Rebel Omakase Laguna Beach Reviews from The Last Year
Over rated, under performed. No central air, numerous junk fees, attempted upselling, and unanswered phones.
Champaign on reception was a nice touch. Downhill from there. Valet had told us to call ahead and our vehicle would be waiting. Did not mention that the phone would not be answered, and even when it finally was, there was no car waiting when we showed up. Explanation was that there too many cars to meet that expectation. Upselling attempt at front desk was not welcome, but a Marriott upgrade would have been. Irritating were numerous junk fees including delivery charges, service charges, administrative fees, and a resort fee. We avoided most by not using room service. Air conditioner was in room and made a lot of noise. We were there less than 24 hours, but that was too long. Not sure what they are running, but was definitely not a 5 star operation. On the positive side, the wedding portion was well done, and the service there did meet expectations.

Chef Jordan and his team offer an omakase experience that is second to none. The quality of the fish - all from Japan - is exceptional. The service is attentive to a degree that is hard to imagine - the slightest glance that might indicate need, or the nearly empty sake glass illicit an immediate visit from one of the personable hosts. The restaurant itself is minimalist and sleek and speaks to the heritage of the concept. A truly world-class place to dine.
The Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel - Laid back luxury and plenty for the littles
We recently celebrated 4th of July Eve and more importantly, our son’s upcoming birthday, at The Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel using a free night Marriott Bonvoy perk. This one has been on the hit list for a while and our ocean view room with a fire pit did not disappoint. Service: The Ritz out did themselves making our stay especially wonderful for our son. From the huge balloon bouquet waiting in our room to the beach toys to the s’mores kit at turn down service time he was over the moon. Activities: Swimming! Basketball! Ping Pong! We weren’t there long enough to take advantage of the ocean excursions or kids club but this one is clearly luxury made for the littles. And every turn hosts a romantic spot for adult couples to steal a special moment. Dining: We dined at 180blu for an ocean view lunch and Kahani for a delicious Indian birthday dinner. Cocktails & food were simply delicious at both and the service at Kahani was thoughtful and attentive. Only wish we had time to dine at their Omakase restaurant. She Said: This resort reminds me a lot of a Faust family favorite, the Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay but with a So Cal vibe. Cant wait to come back and make more #rcmemories! He Said: Classic Ritz Carlton service, ocean view private fire pits, Indian, Omakase, multiple ocean view restaurants… it’s enough to make a grown man cry. But I’ll save the happy tears for Half Moon Bay. #thefaustslovetravel #thefaustslovelaguna #wanderlust #birthdayfun #birthdaytravel #california #californiacoast #lagunaniguel #luxurytravel #theritzcarltonlagunaniguel #rcmemories
Replace the name from Ritz to motel6!
Heads up! Don’t book here. Over priced and rated. I checked out next day to the Pelican who hosted me like there is no tomorrow. Well done pelican. Such an impressment for the ritz name. I will never stay at this hotel again. Worst customer care and services. We came for our wedding photoshoot and they were informed earlier however we were prohibited from taking any photos on property. Done they have the right. But the service is by far the worst we’ve been all around the world and the concept of satisfying your customer is not in their dictionary. Order ice it takes forever or you get charged to have it from the bar. Car parking is charged at $75 per night. When we checked in there is only one towel and one rope in the bathroom. Our room were not serviced until evening time although we left the room in the morning. And guess what? house keeping walked in and said we will clean while you are in the room, also we checked in morning time and left to get in our room at 8pm, guess what we waited for our bags although they should’ve been in the room. Oh my god worst ever experience. They lost a good customer forever Ritz. Mange your property’s well! Motel 6 probably better than this one! 😂 For the security matter as well, they don’t have any security people at any doors so people can enter the building coming from the beach they can pass your rooms while house keeping in the room easily, I have just came from Four Seasons Beverly Hills, you cannot stop paying attention at the security. And for the concierge they are just like a decoration for the hotel, you rarely find someone their to assist you, after visiting multiple times to the desk till I catch someone I asked for a blow dry appointment he did nothing he basically told me to go to the town or call instead of telling me rest assure to enjoy your day and I’ll make you all the reservation. Useless right? Oh yeah one last thing about this restaurant called Raya they think it’s a high end restaurant, seriously guys you know nothing about luxury and fine dining, all plates came in one shot! the stake was stacked in a small plate I could taste the charcoal in my mouth, and bwt this comment I will share it with a wide range of my friends and families 👍🏼 get yourself a better management for this hotel to survive.
