Great staff, comfortable room
Tina and her team are fantastic. I arrived late with a group of 34. They were so helpful and did a great job making us feel welcome. The food was great. The rooms clean and comfortable. Oban is a lovely town and the hotel is well situated. Definitely recommend them.

Hotel was okay parking issue although we did get a space eventually. Bed comfy but room very stuffy so got very little sleep making the day ahead drive very tiring, why you can't open a window even a little baffles me as fan noisey and keeps you awake.
Be the first to ReplyNoisy guests
Guests in the room above us were so noisy that it totally spoiled one night of my stay. Unruly kids allowed to jump up and down play with a ball and what sounded like jumping on and off bed . This went on fully during the evening until late then re started at 6.30 Sunday morning .spoke to staff member the next day who advised making a complaint whilst it was happening which was obviously to late

Great hotel, located very close to the ferry terminal and railway station. 5 min walk into the main town and harbour. Check in was easy and rooms clean and tidy. Nice comfy bed. Ate an evening meal in the restaurant. Food was lovely and service from Pamela and Tina was great. Highly recommend this hotel when staying in Oban or needing to catch an early ferry.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Premier Inn in Oban, and what made it special was the kindness and attention of all the staff. What lovely people they were! We were made very welcome and knew that if anything wasn't to our satisfaction, we would not hesitate to approach anyone for help. It may not be fair to single out any one person, but here goes - Brigi could not have been kinder in such a naturally friendly way. Thank you to everyone who made our stay a real pleasure. David and Marjorie Kelman.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent location and great value for money
A great location, right in the heart of Oban and adjacent to the railway station and the ferry terminal. Modern, clean and what you expect from a PI and excellent value for money. There are great restaurants within a few minutes walk along with coffee shops and lunchtime fish-stalls. Highly recommended and would go back in an instant.
Be the first to ReplyOverall Very Good
One of the better Premier Inns I have stayed in. I stayed for 3 nights over the weekend paddle steamer Waverley was sailing from Oban, which was the reason for my visit. Unfortunately this meant the cost of the room was higher than I'd usually pay for a Premier Inn, however this was understandable. The location is perfect - close to the railway station, bus stops and ferry terminal. It was a very short walk to the North Pier to catch Waverley. I had to request maid service each day, but the service received was to a very high standard. Staff were helpful and friendly. I was disappointed not to get a sea view room. I had attempted to call the hotel a couple of times to ask for this, but each time it rang out. When I checked in they said I should email in future to request this. The receptionist did his very best to move me to a room with a sea view when I checked in, however they were very busy and nothing was available. I only had breakfast once, and it was quite mediocre. The orange juice was not fresh - it was something akin to Sunny Delight, which was quite a let down. There is a cafe very close to the hotel which offers a far superior breakfast at a similar price. However if you are in a hurry it is okay. I will definitely return here, and overall I found it to be very good.

Excellent stay at this premier inn. Location great for town, trains and ferries. Hotel is lovely and new inside, our room looked out to bay. Staff were really friendly and helpful, thank you Tania and Tina. Restaurant food was beautifully prepared, best thyme menu food experience ever had at premier. Perfect stay.

The hotel is run by a very helpful, efficient and friendly staff. They really try their best to make their guest to feel Comfortable. The food is excellent and good value. Their calamari and steak are number 1 for me. If you going to Oban, Premier Inn is a great choice.

I haven’t even checked in yet and it’s already a one star rating from me. I booked the night before last. I spent all day and I mean all frickin day trying to call to find out if I can check in early. Rang out. I eventually rang Glasgow who answered in 2 rings - the manager apologised and stated I’m not the first person to say this about Oban. I am beyond flabbergasted that for £198 you don’t have the damn decency to answer the phone. I rang the bell twice this morning no one came to desk. I heard staff chatting in the restaurant so I went to see if someone could come to the desk. A housekeeper came and eventually handed me over to a gentleman by the name of Hannas I think. The phone began to ring and I said so are you just going to ignore that phone call? He said they are not always able to answer the phone as they prioritise guests … erm what the hell am I then???? The absolute cheek of it all. The poor person who was trying to call will more than likely have not been answered. Absolute disgrace for 198 quid.

The hotel is next to the ferry terminal which makes it a super location. Parking was easy and self check in only took 5 mins.
Be the first to ReplyClean, comfy, central
We stayed in a ‘superior’ room, and it was very nice. Roomy, comfy chair, desk, mini fridge with water, view of the harbour. The hotel is very central and has free parking, which is great in Oban on a busy bank holiday weekend. Friendly staff. You have to ask to have your room cleaned. We didn’t bother and just picked extra water etc from housekeeping. Breakfast is a bit average but convenient. Would stay again.
Be the first to ReplyPerfect stay for a short break before Mull
Beautiful stay. We went for one night the day before travelling to Mull. The staff were so welcoming. Beautifully welcoming in fact. A lovely lovely Ukrainian lady cleaning the rooms gave our daughter a home made babushka gift and she is still holding onto it. We hope this review gets back to her. Lovely comfy beds and rooms. Beautiful food and perfect service. Thank you so much

