Average. More hype than what it really is, but it was stil fine.
So when I read reviews and learned about the concept of a "blind tasting," I was intrigued. I thought it would be fun, and even when I arrived, the host made it sound like it would be. But in the end, the chefs were just pumping out the same plates to everyone, and there was nothing fun about it, more just lazy in a way? and/or just easier for them since they just had to do the same 4-6 dishes per service? It basically looked like the prep for a wedding/event, where they just have to serve the same dish over and over again to the whole room. Since it's an open kitchen, you can see plates of the same sad dishes coming out, the chefs just looked bored adding the purees to the plate in the same way. It didnt feel at all special, more like a factory process. But that's my opinion obviously, maybe some people like that? Perhaps this is a reason why most chefs are usually NOT customer-facing and behind a kitchen - it's not that entertaining, unless you have personality to match or something fun to show. Food-wise, the fish was bland and almost tasteless, the steak was a bit tough, and I think there was just no love in the food. The only Korean I tasted was the bibimbap sauce; I didn't really feel like it was fusion anything. Also, I saw one of the chefs scrape puree back into its container from a dish they had plated but didn't end up serving. The service was meh, average again. It was neither good nor bad, but it could have been friendlier. They just gave me my food and wine, asked what I thought was in the dish, and then gave me the correct answer. Anyway, for $40 euros, it was fine. It wasn't great, but is also doesn't deserve anything below an average rating (which is 3 stars on TripAdvisor). It was average, and average was fine for lunch—I needed to eat! But I'm always disappointed when I go to celebrity chef restaurants, even if I get a bit of FOMO and need to try it out!

The place is nice, friendly for a good lunch with friends. We were in the cellar, it was both intimate and a bit noisy...I remember the magic egg which was very well made. Good wine advice.

Excellent discovery. A feast for the eyes and taste buds ! It's a surprise with every dish. You discover flavors, it's original and very well cooked with seasonal products. You decline before ordering what you don't like. The restaurant is not big but that wasn't a problem. Very friendly waiter who explained each ingredient to us after the guessing game. We really liked it and will happily come back.
Be the first to ReplyFun and surprise dinner!
Surprise dinner, they ask you if you eat everything or have allergies/intolerances. If you give the OK we start with a truly fun culinary experience. If you are sitting at the counter like we were, the chefs cook in front of you and you guess what you have on your plate (sometimes really difficult). Good quality and friendly staff. Perhaps the only negative point is that the place is really small but you know...we are in Paris.

Imaginative cuisine. Live preparation and a chef who shares his skills. Passionate about his job and GE and them on the portions of the dishes that were presented. On the other hand, very noisy and average comfort.

A menu in 6 acts and without any false notes. We had a blast. Excellent value for money and a very friendly and relaxed welcome.
Be the first to ReplyGreat discovery
Excellent dinner with very elaborate cuisine that mixes French specialties and lesser-known Korean and Asian foods. Very friendly and smiling staff, relaxed atmosphere and good wine. All on large, friendly tables in a restaurant that is certainly a little cramped but very warm. Thanks for the experience

A very nice gift that our children gave us. 6-step meal for which we had to identify the ingredients. Beyond this fun side, the servers are dynamic, smiling and efficient. The dishes are well presented and good. A big thank-you.

Top welcome, a server full of humor. The plates are a delight. The place is warm. Chic and relaxed atmosphere at the same time.

I was hoping to meet Pierre Sang but he was not there (oh well)..unfortunately the location was closed due to heating failure so it was moved to Loft. Which was a nice spacious and inviting place. The inside was packed with 40+ people of sudden. I was seated right away but sat alone for 20 minutes and no one approached me (not even offering water while others drinking wine and about to start the first course). I finally asked if i can just cancel the dinner. She offered an apology and she thought I was waiting for someone. She had me sat by near the food prep area. Which was nice to witness all the actions. Things got better with few other friendly staff. All of them worked very hard to orchestrate feeding all those people. Witnessing one of the staff (one with sweat top with hoodie) almost slamming down plates to other tables was horrific. He even served me one of course from the cross the table instead of approaching from the side. I know it was a very busy evening but that was not the way to serve people at this kind of restaurant. I am sure Pierre would not be happy if he saw what happened. None of us came here for some kind of fast food. I think food and wine pairing was done nicely. I just think they were trying to accomplish with too many people to be served. I was hoping for more of intimate style of dinner. Perhaps I will try again in the near future. YC from USA.

