SO sad to just now find out that Petty Cash has closed!
SO sad to just now find out that Petty Cash has closed! This place was absolutely amazing!!
Be the first to ReplyThis place has a cool atmosphere and plays great music.
In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, I want to recognize this establishment for their incredible food. On another note; the service was okay. We found that most the staff was just talking amongst each other as opposed to attending to their customers. We waited a long while before the waitress, blonde girl, came back to see if we were okay or needed anything else. Besides that misstep, the food was delicious. We ordered guacamole, Baja fish taco, shredded beef taco and flan. Everything was so flavorful and perfect in every way. The Baja fish taco was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The tortillas were divine. The flan was the absolute best flan I've tasted in LA, very close to comparison to my moms which is hard to beat. I will recommend you to visit.
Be the first to ReplyFood is delicious but extremely expensive for what it is.
A small taco is 9 dollars but they are good. The carnitas taco is much better than the carne asada taco which for me it's usually the other way around. The carne asada taco was very busy. The service was great and the atmosphere is pleasant. Would recommend to come again just be prepared to spend a lot of money. The pineapple habanero margaritas is definitely one of my faves.

Petty Cash was a great experience!! This restaurant was clean and neat. The decor was simple and just right! The staff was kind and welcoming. We started off with the cauliflower nachos, which were amazing! The kale and the cauliflower gave it a different twist. We also had the Spanish octopus taco and the chicken taco. They were tasty and delicious. I specially liked the Spanish octopus taco, The peanuts and green salsa just gave it a different taste. The quality of the octopus was evident. I had the Don Fulano Fuerte margarita and it was so refreshing. I will definitely be back.

Had planned to go to El Coyote after checking out Art Space (a cool spot with some great reasonably priced original art). We were a little early so it wasn't open. We were hungry so took a walk down the street and happened on Petty Cash, and so happy we did. Sat at the bar, and the bartender was great - told us about some different celery cocktail that involves curdled milk. Gave us a mini freebie and it was delicious. Yes you have to pay for chips and salsa, but chips were great and the 2 salsa options were different and we loved them both. I had a wonderful carnitas taco, obviously a homemade blue tortilla. Bf got steak and egg quesadilla, and couldn't stop raving! We will be back for sure!

I stumbled upon this spot for not too long ago, and it's got both great vibes and delicious waffles. Seriously, those waffles were on point - crispy outside, fluffy inside, and topped with an great options. The place just feels cozy and inviting, and the staff are super friendly. I'll definitely be coming back to try their other lunch offerings!
Be the first to ReplyDelicious! Very pricey.
But the margs are good. If you want an easy spot to enjoy cocktails and have a couple tasty tacos (not necessarily "authentic" but at least flavorful and not dry/gross) - this is the place! Parking sucks, I usually just valet. And expect to spend at least a hundo bucks if you want 2 margs in addition to your taco plate lol.
Be the first to ReplyNot a bad bite or sip of anything.
You can taste the quality of ingredients they are serving. The prices are a good reflection of the atmosphere, chef and bar of this restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyCame to this place on a whim when my dates favorite taco
Came to this place on a whim when my dates favorite taco stand was 45 mins away and we did not regret it. It was about 530pm on a Tuesday, valet parking available but also residential and street parking everywhere but i did have to walk a couple blocks. Grabbed a seat at the bar and the bartender was quick and prompt to help with anything we needed. Great service throughout. One of my friends asked why am i at an overpriced taco spot but that fish taco was worth the $15. "Scrumptious" my date described it as. It was also packed with enough food it was hard to fold the tortilla. I had never had cauliflower nachos with kale in my life and was hesitant and ended up cleaning the plate and thinking of ordering seconds lol. Definitely added it to my favorites!
Be the first to ReplyThe food is expensive but so damn good.
Love their house margaritas and yes I pay the up charge for better tequilas. I could just eat the chips.
Be the first to ReplyWent with a group of friends on a rainy Saturday afternoon.
Very comfortable and cool decor (enjoyed the picture of Johnny Cash eating cake especially!) the server was friendly and accommodating. The food was very tasty. I will say that the portions are modest, so if you're used to heaping plates at a restaurant, expect to order a couple plates. Would definitely recommend!
Be the first to ReplyMy family and I went to try this restaurant the other
My family and I went to try this restaurant the other evening. It was loud dark and uncomfortable indoor seating. We ordered guacamole and chips to share. Very SMALL portions the chips were only enough for one person and they served two tiny amounts of hot sauce in shot glass sized jars. They served us one cup of guacamole and charged $15 !! We all had drinks first and they came in heavy cups and were mostly ice. They were two sip drinks that seemed like they had maybe a 1/2 shot of alcohol in them. The most DISAPPOINTING part was the enchilada. I ordered one to try and it came with no rice, no beans and was the size of my palm. They served it COLD the cheese wasn't even melted. At that point two of us decided to not even order food because the enchilada was so bad. NOT vegetarian friendly. We told the manager how bad the food was and she discounted us the enchilada. $76 dollars for a couple drinks and one meal !! We went home hungry, sober and disappointed. WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Be the first to ReplyI love the vibes of this restaurant.
The staff is professional, attentive, polite, and friendly. Also, they pay close attention to their guests allergiesThis restaurant serves prime, artistic, creative, and of course the tastiest tacos. Honestly, they serve the TASTIEST and cleanest tacos I've ever had. I am addicted to the Baja Fish Taco, Octopus Taco, and Al Pastor Taco. Their drinks are balanced. I visited them this past weekend, and they are serving a Blood Orange margarita which was refreshing, smoky and silky. This is an authentic taqueria, so expect to pay accordingly. All in all, I 100% recommend this place.
Be the first to ReplyVERY EXPENSIVE.
Tiny expensive tacos & delicious expensive drinks. Don't go if you're on a budget. The place should really, at least, provide free chips and salsa, considering how much the final bill will be. But no. Oh well, at least the food was all interesting and delicious, which, perhaps, is what restaurants are supposed to be. But I have to admit, I was regretting not going to ElCoyote just up the street. Even though I would feel way fatter afterwards. Check this place out, but treat it like a fancy restaurant night. Because that's what you'll be paying.Disclaimer: I took an edible before this review

