Faithful and sincere
For years (more than 10 years), the Dali has been an exceptional refuge for lunch, brunch or dinner. High quality products, a menu reviewed regularly with some always pleasant surprises, a great team because it is stylish but never stuffy under the piercing and kind gaze of Soade. And if by chance something goes wrong, just say it calmly so that a solution can be found with a smile and without drama. Of course, these are the prices of a palace, but if we calculate the number of hours of happiness spent here, I believe that it is one of the best happiness/price ratios in Paris. Especially with the coefficient given to Cédric Grolet’s desserts. So, see you soon, E.

We wanted to have a drink at the Meurice bar and not having found a place, we found ourselves in what is called the gallery. This is a room with dated decoration bordering on kitsch, with a large painted canvas on the ceiling created by a depressive and talentless painter. If the mocktails were acceptable, the pastries were very disappointing: a very bland pistachio cake, another with not very tasty mango, finally a hazelnut Paris-Brest which I strongly advise against: very fatty and too sweet, the fruit being found only in the shavings which decorated the dessert. Given the prices (28/22€), we expected more refinement. Finally, the pastries match the decoration of the place…
Be the first to ReplySuperb decor but...
Reservation in this restaurant following a "promotion" on the Voyages Privés website. The menu offered to us was quite nice. Since it was a guest's birthday, we decided to have an aperitif. 2 non-alcoholic cocktails and two glasses of champagne. I will come back to champagne a little later. We have as a starter, 3 crabs and a crispy nori. Honestly, nothing spectacular in taste. For main course, we had crispy rice with shellfish and squid with salicornia aioli and three pigeons. On the crispy rice, nothing to complain about, the person enjoyed their dish. As for the pigeons, no surprises about this dish which was a general disappointment both for the flavors of the pigeon itself and for the sauce which accompanied it. And I'm not talking about the quantities served. For desserts, it is true that Cédric Grolet's trompe l'oeil had their effect. But the taste honestly quickly becomes sickening due to the cream and mousse inside these desserts. Damage It is still necessary to emphasize the delicate attention of the candle on the chocolates at the end of the meal. Also note the friendliness of the server whose main objective was the well-being of the table. A big thank you to him for his smile and his kindness. In short, in general, a big disappointment, whether for the starters or the main courses. When we added the bill, we were surprised to see that we were charged 40 euros for the glass of champagne!!! So I am willing to admit that we were in a magnificent place, that we were at Le Meurice, an emblematic place but all the same.... Honestly, we will not return to this restaurant which is way too expensive for what we ate. But if you want to form your own opinion, go ahead. I look forward to reading your reviews.
Be the first to ReplyGreat time
Arriving a little early for brunch, we were very pleasantly received and invited to wait in the lobby. The restaurant is superb and the staff very elegant. We enjoyed the pastries and the variety of dishes including artichoke with truffle, Bellota ham and sea bream. The cheese platter is limited and might be worth reconsidering. The trompe l’oeil passion fruit is really good.. and what about the cookie.. I don’t think I’ve ever eaten one as good. In the end, an excellent brunch in a magnificent setting and orchestrated by very pleasant staff.
Be the first to ReplyWhat a desappointment !
What a desappointment! It all started with the reservation several weeks before the brunch. We had to call back 3 times to finalize the reservation. We are asked for the imprint of the bank card and we tell you that after 15 minutes of delay, the card will be charged. Start of the Meurice experiment: zero. We arrive 15 minutes early and there, you are asked to wait in the cramped lobby of the hotel. No offer to settle down or have a coffee. The only option is to picket the hotel lobby. At 200 euros for brunch, you have no right to any consideration. Brunch is shipped. We barely give you time to finish before we bring you the rest. Lots of people to crack down, too many. Suddenly, it's confusion. We asked for champagne with dessert, and they came and served us at the very end when we had nothing left on the table. Regarding the brunch itself. The pastries were excellent. The rest was, especially the dishes, ordinary, not to say bland. We expect to be surprised, let alone disappointment. The cheese platter was a rickety platter of Camembert, Comté and Mimolette. How original. We have the same ones in our fridge. A little imagination! there are so many choices in our country... Desserts: chocolate mousse, ok. A rum baba, yeah and... a trompe l'oeil passion fruit. Finally a little originality! In short, it's a forgettable experience. Other establishments offer much better quality services.
