Restaurant Yuu Brooklyn Reviews from The Last Year
Beautiful, spacious space.
Seeing all the chefs in action every step was an experience. Space was good as well. Enjoyed the dinner a lot. 3 out of 18 (?) dishes fell short but appreciate the creativity behind it The foie was liquidy, feel undercooked, not sure if it's the intention?
until the last 3 savory course the dishes were spectacular.
Sadly the monkfish, veal and duck courses seemed similarly sauced and slightly overcooked. Ambience and service was exceptional

Incredible experience and exceptional food! If you get the full tasting menu you get to sit at the bar and watch the chefs prepare your meal in front of you. They walk around throughout the course to show you ingredients that they are using and will sometimes prep the food in front of you. The service is impeccable, everyone is professional and gives you such an elevated experience. The food is so fresh and prepared with such skill. You can see the details that they put into plating the food. It is such a blessing to be able to experience this and it really shows how incredible they are by how quickly they received their michelin star. Definitely recommend to anyone whos looking to splurge on a meal. You will not regret it.
I would like to think that I have quite a few experiences
I would like to think that I have quite a few experiences when it comes to Michelin star restaurants and so far, restaurant yuu has been my favorite. First coming in it is quiet and the warm. The atmosphere is filled with low conversation where you still feel like you have to mind your volume to be polite to others. The service was impeccable. I changed my reservations 3 times and the staff were able to make last minute accommodations for my party of 4. We were seated at the small bar size where we did not have a view of the open kitchen but the conversation we had with the staff was so entertaining and insightful! Harry was so kind and gave amazing service and conversation. He answered all my questions to the point where my friends started to get a bit embarrassed. The food was very delicious. I want to say my favorite was the first course and the strawberry dessert. I also was the only one in my party who had the caviar and truffle add on and I will say- that was the first time I was able to taste truffle in its entirety. A fun fact that Harry shared: the number next to the duck is how many duck they served to date with approval from the head chef of the menu! At the end of our experience everyone got a take home of the delicious dessert- it was a breaded dessert that we did not taste at dinner. I ate mine a day later and it was amazing. Thank you Harry and congratulations to Restaurant Yuu on their Michelin star! (This is the first time I was so busy enjoying company, conversation, and the food where my phone did not get a chance to eat at all!)

I was looking for a French restaurant for Christmas and finally decided to go for a Sushi. I finally found this Omakase restaurant creating food inspired from France and it was a hit! Just when you start to sit at the counter, they open the curtains similar to a theatre and you watch the chef working with the staff in front of you in the kitchen. It's just amazing. The wine selection is fantastic and varied, the food was just unbelievable and succulent, the presentation astonishing, the details unbelievable. Overall the food quality is fresh and exceptional. Each plate is making you discovering new flavors. It's an amazing surprise for this Japanese-French restaurant. I will come back as soon as I can.

If places like Crown Shy, Casa Enrique, Claro or any of those places are one star Mich, Restaurant Yuu should definitely be 2 star. Blows any of the recent one star experiences out of the sky. Service was spot on Dishes were excellent Atmosphere inviting Nice little lounge spot after dinner to chill at This place should be 2 stars.
Delightful food, subtle flavors and beautiful presentation.
When the first dish came with the ikura-looking balls on a real shiso that sat on the crunchy shiso alongside a roll with real ikura and some kind of crab apple thing in a lightly crunchy outer shell, I was just like... wow, blown away! Amazing service. Servers explained dishes really nicely and made us feel very welcome. We got the short omakase through Chase and it was perfect. While we did not sit in the theatrical area, I also don't like to eat for 4 hours straight, so the 2 hours was truly perfect Being brought over to have tea/dessert by the couches is so nice to wind down after. We booked for my sister's birthday and they brought out a candle and polaroid. Really nice. One minor minor minor gripe is that while the "signature" Duck Wellington was beautiful, compared to the other dishes, I felt that this dish was not to my palette (sauce and filling too salty and duck and fois gras not perfectly cooked for my preference).
Lovely and knowledgeable staff.
The food was served at a nice pace and we were stuffed by the end. We loved enjoying the last tea/dessert dish by the couches behind our original seats (such a great idea). So nice of the restaurant to offer us a Polaroid picture to celebrate our anniversary and an excellent slice of cake too. My sense of smell was compromised due to a cold which messed up my sense of taste (I know, I was so mad at this cold!) but! The food was wonderful. So many new combinations of flavors and textures that worked so well. Highly recommend and definitely will be back to try chef Yuu's creations. We found our fav sake ever here also! Daigo no Shizuku (ordering a few to stock up at home!)
wonderful first experience at Yuu.
the space is beautiful, I love the beautiful counter and the entertainment in the form of watching the kitchen and all of the grand presentations and tableside finishes. The service is very sharp for being so new. The food is good - high quality ingredients and techniques. The big presentations were the most impressive - the salt baked veal dish and the duck pie were standouts. For a lot of others - I visited around the time the menu had just switched over so this could've had an impact, but I felt a lot of the dishes were under seasoned. Other favorite bites of the night were the confit duck heart and gizzard with grape tart, the stuffed frog leg with sancho purΓ©e and parsley sauce, oyster and a5 miyazaki tartare, the suppon consomme with custard and binchotan mushroom, and the concord grape palate cleanser. Overall a very theatrical and fun experience, be prepared to spend 2.5+ hours for the full experience, as it's 18 or so seats and the menu progresses at the same pace for everyone - I did let them know about a time restraint and they were able to speed up the last few courses for me which was very much appreciated.
Dining at Yuu is an experience.
From the confirmation text asking about food restrictions and special occasions, to the presentation of the ingredients and complete dishes, Yuu was thoughtful from the customers' perspective. The interior was modern with a hint of French style. The temperature and lighting perfect. I think that the restaurant is a well deserved one star, with the potential to be upgraded to two stars down the road. The Turbot dish tasted great, but the scale was still there - I'm a home cook so I understand that it is almost impossible to completely remove them. Is there a way to make it perfect? It's difficult to pick my favorite dishes, because I enjoyed them all. But the crab dish cleverly incorporated radish green. The duck wellington dish was simply marvelous. The wagyu beef so sumptuous. The veal was perfectly balanced and tender. A special shout out to the pastry chef. The bread was so airy - how did you make it? The dessert was quite brilliant. Were you an engineer? Overall it was a special meal suited for a special occasion. The price was also reasonable for what it offered. We had a great experience and we will return.

That's what AT sponsorships are for - and you are only paying 25% in the first year and then less in year two and three.
I beliebe @EternalAnt36 was sponsored by @PerceptiveWash44 and is now doing $25k/mo.
You can write on the top sellers profiles (type 'Top 10' in the searchbar) and then tap request sponsorship button after you found the guy or gal like to work with!
