Cool space with chill vibes, service was really good and the food was pretty good for the most part too. Endive salad! was great, salt pepper chicken was really tasty! but it felt like a lot of breading and not enough chicken, and the rice roll noodles with hanger steak was kind of underwhelming! I personally would have liked more meat, and maybe a bit of spiciness, We got the pineapple soft serve for dessert! and it was amazing!

We had a dinner reservation on a weekday evening - this place gets pretty busy so definitely try to snag a reservation, but they do have bar seating for walk-ins. As other reviews have mentioned, they outdid themselves with the decor, and I especially liked the movie wall by the entrance. We ordered the braised short ribs and eggplant. They were both good and the ribs were tender, but I almost found them to be too salty/savory, though it may just be because I've gotten too used to Korean braised ribs, which are usually sweet (my friend was a huge fan of both dishes!). I wish we tried one of their chicken dishes, but the ribs and eggplant were just the right amount of food for two people! As an aside, their white rice was also weirdly really good - I'm not a rice connoisseur by any means but for some reason I was a huge fan. Overall this place is good and worth checking out, but it's not mind-blowing and it's definitely on the pricer side.
Be the first to ReplyI walked in without a reservation.
I sat by the chef's table, basically looking into the kitchen, and it was fun to watch the chef preparing the food. everything I ordered was good. My favorite is fried chicken. I see why everybody hype about it. The service was very good. They constantly come over asked if we need anything.
Be the first to ReplyBetter than expected.
To me it was Chinese food with American fusion. The oyster mushroom noodle with beef was most memorable. The fried chicken was OK, I think Popeyes is tastier, not much Asian about it. Nice ambiance, 1989s with Bruce Lee. Portions could be larger. Service was friendly with a smile. Hip place with above average food.

Such a delicious restaurant with decor wildly reminiscent of my childhood favorites. You'll find 90s themed Asian inspiration spread throughout the restaurant. At the very back of the restaurant, it'll also be hard to not notice the chefs woking them woks #fire. The menu was pricy, but definitely worth trying IMO. I had the oyster mushroom rice roll noodles with steak and the wok hei on the rice noodles was impressive. There was a nice amount of char and a generous amount of steak. I always love ordering rice noodle dishes because it's hard to not get it to stick when you're cooking it at home haha. We also ordered salt and pepper chicken with biscuits, the pork + chive as well as the woodear potstickers and braised short ribs. The dumplings were good, but hard to beat nearby competition in chinatown. The biscuits were not too dense, buttery, and an absolute must try with the jam. There is an innovative beer selection that covers unique asian flavors (tentatively expanding). Although the dishes are not extraordinarily unique, the flair and execution makes coming here a nice treat.

Came here for dinner on a weekday evening and it was quite busy. The restaurant has quite large serving sizes, which is nice, but is on the more expensive side for Chinese fusion. We ordered the: - Oyster mushroom rice roll noodles (9/10) - Chewy with a great flavor - Tiger shrimp w/ candied walnuts (9/10) - Absolutely loved the crisp that the walnuts gave and the shrimp was breaded well without being soggy - Crispy drunken chicken w/ shrimp chips (6/10) - Not sure what part was crisp here since it seemed more like poached chicken with shallots. I really liked the shrimp chips portion of this dish though. I really liked the decor of the restaurant, as you can tell that they put in a lot of effort with the movie signs, entrance hut, and the vending machine with the fortune cookies at the bottom. They have a separate brunch menu that is offered only on weekends.
Be the first to ReplyThis was such a fun brunch experience.
It is a tight menu full of stars. We really loved the chow mein -- which we also saw every other table order. We also shared the hong kong french toast and the pork sandwhich. It was probably a bit too much food for two people but we just wanted to try so many things! We also loved the decor. It felt hip and young, but also rooted in chinese culture. My boyfriend kept talking about how the fake vending machine items reminded him of his childhood. Looking forward to coming back!

