Fabulous wedding reception.
We went here for a wedding reception on 9th February. Fabulous food and impeccable service. The best food I've ever had at a wedding event. All the staff worked really hard to make this a very special day. Thank you!

This has become my favourite restaurant after visiting twice. The Menu is always changing and everything I’ve eaten had been delicious! Highly recommend
Be the first to ReplyFantastic afternoon. Yum!
Really fantastic experience. Seven of us, including 3 kids, had a long, relaxing Sunday lunch. 8 or 9 sharing plates of absolutely delicious food (especially the mangalitza pork with baked rice and quince aioli OH MY GOD IT WAS SO GOOD) left us all full and happy. The quality of all the food was very high, the service was friendly and efficient and the space and seating was attractive and comfortable. Thanks so much. Well done.

This is a very busy and lively restaurant! The shared tables were arranged brilliantly and allowed those sharing the table privacy by very a cleverly arranged flower display and seating. The staff were all, without exception, delightful in every way; engaged , helpful, knowledgeable and incredibly efficient. The food was outstanding. We couldn't recommend Primeur highly enough. Thank you for a fabulous evening.

Menu composed of small plates, simple but tasty, with an attention to food origin, seasons and sustainability. Natural wines available - the name apparently comes from them selling casks of young wines before is bottled, in the hope it matures into something delicious or just a good investment. Nice vibe in this former garage space, nicely converted, with large communal tables.
Be the first to ReplyJust don't bother. Especially if you have any sort of allergy.
Just bad. Don't go. Service is apalling. Food is average at best. They don't cater for allergens... This is a first for me. They dealt with it so badly I felt like a 3rd class citizen. Couldn't not reccomend more highly.

Poor service, waiting time and food. Awful picture of a disgusting politician to sour the day. Never again.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing Amazing Amazing more😋😋😋!!
We had previously visited Primeur and loved the food and restaurant so much we booked for 13 of us for a special occasion. The food, staff and ambiance were incredible. The staff helped us choose delicious wine which paired perfectly with the food and could not do enough to help. The starters were amazing and then we had a show stopper Lamb for main (veggie alternative was also provided) and an enormous Pavlova to share for desert, which we are all still dreaming about. All our guest said how incredible the food was and that they would be back. I would not hesitate to recommend the restaurant and make a big shout out to the Primeur team for making our meal so special!

Dishes change every day but extremely limited and expensive for what it is. Seating is on tables with other couples or against the wall. It’s definitely a place that’s very different and maybe appeals to millennials with huge amount of spare cash. If that’s not you, go a little further to Stoke newington and enjoy an array of reasonably priced and gorgeous food

A winters evening booked for a table for 6 with a wheelchair and they put us by the door ( no alternative possible despite request) which was constantly opening and unable to close properly. Oh well lets get some drinks. No Coke, fanta sprite or coffee.
The menu was limited with 3 mains and 2 desserts. The staff were attentive but the portions were ok but small for the price. Alittle monfk fish £32. £2 per mini croquet.
£265 for 6 may not seem excessive but I luckily filled up with bread and butter
Average to below average food & overpriced
Visited for the first time after many recommendations. We were very excited for our food but unfortunately it didn’t hit the spot.
The food was average at best. Bland and unoriginal. We love the idea of small plate sharers but these were tiny plates that were underwhelming and overpriced. The wine was not great either, again another great expectation that didn’t hit the mark.
We had one dish we really enjoyed, the caramelised onion on toast (!) but that was it.
I really hate to say this but the restaurant is pure hype. It looks like the place to be but fails to deliver. Disappointing all round.
The saving grace was the service. We had a lovely waiter who knew the menu and was very nice and accommodating. We tipped for the service only!
Food needs massive improvement. Would not recommend sadly.
Ok food with a very rude waitress
We had fabulous service from our waiter for the majority of the night. The food was tasty but expensive for what it is and very few options for vegetarians.
The bill came to just under £150 with the standard 12.5% 'optional' service charge added. My party of three made a quick calculation to split the cost. The waitress who took the payments said we were down 56p. I casually said, 'Oh, we rounded down when we worked it out as isn't the £15 service charge optional'. She was incredibly rude and said 'well it is optional but it is nice to support people who give you a nice night'. It was incredibly awkward and she stormed off.
I would not return, especially after paying the £15 optional tip to be spoken to with such an attitude over 56p was pretty surprising.
Delicious small plates
Dined here with my son for a belated Father’s Day celebration. We had the spelt, tongue, ricotta, scallops, lamb and sticky toffee pudding. All were tasty and beautifully presented. Only criticism of the place was that we had a booking for 8pm and the waitress was trying to hurry us up to flip the table at 9:45pm. We couldn’t help that the service meant that our dishes hadn’t arrived.
Be the first to ReplyAlways excellent
If you like low lighting and an eclectic wine list and menu, then this is the place for you! We've been here three times and every time it's been really fantastic — not sure what all the bad review are moaning about. It can get a bit cramped on super-busy nights so probably not suitable for people who like their space, but if you're into a funky communal dining vibe, you should check it out!

