I was in town for a conference and came here with two great colleagues and friends and got the combo (4 chicken and 4 pork momos). They were super delicious and the dipping sauce/soup brought out the subtle nuances of the spices used in these Tibetan / Nepalese dumplings. While they are similar to dumplings/baozi from other Asian cultures, these momos had their own unique flavors. You could taste the cumin and the ginger but they are not too overpowering at all. If I come back to Columbus again, I definitely will come visit again!
Be the first to ReplySaw this place on Tripple D, so had to give it a try.
This place is tucked inside the North Market across from the Convention Center. Basically a big armory with a bunch of food stuffs in it. How Guy finds these places, I'll never know, but im glad he did. Ordered the Jhol Momo, split between chicken and pork. Service was quick and friendly. Went upstairs to eat. Food was good, but I didn't get a boner over it like Guy did. The hot sauce is crazy hot. Should have used half of what I did. Very happy this place has a Jeni's ice cream in it too!
Be the first to ReplyThe flavor of this momo was insane.
So good. The soup is the key. You get 8 with the order for $11. Made a fantastic lunch.
Be the first to ReplyOne of the must try places while in Columbus and the views
One of the must try places while in Columbus and the views don't do it any justice. Quite honestly some of the best dumplings I've ever had. They were spicy, warm, filling, and packed with flavor. There was enough sauce to soak the Momo the meat inside was juicy and would just melt in your mouth. Overall, this is a place that belongs in Flavortown

I've heard a lot about this about Momo Ghar and was excited to try it! I got the #1 with bread. This is a MUST TRY if visiting North Market! The dumplings were really good, but it's all about that sauce. It was something that tasted both familiar and new, and just warmed me up on a cold day.

Who comes to Columbus and does not eat momos? My sister got a chicken one for herself, veggie one for me, and someone else at the table got a chicken with turmeric. Everyone loved all of the chicken ones. But what I love most about the vegetarian one is that there are actually vegetables in it!

We always make it a point to stop at Triple D places when traveling to new cities and this was another great recommendation by Guy! We had the Jhol Momo (chicken) - tender wrapper with ample filling - the divinely flavorful sauce is what elevated the dish! A tasty bite at the North Market Downtown!
Be the first to ReplyThis place is jam-packed busy on the weekend.
But it was totally worth the wait. We had the Darjeeling Momo & the Jhol Momo and I would go back 100x and wait in the extensive line to have them again.
Be the first to ReplyThis came highly recommended by Eater and I saw that Guy
This came highly recommended by Eater and I saw that Guy Fieri had visited this particular food stall in North Market. Had the chicken and the pork momos as well as a side of Alu Dum. My friend and I much preferred the flavor and texture of the chicken momos. Generally speaking, it felt like the food was a little over salted but it was a great lunch. The Alu Dum (potato salad) had a touch of curry flavoring which was lovely.
Be the first to ReplyI visited the North Market in a Sunday with the family.
I have been wanting you try Momo Ghar for a while and some dumplings sounded like a good option. I ordered the combo dumpling 8 pack. Both dumplings were very good and the meal was out quickly. I enjoyed the curry dipping sauce.

I think this place is so fun! It's inside the north market and I love it. Guy fieri has been here on DDD and I think that is a big draw for me. The workers are nice. My friend and I ordered momo to split. They had vegetarian options for her which was nice. The momo was very good and we were able to get two different kinds to try. The sauce that comes with them is flavorful but a little runny. It was ~$12 for 8. It was about a 10-15 minute wait once we ordered.
Be the first to ReplyWorth the reputation! Always delicious and satisfying food.
I will say that the vegetarian options aren't quite as flavorful as the chicken or pork options though. The sauce that goes on these dumplings is so so good. I could eat it plain like soup if that was an option.

It was nice to see momo ghar at north market! I wanted to try their momo's and I believe I got the johl momo. They tasted great with the sauce! The person who gave me the food also gave me an additional pork momo which I thought was nice :)
Be the first to ReplyThe vegetarian momo was just okay.
My partner tried the other variations of momo and enjoyed it much more than I did. 3 stars as a vegetarian!

Love the food! 3rd time here, brought my parents when they were in town and all they talk about is wanting to come back next time they are in Columbus for a visit.

I stopped here on my North Market trip and we added it to our lunch collection. This was my first experience with food from Nepal and TibetWe got the Jhol Momo. It was delicious and paired well with our other food. We walked around the entire North Market before deciding on food and this was the place that had stuck out to us the most that we decided we had to try it. It was worth the experience.

We got an order of the pork momos, which came with a truly excellent homemade sauce on the side. The momos came in a generous portion and were quite flavorful. They have a couple of different filling options, including chicken and one with a meat-free potato base. A very enjoyable option at the North Market!

