Great Breakfast Option
This is a great place for breakfast.Try to be seated in the garden area . We had a great time .Its always good to seat outside in the garden area. Molly was our service lady and she was pleasant and checked with us form time to time. High recommend the Sourdough Cinnamon Rolls. The Super Simple Sandwich was also great The coffee from Black and Brew is also great .

Fantastic cafe, champagne bar, bookshop and restaurant. They also hade a perfume testing when I was there. Separate tea store if you are in to tea. Also a cool store with designed home interior.

awesome coffee, gorgeous location. parking can be an issue - you can’t use the nearby garage. i had an affogato, which was delicious.
Be the first to Reply1st visit, but I will return!
I was there for Lisa Scottoline’s book event on March 26, 2024, & was so happy when I received an email offer for dinner before the event. I made a 4:15pm reservation online, got confirmation & it was perfect from the moment I walked inside. My server was Perla B. She was welcoming & informed about the menu. She was happy to omit something from my omelette order. The omelette was enormous with delicious sides. I was so impressed & really came here not knowing what to expect. I am already looking at what upcoming events Oxford Exchange have plus I am anxious to return & bring Family when they visit me. Oxford Exchange does everything well.

Very nice spot in tampa. Great option for brunch. I tried the whipped feta cheese with toasted pistachios and honey plus a charcoal tomatoes. Amazing each bite.
Be the first to ReplyWe love Oxford Exchange
We love this restaurant. It is perfect for when we attend matinees at the Straz. We come down from Crystal River and park behind the restaurant. The food is eclectic and amazing. We have also been there for breakfast when we have spent the night for an event and is also delicious. Reservations are necessary and you need to allow an hour or more.
Be the first to ReplySunday Brunch
Busy Sunday brunch in this popular place across from University of Tampa. Reservations are a must! Excellent service here. Busy and bustling dining room that is LOUD with conversations. A quiet couples brunch is not found here. Menu's with small print so bring your reading glasses. Fresh and robust coffee. No fresh squeezed o.j. Eggs Benedict are a variation of traditional with a biscuit on the bottom, braised short rib next, poached egg and fried straw type onion on top. Tasty but if you are expecting traditional you may be disappointed. The table was wobbly and the server offered a "wobbly wedge" which suggests to me that management is aware of table issues. Overall a pricey meal. My suggestion if you come here is to request a outside courtyard table.

Tried multiple attempts to schedule a party table for 7 for lunch. Followed directions on email response. Called7 times to secure with a credit card as directed. No answer!

First time at Oxford Exchange. Very good prompt, courteous and friendly service. The food was also very good. I would consider this to be more of an upscale restaurant but yet still has a casual feel. I would definitely recommend the Oxford Exchange.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing brunch spot
My cousin from the area thinks this area is overhyped, but the food here was delicious. Service is 5 stars and the ambience is great. I loved the atrium area, but just beware of the sun as you can find yourself getting a tan when dining here. My cousins and I shared 1 champagne bottle and got a carafe of OJ. Better value compared to the $14 per mimosa. We shared everything from the French toast, steak sandwich and the poke bowl. Everything we ate was cooked well and delicious. The French toast had plenty of berries and we had 4 pieces of large toast to choose from. The poke bowl had some really fresh tuna. My steak sandwich was no joke. Rich cheese with tender cuts of steak and the crispy sweet potato fries were perfect. Highly recommend coming here for brunch. Food and service were perfect. Prices are reasonable considering it’s downtown Tampa. Bathrooms were super clean and our waitress was so friendly. Parking is really easy to find. Even on a busy weekday morning theres plenty of street parking every where. Definitely recommend making reservations. I'll definitely be back to try some of their other brunch options.
Be the first to ReplyCharming … but why not ‘Americana inspired’?
Def will return. A lovely bookstore / cafe / restaurant / gifts ... with old world charm. It's a sunny, low humidity Friday afternoon and it's packed. We only have a cup of coffee. The place is huge. I first heard of it is from a book club. Many authors come here to read their books - or hold their book prom here. Interestingly to note that this American restaurant is 'European-inspired' WHY can't they be inspired by themselves, like old good Americana? Winston Churchill, the bluest blood British PM told his countrymen in 1955 "never be separated from the Americans." Ok, UK is out of EU but it's still part of continent of Europe. Germany and France are definitely European ... but ... don't get me started on this... Although the founding fathers were all from Europe, but USA has plenty more to offer and be proud of, let your own your heritage, since 1776 to inspire you. 247 years is short compares to Egyptian's 8,000 and Chinese 5,000 or 3,000 ... but how many governments have last? China has just celebrated her 74th birthday a few days ago. Oh I'm so off the topic Wishing you all have a great long weekend. Be happy and be well.
Be the first to ReplyMorning meetings at the Oxford Exchange
We were in town for meetings and chose the Oxford Exchange. Neither my self or my wife had been there before. Her group had chosen the location. I ended up having a meeting the same time downtown so I made a reservation. We were both pleased and will certainly return. Courtney was our server and she was wonderful. My wife’s group had Melody as their server and they said she was marvelous. Both were excellent examples of the quality the Oxford Exchange is offering. The food and the atmosphere were excellent.

