Ramen-Ya (Katana-ya) Las Vegas Reviews from The Last Year

Best little ramen place ever!! It's like Japan where it's pretty hidden and tiny, we love the ambiance! The staff is always Uber friendly and the Ramen is delicious!! We got the specialty which is Ramen with chasu, chicken karage, beef and gyoza. We love going here and we always leave super full!!

Ordered a veggie ramen super spicy and in return got a water flavored chilly powder. Wouldn't recommend even if you're living on the strip. Take a Uber and go some place decent if you're spending that kinda money
The ramen here is average to below average.
Nearly $100 for a family of four with the mandatory 17% tip. At least they didn't force us to tip on the tax as well (like many restaurants these days). Very disappointing given the glowing reviews. I feel like the positive reviews might be from out of towners who don't have access to a lot of ramen restaurants.
This is the worst ramen I've ever tasted, but the service
This is the worst ramen I've ever tasted, but the service was incredible! The eggs were hard boiled two days ago, the chicken was microwaved frozen chunks, and the pork belly was...something. The broth of the miso and tonkotsu were both...not tasty. The service was amazing though.
Fried chicken w/ spicy Kontotsu soup is the bomb.
This is in a little alley near the Grand Bazaar Shops. Reminds me of some of the excellent ramen shops in Japan in venue. Completely recommend this place.
Our go to for ramen when we're in Vegas.
Staff are wonderful, very friendly and make you feel at home. The ramen is very good with the noodles cooked perfectly every time and the broth is not too thick or too salty. It's in the Grand Bazaar shops just in front of the Horseshoe. I've seen it can get quite crowded but each time we've gone we've been able to walk in and be seated.
If you are looking for a real Ramen, this is not for you! I
If you are looking for a real Ramen, this is not for you! I should have known when I saw the hard boiled egg picture on Yelp. Mistake coming here. Very disappointing. Broth was not rich at all. The egg was hard boiled which not right at all. That is Pure lazy. And the pork belly was nasty too. Pure fat and it was not grilled which it should. The friend chicken was okay. But they gave me a slice of lemon which is impossible to squeeze. so I asked for a piece of lemon that I can squeeze, the waitress gave me half of the lemon but wanted to charge me $1.89 for it on my bill for a piece of lemon! Nope I refuse. Either she takes that off, or I pay no tips. Anyways I would walk a little bit further to try momofuku next time. At least the egg on the ramen looks right there.
Excellent!!
Best Ramen on the Las Vegas strip, in my opinion! Highly recommend! Visited 4 times with my wife, during our stay at Horseshoe Casino.

My daughter and I had a sudden craving for ramen while visiting Vegas and I'm so glad we found this place! This is a classic example of those "hole-in-the-wall" places being the best places! This place is small. Maybe 10-12 tables? We got there at 4PM on a Friday and it was us and 2 other tables. By the time we left at 4:45, there was a wait! We each had spicy miso ramen. I had mine with pork belly, chicken, and gyoza. My daughter had hers with chicken. The broth was very flavorful, the portions were generous and the prices were very reasonable especially for being in Vegas! The service was friendly, fast, and there were 3 people working together as a team. We are in Vegas for only 3 days and have many plans as we are here for a volleyball tournament but we are already trying to figure out if we can squeeze in one more meal here before we leave! If you love ramen like we do, try this place!

Good food cool little spot near ballys and Paris staff was super nice a little expensive but would definitely come back here again
Pass
Not very good. The service was excellent and location is convenient but the ramen was ok. Nothing special. It tasted like top ramen with veggies added and the price was way over priced. Would not come here again
If you're looking for reasonably priced Japanese-style food
If you're looking for reasonably priced Japanese-style food on the strip this is the go-to spot. First of all, this is one of the best curries I've ever had. So much flavor and the perfect ratio of meat, rice, and curry. My husband had the Beef Donburi and thoroughly enjoyed it. The spot is small but the service and food delivery were quick. It was rainy on the day we went so it wasn't packed and was the perfect cold day meal. We heard several to-go orders being placed while we were there. I would definitely come back on my next trip.
We always see this place being pretty busy but never tried
We always see this place being pretty busy but never tried until now. We went in and there was no line. There were two tables in the back open. These were tables big enough for 4 people and it was just us two. So the waiter told us to put our name on the waitlist and go wait outside. A group of 4 came and they were seated. Like what? I mean I would understand if there was a line, but there was no line. That was kind of messed up. Whatever, we waited 10mins and got seated. I ordered the Chasu Ramen Tonkotsu with spicy, which is extra $$. The broth was ok, flavor was not strong, a bit on the salty side. The chasu was very thin and small. Additionally it wasn't even spicy at all. Would I return? Probably not.

