Oiji Mi New York Reviews from The Last Year
Complete rip off.
Below is a picture of the pour on a $15 glass of beer. Come here for the bonfire of the vanities experience. $29 for two bottles of sparkling water. Dinner was $290 a head, portions so small I left starving.

During my weekend visit to NYC, my friends insisted on taking me to Oiji Mi. Admittedly, I wasn't expecting much, given my previous experiences with elevated Korean cuisine. However, by the end of the 5-course meal, I was thoroughly impressed - as were my friends and I. Here's my breakdown of each course: 1st course: Beef tartare: 5/5 Spotted prawn: 4.5/5 Pumpkin gyeran-jjim: 4/5 2nd course: BBQ calamari: 4/5 Striped jack Hoei: 3/5 Bossam: 4/5 3rd course: Chilli lobster: 4/5 Oiji bowl: 5/5 (an extra $35 well worth it) 4th course: Dry-aged duck: 4/5 Sea bass: 4/5 5th course: Goguma bingsoo: 5/5 Chapssal donut: 5/5 The beef tartare stole the show in the first course, while the Oiji bowl was the highlight of the entire meal. The uni, possibly sourced from Hokkaido, was incredibly fresh and creamy. Although the fourth course was good, it paled in comparison to the Oiji bowl. However, the desserts - the goguma bingsoo and chapssal donut - were absolutely phenomenal. I'd return just for those alone. Overall, I highly recommend dining at Oiji Mi. The modern yet elegant ambiance, impeccable service, and exceptional dishes make it a must-visit. Don't hesitate - just go for it!
The food and drinks were amazing.
The atmosphere of the place is comfortable and any table you sit at feels special. The service is incredible. It really is so apparent just how much love and care the staff puts into everything they do here, especially making guests feel very taken care of and valued. No complaints at all here!

Oiji Mi has been on my list since it opened and me and my wife finally were able to scratch it off our list. Thank God it is not just a hype beast and actually lived up to the expectations, however the one thing that kept this from being an absolute knock out was the portions of the dishes. Come here for a great date night, and maybe scope out the area to grab a slice afterwards. Ambiance I thought the restaurant was decorated very well, nothing over the top, but you won't have an issue finding an Instagram worth picture here. Service The waiter really was a star for us at dinner. He took the time to explain the dishes very well, gave really great recommendations, and was super attentive throughout the service. Cocktails The house cocktails here were on the sweeter side for me, however my wife loves sweet drinks so she really enjoyed them. I ordered one, then stuck to my trusty Monkey 47 dry martini the rest of the night. Food Steak Tartare ($24) Remember I said the portions were small? Well imagine our surprise when we saw that unlike other restaurants were you get somewhat of a decent rounded mound of steak tartare on a dish, we were instead served a dollop of tartare on what seemed like two oyster crackers. I really need to start including pictures for these reviews, because this was REALLY small. That being said, the flavors were on point. Oyster Bo Ssam ($42) *Must Order* Bo Ssam is a dish me and my wife were unfamiliar with, but this was so delicious. The combination of the raw oysters with the warm pork wrapped in lettuce worked amazingly well. This is a build your own lettuce wrap situation so you could eat the oysters separately and just use the lettuce wraps for the pork and toppings it comes with, but I would recommend combining them. Chili Crab ($26) This was a cold noodle dish, again, you will never complain about the flavors of any of the dishes here. The sauce was delicious, and the noodle texture was fantastic. Duck ($45) Flavorful, well cooked, but again the portionssss. Very small piece of duck for the price in my opinion. Sea Bass ($42) The fish was delicious with a great texture, it was flaky and the skin was perfectly crisp. It came with crispy rice and some broth which were delicious as well and worked great with the fish. Scallops were also included here, this is a flavor and texture bomb. Gruyere Donuts ($14) *Must Get* Do not leave here without getting this...and I usually do not get dessert at restaurants. The donut itself had a mochi like texture and the saltiness from the cheese combined with the almost caramel like honey was flipping delicious. Top that with ice cream and you have yourself a heavy hitting dessert.
Oiji Mi is exceptional, offering a 5 course prix-fixe menu
Oiji Mi is exceptional, offering a 5 course prix-fixe menu it stands as one of the best fine dining spots in the city. Oiji Mi focuses on Korean dishes which can also be ordered a la carte at the bar area. On our most recent visit we had; Spotted Prawn, Beef Tartare, & Pumpkin Gyeran-Jjim - the first course is 3 small bites, each one was delicious with the spotted prawn being the favorite. BBQ Calamari - second course was delicious, calamari was tender with the perfect amount of bbq flavor. On previous visits we've had both the Stripped Jack Hwe and Bo Ssam For 2 both of which are excellent. Chili Lobster Ramyun - for the third course was one of our favorite menu items the Lobster Ramyun. You can't go wrong ordering this, the noodles are delicious and they give you a nice portion of lobster on top. Wagyu - the fourth course was excellent. The wagyu was cooked a perfect medium rare, tender, and full of flavor. It was accompanied by a heirloom tomato salad and mul naengmyun (these are noodles in a cold broth) both were very good. Chapssal Donuts - the fifth course was dessert. The chapssal donuts which are filled with gruyère and raclette cheese and topped with cream fraiche were great. Only complaint is I wish the portion was bigger. Service is phenomenal and exactly what you would expect from a Michelin Star establishment. If you're looking for a special meal Oiji Mi is the place.