Chinese inspired brunch! That salted egg yolk toast should be crown the Golden Toast The food came out so quickly, service was on point and the decor was so cute. Worth checking this out!
Be the first to ReplyOrdered a variety of items from the brunch menu.
To start, the coffee milk tea is amazing! I mean, what a brilliant idea mixing two great drinks - milk tea and coffee.. The bolo Bao French toast was my favorite thing we ordered. Basically a thick crispy piece of toast filled with sweet custardy goodness. So decadent and rich, thank goodness we shared it amongst 3 people! The karaoke fries were just okay (which I found surprising because I love fries in general). I thought these had way too much sauce on them (although the sauce did taste quite good - kind of like a red curry sauce) - but the amount of sauce just made the whole thing come together as a soup rather than crispy fries. The shrimp fritters were pretty good - crispy, packed with shrimp, and went quite well with the cilantro aioli. I didnt love the Hong Kong French toast. The texture of the bread was almost too chewy/sticky, just too rich overall and not my favorite. The pork belly sandwich was also pretty good. Not much more than egg and pork belly - could've used something more to give it a little bit of crunch but at least the pork belly was well cooked and flavored. Overall a great place to try for some unique twists and tastes.

We ordered the entire menu and every single dish was delicious! Short ribs so tender, fried chicken crispy, nicely battered, shrimps slightly spicy, curry tofu very flavorful and more! did not have one favorite because they were all amazing! Spacious, cool decor, wonderful vibe and a great service team. Highly recommended!
Be the first to ReplyIncredible spot.
Every single thing we ordered - drinks / apps / entrées / dessert was absolutely delicious. I HIGHLY recommend getting one of the mocktails as they were super refreshing and not too sweet! We shared the endive salad and it was the perfect app to get us started. Crunchy, flavorful, and light. We then shared the oyster mushroom noodles, fried chicken, walnut shrimp, and fried rice and they were all incredible. FYI the shrimp and chicken were both heavy due to the breading, but the flavor was amazing on both. The chicken and the fried rice were my personal winners! The vibe of the place is open and inviting, and the staff was super nice. It's brightly lit up and has a bit of a escalated-diner vibe. My only advice is to allot a good amount of time for your meal as the service could be a bit slow at times, and also book a reservation ahead of time!
Be the first to ReplyVery trendy and popping, vibes were great.
But food was pretty average, they have some good in on the menu but nothing tasted all that much beyond average. Would recommend going at least once for the experience, but idk if I'd go again

Vibes and aesthetic were great and perfect for grabbing dinner with friends. The plates were all shareable and got a variety for our table. Food was good, nothing stood out. We got the - potstickers (which were our least favorite)- salt and pepper chicken (was our favorite, the pepper jam and biscuits were a great flavor combo) - rice rolls with steak (these were also really good and flavorful) - spicy eggplant (was more sweet than spicy)
Be the first to ReplyThis was really excellent.
We went with a group of four and ordered most of the menu: potstickers, tiger shrimp, salt & pepper chicken, short ribs, fried rice, rice noodles + steak, snow pea shoots, and pineapple soft serve for dessert. Every single item was great, with the biggest star (and thing I'll be thinking about until next time we come) was the rice noodles with mushroom and hangar steak, which is worth the visit on its own. Of the others, I'd probably try the eggplant over the snow pea shoots next time, and might actually skip the short ribs, which was the only dish that wasn't as otherwordly as I expected. I'd also consider skipping dessert next time, only because there's such amazing dessert at other places in that neighborhood. The chicken, shrimp, potstickers, and fried rice are all very strong re-order candidates.

