Food Was Great! 7 Layer cake is AMAZING!! Service Was Great Coffee was great would definitely come here again
Expect to wait a long time to be seated.
No matter what time you make your reservation for the wait will be 1-1.5 hours. The staff up front will lie and lie to you so just expect a long wait. We were promised to sit within 20 minutes, 5 more minutes, just waiting for someone to leave their table for well over an hour. When it comes to the food the steaks are solid but my fish was cold and uncooked. I could not eat it. Prices were a bit on the high side but you can find reasonable items on the menu. The sides were solid. The ambiance can be noisy. There is no place to sit and wait your one hour plus to get a table and the bar is difficult to navigate to get a drink. I feel the lobby is poorly designed and I felt bad for the poor people on the table tops with so many people standing around them waiting for their tables while they try to eat. Overall Nick and Sam's is over rated and not worth the visit.
I've been here multiple times and it was good in the past.
But i just went there for my birthday this last time and it was a total joke. I was hoping to show my friends a good time who frequent steakhouses (specifically from out of town). The table was nice but I'll be honest about this place: 1. We spent over a thousand for mediocre and annoying service. They even tried to take my friends plate twice when she wasn't done eating. We had at least 5 different people hoarding over us the whole time almost trying to rush us. (We were there for maybe 1.5 hours). 2. The tables are so close together it's like walking a maze to get to get in and out. They are definitely trying to just make some $$$ cramming everyone together. We had to walk way around the outside of the room to get to the restroom that was 4 tables over. Also they knew it was birthday and engagement celebration with girlfriends. And there was zero effort in this. Honestly this is the first time I've been and realized how over hyped it is. You might see a celebrity or 2 but if you want a quality stake that isn't insanely salty - Do yourself a favor and go to Bobs or Perry's for better steak quality. I don't usually give bad reviews but this...was pathetic when you're paying over a thousand for a bill. I am not one who complains - this was pretty awful. At least we had a good photo?
Excellent service and vibe.
Wait staff was excellent and attentive. Food was exceptional.
Cracking evening with first class food and wine.
Fun, charming staff and possibly the best steaks in Texas. The atmosphere is always incredible and the restaurant constantly busy with a wonderful buzz that isn’t overbearing. The service team cannot do enough for you and as I done previously asked for something not on the menu and it has been managed without question. Well done as always.
Had been moving and was really too tired to get dressed in
Had been moving and was really too tired to get dressed in my "I want to look fake" Dallas attire. Wore jeans and others with me were wearing jeans. You would have thought a group of homeless people had entered through the doors. Valet had no problem parking my Tesla or my friends Raptor, but the hostess and waitress definitely had issues. Growing up in a family of restaurant owners, I learned at a young age some of the worst dressed were the nicest, easiest to wait on, and biggest tippers. Thankfully I can afford to, and will, go elsewhere.
My reservation was at 9pm.
we didn't get seated until 940. Im a Muslim man and was going to break my fast here. I was wearing my Kufi. Right when we were seated I was told by the manager I had to take off my hat. I told him it was for religious purposes. They refused to serve me because of it. My wife and I left immediately. Just sad. Hostess should have said something as we waited 40 minutes in front of them for our table. Could have saved us time and disappointment.
Booked Easter brunch for four.
Very disappointing. Food out for hours and not refreshed, poor service when all wait staff had to manage was drinks, as for dessert table....the photos speak for themselves, no response from restaurant.
We were super excited to get a chance to try Nick and Sam's
We were super excited to get a chance to try Nick and Sam's Steakhouse. 1 we have never tried caviar and to try it for free for the first time in your life? Yes please! To be fair it was not sturgeon but hello it was free and it wasn't bad! We liked it so much we paid for the mid priced sturgeon caviar to bring home with us and it came with all the accompaniments! Our waitress Sidnie was super helpful! She made us feel welcome and comfortable being there. She was helpful with everything we asked and had some great ideas to try. We got "the Cowboy" it is a 45 day dry aged 45 oz steak, my husband loved it. I got the 10oz filet minion and it was cooked to perfection. Our appetizer was 3 different kinds of the Wagyu we picked a low middle and higher priced selection and every bit of it was amazing! We would love to go back again but we'll have to save up for next time. This place is not cheap! But it was well worth it!

