Navio Half Moon Bay Reviews from The Last Year
My husband and I came for their weekend brunch AYCE
My husband and I came for their weekend brunch AYCE $199/person. They really be trying to get you w/that additional $50/person window seating. I'd say if you reallyyyy wanna do that, it's only worth it if you're 2 people b/c the table is set-up so you're both facing the window. If you're more than 2 people, and the way they've set up the tables, it seems at least one of you will have your back to the window. As we observed, a couple people in a party had their backs to the window the whole time. it seemed like kind of a waste of $100? but that's just me. We lucked out b/c we were seated behind one of those window tables, but the table was empty so we didn't have anyone or anything blocking our view of the window during our meal :) We could still see the boats passing in the ocean. OH yeah, we came on a Saturday when it's less busy since they only have 2 seatings while Sunday they have 3 (according to one of the staff). Our reservation was at 11:15am and I liked where we sat. Navio seemed to be split in 2 rooms, we were in the farther one and it was more intimate and quiet which I liked! We were only 3 parties. The service from Dante and Maria and was excellent. They were a great team. Dante was on it w/taking our next orders, I think they got it timed like they know when to come back to you and Maria was on it too w/clearing our plates, refilling our waters and coffee. Maria was the sweetest as well. The brunch came with complimentary bread, a juice shot/smoothie, and 1 mimosa. There's so many yummy items to pick from. Our favorite dish of them all was hands down the pan seared scallop w/truffle polenta. We ordered that dish 6 TIMES, 3 for my husband and 3 for me. We just kept going back to that one. Absolutely delicious. I think my least favorites were: the Belgian waffle and the eggs benedict. Belgian waffle: The portion was quite big. I was expecting a bit of a crunchy exterior and soft inside, but it was kinda crunchy all the way through. felt like I was eating a cracker w/whipped cream. The whipped cream was good and the berry compote too. just wish the waffle was soft. hubby took a bite and agreed. Egg benedict: the english muffin was tough to cut into, that thing was hard. We didn't have breakfast that morning so we showed up w/an empty tummy. The 1.5 hours was plenty of time to eat and try everything we wanted. we got so full! then the last 30 minutes was for dessert. A tower of 4 desserts. you don't have to pick and get them all. My favorite was the macaron w/the peach fillling! my least favorite was the s'mores cake. I liked the Mexican chocolate mousse in it, but not the other s'mores components and I left it on the plate, which is a hard thing for me to do. It was my husband's favorite though and he'll tell you how great it was. However, he was so stuffed too that he didn't want mine! You will leave full. My husband also ordered the Bloody Mary package, $40. unlimited bloody mary's and your 3 choices: traditional, bacon, and spicy jalapeno. His favorite was the jalapeno which he ordered 2x. Areas of improvement: -For the price at $199/person, I think it could include coffee as well. Coffee was separate at $7/coffee and we ordered 2. -Valet $50. Again, I feel for the price it could be included or reduced since we're only there for 2 hours. We enjoyed our brunch and service was great, we would return.
We came here for the Sunday brunch and it did not
We came here for the Sunday brunch and it did not disappoint! Super delicious and worth the trip! The service was great and the view was amazing! Complimentary mimosas, delicious warm bread, spectacular coffee and menu options were fantastic! Can't wait to go back!
It was good but very pricey especially when you factor in
It was good but very pricey especially when you factor in drink costs, the $50 pp ocean view seating (not mandatory and would've been nice except the day we went was rainy so we could barely see anything), and the mandatory $50 valet weekend parking. The scallop was by far the best bite, we ran out of time to try the lamb rack and beef tenderloin but reviews on those were mid so not a loss i guess. Service was nice, Dante told us about the two golf courses on site and regularly came by to take our orders. I do wish they gave us a warning that our 90 minutes of ordering was almost up before they brought the dessert tower.