I walked in and ordered take out and was told it would be out in 5 minutes. It took 25 minutes which was really disappointing because I was misinformed. I ordered the fried pork curry and for the price, it was a good value for Vegas. A quick walk from the Horseshoe where I was staying
Convenient and Filling
This was a good meal in a small space. We came on a Friday night about 9pm and did not have an issue getting a table. The service was excellent and the portions were good. We enjoyed our meal but it was average ramen and not of the quality you can get in many West Coast cities. It was a good option for a later meal away from the chaos and sterile environment of the big casinos. A meal for two was just over $50.
The wait is long! But the food is amazing.
It worth the wait. Cozy ambiance and friendly staff
I love this place and visit almost every Vegas trip.
But friends, we gotta talk about your eggs. They're hard boiled here. A good ramen egg should be jammy! 6.5 minutes boiled, no more, no less. Everything else here is great, including the food, staff, and atmosphere, but please, on behalf of all ramen lovers, fix the eggs
One of the best ramen that I've had.
It was delicious. Staff were friendly. It's a cozy environment. I really enjoyed it
Had the Yokozuna ramen.
Didn't expect the chicken kaarage and gyoza to be placed in the broth but it was interesting. Reasonable prices for Vegas, especially an eatery on the strip. Simple ambience. Small restaurant. Convenient if you don't want to drive and you're staying nearby. Lines can get long so come early for lunch or dinner. It was interesting watching people sitting in nearby tables order, and asking for broth recommendations; not knowing the difference in taste between miso, tonkotsu, shoyu, or shio broth. If you're a newbie with ramen, always go with chashu ramen and the tonkotsu (pork) broth as your first choice unless you don't eat pork. This is a recommendation for any ramen shop you are trying for the first time. Tonkotsu broth should always be your first choice unless the ramen shop offers black garlic oil as one of their choices, which this one doesn't.
The Grand Bazaar Shops are next to the Horseshoe.
It has so many stores and eateries. We spoke to locals and tourists and they all said this place was legit. Indeed it was delicious for being on the strip. We got here 30mins after they opened and got a table immediately. The dining room is narrow. By the time we left, there was a line. Tonkotsu is their most popular but I went w shoyu pork belly chashu ramen with spice level 6. Also got karaage fried chicken curry with spice on the side. Both dishes were good. The chicken was a bit tough for me. Crispy outside but tough to the bite. The curry was fragrant and flavorful.

Be aware a 17% gratuity for parties of 4+
To be honest we were planning on eating here as it looked good. We put our name down for a table and looked at the menu. That was when we saw the mandatory gratuity, as well as specifications on how many dishes we would have to order for our party. While I understand big parties are difficult to serve and coordinate, I would think 2 couples, or a family of 4 isn’t too big a party. I’m sure the food would be great, but the mandatory gratuity feels wrong for such a small party.
This place was good.
The ramen was good. Very small inside, we waited 1 hour to be sat but was overall worth it.
Authentic and so yummy
We found this place by sheer luck last time we were in Vegas, tired of fried food thats the cure. We had the tonkosu pork broth and it was perfect flavourful and you have to be willing to wait as it is a busy spot
Would eat at again for sure.
Stopped by here due to an unexpected layover in Vegas. I had no complaints and the food was good. Service could have been a bit nicer though.
Winner! Winner!
Absolutely delicious! Great prices. We had the gyoza and spicy pork chashu ramen with a few add-ons. We’ll definitely be back to try a few of the other broths.
Ramen-Ya - fun little place on the strip
This was hidden from the strip because of the construction at the time, and that might have been a plus since we were able to come right in and sit down immediately. My son really wanted Ramen and this place didn't disappoint. Service was fast, friendly and efficient. The ramen per se was good - not great. The pork belly was excellent. The egg inside was hard boiled and the chicken and the gyoza were good, but heavy. As for the price, it was a bit pricey, but that's what you expect on the strip. Overall, I'm happy we went here and am very satisfied with the meal, but it wasn't the best Ramen in the world.
A basic bowl of ramen
This little restaurant has a few tables and the service was attentive. The menu offers a few choices and the prices are fair. The ramen bowl I tried was ok. Not special or complex - basic. I would not go back.
not great...
I found this place on here, can not believe how great the reviews are. we both had vegetarian ramen. Some of the vegetables were frozen, not fresh. The broth was fine. It took ages to come out. It was okay, but nothing compared to the ramen we eat at home.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.

Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it? |
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid? |
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted. |
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from? |
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered? |
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
Newbie sellers— how fast do your reservations sell?
I have some reservations coming up tomorrow that have gotten lots of views but haven’t sold yet. I haven’t made a sale yet since I just joined this week. I keep lowering the price, but am worried they won’t sell. How long did it take you to sell your first reservations? And did you have success being reimbursed by AT for no-show or cancellation fees? Just looking for a little reassurance. Thanks!

This app is a catfish and overrun by people programming “bots” and algorithms. It makes it frustrating for someone not well versed in this to have any movement. I thought this would be a fun side hustle, but unfortunately it’s become like any other “side hustle”. Don’t waste your time with this crap. Not a question, just a suggestion. Also don’t pay these fake “gurus” hundreds of dollars to teach you. Might as well sign up for a software class. 😕
