The place is alright, with so many Ray's pizza locations
The place is alright, with so many Ray's pizza locations this is one I like more. The service here is ok at best, some times there can be a bit of a longer wait. That's the only reason I'm giving them the 4 stars instead of the 5. The food is great though, everyones super friendly. I do like coming here when I'm close by.

This is the worst pizza I ever had! At night it's not even warm; a $6-Ray-Special-Slice...
Be the first to ReplyOh my Lord!!! This pizza is insanely delicious.
I am not kidding. Pretty sure my favorite places to visit when I'm in New York are Ray's Pizza in Soho, and Bloomindale's on Lexington :) If you drop in at Ray's, please have one slice of the pesto pizza and one slice of the pepperoni. It's so good, I could cry just remembering it! Trust. On my last trip to NY, I got a piece to-go and ate it on the plane. I was the happiest camper on that flight home and pretty sure the other passengers around me were super jelly. Just saying :-) Seriously, if you are in NY, please bookmark this spot and swing by. Its New York pizza at its finest! xo Dre

Be the first to ReplyHappy to have tried it, sad that you haven't and never will.
It really was one of the best slices I've ever had. No lie... and if they open anywhere else it just wouldn't be the same. Sorry buddy... it just becomes one of those foodies stories I'll always get to brag about but you'll never be able to call me out on. =)

Be the first to ReplyWow - can't believe Rays is closing - so sad.
I've often done Rays and Lombardi's in the same evening. This was our #2 in the country. The toppings maybe even better that Lombardi's, but not the crust.you'll be missed.--Jerry
Be the first to ReplyPizza was okay, but nothing special.
Thin crust, not too greasy and cheap. Good deal if you're in the area, but I heard they closed.

Read that the original Ray's was closing on Eater and had to come pay my respects and try a slice! I nabbed the last pesto slice they had and gobbled that ish up (sans olives, I hate olives). I love pesto but also understand how overwhelming it could be if it was just piled on. The pesto slice had the perfect pesto-cheese-dough ratio and the crust was thin and had the right amount of crunch to it. Great slice of real NYC pizza!
