Nopa San Francisco Reviews from The Last Year
Nice dinner in a chic environment
My husband and I enjoyed our dinner at Nopa. Everything was prepared with really fresh ingredients and tastefully presented. My little gem salad was so fresh and delicious, and my husband's yummy stracciatelli was piping hot out of the oven. He also had the lamb sausage flatbread, which was very interesting (in a good way). I'll have to say my tagliatelle entree was just okay, but everything else was spot on. We enjoyed the casual yet sophisticated environment of the restaurant.
Great food.
Great cocktails. Acoustics stink in the restaurant and make it really difficult to have dinner conversations. Staff friendly and helpful.
Finally came here for my birthday dinner and loved it.
Such good vibes. Their potato chips were so good, we were amazed by their dipping sauce is made of but i would definitely come back just for that. Fantastic service and drinks. The pork chop and the fried chicken were pretty good also. Highly recommend making an indoor reservation in advance as normal wait time is 1-1.5hour.

Food, service, and ambiance are all great here. Good spot for a midweek date night or bday dinner.
What is not to love about NOPA??? Let's start with the
What is not to love about NOPA??? Let's start with the food, the quality is top notch, the ingredients are locally grown and raised and ALWAYS fresh, hence the everchanging menu. And every meal is prepared with love and attention to detail. The chef uses local farms to source his kitchen, so when people say it is "overpriced" they must not know where the ingredients come from. The vibe and ambiance of NOPA is chill, but upbeat. The design achieves a warm and cozy feel despite the tall ceiling and big open space. They always have great music on and the decor is understated to allow the essence of the old building take the lead. Whenever I walk in, I feel so at home. It is hard to explain why, so you need to experience it for yourself. The service here is always great. From the hosts to the servers to the management, everyone is welcoming, friendly, good humored, and always aiming to please. I was just here on Sunday night (July 7th) and I had a special request for my friend's birthday, and the manager was extremely accommodating and made our dinner extra special. NOPA is unpretentious, even though they have earned every right to be boastful. It is high class dining, but with a casual and fun feel. This is due largely to the culture that is cultivated by the owners and the management. That paired with amazing food always keeps us coming back. The one and only downside of NOPA is beyond their control, which is the parking. Being from out of town, I usually need to drive in and finding parking can be a challenge. However, it is so very worth the wait. NOPA is definitely a TOP 3 on my list of dining establishments in SF.
I've had really great experiences at NOPA in the past, but
I've had really great experiences at NOPA in the past, but last night service was a bit off. We ordered 2 appetizers and shared the tagliatelle and for some reason it was all brought to our table at the same time, so the tagliatelle wasn't warm by the time we got to it. The waiter noticed and had it reheated, but it didn't taste great after that. Super disappointing considering the price.
Food was fantastic.
Flavors were amazing and unique. Had goat cheese, smoked trout, lamb flatbread, nice pasta dish and eggplant salad. The timing of our dishes was borderline terrible. After the apps it took well over 20 minutes from them clearing our table to actually getting served our pasta bolognese and eggplant salad. Once again it all tasted good. The biggest reason they aren't 5 stars is they charge the 6 percent fee which added an extra ten bucks to the bill. SF dining establishments may make you think they have to do that but that is not the case. You are apparently paying for benefits for the employees. Well then if the staff is getting benefits I just tip 6 percent less. It's wrong to do this. Just add the money on the food prices (which is reasonably priced for the quality btw). Overall great place and it was fully booked. Got lucky to swoop a resy.
I want to give a shout out to whoever canceled their 6pm
