Morimoto Asia Orlando Reviews from The Last Year
Went there yesterday for dinner party of 6 adults.
Had reservations so we were seated quickly. Food was on spot. However our server Matt was rushing us from the start. He was taking away plates before people were done. Had to remind him a few times we were still eating. I get the point it's a tourist area and they try to flip the tables quickly but please let us finish the food in front of us. Let people digest their food that they are paying a lot for.
Beautiful restaurant and tasty food! My mom and I came
Beautiful restaurant and tasty food! My mom and I came here and had the spare ribs and the Buri Bop. Both were really tasty. The ribs were the most tender, juicy, yet crispy ribs I've ever had and the sauce on them was amazing! We had a side of lo mein with the ribs and they were chewy and smoky as you would hope for fresh noodles! The fish in the Buri Bop melted in your mouth and the rice was great! I also had a lichee lemonade which was sweet and refreshing.

Food was great tasting but pricey! We went with a large party on a Saturday night so the service was a little slow. Servers were nice once we got their attention Food was pretty tasty on a whole but be ready for a big bill!! Not sure it was worth the cost all things considered but we had a good time overall
We went here for my birthday early February as we had
We went here for my birthday early February as we had always wanted to go. We arrived at about 525 for our 545 reservation. We checked in and proceeded to wait until 550 to ask what was the delay. There didn't seem to be a good explanation but there were a lot of people waiting as it was a big restaurant located in a tourist attraction in Disney Springs. We waited again for 10 more minutes and was just told they were backed up. Finally about 605/610 we were seated. We sat down and ordered sushi, bibimbap, etc. Customer service was good but you can tell there was a rush of getting food to people and seating them quickly. Food was ok, didn't like the bibimbap bowl with the fish but the fresh sushi was better. I think the problem was they focused on different street food of Asian cuisines and I was just expecting Japanese food. Not sure if we return as it was very pricey and overly crowded.

Went to Disney Springs and wanted to find a good place in there. My friend suggested we check out this place since it's an Iron Chef restaurant. The interior was beautiful and stunning, and it was very busy even on a Wednesday night (It was around spring break season when we went). We walked in without a reservation and were very lucky to get a table on the second-floor outdoor patio. If you really want to go to this place make a reservation just to be safe. The first thing that the waitress said when she came to us was that this is an Iron Chef restaurant (Well, after she introduced herself obviously, but she really had to make sure we were aware that it was an Iron Chef restaurant). The things I remembered to capture photos or videos of were the Lemongrass Chicken Dumplings, some sushi on the special menu, and the Lobster Singapore Noodles. The food was good, without any doubt, but the portions were really small. We didn't really felt like we ate anything after finishing all the food that we ordered (we also both have quite a big appetite), so we decided to try out another place after this. Basically had two consecutive dinners. We didn't feel like the food here really lived up the hype, but the atmosphere is nice for sure if that's what you're looking for.
In the spirit of Asian sayings, your experience at Morimoto
In the spirit of Asian sayings, your experience at Morimoto Asia could be described as: "My visit to Morimoto Asia was like finding a pearl in an oyster. The atmosphere, filled with bustling energy and refined elegance, left a lasting impression. The cuisine exceeded expectations, with options ranging from convenient street-side bites to exquisite indoor dining. The extra serving of Thai tea was like the final brushstroke on a masterpiece, elevating the meal to a new level of delight. The attentive staff went beyond the call of duty, ensuring my family's comfort with a cozy booth for my wife and newborn, and offering personalized service at every table. Though there was a minor inconvenience with the indoor ordering system, their flexibility in accommodating individual tastes was commendable. Their dedication to customer satisfaction truly enhanced the entire dining affair. I eagerly anticipate my next visit, especially for the unforgettable pork buns and the heavenly cheesecake soufflé with strawberry sorbet--a truly wise and flavorful selection."

This is my first time dining in Disney with my gf and this is an amazing place with amazing food and an excellent server. We ordered the spare ribs and the signature Peking duck and it was fantastic and the server even gave us a dessert on the house! Would go back 100% next time!
Sweet & Spicy - You Won't Leave Unhappy
Fantastic Selection and well informed wait staff. Spicy selections in alcohol and food. A nice way to each order something different and try a little of each if you're not familiar w/Asian Foods
Disappointed. Never again!
My family came to Morimoto Asia hoping for a good meal since we been to Morimoto restaurants before and they are not bad. This one is so disappointing. My son ordered orange chicken. It was horrible. It had a bitter taste. It was more like orange tenders. My son also ordered salmon sushi and boy I am appalled by how Morimoto serves pink ginger. What a disappointment considering Morimoto is a Japanese chef. I have been to many fancy Japanese restaurants and they don’t serve pink ginger. Even the sushi chef said that is a no no. So disappointed in this restaurant of Morimoto’s.
Awesome dining experience with friends or a date night.
The ribs were from another planet and the orange chicken was SO good. Ambiance/service/food were all top notch

I had a chance to sit upstairs at the bar and Gustavo was beyond! He did an amazing job recommending entrees and cocktails. High recommend!