We bought egg rolls and pho today: I ate the egg rolls and within an an hour I was extremely ill. I was vomiting and had diarrhea. My husband ate the pho, he had severe diarrhea. I don't recommend this place at all !!!
Be the first to ReplySo I have been on this dumpling kick.
And naturally that leads me to this search I'm on for the best dumplings in CBUS and these are a STRONG competitor. They're not your average dumpling, they're Nepalese dumplings. The spices and flavor of the filling itself is so different than any other dumpling I've had, and the dipping sauce was a spicy, tomato-based, broth-like sauce that enhanced the overall flavor. They were SO fresh and SO delicious. Not hard to get on board with these since they're handmade. Amazing spot at the Short North location of the North Market. Give these a try, they were featured on the food network!
Be the first to ReplyNever tried Nepalese/Himalayan good before so I knew I had
Never tried Nepalese/Himalayan good before so I knew I had to give it a go. The look like Chinese dumplings but are slightly bigger, almost like a small bao or ciao long bao. There's not a lot if choices and that's not a bag thing. I prefer specializing and playing to your strength than a restaurant going mile wide and inch deep.I wanted to try them all but gotta reserve room for other food so the combo was the choice, with pork and chicken. Both were great but the pork stood out more with a herbal flavor infused in it. The home made sauce went really well with it, a savory and hint of heat in it, I dunked my mom in them and could drink it as a soup all day. That's how good it was. Awesome find!

I was looking forward to eating here for so long! It didn't disappoint! I can't wait for their Dublin spot to re- open since it's closer. We had two samplers: one with 4 chicken and 4 pork. And another sampler with 4 pork and 4 potato. Sooo good! My favorites were the chicken and the potato. I was so surprised that the potato were so flavorful.

Where to even begin?!Off the chart food and super friendly team! The owner was always very genuine and personable, super friendly and welcoming! I have never had even a medicore bite of food or bad experience, ALWAYS top notch... the momo sauce is out of this world amazing. Absolutely one of my all time favorites and cannot recommend enough!
Be the first to ReplyI have been to the sarega location but this is the first
I have been to the sarega location but this is the first time I have been to the north market location. I love their momos. They are so good. I went on a weekday at lunch time and waited about 5 min to order, few people were waiting before me. And it took about 10 min after I ordered to get the food. I ordered the chicken jhol ย momo and the Tibetan chicken momo. Both of them were just delicious. Especially when you dip it in their homemade sauce. If you like momos and are in the North Market then definitely check this place out.
Be the first to ReplyDumplings.
Very well done. I got the chicken and ginger. The sauce was a bit spicy but, as with all great dumplings, you can eat these fine without sauce. I ate one or two without sauce and it was great. Sauce made it better though so no misunderstandings here. ย Service was fine and food came out quick but I was the only one here. Gotta beat the crowds. ย You can order half orders and eat your way through the north market.
Be the first to ReplyListen, I love momo ghar dumplings and normally I'd give 5
Listen, I love momo ghar dumplings and normally I'd give 5 stars. I have visited several times...even at their old location in a tiny stand inside the Saraga international market. This review reflects the latest experience that includes customer service as well. I usually order #1 (jhol momo) which is reliably delicious every time. This time I ordered a #5...forget what it's called but it had ginger and my mom wanted to try that one since she loves ginger. Flavor-wise, it was just ok and could have benefitted from a stronger ginger flavor because it was not as flavorful as jhol momo. Content-wise, I was a bit put off by the pink tinge of the chicken. I asked the worker if it was cooked because it still looked very pink. She said it's probably just the flavorings they add and when I asked what temperature they cook the meat to, her first response was 130 degrees....after I gave her a concerned look, she corrected herself and said 160 degrees, which is closer but not quite the 165 degrees I was looking for. I didn't feel 100% confident that she knew with certainty it was cooked appropriately but felt better when I quickly googled that chicken may have a pink tinge even when full cooked. I didn't end up getting sick so it ended up being fine. The part of my experience I didn't appreciate was their lack of customer service. I had accidentally spilled all of the sauce when the cup slipped out of my hand (it was oily/slippery on the outside) onto me then onto the floor. They charged my mom for extra sauce which I can honestly understand...but they refused to give her extra napkins so that I could use them to help clean myself off where I spilled sauce all over me. The bathrooms don't have paper towels and I had to walk around with sauce all over my jeans and wool coat to find napkins at other stalls. Have a heart, man...napkins are dirt cheap. That was enough to make me not want to return to this location. I'll stick to Dublin for now, thanks.