We ate here a couple years ago and it was quite good so we came back last weekend. They had all the tables sat at the same time and it was a set menu, which is fine, however it meant we were on everyone else's agenda in terms of speed of the courses etc. The food itself was not great - there was no real theme to the dishes. The 'snack' was some fried bread with an aubergine dip which was just average. The starter was a sardine and some apples in some creamy sauce, kind of bizarre and bland. The main was lamb with some moroccan cous cous, however it was served almost cold - probably because they were mass preparing for everyone in the restaurant - and also served with a pretty dull knife as well so hard to cut. The flavours were very 'ok' but nothing too exciting. When we mentioned to our server that i was cold she just got awkward and didn't apologise or do anything. Finally the dessert was some weird bun which honestly looked like a sainsbury's hot cross bun soaked in rum and served with cream with a few sultanas on top. The meal came to £200 with our bottle of wine for 3 people - all of us were left super disappointed and felt ripped off to be perfectly honest. Will not be keen to return.

Don’t fall into the trap we did of thinking the bad reviews here about pretentiousness and price are just written by people who were surprised by having to pay a lot. We love good restaurants and are happy to pay a lot for exceptional food.
The food here is truly terrible and the wine should be illegal...
The concept of a new menu every night sounds great. Reality is it ends up tasting like un-practiced freezer use-up. Will never go back.
pretentious and overpriced
Very disappointed , four of us squashed onto a table for two , knocking elbows with neighbours. Champagne served too warm and told they had no ice buckets. Food was ok a little average but tiny portions and overpriced for what it was. Clams disappointing but the Brill was good . The waiting staff were very pleasant though .
Be the first to ReplyGreat Date Night - Unique Menu and Flavors!
Intimate dining with great wait staff! The menu changes constantly but always has interesting items and great variety. Our favorite dishes were the carrots, pumpkin, and Lamb pasta! Candlelit evening with great ambient light above. The seating is not like most restaurants (my wife and I were sitting next to each other versus at a table), but it only adds to the intimacy. Highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyVisiting Family
My son booked this restaurant as we were down visiting. There were six of us dining with our respective partners. It sounded interesting being situated in an old garage premises. Very much a stripped back decor with benches and utility seats. We decided to try the majority of the taster style menu which came to about 12/13 small plates. Each I have to admit we’re enjoyable, the ingredients freshly cooked, our favourites we ordered more, unfortunately the haddock dish wasn’t quite the same when it came with cod as they’d run out of the former. I did order the cheese platter separately but was slightly underwhelmed by the variety and portion size. We did order a number of recommended bottles of wine all of which we drank thirstily. The evening was most enjoyable, the staff just sufficiently attentive and would recommend to anyone who hasn’t been before. The only downside and the reason I didn’t give it five stars was I felt it was overpriced for what was served.
