bucket list trip with my 20 year old daughter but I just had to come back - another five star perfect stay. Thank you to Sarah for all of the pre arrival help especially in setting up an Anniversary surprise for my husband and to Arthur for taking care of us in Paris and beyond. Breakfast team perfect such a beautiful room and great to see Nicolas again. Get the hotdogs and cheeseburgers at Bar Hemingway! Nothing compares to the Ritz in Paris. Make sure to check in with concierge team before visiting museums ect for tour guides or skip the line tickets. Beautiful apartments , must visit the pool too! Thank you Ritz we can’t ever stay anywhere else. À bientôt !
Be the first to ReplyInconsistent and complacent.
A lot of things are absolutely immaculate. Others things are less so, and the service is sometimes disorganised and complacent. For what they charge, it is not the right standard. Incorrect bookings made, TV not working, air conditioner broken, things requested for the room taking too long etc. Minor irritations perhaps but not what you book the place for.
Be the first to ReplyEnglish High tea
I booked an English afternoon tea , we arrived about 15 min early. We were bought to a desk and they told us to wait, and to go to an other desk when it was time .We were welcomed very nice. The room looked lovely. We received a glass of water ( not cold!) We received the menu and ordered a 68, menu. First came the tea ,I asked for some cold milk to go with it. 3 waiters later I got it. We thought there was to much staff walking around , not noing what the other is doing After receiving our tea , 15 min later we received the etagère with food.Looked and tasted great.. Glad I have visited the ritz, but would not recommend the high tea menu.
Be the first to ReplyNot Worth the Experience
We stayed in Ritz for two nights, it's our first time to write a real complaint but we do feel that the disappointment to some part of this hotel is strong enough. We had nice experience with Valet and most staff at Ritz. However, there are certain issues we feel problematic. We admire Ritz as a palace level hotel where people dreams at all time to stay in Ritz. However, we had experience several serious shortfalls in service. What’s unacceptable is cleanliness, this shouldn’t be happening at all. We had a late dinner and come back very late yesterday night. Before sleeping, we saw there are blood-like dirt on the pillow case, where we sleep on. If it wasn’t nearly 3am, we would been left immediately, and still regret not doing so. At the most basic level, not even talking about hotel beyond five stars with amazing reputation, a regular luxury hotel in Paris all provides free bottled water. We addressed the issue with the guest relation, the guest relations responded as this was our issue, and later provide water but not taking feedback. It took us much time to even get ”alms” some water, to make the hotel having the same amenity as an airport hotel. We feel more offended with how the issue was handled. Beyond that, our bed type was a combination of two twin beds, this issue was only talked about when I spotted myself. I hope to be aware of what’s provided. Other shortfalls: My partner really love the Ritz, and was taking videos when arrival. No one stops her. When going with guest relations, the first word is “no video, I need you to delete it”. She was shocked with this attitude. No one mentioned about filming policy since we entered the hotel, why should she be yelled at? In the tour, we were just very briefly walked, when we ask more, like garden, back door, gallery, bar and brunch location, we were just pointed at the direction. A tour should be to get us a bit familiar on the hotel, however, the only thing we learned is where the restaurants are. And even that, we didn’t know it in full. Our celebration stay wasn’t mentioned at all, despite we wrote for many times noting it prior to stay. We appreciate the breakfast offerings, but there is no flexibility for the set. We wish to try the lobster omelet on second day as we did standard set on first day, we cannot exchange the set for credit, or upgrade the egg to lobster omelet. It’s also the first time we experience such restriction, we don't care about this but it's good for future traveller to know. We reported the room cleanliness issue with the front desk and write in email with guest relations at the end, as we were disgusted by the blood on pillow, but the only response we got from GM office is to apologize on breakfast, without talking about if they can clean room better. They maybe too popular to even acknowledge their issue and take actions. We don't know what to say now, just be careful if you want to stay. At this price point, consider if it's worth it. There are many Palace level hotels in Paris, other choices maybe better.
