Our friend stayed there for her birthday, so we called the Concierge and spent $175.00 to send her birthday greetings with a bottle of wine, a VIP amenity, and a Healthy Amenity. When they delivered it to the room they put a handwritten note from the "Nobu Team" celebrating her birthday. The only reason we found out is that she posted on IG her gratitude for such a generous gift from the Nobu staff. What!?! No mention that we ordered and paid for the gifts. When I emailed them, they merely said, "Sorry, we made a mistake." You're right - you made a mistake and that's why I think it would be a mistake to stay there. I don't trust them. (By the way, they substituted the $85 bottle of wine we ordered with a $13 bottle,...rip off.)
Be the first to ReplyNice service and such but this hotel is definitely not
Nice service and such but this hotel is definitely not worth the price, it's very tiny and the common areas are quite basic, no pools or jacuzzi. It's inhabited by rich people who really don't have any inkling of what's good value. I wouldn't recommend shashi is much better for a luxury hotel experience

I had the pleasure of staying at the Nobu Hotel in Palo Alto recently. Perfection sums it up. Greeted by the valets curbside, welcoming and helpful with luggage and assistance to the reception area on the second floor, where we again felt welcomed, offered a steaming hot towel and lavender tea and efficiently and quickly checked in. Danny offered up friendly conversation and information about the immediate neighborhood for our walking pleasure and where to grab a drink, (there was a lovely young lady at the desk too, sorry that I did not get her name, she too was very helpful) then to our beautiful room, not a detailed missed, the most wonderful beds and pillows, slept better than I have in months, very soothing decor, 80" TV , from bed sheets to bath towels gorgeous linens, the bathroom and water closet are state of the art and the room was immaculate. I had breakfast sent up, it arrived promptly, hot! with the extras I had requested and was reasonably priced. When we checked out I left a bag, they called immediately and had it waiting at the front desk for me to pick up. I look forward to our next stay, it was like a trip back in time, when staff truly cared about their guest, thank you.
Be the first to ReplyAC/Heater in the room absolutely doesn't work.
Someone came to fix it but was broken again after 5min. I asked to change a room and the heater was also broken. The whole night was freezing. I told this to the front desk and all they say is they are sorry to hear that.

I had the pleasure of attending an event at the Nobu Hotel, and it was truly a remarkable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the hotel's fabulous ambiance. Vincent, the Sales Manager, and the entire staff were exceptional. Their meticulous attention to detail ensured that the event flowed seamlessly. One highlight of the evening was the outstanding food. The chef went above and beyond to accommodate my dietary needs, crafting a special gluten-free sauce for my meal. I indulged in a delightful array of dishes, including Ikura, roasted cauliflower with jalapeรฑo salsa, and brussels sprouts with tomato salsa. Each bite was a burst of flavor and creativity. The culinary journey continued with yellowtail sashimi, black cod miso, chicken antichucho, assorted nigiri, and sushi rolls. The dessert selection was equally impressive, offering a sweet conclusion to the feast. I must mention the bathrooms, which were equipped with bidets, adding an unexpected touch of luxury to the experience. Overall, my afternoon and event at the Nobu Hotel were nothing short of extraordinary. The combination of impeccable service, exquisite cuisine, and attention to detail left me with cherished memories. I can't wait for the opportunity to return and savor another unforgettable experience at this exceptional venue.

Beautiful decor, beautiful restaurant, beautiful lobby! Everyone working was very friendly. The food was amazing, esp the sashimi and nigiri sushi rolls. I def plan to be back soon again. Oh and the restrooms on the 2nd floor are amazing too :).

I was in town for a vendor event and didn't stay at the hotel for the night. The conference room the event was held in was great. It had a great atmosphere and a good view of Palo Alto. After the event, we had a great social at the bar area with sushi and open seating. I had chosen to do valet because I would have been late for the event and didn't have enough time to find parking around the area. The valet was pretty you, and I had a bad feeling handing him my keys, but I did it anyway. The valet area was busy, and many cars were lined up for the valet. I didn't think much of it afterward, as I had a good time at the event. When I left, the same guy returned with my car, and I tipped him generously, as my car was only a few weeks old, and he seemed to have taken care of it. After returning to my office, I noticed the front right rims of my car were scratched up. This teaches me a lesson to not valet in the future.

Awful Experience - Avoid if you want what you booked, appreciate honesty and customer service, and like Wifi Avoid if possible. First, Wifi isn't working. It's a known problem. I'm on a business trip and need to use my phone as a hotspot for any work I need to do. I booked a king room. Walked into 2 doubles. When I called down, I was told it's what I booked. I looked at my email reservation - I did in fact book a king. When I called again I was told they oversold tonight so they put me into a double. So I guess the first time the lied and tried to pretend it was my mistake. When I asked to be switched the next day, they said I can talk to someone tomorrow (while I'm at work?) and see what happens. What was I offered for this issue? Nothing. Barely an apology. A gaslight and then an unwillingness to remedy in any way. When I pointed out they were still booking King beds for the night online direct through their site, they said those people would be put in double rooms. When I explained that if they know that it's misrepresentation and false advertising, they did not seem to care. I won't make this mistake again - plenty of nice hotels around here.

Just prior to Covid, I had an appointment at Stanford and booked hotel reservations at the Nobu Hotel. When I arrived it was a mess with construction near the entrance. They never mentioned this during my call for reservations. Dinner was great at the Nobu restaurant. For ice you had to call someone to bring it. I found out why, the ice machine was on the top floor that was demolished and very dusty. The next morning I was woke up by jack hammers just below our window This was just a little past 6 AM. It was so close the windows were shaking. I did not pay over $500 a night to have an experience like this. The same thing happened again the next morning. So my two nights cost just over $1700 with me feeling like I was in the middle of a construction site. I spoke about my disappointment and all I got was we are sorry. I got home and posted a review and the manager at the time, Alex Carnot called me. He asked for me to take it down, gave me some discount and said, your next stay at any of our hotels, we will upgrade you to a better room, just call me. So post Covid, I now travel to Palo Alto again. I asked for Alex, he is no longer employed. The current manager would not speak to me. And I was told, sorry Alex is no longer here and we will not provide the upgrade you are requesting. But on another note, they are still under construction and would place my room on the other side. I don't know co-owner, Mr. Dinero, but I have met Nobu several times in his early days in LA. The restaurant he had was epic and I would take our largest clients there for lunch with our national rep firm Mcgaverin Guild. Nobu would come out each time we were there and greet us. The hotel at least in Palo Alto has not the service or value of the restaurants. I will not stay at any of the Nobu hotels again. And I will find it hard to support even the restaurants again. I have read other reviews and see many complaints. So I guess maybe after Alex left, maybe they don't care, but it will catch up and hurt the brand they are trying to build.

I stayed here recently for a business trip since it was a one-night stay and I wanted to splurge on a luxurious experience. Pros: - Everything in the room is good quality, from the bed, bedding, the ginormous TV, the amenities, and more. It feels luxurious for sure. - The bento breakfast room service is fantastic. I could eat it every day. - The location is also really convenient and in walking distance to a lot. Cons: - There is no where to sit in the lobby downstairs, which is kind of odd. - My view was mostly looking out at electrical equipment. - There was a clicking sound coming from my room half the night and when a staff member came up to inspect it, they couldn't find anything. I eventually gave up and requested earplugs. Overall, it's nice but I probably wouldn't stay at this particular location again.