The food is delish they should have more 5 stars! I'm super picky and I would like to commend this place to everyone who wants to eat authentic tacos. Service was amazing too ! Ambiance bar was perfect.
Be the first to ReplyI loved the atmosphere of this restaurant.
They have indoor and outdoor seating. Dog friendly outside. Their decor gives you a sense of being "outdoors" when eating inside. We had reservation for 8 people around 7p and had a live dj playing. But it wasn't overly-loud music.I can only speak for what I did try. I ordered the oaxacan old fashioned which they use tequila instead of whisky. For food, I had the chips with guacamole and salsa, empanadas, and sampled the rainbow cauliflower nachos. They will refill your salsa and chips as much as you want. It's enough to share with maybe 3 people if you want the guac. Empanadas came in 3. It was very good and had a little smokiness to it. The server raved about the rainbow cauliflower nachos but I honestly didn't think it was anything special. They top it off with some crispy dehydrated kale so make sure you like that!My BF got two tacos. He said they were good but for the price (approx $9 for 1), they could have been a little bigger. The amount of meat he got on his tacos felt just a little scarce for the price. If we didn't have the chips and nachos, he definitely would have needed to order another taco. Overall I enjoyed the vibe of the place but for the price of everything, I thought it was just okay. Nothing really stuck out too much for me. My friends did order different dishes and they seemed enjoy it, but I can't speak to those.
Be the first to ReplyI came to this place for the New Years event they had.
It was a good time. The food was good and the drinks was good too. The atmosphere was great. Met a couple regulars while I was there. I do recommend this place for a good quick stop for after work and to meet up with some friends.
Be the first to ReplyThis is one of my favorite spots in LA.
The food doesn't ever disappoint and it is always delicious. I had the best service I had ever had the last time I went in. The vibes are always fantastic. If you haven't stopped in here definitely do yourself a favor and go grab a couple tacos

I really enjoy this place, especially sitting at one of the high tops along the wall. It's lively, the cauliflower and kale nachos are now a persistent craving, and the drinks are great. I have always been pleased with the service from hosts to servers. Back of house delivers a consistent quality in the food/drink.I'd be in trouble if I lived walking distance.
Be the first to ReplyTasty food and drinks.
But in my opinion, way over priced. Two small street tacos, a beer, cocktail plus chips & guacamole cost more than $70 including tip. Quality Mexican food is available all over this City for substantially less.