Be the first to ReplyWedding venue
Such a beautiful wedding venue, I was in awe. No, it was not my wedding, I was just a guest but wow. Usually a bookstore, not sure what that experience is like but the checkered marble flooring made for a beautiful dance floor. The Short ribs that were served with the meal was very good, along with the salmon, yes I picked off others plates too to try. The alcoholic drinks were well made and the staff very friendly and accommodating. We parked on the street.

Awesome they definitely made up for last time. Our server Alyssa was top of the line and the food was excellent.
Be the first to ReplyPlace to be for brunch in Tampa
Visually stunningly beautiful spot for lunch right across the street from the university of Tampa. Great, super friendly and attentive service. Delicious spicy Bloody Mary. Portions are huge! My breakfast tacos and side potatoes were great and my son loved his French toast. Reasonable pricing for the portions. Clean restrooms. Cool bookstore, champagne bar and gift store attached. Atrium room is loud and being too close to a serving station only negatives. Will be a favorite if my son chooses UT. the champagne bar looks super fun. Very Instagrammable.

Absolutely loved this restaurant. Beautiful venue. Incredible brunch with delicious food. Our Waiter was attentive and did a fabulous job. Love the bookstore vibe, your bill comes in hardback. Would define recommend.

Be prepared to wait if you don’t have a reservation. I walked to the Henry B. Plant Museum and even took a scooter downtown after putting my name on the list. (They will text when the table is ready). The vibe is an upscale-brunch. There was lots going on, and the entire atmosphere is bustling. The restaurant is located in a beautiful building with lots of different shops surrounding it. There’s a book store, tea bar, champagne bar, etc. The server was excellent. She was knowledgeable with the menu and provided prompt and friendly service. Food portions were good in size and everything tasted delicious.

I made these reservations a month in advanced. I was really excited to have brunch with my best friend at a high end restaurant. Sergio had great service, but our food/drinks were questionable. My friend received warm mimosas. I ordered the simple sandwich. After a few bites I noticed hairS in my sandwich. at this point, I had enough and I will not return. No manager visited our table and I was just let down by my experience. Will not return.

I really like the vibe of OE. The place is always busy and the noise level was up there driven by a high energy and trendy clientele. Add in a bookstore, Champagne bar, coffee bar, and other "areas" - and OE is a very happening place! We were there for Sunday brunch and had reservations. We were fortunate to find free on-street parking right at the front door. There is a for-pay lot at the church across the street but it isn't open till church lets-out late Sunday morning. The other OE lot requires a few blocks walk back to the restaurant. The menu is filled with good brunch and drink options. I went old-school with blue berry pancakes and sausage. I received a massive stack of cakes (5 or 6?) and I struggled to finish two-thirds of that mound of carbohydrates. TIP: Order one order of cakes and have two people share it! Our server was excellent! We all enjoyed our meals and the overall experience of being at OE. Highly recommended.

