I'm not sure how this place is Michelin recommended.
The interior is nothing special and the food was subpar for a place that is supposed to be upscale and good. Service was fine until we said we didn't want dessert and then were asked if we were sure multiple times. Yes, just the check so we can leave.
Be the first to ReplyWent to this restaurant friendly at first very welcoming.
One drink each and olives for starter but a family emergency came unsuspected and we had to leave staff became very rushy and tried to make us pay for food that wasn't even cooked yet. We had made them aware we had to leave for emergency but still tried to make us pay for wat we hadn't ate . Very unprofessional won't be goin back.

Service - 5 stars Ambiance - 5 stars Food - 3 stars Saw this on Michelin guide and thought it was a fantastic value. The beautiful decor and elements of the seating and wall decorations in three unique rooms were stunning. The attentive staff with different utensils and constant filling up of water was good. The starters were excellent - mussels being our favorite. Then when the entree came it was disappointing for us. The venson shoulder and duck breast for the main was complicated in flavors and texture. Not impressed but a very good value. The sides cauliflower and peppers were mixed in extra flavors that didn't make much sense to us. Perhaps we should have diversified our dishes and chose a fish or something else. Bread was delicious Btw we asked them for additional and they were kind enough to have given us a few more slices.

Had to pivot my dinner plans due to an unexpected change in another restaurant's hours - luckily had researched this place and popped in as a quick swap. It seems that they use their front room for walk-ins versus the back main dining area is for reservations, etc. Overall everything was good - lamb dish was probably the highlight

Our dinner tonight was absolutely outstanding at Pichet! From the attentive, but not intrusive service, to the wine recommendation and our delicious meal, everything was delicious and simply divine. My husband had the halibut and I had the Iberian pork. Both were seasoned to perfection and didn't need any extra help. The roasted cauliflower was a wonderful accompaniment. This has been the best dinner we've had in Dublin during the past week (we've dined at several Michelin starred places) and we hope to dine at Pichet again before we leave next week.
Be the first to ReplyIt was my best meal in Dublin.
Started off with a few appetizers and they were pretty good. They had a special with mushrooms on top of some type of bread and it was excellent. Had roasted cauliflower with nuts on it as a side and I thought it was prepared excellent. I had gnocchi which was very good. Pillowy and a little crispy on the outside. Definitely recommend. Wife had some lamb which was ridiculous. Service was very good. Ambience was a little loud due to a table nearby. It is not a very big place.
Be the first to ReplyBest meal and experience in Ireland.
Outstanding service, quality, and flavor. The chef was on point with Tomohawk steak, and drinks were cold and constant. The quality is what all restaurants should strive for. Amazing restaurant and management!
Be the first to ReplyI had a lamb dish with warm goat, cheese, and asparagus.
The lamb was cooked to perfection was still pink inside. It was so tender! It was cut into four pieces and each pieces actually had a slightly different texture. The goat cheese was incredible with this dish. It was basically melted. The bread was light and bouncy. Yum! Ambiance is dim lit and perfect for date night. I was able to walk in on a Thursday and snag the last table available, so I recommend making a reservation in advance. My server was sweet and friendly and even the bartenders checked in to ask how my experience was. I wish I had room in my belly to try starters and dessert. Next time! Definitely worth if the Michelin bib.

Great resturaunt! Lovely staff that was friendly and helpful. Nestled on a delightful corner in Dublin.Food was exceptional across the board. Almonds to start had an awesome smokey seasoning. White pudding app was incredible - you could cut the sausage like butter and the egg was perfectly crispy. Salmon main course was great. But i would say the highlights were the seabream special and the mushroom risotto. Both were exceptional