Worst food ever Bad service Not recommend! We've been waiting more than 1 hours and because there's no server clean the table But we saw all the staff not that busy and the food is worse than instant food but expensive! Our server not taking care of us and charge 18% fee because we are 7 people ! Really pls don't go this restaurant
Got the ramen, Morimoto fried rice and some sushi.
My ramen was a little cold and no flavor at all to anything. I am shocked chef Morimoto had his name on this establishment because the food we got was not good. Definitely will not be back and disappointed with quality of food as it is not cheap to eat there!
I was excited to go inside after wanting to go for so long.
The ambience was excellent however the woman greeting me did not seem pleased with me and I felt rather unwelcomed. The food was very subpar relative to how expensive each dish was. I got the spider roll, duck ramen, beef chow fun and Chilean sea bass. The spider roll was very small and tasted very average for a price of $20. The duck ramen was quite bland and wished there was more flavor. The beef chow fun was cold and the noodles were undercooked and quite thin. I also asked for hot oil and the man I asked was very rude about it and rolled his eyes at me for asking. Then I got the seabass which was very good but very small for $31. I understand this is fine dining but the food was very average for such a price. The staff is quite rude and I felt uncomfortable. Come here if you're looking for overpriced average food.

My friend took me to this restaurant tonight, and our dining experience was impeccable. The waitress was friendly because it was my first time eating at this restaurant, so she patiently explained the menu to us. The food was great - the Peking Duck was perfect, and I had the best ribs of my life! We were fortunate to be seated on the second floor, which added a different dimension to the entire dining experience with the view.
Had a wonderful dinner last night.
The view from the second floor was spectacular. The family enjoyed the spectacular dinner. Service was okay., employees seemed to be stressed or frustrated. Overall we enjoyed our experience.
Huge disappointment
The welcome is sad, a real station hall… There were 7 of us at the table and it was small. The map is difficult to read because of little light. We had to ask several times for cutlery. Really disappointing service. The portions are small and the price very high to match. The toilets not clean. Non-functional hand basin, several details which make my disappointment total. We didn't have dessert because we were disappointed. Very nice place but lots of room for improvement
Friendly staff and accommodating menu for gluten free
Friendly staff and accommodating menu for gluten free individuals. I ordered the Jyo sushi combo and got 8 nigiri with fish, 1 nigiri with shrimp and a piece of egg. The fish were all fresh and none were chewy. Two pieces were the same (tuna) and I would have preferred something other than a repeat. I've never had egg "sushi" before so I have nothing to compare it to but it was chilled, compact, and slightly sweet. They do the nigiri authentically with wasabi in it but will modify if necessary. I didn't feel that there was a whole lot of wasabi in it to begin with so I did add more. My least favorite part was the spicy salmon. It seemed like a different cut than the salmon nigiri and was a little tougher and saltier. Not like the melt-in-your-mouth salmon roll like I've had at morimoto vegas. My virgin mojito was absolutely delicious though. And of course they have GF tamari soy sauce.
What a delightful meal.
One of my favorite on vacation. Loved the decor of the restaurant and how you can watch the going's on in the kitchen. Drinks were fabulous and so was our server. Gluten free or any allergy no problem. Our server recommended great dishes and they were so delicious.
HAPPY DANCE!!!
Service was wonderful. The food had me doing a “happy dance” in my seat. Best hot & sour soup I’ve ever had. And the lettuce wraps were wonderful. I WILL be back.
My husband and I shared the Peking Duck and the Spareribs.
This is our 4th time eating at this establishment. We always get the same thing. So delicious!!! The next time we go we decided we want to get a double order of the spareribs and not the Duck. The Spareribs fall off the bone and melt in your mouth. Awe deliciousness!! Check out this place when you come to Disney Springs.
Seeing the Peking ducks hanging in the kitchen was fun to
Seeing the Peking ducks hanging in the kitchen was fun to see. The sushi was delicious the server was very attentive.
This was a really pleasant experience.
The food was great and our waiter, Anthony, was great too. We decided to eat a bunch of sharable items. At first, we had the Miso Soup. Although it was good, it was a bit bland. Next we tried the edamame, pork dumplings, crispy popcorn shrimp. Of course, we had to try the Morimoto Spare ribs. The meat melted in your mouth and fell right off the bone. They were delicious. My husband had the Sea Bass Bento Box and really enjoyed it. Nothing was so overly spicy that it couldn't be enjoyed by everyone. It is a large restaurant and we were there at a good time. The decor is wonderful with lots of space between tables and a black and white theme. The staff is very nice and helpful. When in the area, we will be sure to go back again.

