LES or somewhere more international?
From the free luggage lockers to the sumptuous sofas and the easy self-service everything, Public was a great weekend. Our Queen room, though small, was very comfortable and sleek. The hotel is quiet with several bars, restaurants and space to settle in for work. Although we came to play! Catch the sunset on the roof, coffee and breakfast super reasonable, filtered water and ice and great housekeeping. Location great for Bowery Ballroom, easy access to Brooklyn or shopping in SOHO. Also don’t miss Freeman’s for great bartenders and food around the corner!

Excellent Service and Food ! Our Server Ricardo made our night very special, he went above and beyond ! His recommendations were excellent ! ❤️❤️ We never had been treated like family in a restaurant with this type of gastronomy, Normally is very superficial
Be the first to ReplyLittle Joe is the best ever
Little Joe was amazing, he was so knowledgeable on every cocktail possible. He is so skilled and so charming, he’s amazing. What’s really made our stay here is little Joe service at the bar. He’s honestly amazing. I wish every bar I went to had little Joe. Love him!!! Absolute babe!!!!! He makes the best cocktails.

Ricardo was wonderful and entertaining — he loves what he does and knows the menu very well! Highly recommend for his service, friendliness and personality. Drinks were stiff and food was fresh and tasty! Happy hour is from 6-7 Sunday thru Thursday — hotel guests get 50% off the entire bill!

I had an excellent dinner with Ricardo as my server. He guided me to the best dinner - a sticky prawn dish. It was delicious. As I traveled solo - I appreciated his attentiveness to me and making sure I had a great dinner. Highly recommend dining with Ricardo.
Be the first to ReplyDANTE IS AMAZING! CANT WAIT!
Honestly, even though my stay is still not until later on, I couldn't wait to express my gratitude for Dante's incredible customer support and reservation assistance. His efforts have truly made a difference, going above and beyond to ensure my experience is nothing short of exceptional. His attention to detail and genuine care have truly made me excited for my stay at this hotel.
Be the first to ReplyBEST HOTEL!!!!
My boyfriend proposed to me on the rooftop of the Public Hotel and it was truly the most magical moment of my life. I walked in to a breathtaking set up of a winter wonderland filled with fire places, lights, an igloo, and music playing. All of the staff were incredible. They led me to my boyfriend where I found him waiting for me overlooking the most incredible skyline of NYC. Then we stayed in the penthouse, which was the most beautiful hotel room I have ever been in. It was chic, comfy, warm, and so clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and the hotel toiletries were great. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. 5+++++++ stars!!!
Be the first to ReplyIncredible Experience, Cannot Recommend More!!
The PUBLIC Hotel and their amazing staff allowed me to have the best night of my life this weekend. I proposed to my girlfriend on the incredibly scenic roof with amazing views. The sunset was perfect, and the igloos on the roof were perfectly decorated, adding a nice touch post-proposal. The staff was beyond accommodating, helping me with my every need for both the proposal and my stay at the hotel. I felt incredibly at ease during what I thought would be a high-stress moment due to the staff and their professionalism. Highly recommend the hotel for both a simple stay and hosting any type of event, you will be in great hands!!

Raven was great she was very attentive she focused on the experience. We had a great time for our little new york trip. Recommend the ceviche and lomo if they have it in season. We also recommend any of the pisco sours they are all delicious and well made.
Be the first to ReplyPublic hotel rooftop - 10/10 would come back!
Went to the rooftop bar with some friends this past weekend in New York. The most amazing views of the city! They have individual yurts that are perfect for early spring when there is a breeze or it cools off after sunset. The service was phenomenal - Destiny was very attentive and the kitchen was able to accommodate GF menu options. The braised short rib was so tender. Will certainly be back!!

