Stay away !!
Overpriced garbage!!.Extremely stingy on protion, home fries were a small garnishment of tiny dried out miniature hush puppies with no flavor ! Eggs were cold and nasty ! $4 upcharge for French toast and I got one small slice of bread ! I had to beg for jelly !! After asking for it initially. The guy taking orders has absolutely no people skills and is only concerned with the money ! Absolutely disgusting customer service, Definitely will be sticking with the Dutch breakfast counter near Beilers Donuts, they have way bigger portions, real homefries and a lot friendlier towards paying customers !!

We visited the Reading Terminal for late Breakfast on a Sunday but instead of breakfast, we ended up eating lunch there since we got a seat at the Pearl's Oyster bar. Food comes out quickly! The Fried Oysters were huge and juicy! Great stop for a quick lunch if you're at the Reading Terminal.

Had the eggs Benedict with scrapple. Eggs and Hollandaise sauce were perfect. Tried scrapple just to try, I would have preferred ham, just no flavor from the scrapple. I also had the cheese grits, the flavor was good but the consistency still reminds me of wallpaper paste. Service was quick and would recommend for breakfast.

Great Chowder and Fried Seafood. They offer great fried Fish and Chips, clams, oysters, shrimp. Batter is very crispy and not greasy. A go to for fish and chips.

It was great food, cozy place and good volume. The service was very casual and not super quick but the food did cover all. Try when not crazily busy.

Food was ok nothing to special. Ordered grits and shrimp and a fish sandwich. My shrimp and grits only had one thin sausage and 4 large FRIED shrimp. Grits was tasty but wasn’t expecting fried shrimp. My husband said his fish sandwich was so so.

My husband & I love this place & stop by everytime we're in the Reading Terminal Market. Hannah was wonderful the last time we stopped by!
Be the first to ReplyI stop in twice a year for Snapper Soup and Oysters.
Oysters were fresh and great tasting as always, but I am disappointed that They have still not started serving Snapper Soup yet. Thier's was the "Best in Philly " as far as I am concerned, and I miss it .

I had planned to go somewhere else that was closed this morning but I stopped at Pearl's instead. What a nice surprise. The food was excellent and the service was so friendly. I am surprised that I have not stopped here before. I ate a the bar and had the Breakfast platter with three scrambled eggs, with turkey sausage that is bought at the market, hash browns and a side of French Toast, which was made from thick cut hallah bread. Everything was so good and tasted perfect. The plate presentation was nice and the restaurant was spotless. You can tell that the owners really care as well as the staff.

Was in Philadelphia for a wedding. Visited Reading Market. Found Pearl’s Oyster Bar. Great counter service. Nice specials. Try chicken & waffles.

We were able to sit rather quickly at this diner bar seating place. The menu changes some, so I did not find exactly what other reviewers recommended/pictured but were very happy with current offerings. The server was very nice and helpful. We enjoyed eggs with pork roll, veggie omelet and french toast. Very good. The food was fresh and cooked just right. Nothing was overdone or burned or raw. Three breakfast and two coffees for $41 plus tip was not bad at all. Will definitely come back if I have an opportunity.

What a great place for some fast seafood. Sitting area but fills in fast, Friendly servers. The menu is small but hits all the bases. Had the clam chowder and it was really good, added hot sauce and perfect. Too bad could not have two slices of buttered french toast.

My Chicken and waffles was just OK. Three small chicken white meat nuggets that were very over-fried and tasteless. The honey butter improved the taste. They serve it with ranch dressing (I asked for it on the side) which I assume is done to cover the blandness of the chicken. My wife’s egg and bacon was good with a generous supply of bacon.
