Fantastic experience at One Steakhouse
My lady friend and I had a fantastic experience at One Steakhouse. Our server was a friendly and pleasant young lady named Mo. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and helped me choose a fantastic Japanese whiskey and Pinot Noir. We had the crab cake and shellfish platter which were both delicious. Onion soup was lovely, as well. We had the Alaskan halibut and 8 oz filet and both were awesome. Honestly the filet looked fake is was so perfectly presented. We topped the dinner off with Bananas Foster cheesecake. The service, food, and ambiance were all SPOT ON! Thanks for a great experience!

My girlfriend and I had an amazing time at One Steakhouse. The ambiance is beautiful, the food is prepared exactly how you want and the service is amazing. Kurt, our server, was incredibly knowledgeable and provided the best service we experienced on our trip. He knew the menu like the back of his hand and provided a unforgettable experience. The Waygu and Alaskan King Crab was to die for, especially when paired with the Maitake Mushrooms and Lobster Max and cheese.

We celebrated our 34th aniversary with dinner at One Steakhouse. The evening couldn't have been any better. Awesome food, the best king crab we ever eaten and superb service provided by Kurt our waiter. We will make One Steakhouse one of our regular spots for years to come.
Be the first to ReplyNot As good as Ruth Chris
Compared to Ruth Chris steaks this doesn’t measure up. The steak was extremely pink in the center for a medium and was smaller than expected. The bread and mashed potatoes were great. The carrot cake was superior! The service was very good and the place was not busy on a Friday night. Average overall for $200 meal for two

I brought my son and his friends to Vegas to celebrate graduation from high school and to get one last hurrah with the gang. We went to One Steakhouse expecting top notch dining and service. And the experience did NOT disappoint. Kurt, our waiter, was courteous, knowledgeable, professional, and attentive to every detail to make our experience amazing. Look, my family is used to the finer things in life and we are not easily impressed. But when we left, my teen turned to me and said Kurt not only made the evening better, but he was one of the best waiters we've ever had-- and we've dined at some of the finest places in the US. Go to One Steakhouse. IF you want a perfect experience, ask for Kurt. - Dr. S from Sugar Land, TX

Enjoyed an amazing dining experience last week. Sat at the bar with two colleagues and Johnny took care of us with cocktails, food service and conversation and laughs. I have dined a steakhouses hundreds of times in my life and this ranked one of the top 10 best! The standouts: Filet and NY, Brussels Sprouts, Rigatoni, Octopus and Cheesecake! Don't miss this one when visiting Vegas. It is inside the Virgin Hotel.

I visited because I was a guest at the hotel. Johnnie was my bartender/server & he was amazing. Funny, polite & knowledgeable. Great evening! Has the filet & potatoes gratin. Shareable side portions & perfectly done steak.

Our party of 6 visited this establishment and were very disappointed. Several meals were cold or undercooked. Our waiter was slow in getting to us, slow in getting menus. He never went over specials or showed us the steak cuts. Fernando was a disappointment, and we asked to see the manager were were asked Why by the young woman who came over. She eventually got a manager who was apologetic and then everyone disappeared. After waiting several more minutes the girl and waiter eventually cleared our table. All but two in our group left, just as the waiter brought dessert plates to the table. No communication about it, no asking if we wanted a specific dessert. Manager never came to check on us again. Worst meal and service we have ever had at this price point. We weren't looking for a free meal just an apology. The waiter argued and tried to say he had provided good service. HE NEVER APOLOGIZED! They took off a few drinks off our bill. Won't return ever!

Your $23 Chop Salad which looks like 4 Shrimp is actually 2 cut in half. I'm not a big eater but for a $23 salad, I would classify thing thing as a starter. Pretty small. Overall - it was OK, but I was not happy about the two halved shrimp which were the selling point.

Great work dinner! Very friendly and helpful staff. Typical Vegas Steakhouse. Many great choices. Located at the old “Hard Rock” - sad that the hotel seems like more of an upscale Indian casino than a Vegas Casino. Not a lot of people. With 3 days notice they offer a 16lb. Bone in Rib-eye. Feeds 10-12. Might try that next trip just to see the groups expression.

Just had an incredible meal celebrating my girlfriend's birthday. Started with the tomato and Burrata salad and a pesto sauce. For dinner, the Halibut is cooked perfectly and the shrimp Risotto is a must. Erick selected a great wine for us .

