Ristorante Bruno Positano Reviews from The Last Year
u deserve better
Skip this one. Waited 40 min for food, and it was cold when it came out. Food also mediocre for the price (paid 80 EUR for two main dishes). Bread was served after our main dishes arrived (no olive oil either) Had to ask for parm salt pepper after main dishes were out. What was worst was service- our waiter never checked in. We had to walk in to ask for check and again to pay it once we received. For this luxury pricing, they have to do better. go down the street to da vincenzo instead - same price but w stellar service and incredible food.
This was very bad food and not worth the price.
It took a long time to cook, it tasted like lean cuisine, and we all left hungry!

So. The untouchable? The view of you make reservations sea side. No question about it. If this is what you're after.... It's as good as it gets. The food? Meh ... mediocre. Service was friendly but took over an hour to get the appetizer alone. Mussels weee a touch salty make jg great become good. Fried fish plate was good. Fruity de Mari very good but hardly any pasta with it. Odd. We also had a shrimp spaghetti with white wine sauce and the shrimp were mushy Cannoli exceptional for desert. Food is 3 stars. But it's gets a free star because of the view.
An Evening to Remember
We booked the day before so we could reserve a table on the sidewalk overlooking the cliff front. The view was amazing. We found the wait staff to be very friendly. Our food was excellent. Between us, we shared the pancetta, melon, and mozzarella with bread. For mains, my wife had grilled fish with lemon sauce and a mixed salad, and I had gnocchi. To finish, we shared a lemon tiramisu. We only drank water, which they were totally fine with. It was a wonderful evening in a magical setting. Thank you Ristorante Bruno.
Average lunch
Ristorante Bruno is located on a strip of road that has the iconic view of Positano which is the main reason for its popularity. We were seated on the terrace and had a nice view of the coastline. The food was okay, the service was quick and easy. This is not a must go to but a nice place for lunch to see the view.
AVOID!
After pre booking and putting our bank details in, we were served in this restaurant that absolutely did not require a pre booking as was pretty dead, anyway I politely explained to the waitress that we do not wish to order as all but maybe 4 or 5 dishes were fish (we don’t eat fish) , the dishes that weren’t fish, were not for my liking either and she told me that it would be a problem if we didn’t order and we would be charged regardless (€60 charge) I’m fuming , the food was so average and we were basically forced to eat here as they had our bank details, do not recommend, I’ve taken photos of my main steak and garlic, so fatty , would never return and the service was terrible, no one even asked how our food was as they clearly knew I wasn’t happy, 2 mains cost us -€60 no sides, no alcohol, terrible !!! What’s even more disappointing is that it was our first meal in Italy , what a disappointment
I won't go back to Bruno
very nice view, but very slow service and disappointing dishes. I wouldn't go back it's unlikely to wait so long for a first course and then for a second course
Would not reccommend.
Started with mixed seafood platter which was quite nice. Then came the mains. On of us had the lemon fish which had no lemon at all and was exactly the same as fish of the day. When we told waiter, he shrugged it off as if that was normal. I asked for pasta with grand Pandano cheese and if they could add anchovies. The waiter told me better to get the Pasta with anchovies and add cheese. It was BLAND, not salty sweet anchovy taste and an incredibly stingy serving for around 30 Euro. Also no cheese! Incredibly disappointing experience overall
Avoid this place
Terrible service. Employees were very rude and unprofessional. We had ordered one thing from the menu between two of us since we are vegetarians and there weren’t many vegetarians options. We were told we HAVE to order 2 entrees at the minimum (there is no information regarding that on the website). I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone especially because I’ve read similar comments from other people. The waiter made a face and then never came to check on us or ask us if we need anything. Food is mediocre and this place is a tourist trap.
Only for tourists to scam
Value for money only for Positano, 3 euros for a cover charge, 4 euros for 1 liter of water and 28 euros for a tasteless spaghetti baked in foil with broken clams, therefore pieces of shell that I risked eating, the icing on the cake is dry and old bread. ... ok that Positano is only for foreign tourists but here we didn't really have an attitude, AWFUL leave it to the tourists and avoid it. Very high bill 174 euros for 4, 3 spaghetti in foil (28€), a fillet of sea bass (very small) and grilled vegetables, 2 waters and a bottle of wine....

