Asian good, pot stickers bad
Birthday dinner with son and DIL. All the entrees were superb, as were the appetizer spring roll and sushi/sashimi. However, the pot stickers my husband had were small, chewy and not that tasty.

Outstanding experience. Friendly, knowledgeable, pleasant and attentive service by our server, Rilyn. We had had a full day of traveling, sightseeing and wine tastings and decided to just enjoy margaritas and a few appetizers here at Red Ginger. We sat at the bar and had a great show of artistic and skillful sushi preparations. Our appetizers of lettuce wraps, calamari and pot stickers were delicious. If I lived here in TC, Red Ginger would be a favorite.

We were on vacation and came here with friends who used to live locally and highly recommended it. The food was delicious, the service was very good and the ambiance was cool. We started with the Chinese Ribs, which were really good, edamame and Dragon Wings (which are unlike any wings we’ve seen anywhere else). I had the Lettuce Wraps as my dinner and there was plenty left over (for our friends to take home). Our friends had the Vietnamese Shaking Beef and Thai Chicken Curry, which they liked (and have had here before). My wife had the Asian Noodles which she liked. They have a nice bar selection, too.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic, as usual
It had been a year or more since we'd been in TC and this was our favourite restaurant. We now remember why. Stopped in here a couple days ago for some drinks and some sushi, while visiting TC. Food was fantastic, it has a great atmosphere, and service was as amazing as we had remembered it (thanks, Tyler!).

What a great consistent restaurant. The service is always impeccable and the food is so creative, delicious and beautifully put together. I come here a couple times a year from down south and am always impressed at the quality of the food and service. Keep up the great work!

Excellent service and delicious food. Our friends had the tuna poke, Indian curry, Thai curry, and salmon. Very fresh and delicious!!!!
Be the first to ReplyThe Best food and service!!! Great atmosphere!!
The yizu roll was delicious, as was the Thai Caesar Salad, followed by the perfectly cooked Salmon which was loaded with vegetables!! Yummy!! The bartender Tyler was awesome! He had great suggestions and he is always so polite and professional!! Thank you Dan and Pam! See you next time.

Great atmosphere inside and out on back deck along with great service. Thank you Teri W. We ordered Seared Salmon, Chef Dan's Roll, and spring rolls. All were delicious and fresh. I would go back over and over again!

I called to make a solo reservation. They said come in and we will find you a seat. The delightful young hostess's immediately sat me at a solo table next to the entrance of the kitchen. Dan was my waiter and his service was impeccable, polite and on point. The miso clam soup, spring rolls and rib appetizers were off the charts delicious. I was in the mood for ice cream for dessert and Dan could not rave enough about the desserts at the restaurant and the local Moomers Ice cream. I was so full from the appetizers and walked Front Street for a while before taking a UBER back to the Grand Traverse Resort. As a former restauranteur, I thank you for the kindness, friendliness and incredible food and superior service from Dan.

The service is outstanding. The sushi is fresh and prepared perfectly. The ambiance for a sushi inspired restaurant that also serves regular seafood dishes is exceptional. My server Dan, is on point and the wine list provided very good choices.

Use to love eating here, disappointed quality isn't what it used to be. Waitress couldn't answer basis question concerning green curry. Disappointed spending $150 and left food on our plate.
Be the first to ReplyDisappointed, getting too pricey to enjoy!
Pricing me out of the market. Asian cuisine used to be fun and flavorful and inexpensive. Places like Red Ginger take the fun out of it when your bill exceeds 200.00 for a couple drinks and simple dinner.

Bragged about the fish being flown from Hawaii. Took a long time, Sushi was meh. As a avid sushi lover, I was not impressed. The only reason this place rated so highly was the atmosphere. NOT THE FISH. Also the only other sushi restaurants are inside Asian buffets, so not a lot of competition. Most of the sushi was either with cream cheese, covered in some spicy sauce, or crab. Which is my opinion are cheap fillers. We visited here because it was the one of the top 10 restaurants in the area rated on this site. It was not worth $40 for one roll and a side order of old tasting sashimi. Try the Reflect Bistro or Amical. They were amazing meals.