This is not worthy of the name Ritz
Not even 24 hrs at this hotel and I wish we had chosen somewhere else Check in was slow A long line and only two people checking guests in, no regard for the line , disappearing for lengthy periods Decided to have lunch at the main pool Service has been sub standard at best Brought the wrong meal, argued over it, told no manager , complained again , the server never came back, then someone turns up with an add on to the dish Eventually sent it back ordered something else and suddenly a manager appears apologised and asked can he bring us some water , I am still waiting , meal done and no drink has appeared Don’t apologise and offer and then ignore and not follow through Pity the conference is at this hotel and we have four more night’s
An embarrassment to the Ritz Carlton brand
An embarrassment to the Ritz Carlton brand. I never normally write reviews, but almost 2 weeks after leaving I still feel strongly affected and felt the need to share this note of caution. In summary there is little attention paid to room standards or customer care. Stayed for 5 nights for a wedding, but wanted to leave after 2. Room on check in had clearly not been checked: - blocked shower - no shower gel - no slippers Also, room key stopped working after 1 day and had to chase reception twice to add my Marriott membership number. (This is the Ritz Carlton remember). When I called reception for shower gel they advised they did not provide this - I took this at face value, but family and friends who were also staying at the Ritz advised me this was not true - not sure why reception felt the need to lie about this? Felt very upset after being there for 2 days after having spent half my time chasing reception. By this time I had given up on the hotel so didn’t bother mentioning to them the open razor blade left lying in the corridor outside our room (which I moved to one side so that kids couldn’t touch it, but it was still there 3 days later when we left). I had already expressed my concerns about the other issues above to 2 reception managers before discovering the razor blade and got a lot of hollow apologies and $300 compensation (which I didn’t care about), but the whole experience left me never wanting to stay at the Ritz again.

Parking $75 Resort fee $60 Nice hotel with nice view, however the room and swimming pool is so dirty and old. Over all, good place for summer if you not staying in the room. 有這最佳的Dana point美景已經是世界級的飯店了,服務人員大多數很親切,但談不上主動,但是以美國的服務來說已經很不錯。 可惜房間實在太差👎 全部大扣分的點就是房間內飾實在太老舊
Fantastic experience for the senses.
Each dish crafted like art, melts in your mouth. Service and attention to detail were superb. Can't wait to go back!
Ocean front vacation
Fantasticly Amazing, all the employees I engaged with were outstanding, the views were stunning and the food and drinks were very delicious. The view from my oceanfront balcony was simply amazing. My room was very very comfortable and the sounds from the ocean from the balcony was wonderful.