I want to give a shout out to whoever canceled their 6pm resy at the last minute today. You gave me and my husband the gift of a fantastic dinner in SF :) We had been wanting to stop by Nopa for a while but a cracked tooth delayed our time here. Luckily we were able to get a last minute reservation and enjoyed everything we had! 1) warm goat cheese: this flavorful cheese came with an abundance of crostinis! 2) smoked trout: tasted just as good as freshly cured trout from my friend's fishing trips. The smokiness was deep and delicious. The sauce was great as well. 3) spicy sausage flatbread. The presentation was different than I expected. It was lighter and yummier, not weighed down like a traditional flatbread. 3) tagliatelle bolognese: perfection 4) eggplant salad: sweet and savory to the last drop. Everything was so delicious that we did not have room for dessert. That's okay because we will be back to try more amazing dishes. Thanks for a wonderful Friday night dinner date!
TLDR: Whatever you do, get the pork chop.
And if it's on the menu, get their black cod too. These were some of the best dishes I've ever had in SF because of their flavor and complexity, and I can't wait to come back to have these again. Service was lacking, but the food more than made up for it! ------ FOOD: 1. [MUST TRY] Pork Chop (5/5): Tender on the inside, grilled nicely so the edges are crispy on the outside. This is not only a huge portion and cooked so well, but the garnishes they add to this dish are what complete it. The sweet tartness from the fresh fruit jam and the crunch from the sweet corn -- these made each bite of the fatty pork heavenly. There's a reason why this is their most popular item. 2. [MUST TRY] Black Cod (5/5): This is a new item, just added to the menu, and who knows how long it will stay on the menu. This was absolutely divine -- the cod melts in your mouth as black cod should, and the rich, buttery sauce for this dish went perfectly with the fish and the cabbage slaw. The caramelized onion was a fantastic addition to this, and the cherries felt random but they were still tasty. 3. [MUST TRY] Broccolini (5/5): A fantastic side dish. Great char on the broccolini, and the acidity from the lemon was so refreshing. It's not a ton of broccolini but the quality and the taste make this well worth it if you're a fan of broccolini. 4. Brassicas (5/5): Another fantastic side. There's more going on here than with the broccolini (in terms of ingredients) so if that's your style, get this instead or get this with the broccolini like we did! 5. Stracchiatella (4.5/5): This is a creamy, milky cheese paired with pecans and seasonal fruit (in our case, dates), and all topped with honey (which we asked for on the side). The mint they sprinkle on top adds so much freshness to this otherwise rich dish. The key is to get a bite of cheese, honey, pecans, and a little piece of fruit all at once -- it's a flavor explosion. Only reason why this isn't a 5/5 is because it doesn't come with bread, but bread really elevates this dish in my opinion. 6. Warm Olives (3/5): This fell short for me. These olives were way more sour and vinegar-forward than most olives are, and they weren't seasoned with anything so they just weren't special. However, this did come with two pieces of thick sourdough, which I used to eat the Stracchiatella. ------ SERVICE: * Surprisingly the service was a 2/5 for me. Despite dining at 5:30 pm (so not a peak hour), our waiter came back to our table seemingly every 5 minutes trying to clear plates and take things away (that we were still eating) which made us feel rushed even though the restaurant was half empty. * If you can believe it, the food also came out a little too fast for us. Maybe we ordered too many apps (2?) but our pork chop and cod came out as we were still working on our apps. I can see why our waiter wanted to clear plates, but I also wonder if the courses could be better timed? ------ ENVIRONMENT / AMBIANCE: * This felt vibey and bustling, like it was the place to be. * Tables are quite close to one another so be prepared for people to be squeezing by you * There's a great upstairs section of tables that overlooks the entire restaurant that I actually really loved! If you're on the edge, it's also a great view of the kitchen where you see them cooking, like, 20 pork chops at a time!
One of my all time favorite restaurants in San Francisco.
They've been around for a long time, in an ultra competitive restaurant scene, and it's still packed for a reason.
Disappointing Food at Premium Prices
Nice, bustling ambience but the food didn't live up -- grossly overpriced for what it is. We started with the crudo ($25) which was "2.5 ounces of halbut" but thought we were eating paper. Nothing there. The papardelle as another letdown, with only maybe 4-5 handmade noodles and is buried by bolognese which conveniently disguises the 4 noodles on the plate. We asked for the burger ($28) medium and it was well done and dry, nothing to write home about. This kind of food at these prices simply do not fly for SF given the caliber of dining options we have here. Will not return.

