Pijja Palace Los Angeles Reviews from The Last Year
Service here is exceptional.
The staff is very attentive and makes you feel welcomed. The food is very flavorful, if you enjoy the Indian spices then this is the place for you. I am not a wings fan but their wings were yummy and juicy. The place is loud due to its size and how many people are seated into that space. It would be great if all chairs had back support, it wasn't fun to have dinner on a backless chair. The prices are certainly on the higher end specially when majority of the menu is vegan but they make up for it in flavor and service.

just now walked in 45 minutes before they closed and the hostess said with a snotty attitude "you know, I think we're done with walk ins for the night." Still half full dining room and plenty of seats available.

Ive gone by this place at least 4 times in the past and there is always a line of people waiting to eat here. Finally made it in this past weekend and Pijja Place did nog disappoint. The hostess was very nice and greeted everyone walking in while also telling those who stoped by, "thanks for coming." The walls are covered in TVs, one day I'll have to come out here to watch a sporting event, but above all that... the food was incredible. We ordered the onion rings, the chicken wings, lamb sliders and a Royal Treatment as a drink. Everything, and I truly mean everything was so good and filling. Next time I'm here I'll have to get the pizza. Everyone around us had pizza and it was too hard to decide which one to get so we stuck with apps. Can't wait to come back and try something new.
Very basic.
The popular pizza with green chutney reminded me of frozen pizza with too much chutney sauce. The flavor of chutney overwhelmed the thin slice of pizza. Very disappointing. If you like pizza or ethnic food... I wouldn't recommend.

The hype around this place is warranted, the food is absolutely amazing. The pizza was incredible and the pasta dish we had was one of the best things I've ever eaten in my life.
Seriously what happened to this place!? Staff and drinks
Seriously what happened to this place!? Staff and drinks are the only good things left! The food we would keep coming back for is unrecognizable! We let our waiter know too that something changed in the last few months, which he admitted to. Parmesan bread, sliders, pasta, pizza, wings, etc all excessively salty and bland at the same time! It was a mutual feeling amongst the group we went with. We were starving so we still ate a little of everything we ordered but honestly we were all so disappointed.

I'm still dreaming of the rigatoni! Caesar salad was a plentiful portion to start with and share. The rigatoni was so flavorful, the perfect amount of spice. Staff super attentive as they refilled water constantly. Really enjoyed being able to watch a match here as well, I love a good unconventional sports bar with a kick in their food!

