Delicious food, service could be improved
Food is fantastic but mains & sides are pricey. Service could do with improving, very little interaction or attentiveness considering a nice pricey Mayfair restaurant. Despite trying to get the attention of multiple staff to ask for a water refill, this proved really difficult and took a while before someone acknowledged us.
Be the first to ReplyTerrible Service & average food
This was probably one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. We were made to stand at the reception desk for about 10 mins after our reservation time, despite having booked a table. When we sat down, our menus were then thrown at us by the young server and then waited for a further 15-20 mins and asked ‘what do you want’ rather than any niceties or any conversation. Granted we had asked for something off menu, however we were swiftly told ‘no’, without explanation (the table next to us did the same and got an explanation from a different server.) We then ordered and I informed the server of a nut allergy, to which she ran off without saying a word. I was informed that I could have everything but there were potential traces, which is fine. The food arrived another 30 mins later and was almost launched at us, smashing plates on to the table and the server looked at us as if it was our fault. Truffle burger - tasty but for £19 it’s a small portion, vodka penne - bland, could have been made at home/from a jar, truffle Mac and cheese - bland and tasted like it was made a week ago, fries - fine, but £7 (you must be having a laugh). The server returned cleaned half our table and asked ‘do you want anything else,’ we were not even handed a menu to look at desserts. Luckily we knew we wanted the cookie and soft serve. Once we had told the server she ran off again, not clearing the rest of the table and then came and smashed down some spoons. Another 15-20 min wait, cookie arrives, tastes ok, bit sweet. At this point we were itching to get out, we asked for the bill, server comes over and she smashes it on the table, with card machine in hand. No conversation, no thankyou, no nothing. I honestly find it revolting that someone who works in customer service can’t even say a simple thankyou or acknowledge their guests. This was probably the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had, I definitely will not be returning here. Overpriced average food, with appalling staff. Might as well have stayed at home.
Be the first to ReplyPancakes are not the same anymore!
I used to love coming to here, the pancakes are normally my favourite. Not so much anymore, I’m guessing the chefs have recently changed. I used to love the dulche de leche sauce but now they hardly give you any sauce. The last time I was there I had to ask for extra sauce which was a tiny pot. Pancakes were extremely dry.
Be the first to ReplyWorst Customer Service experience in my life
We made a reservation 3rd Dec 2023, but here was an emergency and we would be late. We called 30 mins before our reservation time and left a message (they were not aswering the phone) informing that we will be running late due to an emergency but we will come for our reservation. When we arrived (20 mins after our reservation time) they have given our table without notice and the staff was very rude with Unacceptable behaviour. The reception girl (black with curly hair) was the rudest person I ‘ve ever met, yelling at us. We said that we called several times and we left a message what else should we do? Her reply was “Make sure you are on time next time”. On top they charged us 180£ as cancellation fee which we noticed later that night. There are other better places on Mayfair. Please avoid that one

Be the first to ReplyRude hostess
Rude hostess. Gave us a table then took it back. Put our name on the waitlist just to send us a message 3 hours later. Very condescending. Only go if you want to be treated like sh**
Be the first to ReplyOne of my go-to spots
A great spot for a semi-fancy meal catchup with friends! Probably my ultimate number one restaurant in london, NAC provides comfort food in all its glory with a great atmosphere and when it comes to dessert the cookie dough is a must. I would say around £40-£50 pp and recommend booking in advance.