Disappointing, worse Ritz stay ever
Overall, pretty disappointing for a Ritz- Carlton Property. We are gold elite members and have stayed at many Ritz and Marriot properties around the world including Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai and around the US. The service has always been impeccable and this is the reason we keep coming back. My wife and daughter had a girls trip at the Ritz Amelia Island and wanted for nothing, had an amazing time and loved it. Amelia Island was only a tier 3 and Laguna was a tier 4 so we had high expectations to say the least. My wife, daughter and I came for my nephews wedding and had 2 rooms, one for us on the club level and one for our daughter. The check in and reception was great, offered us champagne and were fast and efficient. It kind of went down hill from there. The bellman left the dolly out in front of our room and it stayed there for a good 4-5 hours. Neither one of our rooms were cleaned, even though we were gone most of the day, from 10-4. When we checked out, we waited almost 30 minutes for a bellman and had to call 4 times. I was in the room waiting for the bellman and my wife went down to check us out. After the 4th time, she asked if she could get a key so she could go back to help me with luggage. The front desk just said sure instead of apologizing for the delay or checking to see what the delay was. Luckily the bellman came up before my wife had to walk all the way back. My cousin waited 1.5 hrs for a bellman and ended up taking there own luggage downstairs. Finally, the worst part of the trip. My parents were also in town for the wedding and had borrowed a family members car and staying with family. They had to drive back to the house after the wedding. They were given the wrong car by the valet and did not realize it until they got home and had to drive all the way back, almost 2 hrs round trip at 11 pm at night. Once again, no apology. They just told my parents it happens. I understand it was a busy weekend and things happen, but this is totally unacceptable, especially for a Ritz-Carlton. We will continue to stay at the Ritz Carlton, but unlikely to stay at Laguna Niguel when we come back to California
A beautiful hotel
This was our second trip to Dana Point but our first stay at this hotel. We were excited to try this hotel, and it was as good as we expected. We reserved our room through the hotel's website, but after our check-in, we noticed a significant mistake in our reservation, which was disappointing. However, after discussing it with the front desk, a manager called me and corrected the problem immediately. The hotel staff are very nice and friendly. The hotel is large, very clean, and beautiful. This is one of those resorts where you can spend all your time inside the hotel, enjoying its pools and the beach in front of it. The rooms are nice and clean. The hotel has one of the best views of the coast, and it is possibly one of the most beautiful coasts we have ever seen. There is a very nice beach walk in front of the hotel with an amazing view of the ocean.
Perhaps the best meal I've ever had.
Truly excellent in service, presentation, and flavor. A quiet, intimate setting. More experience than meal.
Best club lounge in the US!
Wow 🤩 the club lounge blew us away! Food and drinks were amazing but above all the people who work at the club lounge made our stay! I want to especially point out Diane, Alex, Yolino, Leighian, Amanda, Sylvia! They were the stars of the club lounge, they were always there anytime when we needed anything! Also I want to thank Nathan at the front desk who was very professional and very welcoming and checked us in very smoothly and fast and welcomed us with champagne! We stayed at the fire pit ocean front suite room which was mind blowing! Best staycation ever! Recommended 10 out of 10!

Our son treated me to an early Mother's Day dinner with my husband, and it was one of the top dining experiences on my list. The staff was extremely friendly and professional. The Tokyo-style ambiance as an additional treat. We conversed with a sweet couple at the counter which also made it pleasant. Every dish and presentation were impressive and the quality is unsurpassed. I would highly recommend Rebel Omakase to any and every foodie that is looking for an unforgettable meal.

Full marks for ritual! But the flavor is not our favorite, and it is a good place for a date! The service was really nice. But service dogs are not allowed.
Excellent omakase.