Just upon entering the restaurant you can already tell the first-rate experience you're about to have is going to be exemplary. The decor is modern and creative and the whole room feels like a scene from a movie. The service was incredible. Our waiter was extremely welcoming to us and very patient. He definitely knew everything on the menu well enough to tell sell us on. He suggested a sake that was very good and went well with the meal. The pace that the food came out at was also perfect. There was enough time between courses to have conversations, but not too much time that made us wonder when the next course was coming. The food was very very impressive. Everything was above par and Michelin star worthy. For the second course, I shared to Bo Ssam with one of my friends and it was probably my favorite part of the meal, besides dessert. The presentation was gorgeous and the portion was big for a restaurant like this. The pork belly and oysters paired so well together, I wish I could eat it everyday. If you don't have someone to share it with, I would splurge to get it for myself honestly. I splurged and got the Oiji bowl for my third course and it was extremely fresh and worth the splurge, but could depend on market price. My absolute favorite thing though was the Goguma (sweet potato) Bingsu. BEST BINGSU IVE EVER HAD. I literally dream about this bingsu. Even though we had made a reservation, we had to wait a little bit before being seated. I didn't mind the wait because it was short, but it was kind of awkward just standing there and waiting.
Oiji Mi was a cute place with good food.
We were here to celebrate our anniversary and can say overall it's a god experience. Worth trying - It's always interesting to see how they spin Korean food and here they take the modern approach. I'll say it wasn't 100% for me personally but I could appreciate the unique flavors. Service was good though expected a bit more engagement through the courses. But overall - good experience.
The dining room is beautiful and is great for a date.
I recommend requesting a booth to be even more cozy. The lounge area looked spacious and relaxed, it is also a la carte. I might try this next time time. We sat in the main dining room, which only offers the prix-fixe menu. It is 5 courses, including dessert. The plates were well paced. The first course included a trifecta of spotted prawn, beef tatare and pumpkin soup with caviar. All of these were delicious. Second course, I had the striped jack, which was very fresh, no regrets, but definitely interested in the other options next time. The oiji bowl was very flavorful. At first I didn't want to get this because I thought it would be very similar to sushi at Japanese/omakase restaurants, also there was a $35 supplemental. However, I am a sucker for uni and sweet shrimp. I am glad I got it, because I didn't realize there was seaweed rice underneath. Mixing everything together as recommended had the best umami bomb. By the fourth course I was bursting, but I managed to finish my seabass which was delectable, but the scallops actually were the stars of the show. I tried the makegolli ice cream and the donuts. I liked the donuts more because they were more interesting. Definitely will return.

for a michelin star restaurant, the food was alright and the service was not michelin star worthy. first, the waiter was so absent in the beginning that we were sitting there forever to order that i had to wave them down and ask for a waiter to be attentive. i usually like to give waiters a chance because i understand how busy they are and if they are bringing out other tables dishes but it came to the point where we were ignored the waiter that was not assigned to our table had to take our order. since then, there were multiple waiters who attended to our table after noting this. it turned out better but then they forgot to give us the wagyu supplement and instead introduced dessert. i then reminded them of the supplement. i think we had like 6 different waiters after that, and it did get better. but overall the service was pretty absent and not friendly. at least they apologized which i appreciate. for the food, it was quite decent but would say the portions are small. the tasting menu is a very safe choice and is not adventurous so i would recommend for those who are not as comfortable with different unique flavor pairings. i enjoyed the little bites in the beginning, and it was smart for the order they asked to eat because of how the flavors would be perceived in our mouths. the striped jack was a bit fishy but was super refreshing. the grapes added a nice refreshing crunch to the dish. the lobster ramyun was my favorite - a spicy dish with cold al dente ramen noodles and lobster pieces. this was executed well wagyu samhap supplement - definitely a unique citrusy soy flavor with the wagyu pieces. this was a good add on the glabi and dry aged duck were good quality but nothing too mindblowing. the goguma bingsoo tasted like brown sugar shaved ice and i really enjoyed how refreshing it was. the chapssal donuts were unique with cheesy and vanilla ice cream flavor but it was pretty good. overall, i would have liked the experience better if the service was more attentive
Has earned its right to be Michelin Star.
Recommend doing the pre fix versus the tasting menu.

Thank you for the question, if a seller is working on answering your bid, you cannot cancel it until their time is up and the bid is released back to you. The full amount of funds then go back into your AT account. Typically a seller has 48-72 hours to complete the bid.