Ricardo was amazing. Food was phenomenal. We had the ceviche Classico, the Aeropuerto and the bib lettuce. It was all very very good, but the company was even better. We also love the live music the bathrooms are very clean. The soap smells good. The wine recommendations were amazing the tables next to us a little bit questionable but we’re gonna have a Lotta sex tonight so we’re happy:-)

We returned to Public for the third time, and its always a pleasure to stay here. The location and ambience is one of a kind. Apollo at the reception was especially kind and went out of his way to help us!
Be the first to ReplyAmazing stay at PUBLIC Hotel!
Arriving for my first stay at PUBLIC, I was impressed by the industrial chic ambiance, which was softened by abundant plants throughout the ground floor, and great style everywhere. The check-in was easy, using an iPad, and I could even make my own room keys. My room--a corner suite--had wraparound, floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides, and the shades immediately opened when I entered the room and pushed a button on the wall. The views of downtown were one-of-a-kind. The bed was comfortable, with abundant pillows and a cozy throw blanket. I appreciated the refrigerator, which was hidden in a closet that provided abundant storage. The modern bathroom was convenient, and the shower was easy to navigate and had unlimited hot water and good pressure. I had the feeling that the room's designer took great care to include everything a traveler would need and nothing they didn't. It was an efficient room, and well-appointed. Coffee and pastries from the bar on the ground floor were excellent, and I regret I didn't have time to eat at Popular--but I plan to next time. With the 'F' train right around the corner, and easy access to Soho and Noho, I loved the convenience of the location. Highly rated hotel! PUBLIC is really thinking outside the box!

Jorge was extremely patient, understanding, helpful and went above and beyond to make mine and my family experience the most memorable and enjoyable. He even checked on us to make sure everything is going great. Fabulous. Best manager so great to work!
Be the first to ReplyHipster Hotel but nice for mom too!
I am a middle-aged mom who was traveling to help a relative move and to work. I’ll admit when I walked in the door and saw Gen Zers dressed to the nines taking instagram photos on the escalator I was 1) confused 2) convinced I must be the oldest person in the hotel by at least a decade 3) convinced I was underdressed. I checked in on the computer kiosk and proceeded up to my room. I was pleasantly surprised by the cozy, appealing and efficient guest room. Loved the platform bed next to the window with the faux fur throw. Loved the waterfall shower. I also really loved the bench seat with table which was excellent for working, relaxing and eating. I passed a very easy week here. Despite not having a traditional “front desk” I was always able to find someone to answer my questions or help me with my luggage. I got my breakfast and lunch during the week from Luis on the go Market. Pastries/juice/coffee for breakfast and pizza or a sandwich/fruit for lunch. On the ground floor they have shared workspace (not an option for me as I live on Zoom calls). Oh and regarding age… when I went downstairs to get my breakfast at 7:30-8am I saw plenty of people my age and older milling about so I did not feel alone. All in all a very nice stay and I would absolutely return!
Be the first to ReplyJeremy is the man.
Jeremy made the bar so interested. I did not have any plan to have a drink. But when I asked about the Haitian music that was playing and he actually took the time to me about other events, I could help to get a drink from him. The music was low enough to focus on you work but high enough to hear it. Thank you Jeremy again.

Be the first to ReplyExcellent Experience in a convenient location
The lack of pretension at this hotel is one of its most endearing features. I’d seen photos of the infamous escalators on social media and at first I found it so disconcerting that there were so many people milling about taking pictures working on laptops or just sitting around having coffee. But after a few days I realised that was part of the charm of the place. I had so many wonderful interactions with people in the lobby and can’t wait to come back. I didn’t even get a chance to try the restaurant downstairs but having a club in your hotel is top tier convenience. It really is a place for everyone and I felt so welcome. I came to New York to recalibrate and this hotel was the perfect base in the city. Thank you to all the staff Rob (your kind words were what I needed to hear). Apollo, Ritchie , Emily (thanks for the mojito), Masha thanks for your attentiveness and recommendations. Patrick your knowledge of New York is outstanding and your eclectic personality was contagious. Finally thank you to the assistant manager that helped me check out (George) I believe. Thank you so much! I don’t know when but I’ll be back again. Oh and the rooms are great almost cabin like with good use of space. In terms of design I loved the obsessive use of wood throughout the building. A wonderful contrast to the concrete of New York.
