I was excited to hear that Original Joes was opening in Walnut Creek. I've been a frequent customer of the Original Joes in San Jose for 35 years. Not even close. They did a great job with the restaurant decor but are skimpy with their portions and flavor. I had a burger which was half the size and very greasy. They also dumped a pound of seasoning which was salty as hell. Where was that signature charbroil flavor. If you quality beef you don't need to hide with seasoning. The French bread they use for the burger was that cheap boudin flavor bread instead of that fresh hard crust French break that SJ uses. We also got an order of meatballs with some weird drizzle that looked like mayonnaise. The meat was dry with no flavor. Not near the quality I was expecting. I will give it one more shot but my recommendation is they send some of their cooks down to the SJ original joes and spend a week watching how they prepare their signature meals

Visited Original Joe's in Walnut Creek a few weeks ago & no matter which location I visit everything is consistently made which I love and appreciate. For our appetizer we ordered the calamari for the table which was lightly breaded and crispy just how we like it. For the main I ended up getting the Fusilli Pesto pasta with added chicken. The pesto sauce is creamy and it paired perfectly with the chicken. The staff has been great dealing with the new opening!

Everything was great, the food, the drinks, the service, the ambiance, everything. For those that are complaining about no reservations, phone hold times, lines at the restaurant, please crawl back under the rock from which you came. You are not special and someone will happily take your place; get there early, recognize that you are part of the problem and enjoy the experience... This place is NEW and highly anticipated, there will be wait times, there may be no reservations, but nobody is forcing you into this situation, and you will be rewarded with great food, drinks and service.

Pick your location.
The food is simply good all across the board. There is a reason why Joe's is so popular. Pick a dish. Any dish. Simply well done. Service is spectacular. If you need to wait for a table, then just sit down or head to the bar and relax. It's worth the wait.

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Original Joe's Walnut Creek at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Original Joe's Walnut Creek page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* FulfilledThread16, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* FulfilledThread16 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to FulfilledThread16 for any questions Peter may have as FulfilledThread16 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* FulfilledThread16 now uses their connections at Original Joe's Walnut Creek to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If FulfilledThread16 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, FulfilledThread16 receives the $200 reward which is credited to FulfilledThread16's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Original Joe's Walnut Creek!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