this was my first time at pijja palace and I was so excited ! firstly, it was very hard to get a reservation so I was happy I was able to find time during lunch to go. we tried the dosa onion rings, salad , and the tikka masala pizza . my favorite was actually the salad . the dressing was really good and I loved the crunch that it had. the onion rings were very thick and different. they had a layer of soft dough inside of the crunchy exterior that was fine but very heavy. the pizza was thin and flavor was good but it was a bit dry for me. I would definitely want to come back to try their green chutney pizza because this one was good but not my absolute favorite. it's still a very cool and interesting concept and would recommend if you're in the area
A Indian-Italian hybride sports bar nestled off Sunset Blvd.
in Los Angeles, Pijja Palace is a culinary gem that masterfully blends Indian and Italian flavors into a unique and delightful dining experience. Each dish is an adventure, making Pijja Palace a should-visit destination for food lovers. Start your meal with the Dosa Onion Rings, a heavyweight entry into the onion ring wars. These are not your average onion rings -- coated in a crispy Urad lentil batter and served with a tangy mango chutney, they are a perfect fusion of Indian and American comfort food. The crunch and flavor of these rings will have you hooked from the first bite. Best onion rings I've ever had. The Malai Rigatoni is a standout dish that perfectly encapsulates the Indian-Italian fusion concept. The rigatoni is cooked to perfection and bathed in a luscious tomato masala cream sauce, garnished with fresh coriander. This dish is rich, flavorful and incredibly satisfying, making it a must-try for any pasta lover. Great kick too. Despite being full, I couldn't stop grazing on the remaining leftovers. The Samosa Pijja is a creative and delicious twist on traditional pizza. Topped with korma sauce, heirloom potatoes, and mint chutney, this dish brings the flavors of a classic Indian samosa to a beloved Italian format. It's a unique and flavorful dish that is sure to impress. The Red Wings at Pijja Palace are a fiery delight. Coated with a spicy blend of Kashmiri red chili, garam masala, ginger and garlic, these wings pack a punch of flavor that's both bold and addictive. They are the perfect appetizer for those who love a bit of heat. For something a bit more substantial, the Aloo Tiki and Lamb Kebab sliders are a treat. The Aloo Tiki slider offers a delightful vegetarian option with its spiced potato patty, while the Lamb Kebab slider boasts a juicy and flavorful lamb patty. Both are served on soft buns and are bursting with flavor. The Kesar Rickshaws are an innovative dish that blends Italian and Indian elements seamlessly. The pasta is infused with saffron, giving it a beautiful golden hue, and is complemented by the nutty flavor of Parmesan and the unique spiciness of Indian long pepper. It's a dish that is both familiar and exotic and ABSOLUTELY delicious. One of my favorite dishes on the menu. Another standout is the Nihar Lamb & Shells. The tender lamb shoulder is cooked to perfection and paired with fennel and a sumac yogurt that adds a refreshing tang. The pasta shells soak up all the rich flavors, making each bite a delight. End your meal on a sweet note with the Cookies and Cardamom soft serve. The creamy soft serve, infused with the warm and aromatic flavor of cardamom, is paired with delightful cookie crumbles. It's a perfect dessert that balances sweetness with a hint of spice. Pijja Palace is not just a restaurant; it's an experience. The innovative fusion of Indian and Italian cuisines, combined with the high-quality ingredients and skilled execution, make it a standout dining destination in Los Angeles. Whether you're a local or just visiting, Pijja Palace is a change from the norm, an eclectic combination of two of my favorite culinary styles. Highly recommend, especially to watch your favorite sports teams while munching on a diverse collection of tastes!
Such a fun place! From the moment we walked you can smell
Such a fun place! From the moment we walked you can smell the amazing Indian spices. Food was exactly what I expected, a fun blend of Italian and bar food with Indian flare. So unique and flavorful. My favorite part was all the different types of sauces. Wait staff is friendly and attentive. Highly recommend trying if you like fusion food!
Everything you need to know about visiting Pijja Palace 1.
They don't have a phone 2. Although it's quite difficult to get reservations online, it seems they typically have plenty of space for walk-ins. This is especially true in the first hour of opening (five to six pm) 3. You can make reservations in person 4. There's a parking lot in the front but it's tiny On to the food: - dosa onion rings 3.5/5 - these were good and crispy but not sure how much I liked this in general. Dosa has a bit of a sour taste so idk if I liked it with the sweet onion, but loved the size and masala on top - achaari buffalo tenders 4/5- yummy and tangy. Loved loved loved the curry leaf ranch. It's extra to get both suaces. The yogurt one is basically green raita - aloo tikki sliders 5/5- these were super yummy. Especially dipped in the curry leaf ranch - malai rigatoni 3/5- it was fine. It was yummy but not mind blowing. If you grew up brown you may have tried butter chicken sauce on pasta - that's all that is. I think for moths not familiar with Indian food or those looking for nostalgia would like this dish more. - kesar rickshaws 2.5/5- literally tastes like a thicker creamier kesar doodh over pasta. Kinda good but kinda not. I wish I had tried the eggplant pasta instead - samosa pizza 2.75/5)- the korma sauce is too delicate to be topped with so many toppings. It has some samosa ingredients but doesn't taste like a samosa if that makes sense. Not very cheesy. I wish I had tried a classic pizza - roofzah soft serve 5/5- super yummy. The ice cream is delicate and delicious- the rose taste isn't overpowering at all. The crunch salty pistachios are the perfect complement I will say the service was amazing. Our server was awesome and made the experience really nice.
Not only does this place live up to hype, it exceeds it.
Super chill atmosphere with great service, and the food is to die for. Was somehow able to snatch a reservation (wednesday at 5:30 pm) and it was so worth it. Everything was really flavorful, like we could tell each ingredient had been seasoned right! We got the aloo tiki sliders, spicy garlic bread, malai rigatoni, and a northern makhani pizza with paneer and onions. Each dish was ridiculously good, but if I had to pick a favorite, it would be the pizza. Definitely one of my top 3 restaurants in LA! Can't wait to be back soon