I enjoyed a delicious meal with husband, son, brother, and dad. It was our first time here, as part of my birthday week celebration. I read all the reviews which recommended the spare ribs, Peking duck for two, and popcorn shrimp. We also got the sushi to peppers, kid's ramen, and tonkatsu ramen. We shared everything family style and got extra six baos for additional $5. It was fan-tabulous! I will definitely come back for another monumental birthday when in town! Making memories for my 50th year! The whole family says it was delicious! And they gave us 10% off for annual Disney pass holders or Disney Vacation Club members. It was a lovely venue for a lovely celebration dinner. Definitely make reservations in advance.
The restaurant has a beautiful aesthetic appeal.
The white staff were very attentive and happy to explain anything on the menu. The food was delicious with generous portions. The restaurant definitely lived up to my expectations.
Asian Excellence!
It's been 7 years since we'd been here and last night was my 60th birthday. We are one hour away from Morimoto and this was my husband's choice, where to have my birthday dinner. Funnily to those of you who are tourists, we don't have that many 4-plus star restaurants to choose from that are not Disney. But Morimoto still tickled my funny bone. Contrary to recent reviewers the service was over-the-top. That is important to me, because the food was good, sometimes great (we ordered 9 dishes between the two of us). Granted, we got there before the venues closed, but even as the families rolled into Disney Springs, the staff stepped it up and worked their tails off to keep folks who'd just arrived as happy as us who'd been there for over an hour. Our waiter, Hien, was funny, attentive, and he slipped me a take-home bag for stuff we knew we'd never finish under our table ... and a special birthday dessert with a wink. He made my night. Foodwise, it's now "Disney". It didn't feel unique anymore. The presentation was as you would expect from a Morimoto, the food was good Asian-Pacific. We saw huge families near us really enjoying. It is upscale Asian food and the menu is very family-friendly. We have no complaints, but there was nothing really outstanding, fun, even spicy on the menu that would have us return if we wanted the interesting or unusual.
Dinner last night
California sushi roll was good. Not great. Crispy shrimp appetizer’s sauce was very tasty but the dish was more heavily battered than I expected. My husband enjoyed his Orange Chicken very much. Best thing about dinner was our server Shavonne. She was so charismatic and beyond efficient. She was the highlight our our evening.
Terrible service night
The food here is outstanding. The sushi is amazing let me say that. It may have been a bad night but our server took our order and we didn’t see him for 30 minutes. Our drink sat on the bar for that time and we ordered dirty martinis and they weren’t the least bit dirty. The food actually came before our drinks. I do not complain ever but for that place the service has to be better.
Better luck next time….
We visit Disney Springs on vacation about twice per year. We always plan a stop at Morimoto Street Food or the restaurant -both are excellent. We really enjoy the ramen bowls at the “ street food” location next to the restaurant. This time was not as expected. Our ramen bowls did not have meat or egg or any of the other ingredients we have come to enjoy. It was disappointing and we didn’t have time, nor did we want to go back to counter to complain. Almost $100 for 3 ramen bowls, appetizers and drinks! Please let staff know that making sure to add these items to the ramen is important. Also, the walk up service was not even that busy while we were there, so not sure why this happened?
Morimoto Asia Disney Springs
Morimoto Asia is located in Disney Dorinha and is a good option for those who want to try some Japanese food, including Ramens, well-made, comforting food.
Iron chef!!!
Iron chef!!! Anything you order you will not disappoint. Natural ingredients packed with flavor. Went with 5 other coworker and every single person said their meals were delish.
Didn't meet my expectation
Every time I go to Disney for vacation? I pick that one restaurant to go all out and have the best meal ever and this year was this restaurant. I remember eating at Morimoto's first restaurant at Philadelphia like in 20 years ago. I remember every single bite of that meal. It was such an excellent meal that it has changed how I see and taste food. I guess this was too much of an expectation. We went there for lunch instead of dinner. May be it would have been better as dinner. Slightly different menu than what I expected, no blue fin tuna or anything super high quality sushi on the menu. Had some sumai which was fine. I think I have had it as good at other authentic Chinatown dim sum place. Spider roll was ok. Definitely had it better and fresher. The fried crab was warm or crisp, like it sat out for a little. I had bento box with fish which was good peice of fish, but was it Iron Chef worthy?? My husband and daughter had duck which they said was excellent. My son had tonkatsu ramen which was fine. It is a pretty restaurant, eventhough I used the bathroom with my phones light since the light was not working (to me not acceptable at a restaurant of this caliber). Service was ok. Overall fine place, but I don't think we will return next time we are down here.
Finally, fried rice!
Finally, after years of visiting DISNEY SPRINGS, finall had time to sit down in Morimoto Asia after getting off the plane .. .. Beautiful space. Started off with their BLOOD ORANGE GINGER ALE and it was perfect after a long travel day .. .. A delicious HOT & SOUR SOUP followed by MORIMOTO GOMOKU FRIED RICE .. .. One of the better fried rices with a tangy sauce I could have use more of .. .. A great wa to start the trip!
