The location and decor are great but the food is not up to the price charged. Still, this is one of your only real choices for a pre-show dinner in Balboa Park. I'd call staff a bit extra-friendly (definitely a strict script here), but at least

Unfortunately, Prado is no longer what it used to be.
We were very disappointed with the tacos from happy hour -- they looked and tasted more like store-bought taquitos than fresh food. The quality has dropped significantly. The name still carries weight, but the food no longer lives up to it. It's

An Incredible Lunch Enjoyed By All Ages! Friendly Staff And Delicious Everything!
We had an incredible lunch! After a morning at the Zoo, which is amazing as well, two families with four kids ranging in age from 7-12 had a wonderful time. The staff was incredibly friendly and the food was delicious. So fresh and top quality!
Unprofessional
Ate here for lunch. Environment is lovely outdoors. Ordered the calamari. Not bad. Also ordered the chicken blt sandwich. The chicken was burned and very dry. I politely let the waitress know. She went to tell the manger. The manager arrived
It was just ok.
I would say the food overall was just okay. The salsa wasnt too good. We both had the Fish Tacos and they were ok. The Happy Hour margarita was very good, but the Sangria was watered down. The Dairy Free Pina Colada Creme Brulee was very good. t

Excellent Choice
Definitely the best restaurant we found in San Diego this trip. It was convenient since we were looking around Balboa Park. Nice looking plus good food. We came in between lunch and dinner, so there wasn’t a problem being seated.
Out of control prices are insulting
To begin, until last night, The Prado had been my absolute favorite, go-to restaurant for any special occasion since its opening. My husband and I have come here for anniversaries, birthdays, entertaining out of town guests, and during the holidays.
Excellent humus
We went here for lunch before spending the afternoon at the museums. Had a paella split for two and a pressed arugula salad. The appetizer was brought out at the same time as the rest of the meal. The paella was good, but underseasoned. Arugala wa

Great service and good food! We went around 2pm (so after the lunch crowd rush), and it was super easy to get a table and it was a great view! Parking was also nearby at the Spreckels Organ Pavilion parking lot.

Service and food - amazing! Luis and Andre did great at the bar. The potato and leek soup they recommended was to die for! The prime rib sushi was good, but would be better if they had wasabi and ginger. Love this place.
Very touristy so the food isn't greeeat, just okay.
The patio ambiance is very nice though, especially when there's music at the organ pavilion. Our server Jenny on the back patio is a true delight and very friendly. I feel like their menu could use a bit of an update but overall it's a nice spot.

Expensive for cheap food
Way too expensive and they charge additional for the supposedly increased salaries for the waiters! We ordered a Cesar salad for $ 14 which was 6 leaves (not cut) lettuce and few crotons!

AT benachrichtigt dann erfahrene Nutzer, die helfen könnten.
Schritt-für-Schritt-Anleitung