A great discovery. I recommend the 6-course Tasting menu which allows you to discover the full range of flavors of this house's cuisine. An inventive, tasty but readable cuisine. The art of enhancing local products and livening them up with spices. A delight. Very nice sommelier (in love with his native Loire) who knows how to pass on his knowledge and help us discover gems. We opted for a stunning 2014 Chinon. Top overall service and very appreciated presence in the dining room of the Chef at dessert time. An experience so pleasant that it made us want to come back soon. Well done and thank you to the Pierre Sang team

Superb good time of conviviality with a superb young and dynamic team, we ate very well with incredible value for money for 6 dishes, for me one of the best addresses in the 11th
Be the first to ReplyMemorable & incredible
This place is an absolute gem in Paris! It’s a set menu but they’re fine with dietary requirements and every course is delicious. The atmosphere is really great & if you sit at the bar upstairs you can watch them making the food too. We had 6 courses of the most incredible food, the staff were amazing (they ask you to guess ingredients!) and we all had the most amazing evening. I can’t recommend this place enough!
Be the first to ReplySit at the bar so you can watch the kitchen
A friend recommended and we obtained our seats due to a waitlist cancellation on a Saturday night and our last meal in France. We didn't know what to expect as had read nothing on the restaurant. Atmos is casual. Food was simple and lovely, a good mix of Korean and French. Omakase style and host asks you to guess key ingredients after you eat each dish. Our six dishes were: salmon, lentil, beef, duck, cheese, dessert. They checked allergies first, which is great since you don't know what you are to be served. My teen daughter doesn't like cheese (!) but they substituted an alternative, which was appreciated. She ate everything else as she has an affinity for Korean food. Sit at the bar if you can so you can watch the kitchen. I believe they change their menu out monthly.

Simply divine! Wonderful mix of Korean and French. Perfect service. Courses are spaced out appropriately. Highly recommend!

What a treat! We loved the “eat what you are served” followed by “guess what it was” with the waiters. Food was inventive and delicious and the staff brilliant.
Be the first to ReplyA sad story
I visited the restaurant after reading good reviews Unfortunately it does not worth the time i spent . The place it small and pretty packed. We offered a table squeezed between the window and the bar , really uncomfortable. The whole project of not knowing the dishes you will be offered is really interesting however the execution was awful. We started with a sushi . The rice was uncooked and the taste was plain and indifferent . The tomato soup that followed had some interest but there was no acidity to balance the heavy sweetness and the big chunks of tomato suit to a tavern dish and not a fine dinning restaurant . The mixed vegetable dish did not help to improve the whole picture . Oily with no mid palate finesse and short bitter finish. Then a boring dessert followed , sirupy, heavy and cloying. As for the wine list , this had some decent options but i cant really understand how you can choose to serve a red Bordeaux in a tiny 100ml glass. Tiny packed place with lack of finesse , elegance, fantasy and taste. If you are after a nice place to dine look elsewhere.

We went for dinner in June 2022 after reading exceptional reviews of the place. I was underwhelmed with the food. You can get much better in Paris. Maybe we got unlucky with the months menu. But it really wasn’t worth the time spent.

This restaurant is full with surprises. Fixed menu which made it easier, what ever the chef decided to cook that day. It was all very tasty. A mixture of Korean and French cuisine, very nice and welcoming staff. A different and very recommended experience
Be the first to ReplyGo for the experience but food is nothing special
Great experience but food was nothing special. We did the 6 course tasting menu which is served at the chef’s pass. The set up was quite exciting but a little cramped. The service order was a bit odd, they seemed to plate the dishes for the people sitting downstairs first while those sitting at the pass had to watch and wait. The service was patchy too, we often found ourselves with empty wine glasses and had to remind the waiters twice as they kept forgetting our orders for wine and water. The kitchen accidentally left an item off one of the dishes and only realised when we pointed it out as it was still sitting on the shelf. Finally we noticed some people got desert servings half the size of others as they seemed to run out of bowls!
Be the first to ReplyVery enjoyable
We went to the oberkampf branch which serves a 6 course menu. They do not tell you what you eat until you finish the dish. The food is good tasty and imaginative, but the pork in the main dish was dry .

This is our second visit to this restaurant. The staff was friendly and accommodating to our food needs. Since you must guess the ingredients in each course i wish the wait staff had better English translations after you finished each course. In order to make an accommodation for dietary restrictions I think a couple of the courses were lacking that evening. The menu is very reasonably priced for Paris standards.
Be the first to ReplyWorst dining experience in Paris. Take my advice and avoid!
Went here on a Sunday night. Rude manager was impolite if you dared to ask any questions regarding ingredients. There is no menu so asking clarifications regarding ingredients is not such an imposition (to make sure you are not consuming anything you’re allergic to) but this manager seems to think so. When I asked him twice if shrimp was in the menu he repeated irritated “as I already have told you, there is none”.
Water was left empty and asked several times to no avail.
Food is hurriedly placed in front of you with no explanation or what it is.
Food was not good. The menu changes everyday so perhaps we came on an off night but the textures and flavors were too salty, too sour, too dry…it’s hard to mess up braised beef but they managed to.
Although 43 euros is not a lot of money so I am aware that expectations cannot be too high, I think basic customer service or answering questions and also food that tastes decent is a basic requirement of that price point. Both of which Pierre sang failed.
Highly recommend going elsewhere or at least avoid asking questions to the manager. This place is nothing exceptional and very skippable.