Pretty solid, the wait time was a little long, but it was also super busy when we went so it was understandable! The pizza was good, chicken was a liiiiittle dryer than I excepted. The onion rings were delish. Might go back on a less busy night!
This isn't just dining; it's an experience that transcends
This isn't just dining; it's an experience that transcends the ordinary, where every dish tells a story of heritage fused with innovation. Pijja Palace isn't merely a restaurant; it's a destination for those who seek to savor the art of fusion cuisine at its finest.
This past Friday a few of my friends from OC were invited
This past Friday a few of my friends from OC were invited to LA to go try out Pijja Palace. We heard so much about this place so we were excited to check it out. Since our group was large there was already a preset menu. We had the okra tots which had a bit too much chaat masala, then we had the garlic cheese bread which seemed a bit burnt, dinner we had the rickshaw shaped pasta and also rigatoni malai pasta. The paneer pizza and chutney pizza was way too salty. I'm not quite sure this fusion of Indian-Italian cuisine worked. The food wasn't as great as it sounded on the menu. The place is really tiny located under a Comfort Inn motel and parking is limited so might have to get lucky and find parking on the street. The restaurant seating is crowded, there is a bar but it's really loud when everyone is talking and when the tv is playing. The service provided was average since they are so busy it takes time for the staff to be able to attend to every table. Overall this place is more hype than anything. For the price our group paid I would have rather gone to a fine dining restaurant for more value. Save your money and don't bother coming here as they automatically add a service fee to your bill. Heard about it place and checked it out and I will definitely not go back here again. This is my first and last.
Very interesting concept of Indian pasta and pizza.
Definitely a modern fusion restaurant that does it very well. We got the Indian style onion rings, which were delicious. We also ordered three cocktails that were $18 each, which was a bit much for a casual place like this. We also got two pizzas and a pasta as well, which came out to $188 for three people, and they added the tip included. It was very good food and delicious, but we felt it was expensive for what it was. Overall, a popular and trendy place to eat a modern cake on Indian food, but definitely on the price your side for the neighborhood and the actual food.
I was really excited for this Indian Italian fusion spot!
I was really excited for this Indian Italian fusion spot! Unfortunately, I think it was a bit too pricey for my tastes and I wish they were a little bit more creative with the flavors and options. We tried the Malai Rigatoni and the Indian-style pizza. The rigatoni was great, but it really just tasted like tikka masala or malai sauce with rigatoni, and although it was good, I think I'd rather just have a naan and tikka masala The Indian style pizza was also decent, but it was not as good as other spots I've tried and felt like it was missing something. The ambiance was like a classic sports bar, fairly casual and with plenty of TV screens showing. Although we made a reservation, the place was pretty empty and we were seated quickly. Service was great. I appreciate the effort to try for fusion, and I hope to to go back and maybe try some of their other options.
This place is great.
Food was wonderful. Everything was delicious. But our server Annalee was delightful. My biggest pet peeve is servers who don't know anything or will just say XYZ is popular with nothing else added. Annalee was the opposite of that. She Had a great knowledge of the food and drinks, willing to help as much or as little as we needed.
Love the originality.
"Sports bar" that specializes in a sort of Indian-Italian fusion cuisine. You'll find things such as green chutney pizza, or Pijja as they like to call it, chutney pesto pasta, etc. I tried their jaggery tamarind tenders, yellow wings, saag pizza, dosa onion rings, and malai rigatoni pasta. Out of these, the rigatoni and the onion rings were definitely big hits. The onion rings were super crispy and big in size. Lots of batter but good batter-to-onion ratio. I counted 5, so order according if sharing. The pasta was actually my favorite, the sauce specifically was rich, not too heavy, and flavorful. The pasta was cooked well, not al dente authentic style, but I'm not complaining. It is super hard to get a reservation. So I suggest looking WEEKS ahead and being flexible. There is a small parking lot, but I always find it full, so street parking is your best bet.
Honestly, it's really a 3.
5 for me. Concept is unique and service is fantastic. Food wasn't mind blowing. We tried the onion rings, caesar salad, two make your own pizzas, and the malai rigatoni. The malai rigatoni was probably our favorite pasta. The pizzas were good, though adding fresno chilies on top of spicy sauces was a little too much for everyone in our group to handle. The paneer on pizza was really unique and tasty so I recommend trying that if you visit. We tried the coffee cardamom soft serve for dessert and it might have been my favorite thing on the menu. They're not as busy as when they first opened, and it should be relatively easy to get a reservation by emailing the restaurant or showing up without one. Ambiance is fun and casual. The type of place worth trying once, but probably not worth returning to.
Pijja Palace is an awesome spot if you're craving Indian
Pijja Palace is an awesome spot if you're craving Indian food, but with a modern twist! This is my husband and I's second time visiting and the food was just as good as the first time, which was over a year ago. Cool ambiance, but plan to arrive a few minutes early to find parking since the lot is quite limited. We went on a Thursday night with reservations, we understand busy nights but it was definitely several minutes before a server came and greeted us, and they weren't very attentive throughout our meal. This was a little annoying but not enough to deter us from coming back again! P.s. If you like non alcoholic drinks, make sure to try the Peach Darjeeling!
Cons: - 19% service fee.
Not a typo - nineteen percent. Tipping also requested. - Atmosphere is incredibly loud, in a bizarre kind of way. I can't hear my friend across from me, but can hear the bar 20 feet away, the tables behind me, the chatter is intolerable - Except for pasta and pizza, food was definitely sports bar food Pros: - Pastas was good, pizza was fresh. - Service is great, very positive waiter Don't be misled by the social media and food blogs, not really missing out by missing this place. I definitely feel duped after hearing the hype, and service fee is definitely a surprise, try finding out this place has a service fee on their website, you won't until to walk in the door :(

we were excited to try this place and left very disappointed. okra tots were dry and crumbly, dosa onion rings just tasted like regular crappy rings, pasta was good, pizza was terrible - tasted like someone took a burnt cracker, put sauce and shredded cheese on it, and stuck it in a microwave too long. they gave us half off the pizza after we said something but they were kinda rude about it.

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.
Success on Short Notice
Was able to snag an indoor table at Don Angie through an absolutely seamless worry-free process.

Quick table in Miami
I didn’t have my hopes high as it was a party of 4. In 24 hours I had a carbone reservation available! I was very happy as my family really wanted to come here

perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??
Tune into NBC News - Top Story Tonight 7:40p ET
Let’s go. Get more people placing bids!
I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