We went for the 12 course lunch ($160 pp) and were not disappointed! It's not just sushi-- it's an experience. Here's everything you need to know... Reservations - you'll need them. Make them on Opentable and you will need to use a credit card as they charge if you cancel less than 72 hours in advance (trust me, you won't want to cancel this!). They overnight fish from Japan in advance so they're assuming a significant cost once the reservation is made, but you can transfer the reservation to someone else if you can't make it. Parking - plenty of street parking and the chef told us they have a small lot in the back. We didn't see that so we just parked on the street at a meter. $7.50 for three hours. Lunch takes a little over an hour and dinner takes a little over 2 hours, but it depends on how many people are there (the more, the longer) so give yourself a little cushion if you decide to meter. Service - Excellent. The moment you finish a course, there's someone there to take your plate. And there was a gentleman who explained every dish to us which was really nice as they were mostly dishes we'd never had before and some of the types of fish we'd never even heard of. Food - lunch is twelve courses, although some courses are just a single piece of sushi. Everything was meticulously prepared and delicious. My husband said it's the best sushi he's ever had. It's mostly raw but there are a few cooked/hot dishes as well (cooked fish filet with caviar in a dashi broth, egg drop soup with crab meat, and an egg custard with squid). There wasn't a single course we didn't like. The dessert for dinner is ice cream but for lunch it was a slice of Japanese melon (see my photos for portion sizes) that was better than any melon I've ever had. Beverages - I highly recommend you try the sake and the draught beer. When you order a carafe or bottle of sake (the carafe we ordered was $55), they bring out a box with unique sake glasses and you choose your own glass. It doesn't seem like much but it makes it really special. My husband ordered the Orion beer (in a bottle) which he liked, but then the server recommended he try the Japanese draught beer which he ended up getting another glass of. I'm not usually a beer fan but even I liked it. They also have hot tea (which I had in addition to the sake). Ambiance - minimalist and calming. It kind of reminded me of a spa. The lighting, the music, the decor was all very relaxing and really added to the experience. Chef - very humble and friendly. He encouraged us to ask questions (which we did!) and was so forthcoming in his answers. We learned a lot about the fish and how different chefs prepare sushi, etc. They even took a polaroid photo of us with the chef before we left. A few things to note - they open the door exactly at the reservation time so if you get there early and the door is locked, don't worry-- they're in there getting everything ready for you. They also have a restroom for customers so don't think you have to use the public ones (like you do with several establishments in Laguna). The lunch and dinner times are exact and you really do need to be on time. A couple in our group was late and they sort of had to rush through the first three courses to catch up.
A beautifully curated experience from start to finish with
A beautifully curated experience from start to finish with excellent service. We decided to celebrate Valentine's here (late review) and albeit great presentation, the food fell short for us. We had about 15 people in our service, 11 at the bar and 4 at the two tables behind us. Here's a few things to note from our visit: 1. Parking: there's a designated lot with limited spots behind the restaurant, or if full there is plenty of street metered parking. We got there half an hour early and secured a spot in the lot. 2. Arrival: The doors don't open until the time of your service. If you arrive early, bring a jacket or dress warm because you have to wait outside in the patio and there are no heaters. Most people seemed to arrive 20 mins before. 3. Courses: We had the menu in front of us and knew exactly what would come except for the types of sashimi and nigiri. I wish they took the time to print on the menu which fish we ate because as you get dish after dish, it starts to pick up and if you can't remember that's kind of it. I didn't like that my baby squid (at the bottom of the soup) had a piece of its plastic quill inside it, and the stone crab I had also had pieces of shell inside, at the price point I expected more meticulous preparation. The dessert I wish we got more of, I understand omakase isn't mentioned to be glutinous but one grape and one strawberry split in half plated with a spoon of ice cream isn't much, along with a 2 in piece of Japanese honeydew. 4. Taste: I would say taste was more on the sweet and bland side. The nigiri though was excellent, I enjoyed the subtle bits of yuzu salt and soy that were added by the chef. I think the raw squid was the best I've had, perfect umami. The egg drop soup and the chawanmushi were underwhelming since it was more bland. 5. Presentation: phenomenal it was literally like eating art! Chef has a great eye for detail and each dish was aesthetically pleasing. See my pictures for how they used red beans and mung beans, to dishware absolutely beautiful and captivating. 6. Service: absolutely great! The staff kept a keen eye on you and the chefs stayed engaged. Sometimes the staff would explain what the dish was and sometimes the chef would. They'd help you in and out of your seat during service and always refilled waters. At the end of the service, the chef gifted each party a sake bottle a sweet and genuine gesture. Overall, it was a great experience to try and be a part of, if they did a la carte we'd consider coming back one day.
Superb experience.