Be the first to ReplyPoor experience at NAC Doha Musheireb
NAC Doha - Qatar - Poor experience! March 2023 Hello! Let me first clarify that I'm writing this review NOT for NAC London but for NAC Doha-Musheireb Downtown (Qatar) where me and my wife visited with our 6 year old and very disciplined daughter. Here are my observations. 1. The food was good and the price range was normal compared to the quality of food presented. If i want to score the food experience I would score 8/10. 2. I recommend you don't take a child with you to this restaurant in Doha. There wasn't any attention given to our child as if they never cared about how a child would experience dining. This restaurant is a child-intolerant place (at least what we experienced) 3. There was a Lebanese lady on the reception who spoiled our experience right from the start of dining. Definitely, she wasn't aware that her poor body language/fake smile could be easily noticed by experienced customers like us. This is other than the fact that upon having our seats, she immediately jumped in and did 'what seemed to be her routine attempts' of getting our contact number and name in the first 1 minute of entering into this restaurant. We felt we were in a training registration center or a police department that would ask us to disclose our identity. A big turn-off I would say! 4. The food was presented very beautifully by an Asian staff who was the only person who genuinely smiled and served us. The speed of service was very good as we ordered 7 items (including main dish, siders and best-selling dessert, 2 tropical juices and a soft drink. All came within few minutes) 5. It was the first day of Ramadan and we were the ONLY customers dining around 7:15pm, all tables were free and hence a speedy service (probably). At this time of the year, my wife hasn't been feeling well and she used to carry a small sparkling water bottle with her througout the places which she accidently placed it on the table while we started dining. However, the Lebanese lady spoiled our experience by approaching with her fake smile and telling me that she needs to collect the sparkling water and keep it away until we leave because, as she said, this was not allowed in their restaurant. Even though we missed this detail but we also understood the fact that drinking Perrier (the only type of sparkling water my wife would use for her health benefit) is not appropriate to their brand name seemingly, however, we were disappointed by the poor and so direct approach the Lebanese lady demonstrated which was perceived as unacceptable, rude and not pro-active at all. Customer-centric service mentality would address such things in a better context. Probably, out of 1000 customers only one would possibly carry a sparkling water and that for a private health reason. She could have absorbed this situation specially that we were the only customers in the restaurant and it was our first experience there (most customers attend restaurants after 8:30pm during Ramadan). Until this stage, we were thinking to repeat our experience in this restaurant but after this scenario, no way! 6. The few Arab staff (probably the supervisor - I guess not Lebanese) gave us the impression that we were not 'welcomed' in this restaurant. No smile, too much staring with his eyes and moving around for unnecessary reasons. We really felt we were under a spot of a human camera. Our experience of dining in various countries and different prestigious restaurants never ended-up with such an unpleasant experience to the extent that upon leaving, I only could look at the asian staff and thank him alone, avoiding the lady and the rest of the untrained, and unapproachable staff. As I train corporates about customer service and delight, I put restaurant staff into three categories: 1)passive 2) average and 3)pro-active. Definitely, NAC Doha staff only showed a passive attitude. They may not be as such always, but what I experienced is what matters now. They say , when one experiences a good approach in any service provision, he/she will tell 1 person about it, but if the experience is frustrating, they will tell about it to a minimum of 10 people. In my case that number can be thousands of people I train in business. Definitely, these staff had shown low emotional and social intelligence in such an encounter with customers, me not being a demanding customer but probably an analytical one. Experiencing such a poor approach as a family is a good reason for frustration from such businesses. 7. Finally, I recommend this NAC Doha for those who never care about service mentality and etiquette but only good food.
Be the first to ReplyI will not go back.
Really disappointing first ( and last) visit.staff very offhand from reception through to the waiters.my food ( a veal schnitzel which could have been fried shoe leather)was disgusting ,and I was embarassed to take my guest there. Wildly overpriced and uncomfortable.
Be the first to ReplyAVOID AT ALL COSTS. AWFUL!
