Went on a Sunday brunch Food -- hit and miss.
The hand rolls were the only impressive part of the menu and everything else was just covered in grease. Note - they do not serve sushi during brunch so it was mainly a short staffed kitchen attempting traditional brunch food. Service - attentive / we were the only table there. Ambiance - nice restaurant but it was completely empty
Be the first to ReplyReally great ambiance and vibes.
Good sushi and drinks. There was a dj and it made the vibes just right. Definitely coming back here.

Their previous concept, Rebel House, was easily my favorite restaurant in boca. When they switched over to Alleycat I was bummed but excited to try this new concept from the same chef/owners. I've been a handful of times and my most recent visit was saturday for happy hour. They have happy hour daily and I love finding spots that offer weekend happy hour. The happy hour is from 4-6. We got there a little before 5. The restaurant was completely empty(they just opened at 4). The hostess asked if we had a reservation we told her no. And she started saying "oh wow we have so many reservations coming in" I said we would sit at the bar. We actually laughed all night about this because there was not a single person there inside or outside when she said this. And when we left a little after 6 there were 15 tables still open. (Yes I counted) I love sitting at the bar anyway especially at a place that has great cocktails. On the HH menu I had their spicy margarita, Moscow mule, and lychee martini. Each drink was 8. Spicy margarita was for sure my favorite but all were really delicious. Like rebel house the best way to dine here is to order a bunch of stuff to share. They have a lot of small plates and all are really delicious on their regular menu as well. Their prices can be a bit steep also. They changed their HH menu from my last visit so we tried some new stuff. Whipped tofu feta dip with chili crunch and Nan- tasty, wish we had a couple more nan pieces but it was nice KFC ( Korean friend chicken) wings- really crispy and so good. Tempura sweet potato fries with chili garlic aoili- I love sweet potato fries and I felt like tempura battering them hid their flavor. This was a miss. Hot pastrami sando- holy hell this was good. I have to say I don't even like pastrami, not even a little bit, and this was one of the best bites I've had in a long time. The pastrami is house made and really flavorful. A must order. Overall alleycat is a great spot. It's pricy so definitely a HH or date night spot. I do miss the overall vibe and ambiance of rebel house as it was just so different from everywhere else in Boca but alleycat is still cranking out the same amazing quality of food.

After watching some Instagram reels about this place I had to check it out. We were 4 people who love food and enjoyed almost everything we ordered throughly. The place isn't huge, but nicely decorated. I was a bit of a pain and asked to be moved to a different table and since they weren't so busy yet the hostess obliged and she was very nice about it. Our server was awesome. I wish I remembered her name but she's also the bartender. She made great recommendations. The cocktails were delicious. Everyone really enjoyed that. The stars of the evening were the pastrami sando on milk bread, the Caesar salad (I know crazy), crispy rice and the crab tacos. I wanted to LOVE the shrimp scampi roll but the shrimp were a tad over cooked and gave a slight chlorine taste. The veal chop katsu was also a bit overcooked but the sauce that accompanied it was great. Dessert can totally be skipped in my opinion, although the brioche donuts were great. The ube sauce was just ok. It would've been much better with a chocolate or a berry sauce. Overall, we loved it and will probably be back.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing food, drinks, and service.
The best place to go in Boca! There is good seating at the bar, which is a great place to sit with friends for eating. Outdoor seating for covid-shy people, too.

I thought this was going to be a higher end gourmet-ish restaurant. I was wrong. Granted we had dinner on New Year's Eve, but it was early and not too crowded. The service was off, with our table of eight getting their drinks and dishes all different times, and after a long wait. The servers had no idea of who was getting what. I had the wagu beef dumplings, which were okay but nothing special. The lamb yaki noodles were not for me, just a salty soy taste and no discernible lamb. One of our party said the garlic fried rice was a 5 out of 5 on hot spice, inedible. Others did like the salmon. If we return it will be for drinks and to try the sushi, but with so many other sushi restaurants in downtown Boca, I doubt we'll return.

Great food, get the octopus you will not regret it! Went a birthday party there and we all enjoyed ourselves. They had the "garage doors" open to le tin fresh air which was so nice.

I like the new AlleyCat location and the restaurant (the former Rebel House) is comfortable and inviting. Service was excellent and drinks were very good. The food though was okay - however it was the Pastrami Sando that just didn't work for me. I like Sando's and have tried them in Japan and in the U.S. and I love pastrami so I was looking forward to this. I based my opinion not on comparing this Sando to other's but on its own merits. I just couldn't figure out what it was and I understand that a Sando can be anything from egg to beef and fruit but this not decipherable and it just seemed like old tough pastrami scraps fried up and was truly disgusting. How can a restaurant serve something as vile as this? Because of the social situation I didn't say anything to the waiter and I believe if I did the waiter would have taken it back. When I got home I tried it again and it was terrible and I just trashed it. Maybe this was an anomaly and I just ordered the wrong item.
Be the first to ReplyPricey and food isn't even mediocre.
Service is poor. Gave it a chance 3 times. I'm done

First thing I need to say is WOW! My husband and I came on a Friday night @6:00pm. Got a table inside and was greeted by Megan, our server. It was a very cool vibe inside, great music and low lighting. I ordered one of the drink specials, the Catnip- delish!!! Megan gave us great suggestions on dishes to try since it was our first time. Everything we had was fresh, beautifully plated and delicious! So delicious that we returned the next night and brought our neighbors and our son. This is our new favorite place for sushi!
Be the first to ReplyThe food is amazing and unique.
I've never had such wonderful sashimi sushi rolls you name it. The only thing repeat bar no alcohol $350. Normal check. Worth it but what do you think it is very expensive.
Be the first to ReplyNothing special as a ambience and culinary experience.
Grilled short ribs dish was the most ridiculous thing I've seen in my entire life it was exactly 4 bites of ribs with tiny amount of sweet mashed potatoes for $28. It was a joke, the size of the dish and the amount of money you pay, for it. I will never go there again, overpriced and overrated.
Be the first to ReplyThis place is amazing.
I love the sushi, and the ribs. Also the pastrami sando is the best. I keep coming back and the quality is always spot on.
Be the first to ReplyExtremely overpriced for tiny portions.
Left hungry .. we had to go to Kapow and eat actual dinner. Would NOT recommend Alleycat.
Be the first to ReplyThe staff is very friendly and welcoming.
I would have to say that the omakese is not a true omakese experience rather more than just an appealing name for the selection of fish served. The scallop was very good. The king crab tacos were good but nothing I would go crazy for and come back again, the octopus was great, even tho I have been here twice now and the omakese still isn't as flavorful as I feel it should be. The price matches the quality I would have to say for this one. Not a big fan of the outdoor seating but just keep in mind space is small inside. Try to make a reservation if possible.

Overpriced mediocre service Won't be back and don't recommend as you leave half hungry
Be the first to ReplyWow!! This place is phenomenal.
Everything I ate was a 10/10! We had the brussel sprouts, garlic fried rice, wagyu beef dumplings, shrimp crispy rice, the tuna tasting, the salmon tasting, the fried chicken, the vegetable roll, the surf and turf roll, and the scallop roll.Everything was incredible! My favorites were definitely the surf and turf roll, the scallop roll, the salmon tasting, the fried rice, and the brussel sprouts. The only downside was the price, but honestly so worth it for that quality of fish. I'll definitely be back!

I've been there three times and everything on the menu was outstanding. I'm looking forward to going back there tonight with some friends. The atmosphere is cozy and sitting at the bar was an experience with very friendly staff.
