If you're looking for a posh dinning experience, then this is it. Beautiful outdoor seating area and very nice indoors as well. Pasta is made in house daily and always delicious. Have not had anything I dislike from this facility. I've been twice and the first time met the owner and he was very gracious. Good can take a little longer to come out, but good things take time. This spot is especially lovely in the summer. Great cocktails, highly recommend the Moscow mule.

For a location that has such a beautiful courtyard and ambiance, this was the most disappointing dining experience in a long time (especially since it was a pricier meal = $160+). Cocktails were great and the appetizers (Burrata and Arancini) were tasty, but that's where everything went downhill. We ordered our appetizers (2 listed above) at the same time as our main courses thinking that the wait staff and kitchen would know not to bring everything out at once. That was a mistake. Less than 5 minutes after the first course came out and with the small table still being full, our two seafood pasta dishes came out. With a full table and no room on the table, we let the server know that we were not ready for the meal. Two minutes following that, the servers come back with the meal again - the table is still full and first course is only half complete. Understanding our frustration, the manager comes out and apologizes for not spacing out the meals and that our meals will be freshly re-made. That made us feel better until we realized the manager lied as the food comes back for a third time only 2 minutes later than that (clearly not freshly made). Overall, the main courses were lukewarm and disappointing (not just because of the service). In the end, the ambiance and cocktails were very nice, but ultimately, the extremely poor service/spacing of the meals, cool entrees (not hot/warm) and lies coming from the manager, created a very disappointing experience as a whole.

The noise level was very loud in the tent! The staff was generally very nice. We had reservations for five people, the table was just big enough, but not still better for four not five. The focaccia was a delicious appetizer, however, they also served a plain one with olive oil on top for the bread basket (not the loaf of bread I anticipated). The gnocchi was very good, however, the serving was small! The other dishes served seemed plentiful, however, $24 for barely 1 cup of gnocchi? The sauce was delicious! The desserts were very good, however, smaller servings! It is a good place to go for a special occasion.

I called at 7pm on a Friday to see if they had any availability for two, as we were traveling from out of town. The man I spoke to on the phone was really nice and said they could take us. They were super busy, too, so it was very kind of them to accommodate us! Our server was super sweet and gave great wine and food recommendations. I had a Chianti, and we shared the arancini, lasagna, & tiramisu. Everything was delicious. I also appreciated the lighting and ambiance. Highly recommend if traveling to the Raleigh area! Thank you for such a great experience!

Well. We called the restaurant to make reservations due to our wedding anniversary and bc of my asthma we requested to be seated inside. When we get there they seated us outside having empty tables inside. Chairs are NOT comfortable and difficult to get off if you need to go restrooms. Food was very good but you have to watch fast or will be cold before you finished. I was freezing outside. When we celebrated our anniversary dinner at other restaurants they decorate the table and even gave us a dessert to celebrate but here looks like no one was told about it. The waiter was very friendly but took forever to show at the table. At the end we order 2 cappuccino coffee and by the time the cups get to our table they weren't hot and we were very disappointed.
Be the first to ReplyThe food was great and so was our server.
I loved the homemade pasta and and the house cocktails. We enjoyed the pane and scallop appetizer. After pasta entrees we had crรจme brรปlรฉe, which was excellent. We also loved on site parking and not having to find street parking. We will come back when the weather warms up and enjoy dinner on the patio by the pool.

The place is very dark, the service was okay but menu needs to be updated, the food was bland, my steak was not cooked at the proper temperature. The pasta was over cooked, pasta sauce bland and very runny. Will not be returning.
Be the first to ReplyMy wife and I went there for our anniversary.
The ambiance inside is nice. We have traveled all over the world and lived in San Diego where there is amazing Italian restaurants. 1. Price - First place we have ever been where you have to pay for bread. We aren't cheap and will pay good prices for good food. This place is way overpriced for what you get. 2. Food - my wife got the carbonera and I got the gnocchi. Both were boring and bland. Then we got tiramisu and cremebrule. The cremebrule was way too sweet. Tiramisu came in a glass cup. I don't know why people in NC do this. That is not how you make our serve tiramisu. Also they don't have ice tea. No sweet tea no unsweetened tea. Final thought - overpriced, limited menu, boring food.

Requested seating outside but there was no space. Food was underwhelming but service was good.

