A gem of a place
The Marazion hotel is a wonderful place, and the staff are the jewels in the crown. Our recent four night stay was exceptional in every way. From the comfortable and well presented room and bed, to the beautiful bathroom, cleaned to the highest standards each day. Breakfast was cooked to order, and was of excellent quality, with plenty of choice. You could have as much or as little as you liked, including continental options. The evening meal was equally as great. The meals were served by staff with the most pleasant manner, and all went above and beyond to be helpful and attentive. That goes for bar staff too. My husband and I would highly recommend this place for a comfortable stay when exploring this beautiful part of Cornwall. Right by St. Michael’s Mount which is a most beautiful place to visit.

An excellent small hotel with a restaurant available for residents and others - much frequented by 'visitors' - excellent food The staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean, had been refurbished recently and represented extremely good value. The adjacent bar, managed by a very personable barman, is well used by 'locals' and is part of the overall attractive atmosphere. We spent 4 nights there and were 'off peak' - the lounge area was not well used and might represent a wasted asset but it may be better used during the summer.

I chose the Marazion Hotel because of the excellent reviews and was not disappointed. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. The staff were without exception super friendly and helpful. We felt genuinely cared about and cared for. The bar has a great pub feel and is popular with locals which is a good sign. The sheltered beer garden was a great place to make the most of the Spring sunshine out of the wind. We had dinner in the restaurant - generous portions of fine local produce - but it was the breakfasts that made our stay. Excellent!!

This hotel is well worth staying at. Great parking for guests and easy to use. The outside does not show what a great find this place is. The location is great for the beach and St Michaels Mount. The hotel is spotlessly clean., and well decorated. The bedroom and bathroom were fresh and very clean. Plenty of storage. The staff were all very pleasant, cheerful and helpful. The breakfast was hot and plentiful and really set you up for the day I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough
Be the first to ReplyPerfect Winter break
This lovely, small hotel was an ideal location for a short winter break. Our very comfortable room on the 2nd floor had amazing views out to St Michael’s Mount. The food at breakfast and dinner were both excellent, with a really good varied menu and the restaurant had a relaxed ambience. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and this cosy hotel had the right balance of informal but excellent service. It’s right beside the path across to St Michael’s Mount, which (tides permitting) is well worth a visit. There is good road access to nearby scenic places like Mousehole, St Ives and Sennen Cove. A perfect birthday treat.

Stayed for two nights. Lovely room overlooking St Michael’s Mount. In-room facilities first class including good WiFi. Generous and enjoyable breakfasts and two good evening meals. Private parking. Biggest asset the extremely helpful and friendly staff. Would definitely stay again and happy to recommend to others.

Clean, nicely decorated modern rooms, excellent bathroom and shower. We had Room 2 which has a nice view of St Michaels Mount, which looked great lit up at night. Evening meal was exemplary in the attached Cutty Sark restaurant. Lovely comfortable lounge with woodburner to sip an after meal Port. Staff were attentive and polite, especially the breakfast staff. Breakfast were fantastic and nothing was to much trouble. We opted for their 2 night winter deal which for a nominal few extra pounds included a 2 course evening meal including a bottle of red or white wine. Parking at hotels private car park was a bonus as its in the centre of Marazion, where it looks like parking is at a premium.

Such a lovely hotel, absolutely pristine, yet relaxed and homely. The room was beautifully decorated and equipped and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We ate in the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast and were very impressed with an interesting and delicious menu. Above all, what made our stay particularly special, was that every member of staff that we met, were genuinely helpful and friendly. A credit to the hotel. We would thoroughly recommend a stay here and hope to return in the very near future.

Breakfast is plentiful and Tracey and Megan attentive and helpful. All staff are very friendly and nothing to much trouble. Food is delicious and presented well. Best to book for evening meals as it gets busy. Excellently situated for the mount, the beach and close to Penzance, Lands End etc.

Well what can I say. A beautiful clean modern hotel set in a beautiful Cornish village with plenty of walks fresh air and of cause the magnificent st Michael’s mount. Parking was a breeze and I was relieved to find a nice spacious car park on arrival I particularly enjoyed the lounge area with log fire burning and where you can sit and watch the world go by. So relaxing. Our room had a fabulous view of st Michael’s mount which was wonderful. We were checked in and shown to our room. The room is so clean tidy and the shower very spacious. Which is important as we are quite big chaps! And as a big bonus you can open the window for fresh air as we stay away a lot in air conditioning and this is so much nicer. All in all it was a lovely stay and we both thank you.

This is a well located Hotel/Pub located in the centre of Marazion. The staff are very helpful and can suit all your requirements if asked. Its only a 2minute walk to the beach and the causeway to St Michaels Mount. There are local stores within a minutes walk. There is a private lounge for guests with a log burner, with plenty of books and games, for those rainy days. The food menu gives plenty of choice, from breakfast-dinner and is of high standard. Private car park. Highly recommend staying here as its only 5mins drive into Penzance, as good access to the South West Coastal Path.