Great staff -- amazing food and views -- the quintessential Positano spot. We had the Cabrese and loved it.
Amazing view
Amazing view. The tables outside are delicious, the service is very kind and very attentive. Certainly more expensive than others, but not exorbitant, considering everything. The Sorrento gnocchi are good and plentiful.

Great meal at Bruno! For appetizers, we split the caprese salad and grilled vegetables. Both were great! For my main, I had the gnocchi with seafood. This was prepared well. The gnocchi was quite light and there was bountiful seafood. My husband had the fish in lemon sauce, which I got to try. The lemon sauce was heavenly!! Only thing is that if you want a seaside view, to make reservations in advance!
A nice spot for an evening meal
We liked this spot, perched at tables looking down on Positano beach, while the waiters came and went across the busy street. The food wasn’t quite as tasty as some of the other places we visited in Positano but was decent value for money in this expensive town and in a great location.
We talk about this Bruno Right next to our hotel we found
We talk about this Bruno Right next to our hotel we found Bruno's restaurant and let's just say the pesto was definitely the best-o!!! I mean look at the dish it's glistening with pesto it was so mouthwatery and we also got the pasta with eggplant and fish fillet, both were SO TASTY honestly look at those views! It would be nice if you could sit across by the water but honestly nobody was next to is it was romantic and we could be alone it was good for us! The service is super fast!
We tried Bruno quite accidentally as we were hiking back
We tried Bruno quite accidentally as we were hiking back down from the Path of the Gods. It has beautiful views and the food was delicious! The taste of the zucchini seafood pasta was truly amazing, full of flavor! It was one of the best dishes we tried in the Positano area!
Like everywhere in Positano, the view is incredible.
The food was fine and the service was decent. Nothing standout but easy to get a table.

My fiancé and I were in Italy during the month of September. Positano beach was actually where I proposed, right after an early dinner at Bruno. Would definitely recommend getting some tables outside, as the views are amazing. It wasn't too busy at the time we went so the waiters were pretty attentive. The food in my opinion was phenomenal. I got the scialatielli ai frutti di mare (seafood pasta) and I loved it. My fiancé and friends also loved their food. Drinks were pretty average, nothing extraordinary, but the food and views are enough for the 5 stars. Tips: Make reservations, since the tables outside fill up quick If you're looking forward to nice pictures I'd recommend going before 5/5:30 (when the sun is above the mountain) or after like 6:30 (when its completely behind the mountain). When the sun is starting to set behind the mountain the sun rays get in the way when taking pictures.

Ordered: Calamaretto Fritto (~€25) Tartara di Tonno (~€25) Pasta Polpetta (~€32) Panna Cotta (~€7) Aya's take: If you want the iconic view of Positano, you sit outside. If you don't care, you'll be served inside probably faster (especially during peak dinner hours). The Calamaretto Fritto was fresh, crispy, and salty. Probably some of the best I had in Italy. However, for ~€25, the portion was small. On the other hand, the Tartara di Tonno was probably some of the worst I had. Why are there apples and carrots mixed with tuna? It didn't sit right with me. There were also strawberries on the plate which didn't make any sense. The whole dish seemed like a cluster of ingredients that didn't mesh together. The Pasta Polpetta was very hearty and filling. We ended off with the Panna Cotta which was light with good vanilla flavor. Pretty solid overall!

Friendly owner, great view of the town, fresh produce and best grilled squid I have ever had.
Great food, very accommodating.
Nice views and won't break the bank. We are going back.

Unfortunately incredibly salty/almost inedible food - we ordered gnocchi with seafood. Small seafood portions and overpriced. 3 euro service charge per person and 4 for water (drank the entire bottle because of the salt load). Spinach (vegetable of the day) was tasteless and cold grilled vegetables also tasteless and seemed desiccated. Disappointing meal.

Thank you for the question, if a seller is working on answering your bid, you cannot cancel it until their time is up and the bid is released back to you. The full amount of funds then go back into your AT account. Typically a seller has 48-72 hours to complete the bid.
