PJ's BAR-B-QSA Saratoga Springs Reviews from The Last Year

This place used to be great , those days are gone !! Everything was burned and dry as a bone . Expensive and not enjoyable. I guess they don't care anymore !

Some of the best food I've had in a while! The service was great. The ambiance is that of a good BBQ joint. The owner helped us with picking out the food. I would definitely eat here again
Very good bbq and even better sauces( I'm a sauce girlie).
We tried about every side they had and really enjoyed ourselves as a large group. We sat outside on their benches and it was mostly self serve which is efficient with such a large group.

This time I planned on coming here because they're open on a Sunday and it's amazing. I wanted to meet relatives halfway and this was perfect. It did not disappoint! We got ribs, burnt ends, Mac n cheese, baked beans (woo! Spicy!). Not a long wait, nice relaxed atmosphere, crayons for the kids, lots of sauces to choose from. Nice Sunday spot! It's a big restaurant with plenty of seating. Place your order. Choose your spot! Enjoy the best BBQ!
Food: dry.
small portions. over priced. Not worth the hype or the visit. Drove past many times. Will continue to do so. nasty. Service: ok Ambiance: ok
Years ago, we enjoyed going to PJ's.
Our last visit was disappointing. The portion size has shrunk drastically, yet the prices have jumped. Service was average, and the ambiance was somewhat low. Sadly, the quality/ value just isn't there anymore. We shall not be back.
Spectacular Barbecue food.
Date of visit: Saturday July 8th Fantastic Barbecue restaurant. We ordered Brisket & Turkey Meal platters which come with cornbread, and 2 sides. We tried 4 different sides to try and get a well rounded idea of how they do BBQ here. We had the mac & cheese, Cheesy Grits, cream corn & Fried Okra. The meats are perfectly smoked and well flavoured. The meat is tender and juicy. The sides are very tasty, and while they come in small containers, the containers are misleading. The flavours are on point, and everything was absolutely delightful. We also had the jalapeno hushbpuppies as an appetizer – and they were so good and addictive. The restaurant offers different dining options – you can line up for a take out meal – that you can eat on their outdoor patio, or you can wait for indoor dining. The third option is to sit in the bar. We ate in the bar, and did not have to wait at all, and the service was amazing. The bartender was all alone, and she not only served every dining patron, but also every drinking patron, plus had to make and serve drinks for the patio patrons. She did all of this competently, and without ever losing her cool and always remaining calm – even though she was clearly very busy. The prices are very reasonable. Our full meal including drinks and app was only $65. They offer 6 different house made barbecue sauces that made the meal even more enjoyable. We tried all of them multiple times through the meal and each one was amazing. We eat at a lot of Barbecue restaurants around Canada and The USA when we travel and I would highly recommend visitors to Saratoga Springs make this a must do restaurant. The crowds of locals and tourists will back this up. This is an amazing place - great food, beer, service, and prices.
Absolutely amazing bbq.
Got the 5 tour platter which was WAAAY too much for one person. Could prob feed three light eaters but def two. I am highly critical of bbq but this was too notch. Bills backer bar too. Go Bills!

Even on the slowest day, a day when you walk inside and there is no line to order it will take them 20-40 minutes to get your order out. I would recommend ordering 3 days prior for your food to be out in a timely manner
When PJs moved in to Malta we absolutely LOVED it.
The BBQ pit was outside at that time--we lived a few miles away and could smell the deliciousness almost daily! Things changed when they built up and brought everything inside.. and then, we moved to Virginia in 2008 so we hadn't had it until we recently came back to visit family and felt like visiting PJs (2023). CONS: Our jaws dropped with the prices. We paid $31 for a two-meat platter of food (see image) which my husband and I shared and one drink. We also ate inside and there were flies all over the place--we could also see spider webs under the tables that were by the windows, and a bathroom was out of order (we only saw a second one, can't imagine that would be fun when busy). PROS: I will say that the two staff we interacted with were super polite. Plus, we were the first ones there for the day and got the fries straight out of the fryer. OVERALL though: we were sorely disappointed. My husband said the ribs were fine, but my chicken was chewy/tough. I do love the flavor of the cornell chicken though, so that made it tolerable. Sadly, we won't ever go back.
We were on our way to SPAC and stopped here.
One of us loves barbecue and has eaten at many barbecue places. This place was a big disappointment. I had pulled chicken and there were bones in it and it was pretty tasteless. My partner had a variety of barbecue burnt ends, sausage, pulled pork. He said that the pulled pork was so salty. He couldn't eat it. Everything else was pretty tasteless from his perspective. The only thing that I could say was good was the cornbread. We both left disappointed and hungry because we left a lot of food.
The Best Brisket
Got the Brisket platter which consists of two sides and corn bread. I love the coleslaw and Mac salad. My husband got a baked potato. When he cut it open it was rotten so he took he back . The girl working told him he could still eat it, he told her he wanted another one. Then she said she could re sell it if he did not touch it, he told her to throw it out as did the other guy working there. Other than that the food was great. Both indoor and our door seating.
Waited and waited
Wish I could rate the food but we never got to eat. After traveling 5 hours we were looking for dinner nearby our hotel. We entered the restaurant and waited. It smelled good and wasn't very busy since it was a Thursday evening around 7:00pm. There were no signs saying "Please seat yourself" or "Wait to be seated" . Three different employees past us and said nothing, not even a hello. So we left.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Can come from a lot of places, people who don't want to get charged their cancellation fee or people who just have them and cant go.

almost all restaurants aren't affiliated with AT and I'm guessing it's mostly people wanting to not pay cancellation fees.