Don't miss out on the best fine dining and service in Dublin! My dining experience at Pichet was one for the books! I was in Dublin for New Year's 2023 and had a reservation for earlier in the evening. The meal, friendly and professional service was top notch. The menu selections were well appointed to meet the needs of any dietary restrictions without skimping on the flavor and plating that you would expect in a 5 star dining experience. The wine list was well appointed and a pleasing match for any menu item. The dining and management team were incredible and made my experience so memorable we came back at midnight to ring in the New Year at the bar. Marco, the restaurant manager and Harry Quinn (Executive Chef) were both professional and humble. My best friend and I thoroughly appreciated the personal service provided by them both despite being busy.In addition, we loved Pichet so much we came back our last night in Dublin to enjoy the dining experience again! Pichet is a MUST GO to when in Dublin. Must try menu items: Risotto of Hen of the Woods Mushroom Risotto, Slow Cooked Short Rib with Pasta Starter (still drooling), Filet of Grass Fed Beef (this restaurant knows their way around quality beef selection and preparation), Charred Tender stem Broccolini with Ceasar dressing (a sophisticated and modern version of ceasar salad)...no menu item will disappoint! Thank you again to Chef Harry Quinn, Marco and the entire Pichet team for making my Dublin dining experience one of the best in my culinary adventures! I will be back soon!
Be the first to ReplyI've been to Ireland about 5 times now and every time I
I've been to Ireland about 5 times now and every time I visit this restaurant is always my first choice. I've been to many restaurants in Ireland and this is by far my favorite. The service is absolutely phenomenal, shout out to Dominic for always taking care of us. One thing I love about this restaurant is, they're always switching up the specials. We've had many things from monkfish, tomahawk steak, venison, pork shoulder and many more. The chef is always great at every meal, and they get fresh cuts of meat or seafood in all the time. Nothing is ever frozen and prepared fresh daily. Pichet it's a little bit more on the pricey side, but it's worth every penny, or if you're going to celebrate. I do recommend at least getting an appetizer or two, a main dish, side, and dessert. Lastly, you will have to make a reservation a couple weeks in advance because they do book up. This restaurant will not disappoint you, I've added pictures from our visits on multiple occasions
Be the first to ReplyMy friend and I had a great time at Pichet.
I must admit I was a bit skeptical while looking at their posted menu, because I am not only vegetarian but also gluten intolerant. Usually this means that my options are very limited, but after talking with the maitre d we were assured that accommodations could be made. Ante was our waiter that day, and he was wonderful with his recommendations and service. Our drinks were amazing as well and came very quickly after we ordered. As a gluten intolerant vegetarian I was able to have:-Gordal olives marinated in orange -Mushroom risotto -Butternut squash soup with gluten free bread -Cauliflower with miso butter (phenomenal, highly recommend)-Berry sorbet
Be the first to ReplyI feel Pichet was the pinnacle of fine dining in Dublin.
From the first moment we stepped in, I had a good feeling. The decor and vibe of the place almost made it seem like we weren't in Dublin anymore. It wasn't super gaudy but it still had this perfect balance of royalty and homeyness. When we ate dinner this night I'm pretty sure we walked to the restaurant so I'm not sure of the parking situation. I don't think theres street parking since its in a part of the Temple Bar area thats really just meant to walk to. I definitely would check for the nearest parking garage. As for our meal, we started off with some cocktails. I got the Rum Punch to start and I really enjoyed it. It wasn't a super burst of fruit like I am used to. I tasted the rum but also got those pineapple and passionfruit flavors on the end. It also had more frothiness to it than the cocktail normally has due to the egg white which was fun. That's why I love sours after all. For food they had a Tomahawk Steak special for 2. Now let me first say, if you see this as a special and you haven't tried it, I highly recommend you do. This was easily one of my favorite meals on my Ireland trip. The steak was amazing just on it's own but the the 3 sauces it came with was icing on the cake. My favorite one was the peppercorn sauce. It was so rich, and peppery but it also was a little thick like a gravy. It's something that you don't really see on a menu from where I live in California. Most you would have is an Au Jus with some horseradish sauce for a Prime Rib. Most other steaks you eat alone unless it comes with wine reduction of some sort. So it was extremely fun to try something new and fall in love with it. Literally everything we had was good. I hate corn and I actually liked the corn soup. Like...how is this possible man?Oh. We also did order wine with our meal but I couldn't remember if I tried. It was that good...What we did was just have our server recommended one and that's what I would recommend for you too. The people working here aren't just a friendly face. They are very knowledgeable on food so if you run into any crossroads definitely pick their brain. But man that peppercorn sauce...No other sauce came close to the one I had at Pichet. I want to try and perfect this at home now...

We were lucky to walk past Pichet and get an available table. The fish special was amazing. The wine was great. The dessert was *chef's kiss*
Be the first to ReplyI would give this place 6 stars.
Our server Andree? Was awesome. Service spectacular. Started out with the olives, which were amazing. Wife had the fish and I had the Lamb Chops. Wife said it was the best fish we had on our 10 day trip. My Lamb was perfectly cooked. The roasted cauliflower was the BEST we have ever had in our life. They could make a completely new restaurant that only served that and it would be a hit. Roasted with some light sauce and hazelnuts!! It was insane. Never had anything close to that good. Had a Bordeaux and it was decanted and had great Reidel glasses.Prices were reasonable for an older Bordeaux. They even had Ridge Zinfandel there (our favorite). Did I mention the service was awesome. Great to go to a real Michelin star restaurant and it exceeded our expectations. The service was just simply awesome. You could tell he loved his job and the people he was serving. We did not feel rushed at all. This restaurant was easily on of the finest restaurants in all of Dublin. We walked by near lunch and when I walked in the manager was there, he was so nice and took our reservations. I hear it is hard to get into too. Could not have been better. We will be back.

