I struggled between 3 and 4 stars on this one, but I went with 3 because at the end of the day, it's a place that I would maybe give another shot in the future, but I won't be in a hurry to return, and I wouldn't really be disappointed if I never ate here again. The menu apparently changes often, and ingredients are sourced locally. Our server was friendly, and she recommended 3-4 plates between the 2 of us for sharing. We ordered the ceviche, smoked oyster and kale dip, the capellini pasta, and the pork loin. The food was good and tasty, but the portions were just too small. The $16 kale dip featured 3 of the tiniest oysters I've ever seen; we really had to search for them. It came with a chunk of pork skin, and even though we broke off tiny pieces of the pork skin to use for dipping each time, it wasn't enough to get all of the dip remaining in the plate, and again, it wasn't much dip. The ceviche was served in a small bowl pushed off to the side, with some 4 or 5 potato chips placed on top. My date and I laughed at the size of this $18 ceviche. The server recommended crushing the potato chips and mixing it in. Between the two of us, we each had 3 rather small bites of ceviche, and much of it was the crushed potato chips. The ceviche was fine, but nothing to write home about. The $21 pasta very tasty but again a rather small portion, though thankfully it was more than 3 bites of food each. After we finished these 3 courses, there was a rather large gap in time while we waited for our pork loin. Our server came to inform us that it was last call for savory courses. We were still very hungry at this point, but ultimately just decided to stick with the one remaining dish, and just order a dessert afterwards. The $37 pork loin dish was a larger portion and prepared well other than some large chunks of fat left on a few of the sliced pieces. They were accompanied by tzatziki, crispy chick peas, beets and other pickled veggies. For dessert, we had the sunchoke blondie which was pretty good. These 5 items cost $113 with tax before tip and without drinks, and we really weren't that full when we left. And that's really my biggest gripe. At this price point, I need to leave either really full, or the food needs to blow me away. And I really can't say either about the food here. It was all pretty good and tasty, but it didn't fill me up, and it's severely overpriced for what it is. And I can think of lots of other places I'd rather spend my money on food.