Maybe we visited on an off day, but personally didn't get the hype of Nopa. Rating reflects experience as a whole - atmosphere, service, cocktail, but personally wouldn't rate food more than 3 stars from this visit. My partner and I were in the neighborhood Friday evening and decided to stop in without a reservation. Luckily, there was room at the communal table and we got in! This was our first try of Nopa. The greatest benefit of the communal table is we got an immediate preview of what dishes looked like. We also had a great view of the gorgeous huge windows and Divisadero Street. Nopa prides itself on locally/regionally sourced ingredients. The restaurant maintains a daily menu- sadly failed to get a picture of Friday's menu. Nopa has a lovely atmosphere- trendy and classy yet casual, welcoming To start, I ordered a cocktail, the 50/50 Martini. Delightful cocktail - Great orange flavor accompanied by gin. Priced at $18. For food, we decided to try an appetizer first and then decide. It was early in the evening so we weren't sure if we just wanted a lite bite or to have dinner. We opted for the lamb kebab, $19. In short, disappointing. Ground lamb was bland and dry. Served with tzatziki, lettuce/endive and pickled onions, roasted orange. Meat could have been elevated by tomato or other vegetables. Presentation was lackluster. Portion size minimal. Wouldn't order again. Based on the kebab, and what we were seeing for portions of entree dishes at the table, we decided to close out and eat somewhere else.
Came here for Friday dinner for which we made a reservation
Came here for Friday dinner for which we made a reservation a couple weeks ago. Very lively vibes (a bit loud on the ambience side), and everyone seemed to be having a good time. The menu was printed for the day (apparently a lot of the menu items change daily with a few selections fixed permanently), and we ordered the grilled broccoli for appetizer, with Pork Chop and NY Steak as the entrees. More than enough food for the two of us, and the pork chop was one of the most delicious pieces of meat I've ever had! My friend really enjoyed the steak as well!! Wanted to try some od their other menus so will be back in no time!
Fried fish appetizer was amazing, brisket was solid, fries
Fried fish appetizer was amazing, brisket was solid, fries were a miss. A little pricey but would come back again for the atmosphere and to try other things!
Nopa is one of those places your hear about all the time
Nopa is one of those places your hear about all the time and there's definitely a reason for that. Even on a Monday, every single table was filled so reservations are definitely recommended. We were a group of 4 and the waitress did an amazing job walking us through the menu and giving us recommendations for sharing family style. The menu changes daily and a lot of the entrees are pretty large so definitely shareable. For appetizers we got fries, flatbread, and this tuna crisp. I would recommend the flatbread if you're a fan of bread and the tuna crisp had lots of flavor. For the entree, we got this lamb dish that was just spectacular; I've never had lamb that was cooked so well. We also got a bolognese which was good but just wasn't the standout dish compared to the lamb. Since the 4 of us shared, it was a very reasonably priced meal and we were all pretty full afterwards.

Nm. First off, there Nnaan here are huge! One order nn is good for 2. It4n x. comes out hot and fresh. So, don't forget to order the Naan. I highly recommend that. We had the shrimp korma, egg fried rice and malai kofta. All of the dishes were pretty good. I think we'll try medium spicy next time we come over. The staff was very friendly and the place was very clean.
Classy spot on divis for a fancier catch up! Good for going
Classy spot on divis for a fancier catch up! Good for going with a group bc their dishes are sharable "tapas" style Definitely a busy spot, so book a reservation to come. Main course options were good, but nothing stood out to us. Only wower were the dessert options! We all agreed we would consider coming back just for the dessert.
Nopa continues to be, in my opinion, the best overall
Nopa continues to be, in my opinion, the best overall restaurant in San Francisco. When you consider the food, service, ambiance, and overall attention to presenting an experience that represents the local region the best it can, there really is no better place to dine in the Bay Area for everyone (fine dining excluded of course!) I've been here dozens of time and I've never had a bad meal. I've always tried some of the new things on the menu and regardless of the style everything has been fresh, filling and delicious. But it's always difficult to deviate from some of the standards here because they're just so comforting and sentimental to me: the tomato baked beans and the broccoli are just perfect sides for everything, the pork chop (when it's available) is the most delicious (and generous) of its kind anywhere, and even the juicy burger will do in most situations. The wine selection is really representative of the local region and the servers are always knowledgable on great pairings for your choices. The ambiance can be a bit loud in this place so come prepared for that but I find it fun and lively. Also one of the best things about Nopa is that it is often serving food quite late (used to be until midnight at least... not sure if that's still true?) which is sadly uncommon in the city. If you're visting San Francisco on a trip this place is a must go. Also, it's a "must book early" like most good things in the city - I would recommend doing so at least two weeks in advance for any hope of eating at a decent hour!

Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate

Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Yes unfortunately they are finding more and more ways to lock up sellers money. Sell thru rate, refund rate, limiting withdrawal amounts ler day and per month (which for me are the same number which makes no sense). Lot of sellers leaving as you can see from the lifetime sales not really increasing. Most posts on here are frustrated sellers which is not a recipe for success

I’m sorry to hear about this - I’m a brand new seller on the platform and didn’t realize this was a *thing* - any chance you can point me to the fine print/documentation where this policy is stated (also identifying other caveats like this would be appreciated)?
