It's a kids restaurant not a serious one.
(ENG) The place is full of families with children aged between 3-12 who behave as if they were at home and unfortunately the parents let this happen as if nothing. Either you are a family with children otherwise don't even remotely consider this restaurant. The quality is good, you expect the price to be high, but the atmosphere is comparable to an house-party of a 5 year old birthday. An experience very far from the name Nobu.

I'm a fan of Nobu, and Nobu Budapest did not disappoint Food and service were great. This is definitely worth it if your stomach is full of goulash.
Be the first to ReplyThe best nobu
We know you go to Nobo because it's Nobu which is valid only for the food, because sushi and nighiri are eaten everywhere Tristolino place too expensive quality/price Not recommended non-professional waiters too unmotivated They slam the menu at you and leave without explaining or help in the choice The best are those in New York Nobu should take into account In Budapest there was a young man with a pigtail to be slapped In Santa Monica nothing to say, magnificent place with professional waiters
Be the first to ReplyGood, very good…
One of the many places of the homonymous chain that is popular in the world inside the Kempisky in Budapest. Impeccable atmosphere and service. Excellent Signature tasting menu but also excellent à la carte dishes. Everything from marinades to tartare to sushi is good. But the cooked dishes are also good (tempura prawns, black cod and beef), finishing with a chocolate cake with green tea ice cream, one of the best I've ever eaten. Good wine list, pricey but without exaggerating. For It pays to pay, but it's worth it
Be the first to ReplyThe service was terrible unfriendly and rude. The wine glasses were small and expensive.
The service was terrible and rude. Wine glasses were small and expensive. We ordered the most expensive dejistif And complained it was bad. They didnt care
Be the first to ReplyGood quality expensive food, the rest average.
The food was excellent, service average , rather tired staff, ambiance very dull. when asked for something to hold the very hot Sake bottle and not burn our fingers, they brought us a wet paper napkin !!! Not suitable for such an expensive restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyVery Quiet
A friend recommended we go to the bar at Nobu. We went at 6:15 on a Saturday night. We were the only ones at the bar. There were 4 diners in the restaurant and about 6 staff members standing around. Our drinks were good but it was just strangely quiet.
Be the first to ReplyGood food and location, absolutely unacceptable service
Hardly trained, almost rude waiters, often unavailable(chatting with each other in one of the far corners). Loud and very bad music in the almost empty restaurant. We requested them to turn down the volume without any success. We got the well rehearsed answer:company policy.... The food was very good even at their prices(expect EUR 300 for a dinner for 2)but could not compensate the behaviour of the waiters. They can really spoil your evening.

Stayed at Kempinski and tried Nobu for lunch. An excellent experience with great service, five star food. Special thanks to the sushi chef, who was a great conversation. Food is amazing, what you’d expect from this type of restaurant. Wine selection great.
Be the first to ReplyHigh end dinner. One of the best!!!!
Amazing food, one the of finest dinners i ever ate. High end in every way. 14 courses of chef dinners for tasting. Must go.
Be the first to ReplySOLO WOLF catches fish in nobu
Of course, I felt the need to check out this backwater lodge as I continue my solo travels. Great food, awesome menu. Although the actual restaurant could’ve been furnished to achieve a more NOBU vibe.
Be the first to ReplyOutstanding experience at Nobu
The recent negative reviews made me nervous but in my view they’re not justified. We had an amazing time at Nobu, with exceptionally well prepared food and knowledgeable and attentive service. The food presentation was also top notch. Many portions were quite generous, which was a pleasant surprise. The sake selection is decent but fine (and yes, sake is typically cold).