Tony's Pool Party, Mojito, Crab Cake, 22 oz Cowboy Steak, Salmon, Creme Brulee This was phenomenal. We were in the same private room we were in before, but this time the table was arranged as one long linear rectangle rather than the circle tables we had before. The crab cake was mindblowingly good and so tasty and everything you want in a crab cake. Good portion too. The cowboy steak was absolutely everything--perfectly medium rare, so tender and juicy and such a huge amount. My friend's salmon was wonderful. The Mashed Potatoes and Asparagus were excellent. Creme brulee so yummy. The drinks are so fun!!! Tony's pool party is the blue light up one, and it's so yummy and coconut-y. The mojito was a little too strong for me, but my friend loved it so I gave him mine too. Servers are so attentive and efficient. Always wonderful dining here!

My family makes this a MUST stop and eat when visiting the Dallas area. Food is always good and the staff are friendly and accommodating.
Fantastic.
When they say things are big in Texas. This steakhouse is as big as it gets. The food was amazing and Louise was the best waiter ever.
Treat yourself to a wonderful meal at Nick and Sam's
Exceeded all of my expectations. A friend and I had reservations for a Monday night at 7:00. The restaurant was mostly full, the atmosphere was upscale, the lights were low and we were seated immediately. We were sat close to the wonderful piano player, entertaining the patrons and were able to see a lot of the hustle and bustle behind the kitchen counter. The first item we ordered were Martinis, The Barbie and the Cotton Candy. The presentation on both martinis was fun and the drinks themselves were sweet and delicious. Next we enjoyed the Caviar Sample Plate and Park Cities Sushi Roll. The sushi was extremely fresh, the shrimp was crispy and all of the sauces were well proportioned. The caviar and crackers were fishy, salty, and moist, accompanied with crunchy crackers to enjoy the multiple flavors. Our main meal (we shared the steak) was a 26oz Porterhouse, cooked to a beautiful red/pink medium rare. The steak is cut for you at the table and served hot and fresh. Our sides were the au gratin potatoes and the brussels sprouts. The Potatoes were creamy, cheesy and warm, the brussels sprouts were just the right consistency of roasted yet faintly soft, the pieces of pork belly and the chili sauce were wonderful. We ended our amazing dinner with the 7 layer Celebration Cake and of course added the Cotton Candy! I do not have a single complaint nor would I change a thing. The service was top notch. Absolutely treat yourself to a meal at Nick and Sam's.
I usually live in the Austin area, but I went to Dallas
I usually live in the Austin area, but I went to Dallas with my girlfriend a few days ago to celebrate our anniversary. This was on a Friday night that we died at Nick and Sam's and I'm so happy that we did first stepping in I was greeted by a very, very nice staff, they always had a smile on their face and did care that you were being taken care of expertly. The ambience is very nice and very upscale really makes you feel like your spending your money at the right place but the reason that it is a five stars is because of the food. The food is absolutely delicious. I had a steak as well as my girlfriend had the king salmon. It was absolutely delicious. The food does take a little bit of time to come out so keep that in mind but you can always have an appetizer. It makes sense why it took about 45 minutes for it to come out because it was fully packed on Friday night at 7 o'clock, so that makes perfect sense and I can see why you need to make reservation and why it's fully packed because the food in the service is absolutely amazing. Come here and you won't be disappointed. I will be back next time. I'm in Dallas.
Pros Fun scene Beautiful dining room Great menu
Pros Fun scene Beautiful dining room Great menu Cons Packed in too close to other tables Valet parking was a disaster retrieving car
Came here with a couple of friends for a celebratory dinner.
We had a reservation so there was no wait. The inside is fancy, but casual at the same time. Tables are pretty close together, but we still enjoyed our experience. Our server greeted us and did a great job of explaining the menu to us. It was our first time so our server brought out a caviar plate with the bread basket and thought that was a nice touch. The protein platter was very interesting and our server did a very good job of explaining the cuts to us. We decided to go with the 48oz porterhouse to share between the three of us. For our sides, we chose the mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese, and sautéed broccoli. All the sides were great, the steak was delicious and so tender. It was also cooked perfectly. Service was pretty perfect, as well. We will definitely be returning.
Food, service, ambiance.
