Giving this place a 3 star rating not because of the food
Giving this place a 3 star rating not because of the food quality but because it did not really compare to other places we tried in Paris and Nice. We were hoping for local Nice dishes, but they were mostly seafood and Japanese fusion food. I'd greatly recommend the clams cooked in wine. The tom yum fish was also really unique.(also my partner got the fried chicken: TBH I knew I would regret it. I don't know why I did it. Don't do that. Just suck it up and eat the seafood even if you're not a seafood person. You'll have less regrets.)

I had walked past this place a few times while going to Nice and never really paid attention to it. After looking through the Michelin's website for a restaurant, I decided to give this place a try.It's very good. We went there 2 days in a row and tried all the dishes, with the exception of the beef-roll, since we were fish focussed. The ceviche were amazing, with really different tastes. Oysters were as expected, salmon sashimi, tuna tartar, ... all on par with the ceviche.The service is fast and sitting at the counter for two days in a row allowed us to also see how things were prepared. The kitchen was very organised and the chef quite demanding - checking everything and sometimes catching a missing leaf or a not well adjusted portion. This is probably the only way that this restaurant manages to churn out the good food so quickly.Overall, definitively a place to recommend.

Amazing ceviche, best place in Nice for lunch hands down! We ordered the lunch special with a side and dessert. Great amount of food, both ceviches were delicious. The whitefish had an umami, spicy flavor profile. The scallop ceviche was more fruity and tangy. The almond dessert was so delicious as well, I believe it was an almond cake with strawberries. Next time I am in Nice we will define be coming back. This place is a must try!

Showed up 10 minutes before they opened at 7:00pm and there was already a line of about 12 people. Thankfully we beat the rush that all showed up a few minutes after we did. Sat outside and it was a great environment. Promptly served croissants with seaweed inside and they were excellent. My wife and I ordered: scallops ceviche, grilled corn with cheese/aioli sauce, eggplant, marinated sardines. Absolutely loved everything. The ceviche was our favorite but it was tough to pick. Would absolutely recommend to anyone!

The customer service is the worst. We asked something about the food and then my friend said she didn't want it and would just go for something else. He cursed in her face and rolled his eyes. He brought the water and slammed the glasses on the table. At this point we were a bit shook. He didn't talk to us for the rest of the meal, I guess that's a blessing.

Looking for seafood in Nice and checking with the bib gourmetan list, peixes was open and available. First off, they do not take reservations and are first come first serve. We ordered nearly everything on the menu. Everything was good but nothing mind blowingly great. We started with oysters which were all fresh, served with a slice of lemon. For the ceviches (which were more of crudos), we did the scallop and octopus/sea bream. Scallop was soft and tender with a nice pompgranite and orange glaze. The octopus/sea bream in more traditional lemon citrus.Sashimi the bonito was fine. Nothing special but not anything better quality wise that i couldnt get at the fish marlet at home.Clams were great in an excellent white wine sauce. However, the clams were pretty tiny and maybe only 20 total. A little sparse but lots of flavor.We shared the pollock, octopus, and tempura chicken as mains. Tempura wasnt any different from a chicken karagge. Octopus couscous was faily bitter and unenjoyable. The pollock had good flavor and would order again.All in all, abit disappointed but food in Nice over all has been pretty disappointing. If you are in the area try it, but if you need to wait, likely move on.

A no bullshit restaurant with very well thought out dishes and amazing components. Service is incredibly welcoming and caring. This place is run beautifully with a very nice service team that cares about their food and their people. The kitchen seems to have a great view on food and ingredients as well as a creative tongue.

My party came for the food which I tasted and was fabulous. I came for one thing, the Oysters Fine de Claire No 3. I personally believe that the best Oysters come from France. I'm proven right with every visit.I have read alot about these Oysters and everything I read was true. The first thing is pass on the cocktail sauce, horseradish, or vinegrettes. Try it alone or with a few drops of lemon. I opted to enjoy them alone. Every oyster confirmed what I already expected. Heavenly! You can taste the environment they were cultivated in. The sea salt, an earthy nuttiness and soft flesh.If you are an Oyster liver like me. You will not miss this fine opportunity in Nice.

This establishment has the potential of earning a Michelin Star. Best scallops carpaccio I've tasted anywhere. Best tuna tartare I've tasted anywhere -- it is served mixed with fried wasabi peas! There's a dish of chopped oysters, shrimps, and other fresh seafood served on oyster shells topped with a foam. There a dish of octopus served in a dome cover that releases the steam and aroma when lifted. Great seafood dishes. But they also had a hanger steak done really tender, wrapped in Japanese seaweed, with sides of grilled parsnip and kale baked crunchy. The swordfish carpaccio was very good too, but could've been presented better. We went here twice for dinner in our very short time in Nice.

I think about this place all the time and dream of the amazing seafood options - the best clams and ceviche! Every dish was BEAUTIFUL and had an exquisite balance of different flavors. The menu has a lot of Asian influence as well which was really interesting to see.

Happy was able to find this restaurant. Small restaurant in a very busy area. Number of staff is quite limited so you just have to be patient and wait your turn (just like in all other restaurant in the area) loved everything that we ordered. Can't say that enough. The clams were so good with the butter. The swordfish was tasty. The scallop and the sauce was great. The fish of the day tom yum was a winner. Would definitely go back if we had more time.

On the one hand, you can see the care and pride they take in their food. ย On the other, it was good but not as sensational as other reviews would have you believe. We had oysters, several tartars and some soup. ย They were all solid, but not the level of seafood we had in other locations such as in Marseille. The wine was also good, as was the local, organic beer. Overall one of the better experiences in Nice, but not mind blowing. ย In terms of flavor, if you've ever had raw seafood in the northwest/northeast United States, Japan, or Korea you'll likely be underwhelmed by your experience here. In terms of creativity and aesthetics, they do an admirable job and it reflects their skill and the pride they take in their cooking.

If I could have a food orgasim, it would be here. The octopus was wonderful, but the sauce and noche it came with were even better. Good wine selection. I would give 6 stars if possible. BON APPETIT!

It's always crowded but they turn over fast and you won't wait long for a seat. It's well worth the wait even if there is.