It didn’t begin well when we arrived 4 minutes early for our reservation; the Receptionist told us our table wasn’t ready and to wait. We asked “where” and the Receptionist replied “unfortunately there is no waiting space” so we proceeded to stand outside in the freezing cold - no drink offered, nothing. We were then taken to our table, where we spent majority of the time, explaining what a vodka based cocktail is to the waitress… all we wanted was a yes or no answer. After four trips to the bar, the waitress came back with what she described as a “margerita cocktail” which was in-fact the tequila cocktail from the menu - not what we had asked for. After receiving possibly the worst food, we have ever come across, I’d have been better off with a birds eye burger. We did not even touch the pasta. Asked for some ketchup - don’t bother as you won’t get it. We asked the waitress, if they had a pale, blush Rose to which she said no, but that she would check. Another four trips to the bar later, still no Rose. We then asked another waiter about the pale blush Rose (in case the waitress had misunderstood) to which he also told us no. We proceeded to walk downstairs, to pay our bill as no waiter or waitress had come to see us, to find a BIG BOTTLE OF PALE BLUSH ROSE SITTING ON THE COUNTER. The staff were diabolical. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL TIMES!!!!!!
Be the first to ReplyDISCRIMINATION FROM STAFF MEMBER
Vast majority of the staff were brilliant & the food was amazing. Unfortunately, one member of staff is responsible for this review. I don’t know his name however he was asian, approx.45 years with bald / heavily receding hairline & glasses. Firstly, I said excuse me several times to get his attention and find out where the toilets where. I was ignored 3 times before he turned his head and mumbled in a passive tone, “there.” At this stage I was surprised at his tone and ignorance however started walking in the direction of the gents. I then turned around, noticing him elbow one of his colleagues and proceed to laugh. He then started walking towards me so I took my opportunity and asked him why he found it so difficult to answer and look at me so strangely when I asked him a simple question. He then said it was because he was working out my accent which was total an utter nonsense & mildly entertaining considering he answered the question, although in a rude manner, completely comprehending it. He then attempted to argue with me and criticise the area of England I come from suggesting it shouldn’t be classed as England, whilst walking down the stairs. At this point. I quickly ascertained his extremely low intelligence levels and lack of professionalism, feeling no need to waste my time to converse with such foolishness. This discriminatory behaviour has no place in hospitality or society and this member of staff has let your whole team down immensely. His role appeared to be a dish collector, and I can now understand why! The customer service skills he demonstrated would not be tolerated in any workforce or restaurant, Never-mind a lovely restaurant which is disappointing. Nevertheless and especially at his age he should understand the basics of levels of professionalism that should expected or failing that be educated on the matter or quit if he finds simple things so difficult. E.g The toilet is just down there sir. With a smile would suffice. The rest of the staff were fantastic however, and the food fantastic so don’t be deterred to go. There’s always one! 😁
Be the first to ReplyAppalling
Greeted at the door by one of the hosts while the other was having a brazen argument with another member of staff right at front. Waiter abruptly asking us to raise our voice while taking our order, then when we asked for the drinks menu, he merely points and goes on to say “that’s the menu right there”. The food was abysmal, ordered the famed “popcorn chicken” only to receive balls of overly fried and dry chicken. “Flamed aubergine” more like lightly microwaved, and was in-fact served chilled and drenched in sauce. The ambience was soulless. I went in with minimal expectations and left even more disappointed. Not the expected level of quality when it comes to a venue of such caliber. Never again.

great selection of dishes, went for dinner and really enjoyed everything, the best was the cookies & the sweet potato
Be the first to ReplyNice food but the manager was very intrusive
When we came to the restaurant we weren’t really hungry, but still ordered a starter + main course + drinks and my friend ordered the same. However, the manager/waiter came over multiple times asking if we want to order more, looking very frustrated and disappointed when we said we don’t. We just felt the pressure in the air and it was very uncomfortable. Please change the way you treat customers, because we come to your place to enjoy the food and atmosphere, not to maximize your profit.

The door staff did not let us sit outside despite half the outside tables being vacant. Waitresses were pleasant. The truffle burger and chicken cajun burgers were pleasant, as was the small salad and generous helping of chips. The bill came to an expensive £57.50. The restaurant attracts a young largely female demographic. Toilets were downstairs so not suitable for the less ambulant.