Be the first to ReplyA dream come true. The perfect breakfast at the Ritz Paris
We only went for Breakfast but it was a magical experience. As you'd expect from one of the most iconic hotels in the world the staff and services were outstanding. The food was delicious and they made our visit very special. We managed to have a little look around after our breakfast and go to the courtyard garden and gift shop. It's been a dream of mine to go to the Ritz Paris since a child and although we could never afford to stay, I'm delighted to have ticked it off my bucket list. The hotel is just wow wow wow, so stunning. The doorman offered to take our photo when we left. I've read some of the negative reviews on here, but we never experience anything like that. I felt like a princess for 2 hours and it was wonderful. Thank you Ritz Paris.
Be the first to ReplyRude, stuffy doormen
I visited Paris on 26 February 2023 and was excited to see Ritz Paris for the first time. I complemented the doormen on how grand the hotel looked. I was like it is so much bigger and grander than the Ritz in London (where I live). They thanked me for my compliments. But then when I asked very nicely whether it would be possible to have a little peak inside they coldly answered me that it is not possible, adding that it is only for guests. I was rather shocked at their response as this was my first ever experience of not being allowed inside a hotel. I did not think that this was even possible to happen. I have never anticipated not being allowed in, I had only asked for permission out of curtesy as I had been already talking to these doormen. I was so surprised at their response that I was not even sure at first whether I understood them right so I said to them that in London you are allowed inside the hotel and again they answered me very coldly “not in Paris”. I left feeling rather embarrassed 😳.

Stayed for a single night's stay with a girlfriend. Absolutely exquisite in every way. Fine dining room service and the most relaxing swim to boot! Nowhere else comes close. Go! You will not be disappointed!
Be the first to ReplyRude staff
I've stayed at the Ritz Paris many times over the years. I've been to events for Inès de la Fressange, covered the Ritz's renovation in 2016, even celebrating numerous birthdays at L'Espadon. This used to be the most friendly, service-oriented place in the world. But this trip was markedly different. Much of the hallway staff seemed unwilling to make eye contact, the man at the door was openly rude (for example, I've never had someone half open the door and ask me what I wanted), and the manager Alessandra, although helpful enough. was defensive and snippy. I believe the rise of Instagram "influencers" (of which I am not), has contributed to this new, surly attitude. The sad truth however is that more than ever, every single thing you do counts. Every single person you interact with has a voice Businesses can adapt to the new reality, and rise to the occasion with even greater levels of courtesy and service, or lose market share against other properties such as the Bristol, Madame Rêve, etc., who "get it." Possibly the solution here is to hire a dedicated person in the lobby (call it a "Visitor Ambassador" role) to assist with people who are simply coming to take photos. These photos represent free advertising, often to millions of people. Alienating these people represents loss of market share and business reputation. The greeting of guests should not be handled by security who are not trained in customer experience. Indeed, this person did not even bother to ask if I was a guest at the hotel. I understand this property is now investing in another round of renovations. But increasingly, it is not a renovation of property you need most. It is a renovation of courtesy, where there is a commitment to the idea that every single person is worthy of a heartfelt smile.

Truly the best of the best from the minute you arrive. Being greeted by Nabyl, the greatest doorman in all of Europe. Then welcomed by Pierre who is the finest of hoteliers and a true ambassador for the Ritz. Sébastien Legrand, in addition to representing the hotel in a warm, poised and refined manner, he is a kind reflection on Paris as a whole. Every person we met during our visit was fantastic. A perfect stay.
Be the first to ReplySimply Outstanding
I can’t say enough about the Ritz. Our stay was absolutely amazing. What a beautiful hotel, no detail is overlooked. The service was also top notch. From the moment we checked to the moment we checked out, everything and everyone was fantastic. Our family thouroughly enjoyed the tea service in the Salon Proust, drinks & desert in Bar Vendome and the breakfast in the beautiful restaurant. I would like to give a special thanks to Nad (Porter) and to Nicolai in the restaurant, even though he’s a Packers fan...hahaha. It was truly a special stay and we can’t wait to return.