The Oxford Exchange is a gem. It contains a restaurant, book store, coffee and tea stands and charming general store. The reason the review wasn't both higher and lower is because I couldn't separate the restaurant from the rest. Everything is a 5 except the restaurant which is a 3 at best. It is beautiful, but the food is nothing to write home about and the service was terrible. I asked for a latte, he went to the coffee stand to get it. OK I can deal with that. When I finished, I asked to switch to American coffee. When I was away from the table, he poured the black American coffee into the dirty cup containing the dregs of the latte. When I asked for a fresh cup of coffee, he didn't seem to understand why. He was overall one of the worst waiters I've encountered in years. This was just one thing, there were others.
Be the first to ReplyGreat experience. Worth the price.
I only give 5 star reviews when they're truly 5 star experiences (i.e. I don't feel pressured by reputation), and OE was a great experience. I've probably driven by this place 1000 times being a native Tampa Bay resident, but never noticed it or had been. I decided to take my wife to a Saturday brunch to celebrate her birthday. The atmosphere is just unique. I mean... you honestly feel like you're no longer in Tampa when you walk into the large, comfortable and well decorated building. Some people are buying books, or items from the shops (overpriced in my opinion but that's a different review), some are chilling on couches surfing social media on their phones, a guy was playing chess on his laptop, and many more were getting a cappuccino and posing on the cool staircase for their social media posts. After a short wait after checking into our reservation, the hostess hunted me down (literally found me across the building after saying I'd receive a call. Nice gesture. ) and we were sat by the fountain on the lunai. Many people were celebrating occasions as well. The perfect light mixed with the AC'd outdoor lunai was really cool. Nice chance to just chill and people watch. The server knew the menu. Literally could tell you the ingredients of the entire menu. He was friendly and polite and actually seemed to like his job (that's important to me). We chilled and had the feta cheese appetizer which is better than you'd think (try it!). My wife had an iced cappuccino to drink. She had the eggs Benedict and loved it. I had the breakfast tacos and they were great. Plenty of portions. Bottom line is it's worth the price and makes you slow down and take in the moment a bit. Also, the cookie they served my wife with a candle and the large books that your bill is delivered in (you're supposed to sign a unique message in the book) were both nice touches. Go give this place a try. Dress nicely but comfortable. Take a breathe and take it in.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing Food in a Great Atmosphere!
There’s something about the vibe at OE that makes you feel relaxed and at home. My wife and I had enjoyed our visit a few years ago so with us being back in Tampa we knew we had to go back. Well we ended up going two days in a row! The French 75s are amazing, and the Mimosas are excellent too. It’s not the least expensive option for sure, but I’ll be going back the first chance I get. We enjoyed the Salmon Dip (AMAZING!). The Brussel sprouts were good but a little dry overall. Too many for just two people. I had the Chicken Paillard salad with crispy fries, and I have to say I was surprised by how good the whole combo came together to make a light and complex flavor to the meal. The next day I had the steak sandwich and my wife had the breakfast tacos. I wasn’t a huge fan of the chorizo in the tacos, but my steak sandwich hit the spot. You won’t be disappointed with OE!
Be the first to ReplyDo not recommend if you have allergies
Today we went to have breakfast with the family at the Oxford Exchange and ordered to Sergio specific lattes for each one, because some of us can't have sugar, some can't have caffeine and some can't have cow's milk. When a waitress came and handed us the drinks, she handed them out without asking who ordered what. We asked her if the one was sugar-free, the other without caffeine and the other without cow's milk, she said yes, yes, but when we tasted them we immediately realized that something was wrong. Those who asked for it without sugar received sweet coffee, those who asked for it without caffeine received it without sugar. We asked the waiter Sergio to make our coffee again, however at the end of the day two of us were sick with stomach pains and nausea. WE HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND this place for those who have intolerances or, even worse, allergies.