They have it ALL. I always recommend Nick and Sam's and I love it myself. This is always good and it's consistent and the food is incredible. Love staying at Marriott Dallas Uptown and Nick and Sam's is right next door.
in the restaurant, the whole atmosphere was pleasant.
The hostess and the waitstaff were excellent and attentive. The food was delicious.
I think it's a "one and done" for me.
I'll start with the good. Service was phenomenal! I love the detailed walkthrough of the menu. Everyone around us was very attentive and intuitive. To their credit, we were asked multiple times whether or not we were enjoying ourselves. The blackberry margarita was good, not too sweet and strong. We shared creme brûlée for dessert and it was my favorite meal of the 3 courses. We sat near the kitchen entrance in a dark area so I don't have any comments about ambience. I think the system was based on arrival time and party size. There's no way around it, the steak was bland. I wish I'd ordered a topping for it. The short rib appetizer was salty, but tender. I guess they balanced each other. The fried rice that comes with the short rib was absolutely amazing. I'd eat that as a standalone dish. The wagyu dumplings were okay, not memorable. Overall, I understand how reviews can be inconsistent for this place because I could see how some people are probably regulars and how some wouldn't return.
Our first time at Nick and Sam's
First impressions, too crowded, too dark, and too noisy. Waited in a crowded bar for about 10 mintutes...not a problem on the wait time. Once we were seated, our table was right in the path of staff and guests, not happy. Asked to be relocated, and with no push back, was seated at a better table. This place is mad on a Sat night. It's so busy and loud, but after a while, we started to enjoy it. It's why you come to a place like this. The waiter was great, the drinks and appetizers were great. We just enjoyed taking it all in. You saw young and old, high sophisticated and casual diners. Main course came and we loved it. After dinner, before we left, a manager approached and asked about our experience. We shared what we thought and he offered us some cake to go...it was a nice gesture that we took him up on. The chocolate cake was delicious and could have served 4. What we expected is what we got, and then some. I would definitely return! If you like to see a bustling, live atmosphere with great food, this is the place to be. Oh, by the way, got to meet Matt Jones, QB for the Patriots...you never know who will be there.

First time here.
I go to steakhouses a lot for my work/entertaining. I have to say this was the BEST one I have been to in as long as I can remember. The food was great, as you would expect from a solid steakhouse, but it was more than that. The service was above and beyond , small things . The presentation , the stunningly beautiful staff, great music and lighting . The manager stopped to check on us. The waiter was articulate and timely. They checked every box . I told my friends that this is my new Dallas place when I'm in town. Why would I go anywhere else . They agreed , 10/10 experience.
The food, service and ambiance were to die for! The service
The food, service and ambiance were to die for! The service is much faster than typical fine dining but we will be back ASAP!
Nick & Sam's is strictly for the non-discerning Dallasites
Nick & Sam's is strictly for the non-discerning Dallasites who love an obnoxiously loud dining experience of huge, overpriced food served in a plastic-pretentious clamshell of cacophony that rivals a 1970s Who concert. Very popular with the now divorced crowd that were once the balloon smugglers and scissor men of the '90's, trying to recapture their youth in a fancier joint while wearing loose fitting clothes. Don't bother dressing up for a celebration dinner. Patrons will be wearing T-shirts, tennis shoes, even shorts. It's a joke with the punch line being your bill. You'll see.
Best steakhouse in Texas.
This is the best steakhouse in the Dallas metro. You’re wasting your time going anywhere else. The service is incredible, the food is amazing, and the ambience is top-notch. Do yourself a favor and make sure you visit Nick and Sam’s.
Typical steakhouse
This is a well known steak house in Dallas. Met a group of friends for the evening. Because we had a large group, we could not be seated until everyone got there. Some were stuck in traffic so we hung in the bar which was fine. Good drinks there. But as people showed up, we literally couldn't be seated until we were down to just one person outstanding. Servicer was quite rude, not unlike what you would expect in an old timey steakhouse. Tables were so close together, it was difficult to get out once seated. It was very noisy as well because of this. A friend and I ordered a bottle of white wine to share which was taken away, not kept in ice by the table. We constantly had to ask for refills and couldn't really see where the wine was taken. Most had meat or fish, sashimi which looked ok. I am vegetarian and was served a spicy tofu vegetable dish which I really couldn't eat because the sauce was so thick and sweet. They did, however, serve a complimentary caviar serving which was the highlight.