I treated my bf to Navio's Sunday brunch for his birthday
I treated my bf to Navio's Sunday brunch for his birthday and they did not disappoint!! Once we checked in for our reservation, the hostess seated us right away next to a huge window (per our request) and the view was divine! We were then immediately greeted by our server who handed us a glass of bubbly to start things off. For those who don't know, their brunch is a 2 hour, all you can eat experience unlike any other you've ever been to. All the dishes were made to order and the quality was impeccable. Our favorites were the seared scallop in a truffle polenta and chive oil, the caviar tasting and the lobster in a beurre blanc sauce garnished with some smoked trout caviar. Everything was cooked to perfection. The scallop and lobster were so sweet. They were definitely a repeat order. While everything was superb, the only dish we had an issue with was the pasta. For some reason it smelled and tasted like bleached dish soap. We let our server know and she offered to replace it but we declined. The memory was just too off putting. We wondered if it was the food or the plate. Regardless of the pasta, the meal was a dream and we will definitely be going again.
Lets start with the end in mind.
The universe must love you to take you to this place and put enough money in your pocket to afford it. The meal was $150+$30 tip+ $15 for tax+ $75 (per person) for wine+ $38 for valet (divided by 2 since two of us in the car) = $308. That is of course for one person. But the saga goes that a great thing surpasses the money you spent and only the memory of experience remains. This was a great experience. 1-Taste - 5+ Amazing, the steak was fantastic, the breads were great, etc. etc. 2-Presentation- 5+ the presentation was again amazing 3-Aroma- 5 4-Quality- 5+ 5-Quantity- 5 reasonable portion 6-Service- 5+ all foods came out at the same time, the staff was great, we had a sommelier who helped with the wine, etc. 7-Parking- 4 - had to valet 8-Atmosphere- 5 great views, quite, the tables and everything was very well through out 9-Wine/beers- 5+ they had an encyclopedia of wines - again money could not be a barrier, but they had reasonable wines 10-desert- 5 very nice deserts. They even had vegan ice cream. great presentation - see picture. 11-Selection- 5 it is a menu fix, but they also had a vegetarian menu and there was fish, rack of lamb or tenderloin. 12-Hors D'oeuvres (including salad)- 5+ they brought out a cheese dish with sourdough bread and then orange Brioche. Like I wrote earlier, the universe must love you to let you afford to eat at this place. 13-Value- 5+ again, very expensive, but a life experience. The views, the food, the whole package made it worth while. Need to have more special occasions at this place. I had business lunches and their brunches here, but had forgotten how good the place is. The trout side sauce was very good, the carpaccio had a dry ice mustard sauce that made it like Adam Family dinner.
Incredible food .
.. incredible service ... incredible experience. We've gone twice now and they reminded us why we wanted to go back l. It's not something we get to enjoy too often but when we do get the opportunity, it's one of our favorite places to diner at. Both times, had a super nice view, and even though it's a restaurant, we felt secluded enough to enjoy a private conversation with the friends we enjoyed this meal with.
Easter Brunch at the Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay.
We have been going to their Easter Brunch since I was a kid but this is my first review. RC Easter Brunch is one of the best in the world and definitely the BEST Ritz Carlton Brunch anywhere...and I have tried oh so many! We ordered for appetizers: Pan seared Scallop, Smoked Salmon, Flavored Oysters, Flight of Caviar (two), Flight of Marin County Cheese, Classic Benedict and Blue Prawns with cocktail sauce. They were all petite sizes which were meant to tease and tickle our taste buds. For entrees tapas sized we had Westholme A9 Ribeye, Lobster Tail and Wagyu Beef Sliders. Lastly we ordered the Cake Tower for two with Four different desserts. We were also given a piece of Chocolate in a fancy Ritz Carlton box. The Easter Brunch was so worthwhile in driving distance, bespoke service and exceptional food quality. We dined at 10am and did not eat anything else for the day.