Great little gem in Laguna Beach. A must desitination restaurant. The husband and wife team that run this establishment are simply wonderful. Servcie is on point. The food is presented beautifully and is delicius bite after bite. My only tiny gripe would be that I left still hungry.
I went here last week for the 3rd time ( not the last)
I went here last week for the 3rd time ( not the last) every time I've had excellent service, extremely attentive and friendly but also professional. My friend and I sat at the bar ordered our sake, they always have sake that most places don't carry with a wide price range. Little did we know, until after the dinner that the owner was our main sushi chef who is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Every time I've been here the menu has not been the same. Similar concepts with presentation but always something new yet amazing. The spacing in between being plated and presented is perfect. The portions are the perfect size, I have never left hungry. The inside is quaint, simple decor and as nice as it is, it is inviting. I can't wait for my next visit.
Lovely hotel, location and excellent staff
What a lovely hotel! The facilities were clean and well cared for. Our room was beautiful and even had a view of the ocean even though we were technically 'garden view'. I wish there had been more information about amenities provided for the resort fee e.g. the ability to have chairs and umbrella set up on the beach. We would certainly have taken advantage of that perk more than we did (found out about it on our last day there). And the staff were wonderful. All of the bellmen and the concierge took care of us like we were "A" list and went above and beyond. They drove us to restaurants, shops and the marina and we used Uber or the Trolley to get back. Our room was well taken care of every day with towels replenished, coffee refilled and sheets changed. It was a wonderful week! Thank you Ritz Carlton!
Amazing service and location
Our arrival at the Ritz began disappointingly: a driveway packed with cars and people. The valet parking attendant advised us that a group (the Roth Investment Conference) had bought out the hotel and the group was just now dispersing. We were told that we would not have access to the resort until noon. At first we thought we would have to leave the driveway and kill some time with tired children but a manager came to our rescue, apologized for the brief inconvenience and even took the time to walk us down to the beach. We didn't expect to be able to check in until later but the front desk texted us at 12:15pm that our room was ready and we were upgraded to spectacular ocean view. The rooms at the hotel, especially the bathrooms, are painfully dated, but service remained wonderful throughout the stay and the location is an 11 out of 10, on a stunning beach in a county full of great beaches. We will definitely return despite the rooms (but I hope they address this at some point!)
Unacceptable stay
Words cannot express how disappointed we are in this property. My husband attended an event on property and we extended our stay to have a nice weekend away. Our flight home was booked at 7 pm on Sunday thinking we could relax by the pool or at the beach on Sunday and have a nice dinner before heading home. We had no indication at check-in or in advance that the Ritz was trying to be a convention property and they would completely shut down all operations (and remove all furniture) while a very large group moved in. Both pools were closed and furniture was pulled, all recreation staff was released, the bar was closed, the lobby was turned into a convention center like check-in station, and all public seating was removed. We were granted a 12 pm checkout but our room faced a lawn that was now an event stage. Saturday was filled with setup and bright lights well into the night, and then a 7 am sound check. Even our pool time on Saturday had fork lifts and obnoxious sound checks for a concert they were setting up. We asked if we could even have someone grab us a chair and towel for the beach to revive the day (that we would setup ourselves) and we were told it would be impossible. As a meeting planner for 18 years, I understand that some disruptions may occur. I also could clearly see that this event was much too large for the space you had available. Seating and setup looked tight at every corner. I would never book an event here after seeing what I saw over the last few days. My husband and I took a very rare weekend away, and I am beyond disappointed that you robbed us of what could have been an enjoyable day. We felt pushed out and unwelcome. While you offered us some points, it doesn’t make up for the bad taste you left in our mouth.
We had the pleasure of dining here for lunch omakase.
It was incredible! The food was exceptional! Fresh, delicious and unique sushi/seafood. Ambience was great. Service was exceptional. Overall amazing experience and I highly recommend!