Decided to dine here for New Year's Eve! Easy to make a reservation online and when we arrived we're sat promptly right near the pool that had a very nice Christmas tree right in the center. You could tell they were busy but the food still came out great! We tried the lasagna and for dessert had the crรจme brรปlรฉe.

Service was nonexistent even though the waiter himself stated they were slow that evening. The salads were over dressed to the point of being inedible. My entree was mediocre at best but my husband's ravioli wasn't bad. Wine was way over priced. We were up in an outdoor area covered by a tent even though the main restaurant was fairly empty. I had to ask for the salad to be removed from the bill even after explaining that everything was soaked in balsamic to the point the salad bowl was a soup bowl. They also charge for bread which is a weird flex for an Italian restaurant. After we left I got an email from OpenTable saying our reservation was cancelled, maybe go prevent a review there or charge our card that we put on the reservation to hold for the $50. Going to be watching my card statement for a while.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, drinks, and atmosphere.
.. the spinach ravioli was amazing, the bolognese was average. Awesome service!
Be the first to ReplyThe food was ok but not as good as the last time we ate
The food was ok but not as good as the last time we ate here (2022) and the restaurant seating outside under the tent was so hot we were sweating. We asked to have the heat turned down and we were told no by the manager because the other people under the tent might get cold. It's hard to enjoy your meal when the small heater is blowing hot air directly at you.
Be the first to ReplyThis place seems overrated.
We were underwhelmed with both the experience and the mediocre food.
Be the first to ReplyMulino is a beautifully hidden gem in Raleigh.
Driving to the restaurant you're bound to miss it if you're not paying attention. The exterior area is perfect for the spring summer with it's eclectic decor and poolside dining experience. Inside gives a completely different secret society type of vibe. The food was pretty good. Calamari was fresh and tender. The drinks were satisfyingly smooth. My team ordered everything from the Bolognese, margherita pizza, gnocchi and I got the lasagna. Although it was a great potion size, I was wanting more depth in the flavor. Lastly you've GOT to get the Creme Brulee

This has become our Valentines date spot! For one, Mulino is a beautiful restaurant - there's a pool on the outside and the inside gives off cozy and romantic vibes. The menu is short and sweet - curated to focus on the quality of the food rather than quantity (but don't worry, you'll be full because the portion sizes are excellent). The handmade pastas are a MUST. We got the pappardelle bolognese and lasagna - both were *chef's kiss* and we ended on the heavenly tiramisu. Every time we finish a meal here, we already dream to come back time and time again.FYI - the parking lot is tricky (tight corners and spaces) when the restaurant is packed.

This is the second time I have gone here for Valentine's Day. I have only gone for Valentine's Day, when they have a fixed menu, but it was fantastic both times. It's the only restaurant I've been to on Valentine's Day that wasn't overly crowded. They have a large beautiful outdoor area under a tent and the spacing of the tables is such that you don't feel squished in too close to anyone. The food and wine were great! Our waiters were fantastic! I'll be interested to go again some time on a regular night, but they definitely do Valentine's Day right (as long as you are okay with the price, which is expensive).
Be the first to ReplyMy new favorite Italian restaurant in Raleigh.
This place is lovely and...it makes its own pasta with ingredients from Italy.MENUIt offers a decent variety of options, including pasta, pizza, steak, chicken, salmon and beer, wine and cocktails. My party ordered bread, the burrata, the Mulino Pizza and the lasagna. Everything was delicious and not too salty. For dessert we had the crรจme brรปlรฉ and the tiramisu. Both were great.LOCATION AND PARKINGCentrally located in a history building of what ised to ne a mill. Hence, the name Mulino (mill in Italian). Parking is free but gets a bit tight as it shares the parking lot with another restaurant.OTHERStaff was professional, helpful and knowledgeable about everything in the menu, history of the building and ingredients. The vibe was great but it was a bit dark for my taste. Overall, a great restaurant and can't wait to come back!

Thought this place had a great atmosphere both inside and out. The food was absolutely amazing. Zero complaints highly recommend. My main knock was that they were out of almost nearly every meat item already. And we got there only and hour after opening
Be the first to ReplyGreat atmosphere but the food didn't live up to the hype.
I ordered the pizza which was pretty basic tasting. I also had the eggplant ravioli which was ok. The service was ok but got awkward vibes from our server. I wouldn't return based off my foist experience.