So I took my mom to what I considered a really nice
So I took my mom to what I considered a really nice Christmas buffet. While there she asked me if I had ever been to the brunch at Ritz Carlton Halfmoon Bay. She said, " I heard it's really nice?". Translation= " I want you to take me there!" I decided to take her for Easter Brunch. This was my only second time here and it's a lot different than my first experience. The first time I came for brunch 7 years ago, it was more of a " buffett" style where you went on your own to the tables and picked what you want to eat. This time around, you get to pick 2 items at a time and pretty much as many times as you want or your belly can fill up within 1.5 hours and leaving 30 minutes for dessert. The ambiance here was simply elegant and classy. Loved how they decorated the reataurant and hotel for Easter w/ flowers and eggs everywhere. A costumed bunny even walked around to say hello! Service: excellent! Food: Sweet like chocolate chip pancakes to savory pasta and lobster... Nice selection of items and well executed. My favorites that I ordered 2x were the pan seared scallop and the lobster w/ beure blanc sauce. I asked the server if the menu was different on a regular Sunday brunch. He told me not much since most of the core items will be there along with more seasonal items offered. There is a 50 dollar charge for parking. And the price per person for Easter was $255. Overall, my mom Loved it! I highly recommend the Sunday brunch here for special occasions. I hope to come back soon and hopefully before another 7 years goes by!
For our 10th anniversary, I decided to make a reservation
For our 10th anniversary, I decided to make a reservation at Navio inside the Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay, for their two-hour buffet, which cost about $200 per person. Upon arrival, valet service was available, and the customer service was friendly, courteous, and attentive. We arrived a little early, so the hostess led us to the bar for refreshments until our reservation time. We had to check back with the hostess to be seated, but once we were seated, the transition was smooth. Our waiter introduced themselves, presented the menu, and made us feel at home. We ordered items from the top to the bottom of the menu. There were a handful of items I was looking forward to trying, including the SMOKED SALMON (Potato Rosti Caviar), PAN-SEARED SCALLOP (Truffle Polenta | Chive Oil), BENEDICT (Canadian Bacon | Berarneiese), WAGYU BEEF SLIDER (Shiitake Mushroom), LOBSTER (Beurre Blanc Smoked Trout Caviar), Beef Tenderloin (Pork Wine Reduction Potato "Parmentier"), and Lamb Rack (Sweet Peas Fresh Mint). While all the dishes were good, one that stood out was the PUMPKIN SOUP (Pepitas Pumpkin Oil). Surprisingly, it surpassed my expectations with its rich flavor and delightful aroma. Admittedly, I may be biased due to my fondness for fall-themed dishes. The SMOKED SALMON had a nice smoky flavor, but the WAGYU BEEF SLIDER was disappointingly dry. The SCALLOP was perfectly cooked, but the LOBSTER was slightly rubbery. The Beef Tenderloin was chewy, and the Lamb Rack was decent but not exceptional. Overall, the dishes were good, but nothing blew my mind enough to warrant a return visit. The sauces were subtle, making them less memorable. However, I must commend the restaurant on their seafood dishes which were better than their meat dishes. The outstanding customer service made the experience enjoyable, and the decor was definitely Instagram-worthy. The view of the ocean added to the ambiance, making it a memorable dining experience despite some minor flaws. Ambience 9/10 Customer service 9/10 Food 7.5/10 3.7 star
Venturing to Half Moon Bay, I embarked on the renowned
Venturing to Half Moon Bay, I embarked on the renowned two-hour brunch experience at Navio, nestled in the illustrious Ritz Carlton hotel. Valet parking is the sole option, priced at $70, or alternatively, one can opt for an Uber due to the absence of self-parking. Upon arrival, a warm host guided us to our seats, kickstarting the culinary journey with a complimentary mimosa - a delightful bubbly treat. Skipping the menu, the brunch featured a selection of appetizers and main entrees, allowing each person to order two items per round. The variety was extensive, ensuring a taste of everything before proceeding to the next rotation. I began with a cheese selection and a decent yet unremarkable caviar. The standout was a pumpkin soup with nuts, delivering warmth and comfort. Moving on to made-to-order main entrees, the lobster and scallop stole the show, albeit leaning towards the saltier side. The filet mignon with a sauce and lamb chop were satisfactory, with each serving being a delectable bite. After three rounds, satisfaction mingled with fullness. Dessert options were generously presented, and any unconquered delights could be conveniently packed for later. The impeccable service featured attentive waitstaff, consistently clearing plates, and ensuring a seamless and satisfying experience.

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!

Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