Hotel is very clean & has a lovely decor, staff can't be anymore polite & helpful , food & drink is good, I would highly recommend this hotel as a base to walk & explore the local area & it has the bonus of a large carpark.

My wife and I stayed at the Marazion hotel for a long weekend March 2023. Every element was of the highest standard. The hotel have got it totally sorted. The food, including the breakfast was outstanding. Best Sunday Roast we’ve ever had! Can’t recommend highly enough, we will be returning 👍🏻
Be the first to ReplySuperb stay on business
We were down on business and were highly impressed from start to finish. A warm welcome, well presented rooms, excellent food and well trained staff all made for a great experience. Beds were comfy, good selection of drinks and biscuits and even fresh milk. Breakfast was extremely generous with great local produce used. Would definitely recommend. I think we will struggle to get a room in the spring and summer months on our return to cornwall.
Be the first to ReplyThe Marazion Hotel - Simply superb - a quiet little gem in Cornwall.
If you don't come for anything else, then come for the food. The steak is superb, the fish was excellent and the man sized burger were great! That's beside the fact that our room for the 2 nights was spotlessly clean, the staff were friendly, professional, welcoming, courteous and attentive. And what ever you do, don't skip the breakfasts - the perfect start to any day.

A special place indeed. Very genuine non-corporate feeling vibe. Hard to find in my experience. Food was amazing, especially the breakfast. Also love how they are supporting local businesses and suppliers. Locals are friendly, warming and most important of all know how to have a good laugh! Would highly recommend a stay here and I will definitely be back one day.

Stayed for two nights, dinner bed and breakfast. We had a lovely sunny sea-view room 'overlooking St. Michael's Mount (room 5). Bath and shower. Everything spotless and well organised. Great breakfast and dinner with plenty of choice served at the table. All the staff attentive and friendly. The hotel has secure parking for residents. Wish we could have stayed longer. Thanks to the team for making this such a lovely place to stay.

We always pop in here for coffee and cake, both of which are very tasty! Great service, lovely view of the beach, very popular, dog friendly! We might have to start saving for a 3 course meal, looks delicious on people’s plates, not forgetting a pint of Tribute ;)
Be the first to ReplyTop class service from start to finish 10/10, highly recommend, perfect
Top class service and facilities from start to finish. We had a great stay, all staff very friendly, room was a good size, very comfortable and warm. Breakfast was perfect, table service (much more hygienic and better cooked than buffet style), note the Cornish breakfast is 2 of everything so very large and suitable for someone with a big appetite, I stuck with the small one which was still a fair size and sets you up for the rest of the day, you can pick and choose what items you have and if want 1 egg instead of 2, scrambled, boiled or poached, etc. Room service is optional. Price for winter stay is very good value. The restaurant food is perfect too, we had pie of the day, home cooked and very large chunks of beef inside, again perfect. Locals in the bar are very friendly and welcoming, just like all the staff. Secure car park on site, a few steps to the bus stop (open top bus running even in the winter to St Ives, Lands End, etc and only £5 per person or £10 for a family per day for unlimited travel and usually quite reliable). A few local shops all open and not forgetting the beach, literally a few steps from the hotel and at low tide can walk across to St Michaels Mount or take the level coastal walk to Penzance (or Long Rock if you want a more frequent bus service / evening service to St Ives - recommend downloading the bus app for live times). I could not find any faults with The Marazion Hotel and Cutty Sark Bar and Restaurant - all perfect 10/10 and will definitely be back. Special thanks to the manager Karen for making our stay a perfect one.

We enjoyed a wonderful break at this charming hotel. Lovely little quirks around every corner. Immaculately clean room with a beautiful view of St Michaels Mount. On-site restaurant serves delicious food and reasonably priced. 5 star service and brilliant staff.

This was by far one of the nicest little hotels we have stayed in. The restaurant was amazing! Our dinner was delicious and the only negative about breakfast was that the meals were incredibly generous. The breakfast chef certainly knows how to cook great eggs!

My daughter and I stayed here for three nights at the end of our UK trip. It was excellent. The manager and employees of this hotel were the best we encountered during our three week trip. The rooms were comfortable, updated, and clean. We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant two of the three nights, and breakfast two of the mornings. Delicious food. When we needed help with bus transportation schedules, one of the employees personally helped us figure it out. We would definitely stay here again.

Close proximity to Lands End airport and St Michaels Mount serving excellent food by friendly staff with a stylish room, made a good 4 day break.
The view from room 9 of St Michaels Mount was stunning. We Watched the tide cover the dry causeway