It was my wish to go to Nobu on our first night in Budapest. But in the end we regreted choosing Nobu for dinner. After Nobu in Miami and London, I thought it will be same as there, at least similar. First of all, interior is bad, basic small wooden tables, super close to each other ,nothing fancy or extra. And, if you pay for your food more than average, you expect something, at least better than average. We had degustatiom menu and the same, food was nice, but nothing special comparing with other Nobu restaurants we visited. Till then my thoughts were that all Nobu restaurants have same standard and level of excelence. So, it was just ok, and for that amount of money that we paid, we had much better food and atmosphere in Budapest
Be the first to ReplyNOBU? THIS?
Ok, maybe I took the worst things in the restaurant. But I mean….the edamame that I buy in the supermarket is much better. And when my sushi came, my first thought was: it looks like a sushi in a hospital. But then I thought, ok but it should taste better! NOPE!!! Really, THIS is a shame. Is there no control from the Nobu main whatever?? After being in this one I don’t feel like trying another NOBU. Guys, do something!!
Be the first to ReplyOVER EXPENSIVE & I CAN’T REMEMBER A SINGLE THING WE HAD.
Took my wife here for her birthday dinner. I cannot remember a single thing we ate. That shows you what the meal was like. I remember it was very expensive, I remember I told them it was her big birthday and to do something nice for her, they put a firework on her dessert and charged me for it!!! As I say, we had many courses and I don’t remember a single thing ( and I’m a non drinker). So it was an expensive waste of money. I don’t recommend. Budapest is full of reasonable priced restaurants serving delicious food. Avoid this and save your money!
Be the first to ReplyA Michelin? No, not any more
The restaurant is scandalously below average comparing to other nobus we have been to, couldn’t not even match up its quality before the pandemic. Besides fish and seafood being extremely slim (thinner than the ginger slices), a waitress’s attitude was so rude that she couldn’t resist the temptation to teach you how you eat. (Actually other waiters were friendly). Small issues regarding meals might always happen due to language barriers or mis communication, but it was not the chef, nor waiter, nor guests’ fault. It is never a problem. But who gave you right to rudely abrupt the guest as if you were the boss? The taste of food was ok, but it was certain people in the restaurant that make you wonder why spent tons of money experiencing a dinner that could be found in all Japanese restaurants.

This was our second experience eating at Nobu. Equally as good as the first time. Fresh excellently prepared and presented dishes paired with knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful wait people. We enjoyed our upstairs seating and will definitely return
Be the first to ReplyWorld wide consistency
Far from home, overwhelmed by days of lovely guylas, looking for something different. Off we went to Nobu, a brand we know well at home. Certainly we were not disappointed. The brand has a consistency across the globe. Her in Budapest, the food was delicious, the service didn’t miss a beat. This meal was a happy experience. Highly recommended

The sushi was excellent. The restaurant has great decor and the service was fantastic. The food was expensive but worth it.
Be the first to ReplyIt’s an average sushi with good dating feel
It’s my first time at Nobu. I’ve had sushi delivered from Nobu New York and that’s the only experience in terms of other Nobu experience.
As a Japanese, I am critical to my own food. And sushi at this place was so- so. I had soft shell crab sushi far from what I can get at an mid-level sushi place in New York. Not crispy, hot, nothing specials. I asked for lobster sashimi as an appetizer which wasn’t available so I got hamachi with jalapeño. That was good. I don’t think they use Japanese rice either. I got a bowl of rice with sashimi and it was okay. It’s sort of surprising that Michelin mentions this place. But the good part was it was around $120 for one person for dinner with a full menu. Probably one of the cheapest Nobu experience. And how cool it is to have it in Budapest!?
High cuisine in budapest
Nice place. Super vogue. Good service and design. Not cheap, but do not pretend to be cheap. So its ok. Was there for lunch with business partners.
Be the first to ReplyNo table for you
The restaurant is located at the Kempinski Hotel were we stayed. We went down to Nobu at 7:15 and were told that we cannot be seated as we do not have reservations. The restaurant was almost totally empty.
Only a couple of tables had guests.
It was clear that we were turned away not due to a lack of availability. We were told we could come back at 9pm….
I’ve been to many Nobu locations before. I would have expected them to find a table for 2 for hotel guests
Sad
Avoid, low quality rip off
Mediocre quality. And forced 15% tip on even for takeaway! rip off. AVOID
If youve been to Japan or a decent sushi place in NY
you'll be able to tell how low quality is is just a notch better than shopping mall sushi, but at a pretentious price
Overpriced
Medium experience, food was good but services bad. A bit too much to eat on the menu. Music and athomephere awful. Way overpriced for the experience
Be the first to ReplyGreat night for a date
Great night at Nobu. The food is amazing, the only thing that wasn’t great was the veg tempura, there are plenty of other great things on the menu so skip this option. Cocktails were really good and service was amazing. Personally i thought it lacked a bit of atmosphere on a saturday night. Very pricey but expected so at least the food lived upto expectations.