Beautiful resort; Communication a little lacking
Pros: Absolutely beautiful property. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable with a spectacular ocean view. We also had wonderful treatments at the spa. The room service was outstanding and the food was delicious. The staff members we interacted with during our stay were professional, friendly and helpful. Cons: Communication was poor. Advance arrangements I had made prior to our visit, which were clearly documented and confirmed by RC staff in emails, seemed to have gotten lost, so I kept having to follow up during our stay and even show proof of what had been promised to me (And frankly, these were simple things, like 2 beds instead of 1, a champagne set up in the room for my friend's birthday, discounts that had been promised in the spa). Had there been only 1 problem, I would have understood, but it kept happening on a variety of levels. There seems to be a disconnect somewhere between the weekday staff and the weekend staff....or perhaps special requests are not being logged in the reservation system? Not sure what the issue is, but it needs some attention. To the resort's credit, they really did their very best to rectify everything once it was brought to their attention, and I do greatly appreciate that. Still, my having to "babysit" all of this stuff during our stay unfortunately took away from the relaxing visit we had planned. Also, given the high price of the room ($1,200+ per night) I would have expected a bit more organization for a resort of this caliber.
overall wonderful property — beware the smaller rooms
Wonderful service and unbeatable location. The access to the wonderful beach and the views are enchanting. We had a garden king room and it was a speedbump in our full experience. The bathroom was cluttery and small with awkward access to the toilet. The closet door blocked the entrance between the bathroom and the bedroom area. Getting dressed and moving about the room was inelegant and cramped. We were constantly bumping into each other. It reminded me of a small New York City mid range hotel room. There was no bathtub. So, the room did not delight nor relax. My recommendation is to choose your room type carefully to assure the enjoyment of your stay.
When you go to Dana Point, California, make sure you consider the Ritz Carlton Hotel
Everything about this hotel is A+. When we checked in, the staff was so welcoming. We knew it is in a great location, but it is just above the ocean, and it is very easy to walk to it. The view is spectacular. We loved walking around the entire outdoor area with the beautiful landscaping and well maintained access to everything outdoors. It is very convenient to drive to the nearby towns. The restaurants are excellent. The pricing is fair, and the menus have great choices. There is even a restaurant serving Indian food, and a very unusual Japanese restaurant because it caters to small groups and we understand that everyone who goes there feels like they are in Japan. Not only is the front desk staff terrific, but so is every other person who works there. They all are ready to help, and helped us realize that any questions we asked would be promptly answered and also requests for service would be done the same way. Plus, the gym has a great selection of equipment. We didn’t use the outdoor pool or hot tub, but walked by them many times, and wished we had brought the clothes so we could have enjoyed them. We would recommend this hotel to everyone.
Great Staff and Hotel
My wife and I went to the hotel for a short two-day winter break and enjoyed it thoroughly. We had booked a room on points with a fire pit but upon opening the room we discovered two issues with those rooms. They are on the ground floor with a large lawn area that obscures the ocean view. Also, it was raining and a down spout was dripping loudly on the fire pit. So, we asked for a higher room with full ocean view and were given that plus a $200 hotel credit we used for dinner. We were impressed at how nicely the desk staff handled this situation and appreciated the credit. The room was very nice and the view great. We enjoyed watching the surfers on the beach below. At one point I counted 30 of them. What fun it was to watch from inside the room or deck. Dinner was excellent in the main restaurant up against the windows. We noted how good the service was and how warm and polite the staff is. As an example of this, the second night we ate in town and upon returning headed for the bar. They have a bar menu there and it included a hot fudge sundae. When it was brought by the kitchen staff we found it was totally frozen so you almost couldn't even breakthrough the whipped cream. With some effort my wife was able to break into it and ate a bit. The server appeared and asked how it was and we told her it was totally frozen. She left and came back with a perfectly prepared sundae even though my wife had eaten about a third of the other one. She also took it off the bill and was so very pleasant about the situation. They must really train their people well.