I'm so thankful for recommendations from those that serve the hospitality industry. This place has the ambiance, good food, and perfect service (you'll never have to ask for anything). Reservations are a must as the location is a little intimate. If you're a large group you should 100% call ahead of time. My husband got the foie gras terrine and I got the mussels (not pictured). It was spectacular.
Be the first to ReplyGot very lucky with a walk in here.
2020 michelin star restaurant in the city center. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. Open kitchen concept near the dining area. The short rib starter was absolutely amazing. Wish we just ordered multiple dishes of this for our main meal! Comes with these creamy pasta shells.A la Lamb dish came with an interesting compressed layered potato, artichoke, and some other ingredients that I probably can't pronounce. The sides were amazing. Triple fried potato cakes and the best broccoli I've ever had.Don't forget dessert, the key lime pie blew our minds. Book a reservation here when you're in Dublin!
Be the first to ReplyEasily one of the best meals I've ever had.
The hake had the crispiest skin and it's a dish I'll be thinking about for a long time. The staff and vibe of the restaurant is top notch. Book a table and enjoy a perfect meal - I know I did!

Dublin is a very international city and so there is no shortage of food. I had walked by Pichet multiple times before deciding to dine-in as I was in search for dinner. There are days where I just simply cannot decide on what to eat, and every restaurant I had walked by advertised their pre-fix options. I was hungry and tired of walking, and best part was that my hotel was only a ten minute away, and so Pichet it was.I was greeted by a friendly host as I entered the restaurant and was asked if I have a reservation. I asked if I was able to dine-in, and was seated shortly after confirming with the manager that a table was available. The manager was gracious by allowing me to dine-in with a one hour and thirty minute window, which was more than enough time for me to grab a quick dinner. I loved the clean, modern, warm, and elegant interior. A friendly waiter assisted with taking my order and I decided on their two course pre-fix special. 1) Salad of golden beets, figs and burratta; this was absolutely delicious and all of the ingredients paired so well each other. Honestly I would have been happy with two more dishes of the same salad and call it a night.2) Short Rib; I loved the tender melt in your mouth beef short rib, horseradish croquette was something I have not had and enjoyed, and the sauce brimming with umami made the dish absolutely amazing.3) Broccoli; this was technically a side on its own cooked in butter, garlic and topped with crushed almonds. I love broccoli and this was a perfect vegetable dish to accompany my meat dish. I do not regret having my last meal in Dublin at Pichet and will definitely dine here again in the future.
Be the first to ReplyPichet was excellent from start to finish.
ย As soon as we arrived we were warmly greeted and taken to our table. ย Our server was fantastic. ย I don' remember his name but I do remember he was from Croatia. ย A great personality which added to our experience. ย Food and drinks were fantastic. ย Definitely our favorite meal in Dublin!
Be the first to ReplyThis was honestly the best meal of our trip so far.
Every single dish had rich, deep flavors. The short rib was sublime, meat as tender as can be with a bright green sauce beneath and some grilled onions to add some texture and balance. It's a massive piece of short rib and will almost surely fill you up after a piece or two of bread and olive oil. The gnocchi was also just incredible, so fluffy with a savory sauce that wasn't overbearing nor heavy. Thank you big gourmand!
Be the first to ReplyLoved every second from the minute we walked in.
Ian greeted us and we didn't have a reservation but it was early, around 5:40 pm, so they could take us right away. Food was amazing. ย Very flavorful and beautiful presentation. ย I usually don't get desert but the early bird special was a great deal! ย My husband enjoyed a glass of cigar old fashion as his dessert and we are still talking about. ย Go and enjoy. ย You won't be disappointed.

This place deserves to be ranked a lot higher than some of the other Yelp reviewed places in the area. Great atmosphere and warm service. Phenomenonal food!Had the monkfish and shortrib, both were cooked perfectly. What a nice surprise! Yesterday, I went to a higher ranked restaurant on Yelp for dinner and thought, "well if this is the best this city has to offer then I don't need to come back ever."Glad I stumbled across of this restaurant!

French restaurant hidden near Trinity College should be added to your next Ireland visit. Open kitchen layout and close seating makes this place so peaceful and upscale. Immediate welcomes and greeting from staff upon entry when we walked in during our Hop on Hop off tour of Dublin. We felt underdressed at first but realized the environment was welcoming regardless. We had just missed the lunch special deal (3 courses for โฌ28) so we went for traditional dishes. We ordered the chef special, Lamb Cutlets which was cooked to a perfect medium and so tender and flavorful. We definitely ate them to the bone. We also ordered the pork belly with charred cabbage. I've never had a pork belly until Pichet and WOW. The meat was succulent and the fat from the belly just melts in your mouth like a sweet caramel. The cabbage was a great texture and compliment to the meal. When we left, everyone gave a pleasant farewell and thanked us for dining in. That was so sweet because although we had one server, they all stopped to thank us when we left. Our bill was steep but well worth it's money for the decadent and style of cooking.