We've stayed 3 times a year since this beautiful hotel opened apart from being unable to go during COVID and we've always had a superb visit due to the comfort and cleanliness of the spacious rooms and the care of excellent staff. Maree makes sure the rooms are sparkling clean and fresh and the efficient and cheerful duty manager Tina is on hand to help us if needs be, where nothing is a problem for her. It's a great pleasure to keep returning to the hotel because of the warmth and the kind welcome we always receive and it's suitability for my wheelchair is an added bonus. We look forward to our further two visits this year absolutely because of the staff members. In the bar for a drink we met Tania who greeted us with a friendly smile and served up our draught beers perfectly, in our opinion she is a good addition to the hotel team because of her efficiency and she has a very congenial personality. We also met Luca on reception who raised his head with a smile on his face the moment we approached the desk, now that's what makes this hotel special.

Enjoyed my stay, only down side was no walk in shower, no other problems love Oban, the other plus is this hotel has parking just take your luggage right in the back door straight to reception no stairs, then the lift straight to the room.It is right next to the centre 5 minutes walk to the pier if you want to visit the Isles.

We booked and paid for a Premier Plus room with breakfast online so when we arrived in the late afternoon it was quick and easy to check in. The room was spotless thanks to Melissa and very comfortable and also quiet.
Be the first to ReplyClean, dependable and friendly
The Premier Inn is great if you want to know exactly what you’re getting. The rooms are clean and there’s always good water pressure for a hot shower. The staff are friendly and helpful, breakfast is great value and the Oban Premier Inn close to the ferry terminal.

Great location, spotlessly clean, friendly staff, comfortable bed and lovely breakfast. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if the price was right. I booked in October for a two night stay at the beginning of March and paid £50 a night for the room. I recently checked the prices for the remainder of March and the price has tripled. There is no way I’d pay this amount.
Be the first to ReplyCentral Location with Harbour Glimpses
Enjoyed our three night stay at the Premier Inn Oban, at the beginning of March. Location is super-central, next to the train station, ferry port and with a decent sized car park for those who drive – however there appear to be no charge points if you’re an EV owner. But given the amount of electric cars we saw, there must be a fair few around the town. Our room – 215 – on the second floor, faced the ferry port. So nice views, with harbour glimpses. The triple glazing meant that noise from outside, and arriving and departing trains was minimal. So much so, that the strange gurgling sounds made by the room’s air conditioning unit was more disturbing than anything else. We quickly fixed that problem by turning the unit off. We didn’t bother having our room serviced during our stay. There’s a table in reception with additional tea, coffee, sugar etc., if you need it. We opted for Premier Inn’s Meal Deal - breakfast and a two course evening meal. It’s good value, and is perfect when your hotel is remote. However, on this trip we felt that we should’ve supported local restaurants more, and gone out to eat in the evening. Everywhere is an easy walk. Plus I doubt the hotel restaurant gets too busy at this time of year, so we could’ve used it as a backup if we were unable to get a table anywhere else. In addition we would have liked to have relaxed in the hotel bar a little, after our evening meal. However there is very limited soft seating. And what there is, is huge and takes up a considerable amount of space. As a result you’re left sitting at your dining table. I have no problem with this if the seats are comfortable, but most seats I sat on weren’t. All members of staff, that we came into contact with, were friendly and chatty. Early on Saturday evening, I noted that local youngsters seem use the hotel’s gender-neutral toilets, on the ground floor, as their public convenience. I think I would have felt very uncomfortable if I’d wandered in there by myself, and been confronted by a group of young girls. Something for Premier Inn and their staff to keep an eye on perhaps. In summary a smashing venue for a weekend away, and I’d certainly consider it again for future trips to that part of my country.

In Oban for two days of meetings for the first time post-pandemic, I was delighted to be able to stay in a Premier Inn because of the consistent standard I have found across the brand. It made all the difference to have a properly equipped en-suite with standard fittings and a decent bed.

Excellent stay, room was very comfortable and breakfast excellent. The staff were ever so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you particularly the receptionist at checkin was very helpful with providing all the information about local area. We had Premium room overlooking the sea. Will definitely be back.

I have stayed in Premier Inn few times. Always like to come back to this hotel. Staff is very polite and helpful. Rooms are clean, fairly spacious with comfortable bed. Good breakfast and dinner also. Only negative thing I would say is wi-fi it can be unreliable from time to time. Overall happy to stay everytime.
Be the first to ReplyFirst time in premier inn Oban
We visit Oban twice a year and always stay in the seafront hotels, we opted for premier inn to see what it was like, big bonus on arriving is a free car park, Oban we found in the past can be expensive for parking so this was very welcomed. Staff were friendly and accommodating, thank you to Melissa our housekeeper who had cleaned our room prior to arrival, super clean, and also gave us a top up of tea and coffee and clean towels for our next day stay. Breakfast is plentiful here with all you can eat buffet, it’s advised on check in to book your table as it can be busy. We will be back, thank you for a wonderful stay.
