Port Marina and Restaurant Cape May Reviews
Best new spot in the Cape!
We ate outside on the beautiful pier! It’s so beautiful. Atmosphere was amazing. Drinks were delicious. We had sushi which was amazing. I had the shrimp tacos very good. My husband had a smash burger also very good!! Definitely coming back, can’t wait to try inside!!
Oyster Special?
Recently went for their highly promoted afternoon $1 oysters. The oysters were barely larger than a quarter. Too many places in the area are offering the same special with decent sized oysters that also taste wonderful! Very disappointed.
Fabulous, Unique, Great Ambiance, Delicious Too
First time here since 2 years ago when place was Harbor View (i think). Food was unique, excellent, delicious, wonderful view of marina! People are friendly and very helpful. Food was delicious and gourmet. Happily enough the small plates were substantial. Had fried sea bass, grilled oysters, special mushrooms, salad. Several of these were small dishes- but ample enough to fulfill appetite
A Happy Surprise!
I had been avoiding The Port this summer season because of the bad reviews. We snuck in today because it was a beautiful day at the end of September. I'm not sure when they will close up the outside bar, but I am so glad we stopped by. I love every single renovation they have done from the old Harborview days. They did a fabulous job. Most complaints are about the pricing and that is not fair because most places here at the Jersey Shore are charging a fortune. It is just the times we live in. The whole restaurant and bar area were packed so I'm guessing folks are starting to realize this is a great place. We sat at the bar and service was fantastic. Thank you Susan!! We split the chowder and an order of scallops. Amazing. We were so glad we didn't let the entire summer go by without giving the Port a try. We look forward to next year already.
Avoid drinking here $$$$
We stopped in for drinks on the back deck, they were horrible, the bartender had no idea what he was doing and should’ve been behind the bar, the drinks were over poured to the point that they were undrinkable and he barely spoke English and couldn’t even understand English, and very overpriced for a drink $22. For a rum runner that was mostly ice , is crazy
Waterfront Dining in Cape May
The Port has a wonderful view of the Cape May Harbor. The facility has ample outdoor seating and large bar. Indoor dining is also available. The service was excellent. It is obviously well managed. The menu leans heavily towards seafood, although they had awesome looking smash burgers and a typical kid's menu. We both had the lobster roll which was served with french fries and a home-made aioli. The food was excellent. The only caveat is that a few of the drinks were priced outlandishly. A Glenlivet 12 on the rocks was priced at $40.00! The other drinks were priced within the normal range for an establishment of this type. It is worth trying , but check drink prices before ordering.
Atmosphere
spot was beautiful, an amazing vibe amazing view, great music playing!! we we’re excited and satisfied until we got our server … always had to call them over never came to check on us… charged us for something we never got, kind of disappointed us a little but other than that everything else was perfect! Getting drinks at the bar while we waited to be seated was beautiful bartenders were much more busier yet very much more attentive than our server
Victoria is the BEST waitress ever !!!
Had an amazing time! Great food and drinks, and the best waitress we’ve collectively had as a group. Victoria went above and beyond, she was absolutely AMAZING. So funny, super quick and accommodating for our large group. If you can, ask for her!!!
Excellent lunch on the harbor
First time at the newly reopened restaurant. Loved the new furniture and plexiglass around the bar, great view. Food was very good, the black bass fish sandwich was very good and the sushi was great, so glad you retained that. Loved having a plexiglass wineglass vs. the old plastic cups. I would just tone down the techno music a bit, maybe a little soft tropical jazz… like Dave Samuels Del Sol or Andy Narrell and not soooo loud. This was lunchtime.
Pleasantly surprised
We were very impressed by Port. My kids wanted to go because they saw it on social media so I went in with a kind of negative mindset but was pleasantly surprised. First, I advise going early. We got there around 5:20 and didn’t have to wait but by the time we left it was packed. I was concerned about the limited menu but they let you order ‘share’ options for entrees so it was not an issue. We were all very impressed by our meals. I got the crab cakes and they were the best I have had in Cape May in a while. We will definitely recommend to others. Great atmosphere and food.