Be the first to ReplyInteresting themy spot in LES.
The space is huge and the layout provides different dining experience which is fun.Friendly staffs. No liquor nor cocktails, but serving wine.We only tried 2 dishes -*Mushroom Rice Roll Stir Fry - pretty good. Wish there's more crispy parts of the rice roll or more vegetable.*Crispy Drunken Chicken - I'm not a chicken fan but this is executed pretty well. Slightly salty but good for sharing.Menu is small but I guess they tried to perfect each dish. Most likely I'll visit back!
Be the first to ReplyReally loved the vibes at this restaurant.
It's bright, well decorated, and feels very upbeat. The service was also good. The menu is small, and as a group of 6, we were able to try almost everything. Endive salad (4/5) Pretty expensive for a salad with no meat, but it was very aesthetically pleasing. Flavor was decent, but nothing amazing. Salt and pepper chicken with scallion biscuits (5/5)This dish was very solid. The chicken was very juicy, and the breading was super crispy and flavorful. It also went really well with the chili plum jam, which added a touch of sweetness. I liked the scallion biscuits, although felt they were a little heavy and slightly doughy.XO fried rice (5/5)Personally really liked this dish, although other people at the table thought it was underwhelming. I thought it had a really great umami, Smokey flavor and loved the balance with the sweetness of the corn and Chinese sausage. Oyster mushroom rice roll noodles (5/5)Waiter said this was his favorite dish, and I can definitely see why. The rice rolls were fresh and chewy, and perfectly coated in the sweet and savory sauce. Mushrooms were well cooked, and we also added the steak, which was nice and tender as well. Tiger shrimp with walnuts (4/5)I thought this one was a little overpriced, since it only came with 6 shrimp, although each shrimp was pretty big. I personally prefer the more traditional honey walnut shrimp to this version, which was less sweet, less saucy, and more spicy, although other people at my table really liked this.Crispy drunken chicken with shrimp chips (3/5)Definitely our least favorite entrée. The chicken was a little bland and didn't feel like anything special. The shrimp chips were also a little confusing since they didn't really seem to go with the chicken. Spicy eggplant (3/5)Didn't really like this one either. Traditional Chinese Yu Xiang style eggplant (鱼香茄子) is much better imo. This one was pretty bland and a little too oily. Overall, most of the dishes were pretty solid and worth a try. Definitely an interesting departure from traditional Chinese/asian food, although some were underwhelming. It's on the pricier side for Asian food, although you're also paying for the ambiance and vibes.

Came here for brunch finally! My partner and I were so excited to try. First off, coming in the place is so inviting, great ambience, amazing playlist of early 2000s hits if that's your jam (was mine). Staff was so helpful / friendly / attentive. Made the experience so amazing right off the bat. Now for the food:Drinks: 9/10sake cocktail - was a little sweet but SO REFRESHING. would absolutely get again as it was balanced and went perfectly with our meal. French toast: 10/10 this was just pure heaven. The toast was just crispy enough on the edges and SO soft in the middle with the yolk surprise. The condensed milk wasn't too much at all. Overall if you're looking for a sweet treat - THIS IS IT chicken sandwich: 9/10 SO crispy and juicy when you bite into it. The aioli is such a nice touch with the peppery arugula. To make this 10/10 though I added their Chili oil and made it chefs kiss Chow mein 9/10: noodles were crispy on some areas, flavorful, the meat was at some points too overcooked for me but wasn't a huge deal breaker. The overall flavor with the grilled green onions was honestly my favorite and no need for the meat. To make even better recommend putting the chili oil! Am absolutely coming back for the service, vibes, and food. Can't wait to try for dinner!

Came here with high expectations as I've seen and heard the hype. The food was mediocre... but the service and ambiance were great. There was a lot of aesthetic throughout... almost experiential. The service was great, they were prompt and attentive and all worked together instead of one server per table. The food is the most disappointing. The pot stickers and salt and pepper chicken with scallion biscuits is the only thing I'd get from here again... if I ever came back. The short rib was very disappointing.. the squash was dry and there was virtually no sauce in the dish. The oyster mushrooms were really unique and good - think of individual strands of drunken noodles rolled up.... It eventually did get boring and heavy that's why I didn't include it up there with the re-ordered stuff. And my boyfriend got a fried rice to go and he said it was unique... he can't necessarily say it was good or bad.... He emphasized on how it's different.

This Cantonese inspired restaurant is super nostalgic of our childhood but in a more upscale and upgraded version. It's a set menu, and it's pricy, but the value is really good, in my opinion, since there's so much variety. I loved every single dish that was placed infront of my face. I loved the vibe, and I loved the atmosphere. The transparent kitchen concept and the whole layout are so nice. We were there for a birthday party and it was so much fun. I would definitely go back. Service is amazing, but there is a time limit to how long you can stay.