Debuted with The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s rebranding as Virgin Hotels Las Vegas ONE Steakhouse is itself a retooling, but unlike the property which embraces airline aesthetics the descendents of Morton’s have converted MB|Steak into an elegant 9,000-square-foot space featuring a stunning glass centerpiece plus elegant artistic flourishes to compliment a sturdy wood dining room.
Located just off the gaming floor, and toqued by Chef Patrick Anthony Munster, it was 6:00pm Tuesday that an LED-lit lounge was found just getting busy, the main room soon approximately half-full including a nine-top happy to defer their order to ONE’s recommendations.
Following a traditional route in offering Appetizers, Steaks, Entrees and Sides, several holdovers from MB|Steak offered as first courses, it was with Cocktails and Wine poured that bread arrived, Mickey Harden’s housemade Focaccia with caramelized Cheddar delightfully unchanged and wonderful on its own, though better with herbed Butter.
Not going too far left of center in the offerings, an elongated plate of Spanish Octopus with Broccolini and Tomatoes offering good char and great flavor arriving next, those looking for something more decadent would be well advised to request Chef Munster’s “Grilled Maple-Glazed Bacon” with a gently poached Egg while guests favoring something lighter can find it in cured Hamachi, fried Rock Shrimp or Squid.
Also adding two Salads, the Chop sans Shrimp outperforming a ubiquitous Caesar, it was with nothing but a few smears of Dressing left that plates were re-set to prepare for main courses, two Steaks, two Entrees and a quartet of Sides showing the kitchen cooking with fire as both the Porterhouse and Tomahawk featured a good crust and medium-rare center with the later robust enough to stand up against Roasted Chilis reminiscent of Chef Munster’s SW Steakhouse days.
Impressed by both prices and portions, Pasta offering Rock Shrimp bathed in Miso Butter easily shared by two for $42, guests are encouraged not to overlook perfectly cooked Chicken atop Truffle-tinged Pan Jus nor Creamed Spinach with a Poached Egg and stretchy Cheese also perfumed by Tuber melanosporum.
Justifying the price of Lobster Macaroni and Cheese with big chunks of sweet Meat, while Asparagus as well as Potato Au Gratin are competent if unexciting, it should go without saying that any chance to enjoy Dessert from Executive Pastry Chef Mickey Harden is warranted, the all-new Baked Alaska especially for those interested in a tableside show guaranteed to gather every eye in the room.
Going richer for the rest, Cheesecake properly textured and complimented by caramelized Bananas plus Popcorn, it is a bit unexpected that Triple Chocolate Truffle Cake features Mousse rather than a Sponge beneath melted Ganache, though it is no surprise at all that Chef Harden’s multi-layered Carrot Cake remains the best in Las Vegas thanks to thin ribbons of Cream Cheese Frosting and plenty of Baking Spices topped in roasted Pineapple.
Need to Work on a Few Things
We arrive at ONE just a few minutes before our 630Pm Sunday reservation. We were told in no uncertain terms that we would not be seated early. The two young hostesses were emphatic about this; I assumed the dining areas were full. To my surprise, the dining area was about half full when we were seated- leaving us to wonder why we were treated so snippily by the two young girls. OKay, then.....
Seating was nice in a comfy soft chair. The table was rickety, and rocked for our entire meal. The tables themselves looked like leftovers from a Don Rickles era lounge show. For such a high-end aspirational restaurant these need to be shored up.
A Mai Tai was tasty. Onion Soup and Crispy Rock Shrimp were timely and tasty. The Iceberg Salad Tower was intersting, with Blue Cheese dressing in the salad, and sitting on a base of Green Goddess dressing. Visually appealing, but next time I'll pass on the Green Goddess.
An 8oz. Filet w/ Lobster Tail was impeccable. A solid, dense and perfect cut of filet, and I added the Bordelaise Demi-Glace Sauce making it perfect.
A Hamburger Dinner for my spouse failed. She ordered it Medium well, it cam out medium rare. And did not have the requested Bacon on top. She ate three bites of it, but didn't want to send it back and ruin the pacing of the meal. She was pretty full anyways.
I did point out the failed burger, and Erick took it completely off the charge.
Service, other than the reception, was timely, unobtrusive and professional.
So- this place did disappoint, but lets get a bit real here. My meal was exquisite. They are brand new. They will get better. They have a history of success, being from The Historic Morton Family. And they made it right. I actually left a gratuity reflective of the entire bill, prior to the Burger Removal.
Are they a top ten Vegas Steakhouse? Not yet in my view, but I would not be surprised if they made rapid improvements to get to that level. The things I cite are easily fixable.
Hands Down Best Steakhouse in Las Vegas
Coming from a person who eats steak 2 or 3 times a week and has traveled the world, this steakhouse is hands down the best steakhouse I’ve ever eaten at, both in Las Vegas and around the world. Everything was perfect and beyond delicious. The 12 ounce filet was cooked perfect to a medium rare plus (that no one else can seem to get right). The 1200 degree grill leaves a perfect char that seals in the flavor. They nailed it! Our grilled prawns were exceptional and the Caesar salad and brussel sprouts were delicious! We topped it off with a tasty dessert. With all that being said, what stood out the most was the amazing service (something that seems to have been lost in Vegas for quite some time). Kurt was a knowledgeable and exceptional server and we will always ask for him when we make our reservation. We will always eat here when we visit Sin City! Absolutely amazing!

We had a terrific dinner for two on a Sunday night. We started with Caesar salad and their delicious bread. For entrees we had the filet crusted with blue cheese and a cowboy steak. As a side we had the cream corn with king crab. Everything was delicious. Our server, Kurt, was attentive and engaging. He made an already terrific meal even better. The ambiance is relaxed and upscale. Located in the Virgin Hotel, it is off the strip, but we enjoyed venturing out as well as checking out the Mohegan Casino.

Simply put, WOW.... Incredible Food & Service..Had reservations and arrived early and had a few drinks at the bar. Legendary Vegas Bartender Johnny was working and we elected to dine at the bar. Just incredible service and the food is probably the best cut of filet I’ve had. Exceptional wine list. Restaurant GM visited and introduced himself. Will definitely be back.
