Came here for my birthday last night with my boyfriend and my two sisters. Both my boyfriend and sister had been here years ago and remember it being pretty good so I decided to give it a shot. I deeply regret it. Service: It was a Tuesday night so needless to say it wasn't busy. A few more larger parties came in after 7:30, but the dining room and bar combined was still only at 1/3 capacity. We stayed at the restaurant for a little under 2 hours. We got sat at our table and ordered appetizers and drinks within 30 minutes of being sat, but our orders for entrees were not taken for almost an hour after our appetizers came out. The server we had (Corey ??) was not attentive at all and completely ignored or missed our attempts to get his attention so our order could be taken earlier. He also did not refill our water until close to the end of the second hour, and when we put our glasses out to be refilled, he just turned and walked away, leaving the pitcher. Which would've been fine... if he had just communicated that he was leaving the water in the middle of the table and didn't see us putting our glasses towards where he was putting the water. He also never checked in on us once to see how the food was or if we needed anything during our entire time there. This led to us sitting at our table for over half an hour with empty plates, waiting for him to check in on us so we could get our bill. And when he brought us our bill, he also started CLEANING the table. Not taking plates away, like scooping some of the fallen food with napkins as we were trying to reach for the bill. Not only did he not clean up all the food scraps from the table, he didn't even come back for the plates after that! I just felt like that was an unnecessary disruption when we were already trying to leave as soon as possible because of how unhappy we were with the service and food. Cleaning the table would have been appropriate if we had already left, not while we were still seated. He seemed to be the only server on the floor, and there were two food runners, but since it was not busy at all and there were only a few full tables, I expected better and faster service. Other staff members seemed okay, with some of them being pretty nice. After all the only person who was really supposed to take care of us was our server. We still tipped because we figured that tips are likely pooled and the rest of the team shouldn't have to suffer not getting tipped because one guy did not live up to our standards. Also none of the employees there were overtly rude or dismissive. Food: We got 3 appetizers, 3 entrees, and 4 drinks with all the food being shared family style. Drinks were okay. Everything food-wise was too salty aside from the Mezze Sampler, Halloumi Cheese, and Mushroom Rakakat. Everything else we got was nothing special and not worth writing home about or spending money on. The dozen oysters we got were not fresh and painfully small for the price. The falafel was oily and had chunks of salt in it. The stew was cold. The chicken confit was cooked splendidly, and is arguably the best cooked chicken I have ever had in my life (it fell off the bone and I didn't even need to cut it), but it was extremely salty as well. Overall: As someone who's worked in the restaurant industry for a while, I think this place needs some work. It has potential and I would definitely be willing to come back if some of the things I mentioned in my review were rectified. Good luck.
Came here around 5:30pm on Sunday.
We didn't have a reservation so they sat us at the indoor bar. It was pretty empty so it felt like we had the place to ourselves. The place is beautiful with floor to ceiling windows that show the space needle and the city. We were there during sunset and it was so nice. The cocktails are creative and delicious. They are on the pricier side but you're also paying for the ambiance. They bartenders are friendly and social. I would highly recommend checking this place out.

My husband and I went here while on a vacay in Seattle this past September for our 2 year wedding anniversary. I had made a reservation in advance (they make you put down your credit card to reserve it, which is weird) and I had put a note that we were celebrating our anniversary and wanted a view of the lake. The girls at the front desk on the first floor assured us that they had a table with a view for us. Once we went up the elevator to the rooftop bar, we were greeted by a waiter who insisted on sitting us on a whole different side of the restaurant with a view of some run down looking buildings. I asked him if we could switch but he refused. I really wanted to like this place because it was recommended by one of my friends, however the whole interaction just left a bad taste in my mouth. We ended up just getting the mezze appetizer and drinks because it was so awkward. While the hummus and pita were good, I do think that it was overpriced and the service really just ruined the night for us.
Food was mediocre, drinks were okay, service was good.
Overall not bad, but I won't return.
For me, this stunning place deserves a 5 star.
What atmosphere, views, food and the drinks! Truly a fantastic place for a romantic date or a fun night with a small group.The outdoor seating offers an awesome view of the Space Needle & surrounding areas. We ordered quite a few cocktails - all top notch. The food absolutely fantastic. Last but not the least, the service did not disappoint as well. Highly recommend (more of an occasion spot vs a regular food/drink spot). Tip- Make reservations in advance :)

I went on a Wednesday night somewhat late, didn't have to wait. It was just me and they sat me at the bar. The hosts were friendly. I was unsure of where to go when I first came in. You check in with the host and then they'll direct you to what seems like their private elevator. The view upstairs is beautiful. Wherever you sit, you can get a good view. It would be perfect for a cute date night vibe. It is a bit on the pricier side. I had a Strawberry Siesta ($18) and the Pan Seared Scallops ($45). The strawberry siesta tasted very fresh and fruity. The scallops were cooked perfectly but it did come with a lot of garnish and about 4 scallops. Very buttery as well, they sit atop of a tahini butter sauce. Overall it was an enjoyable dish. I would consider this a date/special event kind of place. Again the view was awesome!
Go for the View
This is a venue with a panoramic view 360 degrees of Seattle. The food has a middle eastern vibe and was delicious. It was also expensive, and the portions are small. There is a tasting menu so you can try small bites. We ordered mashawi - an assortment of kebabs, grilled corn, marinated tomato salad, asparagus, Shirazi salad, olive mix, saffron rice, cucumber yogurt, harra. It cost $150 and was serves 3 -4 people we added a mezze platter for an extra 28. plus some pitas and extra kebabs. Everyone had a drink and the drinks were made by a talented bartender. The gratuity was added in. We paid about $70 per person. If I were to return, it would be for drinks outdoors on their spectacular patio.
Great Atmosphere, Food and Service at Mbar
We are from the Detroit area, which has the largest Middle Eastern Population outside the Middle East, and with our Middle Eastern Neighbors comes fantastic Middle Eastern Food, so we consider ourselves pretty knowledgeable about what constitutes great Middle Eastern Cuisine. Mbar makes the grade. It isn't what we would necessarily characterize as "authentic" or "traditional" Middle Eastern Fare, but it is interestingly and well-orchestrated variations of traditional Middle Eastern Dishes. Even the arrival at Mbar is special. There is a podium at the ground floor of the building, and guests are directed to a private elevator that takes them up to the rooftop restaurant. It is pricey (great Middle Eastern food in Dearborn, MI is quite inexpensive), but the food and atmosphere is outstanding and the views of Seattle are just beautiful! We recommend Mbar highly!

The food is very unique and delicious! There are not a lot of seating places so make sure to have a reservation, also make sure to ask for a table with a view because some tables have no view and are very uncomfortable))

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