Excellent Birthday celebration ended on a sad note
Once you get past their version of show-and-tell and get to the star attraction, actually eating the food, the experience is very good. Pricey!!! The steak tartare appetizer and the caprese salad were hits with everyone. The steak portions are quite large and easily shareable unless you want lots of leftovers. A don’t miss side is their damn good fries. Our party of four ate half the order; the rest were taken home. Do try the heirloom carrots. Like us, I suspect you will be glad you did. We were celebrating a birthday. I must say I was shocked and somewhat disappointed that such a high-end restaurant did not offer a complementary desert. Too bad that our evening ended on such a disappointing note.
Jam Packed but worth it!
Had a 8:30 pm reservation and arrived at 8:15 to a very packed lobby and entire restaurant area. We were told they were running at least 30 minutes behind. Surprisingly I was able to get 2 cocktails quickly. We were seated fashionably late by a wonderful hostess at a great table. Barbara was our server. She was quite attentive and friendly and did a superb job! The food was excellent. Overall everything was great despite the large crowds.
No happy ending
This was my go to steak house. The order was for a med rare chateau breiand. Was disappointed with the burnt chateau breand. They offered to replace the order but the wait wasn’t convenient.
Lovely place
So these fine dining places are keeping Dallas alive because this city struggles with good food! After three days of being unsatisfied with multiple places we went to we decided to step it up to attempt to get something in our bellies because like general cuisine just wasn’t cutting it. So that leads us to why we chose here. Our Uber driver recommended this place and so we went! Upon walking in one would expect a vibe, I meant dim lighting, greeted immediately then shortly seated thereafter. Now after this part there was a hiccup in our service where we were like where’s our server…but after my coworker voiced her concerns we noticed an immediate improvement. Now drinks, are pretty solid. I got the bouton iced teacher but honestly tasted like just peach tea soo I wouldn’t get again because it wasn’t worth the price at alll. But my friends liked the margs and the old fashioned. I just ended up getting Jameson neat because you can’t go wrong with that. So that’s that was that. So I love how they come out and do the whole meats situation. They explain all their types of cuts, prices, styles, etc- if you look at my face in the picture you can definitely see me trying to digest it all! But I loved it! We ended up getting steaks. Staff here makes you cut your steak while they are around so that you can ensure it being cooked the way you went it. I had to send mine back because it was a little too red but it was quickly fixed- my the other three steaks at the table were perfect. The creamed corn was also good. Also! When they ask about allergies please be honest! All ingredients aren’t listed! So my friend ordered the Brussel sprouts and they had like some kinda nuts on them and it’s not listed on the menu but the server did ask did anyone have allergies… so we had to send them back to be remade but we blame my friend! So please be honest with things you are allergic to. The green salad and the Cesar salad was good as well. They enjoyed the calamari and these rolls things as well. The bread is also fresh, and we were also brought an app at the beginning that the table loved i just didn’t try. I also love how they celebrate birthdays! A cute dessert and little show! None of us got dessert because we were too full so I can’t comment on that. The bathrooms were clean but just like the rest of the restaurant dim lighting. So clearly, expect to pay… lol. Two drinks per person plus dinner and a side can easily run you over $500 (four of us) but we all agreed that the food was worth it and was the first time in like three four days we had anything good in Dallas. Bill came and co workers said it looked good so we closed out. I looked after closing out and saw we had been charged for an extra glass of wine. I think because there’s sometimes more hands on deck than one our server stated that he thought we had ordered another glass but we didn’t… so he ended up comping some dessert for us to take bc it would be too much to redo the bill after splitting it so make sure you double check your bill before paying! Other than that! All is well! Dalton was an amazing manager and kept checking on us and made us feel welcome. I think our server name was Iam? Idk- but he’s pictured and he was great so please shout him out! One last slight negative was this girl who was serving the table next to me and kept bumping me. After like the third time of her knocking me i adjusted my seat but I felt as though she needed to adjust her path… but that’s that :) Got a cute picture taken orr my request by the lady at the front to wrap up the night and I finally went home full and satisfied for once in dalllas!

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.
Success on Short Notice

Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??
Tune into NBC News - Top Story Tonight 7:40p ET
Let’s go. Get more people placing bids!
I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