Be the first to ReplyPleasant moment with a big “but”
Coming to lunch a little late, shortly before tea time starts, this does not however justify a relaxation of the service. The staff is nevertheless very friendly, well dressed, with elegant gestures. Among the little hiccups that should not be tolerated in an establishment of this standing: stain of sauce spilled on the tablecloth by a waiter who doesn't care, forgetting to bring the wine which finally arrives two mouthfuls from the end of the dish , employee who responds with a "No worries" when we would rather expect a 'Please'. The cuisine is not inventive, it is not strictly speaking chef's cuisine: salmon as a starter with sauces, piece of beef in sauce or chicken accompanied by fries. We expected better. A menu was requested, in the end we only had the menu with prices at the level of a Michelin star, which the Dali is far from being. That being said: the room is splendid, as is the hotel, which is also very clean, we were very well seated, the atmosphere is pleasant, the products served are of high quality, such as the homemade sauces and creams and the perfect cooking! The desserts are of good quality. The meal was therefore very pleasant but the score was much too high compared to the expected experience.
Be the first to ReplyTourist trap, disgusting cakes
very very disappointed with the experience and the tea time today The cakes were not good, disgusting and we could not choose the cakes we wanted to taste which were imposed on us Regarding the three small bites, presented as sandwiches, it is shameful and especially for the smoked salmon bite, the quality of the salmon was truly of very poor quality The value for money is shameful to wonder if your palace, today only works for the Americans €80 per person for three mini cakes, three savory bites and two disgusting scones, it’s really making fun of the world We see Excellence on TV and when we arrive there it is rather very mediocre to wonder if today it is only money that counts there is no longer any quality or any sense of service. We arrived at 4:15 p.m. we were served at 5:15 p.m., an hour of waiting for three miserable cakes that were disgusting, overrated, too sickeningly sweet to avoid, it's a tourist trap. It's a scam.
Be the first to ReplyA great experience with two hiccups... Too bad. A failed dish, ravioli in-culpable because it is hard and rubbery...
A very nice place, a service with some shortcomings compared to the standard. A cooking error for a dish... Inconceivable at this level...
Be the first to ReplyThe Dali very beautiful room
Very warm welcome, very good service, a treat, the flavors were there, we enjoyed it because the dishes were brought to us, no need to get up, also beautiful presentation of the dishes, very nice room, not noisy Congratulations also to the entire kitchen team, we thank you
Be the first to ReplyChristmas Tea Time
After a slightly disorganized welcome, the tea time was superb. Magnificent room, quality and attentive service. The pastries were wonderful. Special mention for the hot chocolate (a marvel), and the apple juice (incredible natural taste). Experience to live!

Very nice experience Remarkable service where customer care is the concern of every moment Exciting sommelier who listened to us and offered a blind tasting of an astonishing Meursault, special congratulations to him Flawless
Be the first to ReplyA very nice place, nice principle but average welcome, too bad
The room is magnificent, lights and music, spaced out. The reception is very average, despite the reservation you have to wait for the table, no word of apology, ask the waiter after ten minutes of waiting to order. Nobody takes care of anything. The cart is pretty, good without being incredible except for one of CG's pastries but I expected better. I emphasize the very nice possibility of leaving with the leftovers. A great time, thanks to my company and the atmosphere
Be the first to ReplyUnforgettable tea time
Having high tea at the Dali in Hotel Meurice is always a treat. Each season brings a new signature dessert made by the famous Cedric Grolet. This time we had figs and mirabelles that looked so real we barely dared to break the delicate chocolate shell to taste the fruit compote inside. The scones are also remarkable, aerial, light as clouds. Take time to enjoy every single minute of this experience.
Be the first to ReplyA Treat - But Disappointed
We looked forward to our afternoon tea as a Christmas treat, there were three of us and we chose the champagne option which was around 110 Euros each. The food was delicious we loved the champagne. But for that amount you would have expected everything to be spot on, although the service was very good they did get the tea order wrong, and we were given earl grey tea as opposed to Breakfast Tea. We also had to ask for the tea as the food was served and yet no tea. Please also check your bill as the menu had said 110 euros - but when the bill came we were charged an extra 20 euros each, they said it was because it was the Christmas menu which was more expensive? No mention of this previously or no mention on the menu.
Be the first to ReplyDon’t go here for the food!