This place has greatly improved from my first experience
This place has greatly improved from my first experience years ago. Food, service, attendance, attention to detail, it's all a great experience, It's worth the cost and time. The experience is at least 2.5 hours so set time aside, and come ready to eat and joy. The decor is natural & minimalistic, the lighting is dim, the bar counter under lighting is sexy and it provides just enough light to capture great photos & videos.
Needs a bit of polishing, otherwise a super experience.
A few service areas need polishing. Grounds and view are great. Room= shower head can be larger with more power. They need a garbage can in the toilet room and an extra bottle of water be appreciated. That said room was very nice. A/C worked, room darkening shades worked, plenty of towels, turn down service did very well, bed comfy, TV had plenty of channels, tons of outlets and the room very clean. Pool was nice attendants attentive. Front desk was a disaster, friendly when you got someone, but wait (2x) was way too long. When one person is working the desk and they see a line, call someone. For period there was even no-one there, no bell and I'm yelling to the back. When they had 3 people working the line was too long. Valet, they give you text number. one time they said they didn't get it, one time I said i texted, they looked at the screen and said it came across, (when I gave them 10 minute warning). Another time it was there but no clue if it would be, as the texts don't get confirmed as received. The service at Raya was terrible. May be valet, and front desk was fluke (They very friendly, just with issues) - this hotel is nice and would give them another chance if I was in the area.
We have had the pleasure of eating at Rebel omakase twice
We have had the pleasure of eating at Rebel omakase twice now. Both times have been exceptional. The service is incredible. They even remembered my boyfriend and I the second time we went which a year and a half later! They are so attentive and very understanding when it comes to allergies. They made everything gluten and dairy free so I didn't miss a course. The food is some of the best I've ever had. Not only is it tasty it's beautiful. You can tell the love and time put into each bite. This place is something special and really makes you appreciate life and all its beauty. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend coming here and celebrating a special occasion or just life in general. You will not be disappointed.
My review is way overdue.
I will start by saying that this was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. My wife and I usually go to Nobu for Omakase to celebrate our birthdays, or very special occasions, but Nobu was booked solid. I did an internet search and found Rebel Omakase. The reason Rebel Omakase is better than Nobu is because it is a more intimate setting than Nobu because you are sitting right in front of the chefs and you are able to watch them create every dish. You are also sitting with the other 18 people that the main area sits. It is amazing to watch the chefs create such delicious art. The dining experience is also much more interactive with the chefs and other diners . The food and service are simply amazing. The price is slightly more expensive than Nobu, but definitely worth it. This is truly a "must try" experience.
A Memorable Stay at Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel
Our third stay at the Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel was exceptional. We spent 2 nights and 3 days over President's Day weekend and it was truly memorable. Check-in was incredibly convenient. Tri P., the Guest Relations Coordinator, reached out to us before our stay and ensured everything would be special. Tri went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. We were pleasantly surprised by the extras, like complimentary champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries in our room - just amazing! We stayed in room #3508, an Ocean View with Balcony, and it was fantastic. The view was breathtaking, and the service throughout the property was exceptional. The rooms were spotlessly clean, the beds were comfortable, and the resort itself was beautiful. Every member of the hotel staff seemed dedicated to meeting our needs. Tre, Diana, Lisa, Sofia, and Junyi at the front desk provided excellent service with warm smiles. Overall, we felt like VIPs from the moment we arrived until we left. Having stayed at many 5-star properties, the Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel has secured a special place in our hearts for years to come.
Rebel Omakase exceeded my expectations with its delightful
Rebel Omakase exceeded my expectations with its delightful ambiance and exceptional dining experience. Despite the initial challenge of finding parking, the hassle was quickly forgotten as we immersed ourselves in the inviting atmosphere. While parking in a garage required payment, the experience proved worthwhile. The food was undeniably delicious, with each dish presenting a harmonious blend of flavors and textures that left our taste buds craving more. What truly set Rebel Omakase apart was the outstanding service provided by the staff. Every member of the team was incredibly respectful and kind, ensuring that our dining experience was nothing short of memorable. From start to finish, we felt warmly welcomed and thoroughly enjoyed every moment spent at Rebel Omakase. I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking an unforgettable culinary adventure.
Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel
Excellent service from valet to front desk to room service. Beautiful view from the hotel and you can walk down to the beach and they have a golf cart to take you back up. We enjoyed their hospitality and would highly recommend them. This was our second trip there.
A must stay
Checked in and immediately was blown away how beautiful the property was. Michelle checked us in and normally is in reservations but she was perfect at Check in. Incredibly helpful and got us an incredible room before official Check in time. We had a room with a fire pit was great for making smores with my little one. We had dinner at Raya and food was so delicious. Dean was our server and he was just the kindest. I think it was a busier night than usual but he never faltered and provided incredible service.
Service and Ambiance decent.
chawanmushi HARD and bland, soup bland, sashimi keep putting into plastic wrap instead of serving cut portion right away. Not going back.
Best sushi spot at this point in time in Southern
Best sushi spot at this point in time in Southern California, imho, hands down. Ambiance isn't Nobu Malibu, but where is. Service is outstanding, classic, purposeful. Every single detail or every single ingredient is always on point.
What a delight! This place is a true experience.
You don't have to read very far in these reviews to see how unique and special everything is about this place. If you are looking for a sushi dinner go to your local sushi restaurant. If you want a unique Omakase experience you've come to the right place. Any review less than five stars was lost and should never have come here.
Rebel deserves a solid 5 stars.
The co-owners, Deborah and Chef Jordan are doing things right at Rebel Omakase. The staff genuinely care about your experience and the food is incredible. The guests around the sushi counter were all happy to be there and support the wonderful restaurant - we will be back!
I made a reservation in advance and after the reservations
I made a reservation in advance and after the reservations were made I had a question. I also placed several calls on separate dates and could not get through. Finally on the day of my reservation, I received a text "Thank You for reaching out to Rebel Omakase Restaurant. To make a reservation please see our profile on Open Table." I replied by stating it was not about a reservation and that it was not a good sign when you couldn't make contact with an establishment. Further adding that I would leave this on my Yelp review. Then they send another text stating if I had any questions to contact the restaurant. I said it was too late, since I no longer required their assistance. Following, a person by the name of Debrah sent a message stating that my reservations were canceled. I asked her why she canceled, and she did not respond. Please avoid this restaurant. Do not waste your time and efforts. They lack class and customer service. Obviously they saw my calls, because they sent me a text message on the day of my reservation. There is not an option to leave a voicemail. Plenty of great Omakase in Orange County, such as Ootoro Sushi, Taira Sushi, Gino Omakase, Izakaya Osen, and Momoyama. There is not an option for zero star review.

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.
Success on Short Notice
Was able to snag an indoor table at Don Angie through an absolutely seamless worry-free process.
Worked perfectly, thank you!
This is a crazy holiday season in NYC and I was very pleasantly surprised to see that AppointmentTrader works! Will be using again!
Worked flawlessly!
Worked so well! I was a bit nervous, but everything went very smoothly. purchased the reservation, and got into the restaurant seamlessly.
Love this app!
So glad I came across this app :)
Quick table in Miami
I didn’t have my hopes high as it was a party of 4. In 24 hours I had a carbone reservation available! I was very happy as my family really wanted to come here
Prime time, great meal
So easy and had a prime time which I can never seem to get on normal res apps. So worth it
Got impossible NYC res
instead of waiting weeks I got my 4 charles reservation instantly
Worked perfectly to get into Carbone. So delighted
perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??
Tune into NBC News - Top Story Tonight 7:40p ET
Let’s go. Get more people placing bids!
I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