We went to Dali for my partners birthday. The staff were very attentive, professional and friendly. The room itself is magnificent with frescos adorning the ceiling and huge glass doors into other rooms. Stunning! The wine list is enormous and we chose some very good wines. However the meal was a disaster. We ordered oysters which were very good as a pre-starter but were served together with our starters which was confusing. My starter supposedly crab was surrounded by coco pops and hardly a trace of crab. My partner’s starter was supposed have been ravioli with foie gras but actually was fried dim sum in consommé and no trace of foie gras. Then the main course which took 30 minutes to arrive. I had the duck which was fried and then chargrilled. Inedible! My partner had the Dover sole which was overcooked. The vegetables arrived when we had finished our meal together with fries that were the worst pommes frites we have ever tasted in Paris. We explained our displeasure to the waiter and told us that he would report back to the chef. The waiter presented a box of chocolates to my partner for his birthday which was kind of him so full marks for the staff. Zero for the kitchen!
Be the first to ReplyTerrible --very dissapointed.. was especting much more Service & Food were terrible
We went at Le Dali, and we were hoping for an amazing night. Food and location bellow our expectations. The location is amazing, Christmas decorations also but when you look at the details... The ceiling is not painted but it is a printed cloth, unfortunately if you look closer you can see that it is filthy dirty.. also the table that we stayed look more like a regular street bistro...with wear. First of all the service was worst that an a normal french bistro.... the waiter was "tired" and at one point left us with the plates empty after eating 10 minutes, also vine service was very bad. Not expecting that from such a location. The most disappointing was the food ... the food was not tasty. We did the mixing with the sauces and the spice so we can do it as we should have but unfortunately of no avail. The Onion soup was extremely sweet, the beef Raviole and fois gras was bad.. basically we tasted the boiling water nothing else. The Noix de Saint Jacque was bellow average and the Supreme de volaille "Culoiselle" was not cooked well. (don't get me wrong... I am a medium rare guy)...the only good thing were my child chicken nuggets - We payed 350 euros and we regret it. We went to other establishments and we had an amazing time.. but this was a true disappointment.

Great brunch! A very Parisian way of having brunch with friends or alone. All details have been prepared diligently, very stylish and chic way. Sweets are amazing!
Be the first to ReplyNice food but service was lacking
Had high expectations both for food and service. The food was good, but the service was lacking. Several times we found us overlooked by the service and had to call them over to us several times.

A very dismal experience and not at all like what I’ve experienced for afternoon tea at Le Dalí in the past. Doubly bad bc my friend was very much looking forward to her first afternoon tea and after today will likely never seek one out again. We were promptly seated for our 16:30 reservation… And then we waited… And waited and then at the 25 min mark someone came by and handed us menus and poured water. Then we waited for another 10-12 min for the server to come back and abrasively ask if we were ready to order. I explained it was my friend’s first afternoon tea and the server quickly laid out what we would be receiving. No kindness or hospitality. The tea was delivered by a second server who quickly dropped off the tea pots and was about to leave when I asked about a timer. The food was average. Not great and not horrible. We were never checked on again by any server. We sat with empty plates (and tea) until we could get a servers attention and request the check. After a 15 minute wait, we were presented the bill. Btw, we were not the only table receiving poor service. I caught glances with two separate tables also looking exasperated at the overall poor attention. It’s too bad. I won’t return. I love afternoon tea and the Le Dalí of past years was an ideal spot. Those days are gone and I would highly recommend taking Le Dalí off your short list. (My new choice will be La Galerie at Four Seasons Hotel).
Be the first to ReplyGood but not great either
What you get for your €90 champagne afternoon tea is a gorgeous setting, elegant yet friendly service, and exemplary tea, champagne, sandwiches and scones. The pastries will depend on what Chef Grolet decides. Unfortunately, on our visit he decided to go with earthy colors of a passionfruit, an apricot and a caramel cookie. Whilst the fruit appeared realistic, they were colored white chocolate shells with pretty standard fruit and cream fillings. Just okay. The plain brown cookie, however, was superb. Crunchy and chewy textures provided contrast, as did the salt and caramel flavors. A winner! The dining room was very popular with lots of people enjoying the high tea atmosphere. We were particularly impressed by all staff we encountered from the doormen to the servers. All were polite and helpful. The elegant dining room was let down, however, by a local - not an American - guest in his shorts and running shoes. Sigh….
