Malaparte New York Reviews from The Last Year
This Italian place is casual and my rating is 10/10.
I enjoyed every dish I ordered (calamari salad, mussels appetizer, house made SPAGHETTI ai PORCINI, PAPPARDELLE al RAGU DI MATALE) and also enjoyed wine by a glass. The staff were nice and were pretty attentive for how busy the restaurant was.

Came with a friend for a nice catch up dinner during the week. We got seated in the outdoor heated tent, which was quieter and easier to have a conversation. Inside was quite loud and lively, and pretty packed. Definitely make a reservation. The food was good! The pasta was freshly and full of flavour. There was a bit of a mix up with payment at the end of the night. Our server got the cards mixed up with other tables that were seated under the outdoor tent and then at one point; they couldn't find one of our cards. It turns out the waiter had dropped it within the restaurant. Other than the payment issue, everything else was great.

Great spot and we were able to snag a reservation without a crazy amount of time in advance. The beet salad was very fresh and I liked that it is not just a traditional salad. Pizza was good, but the showstopper for me was the mushroom pasta. Fabulous sauce that reminded me of Marsala sauce and a huge portion. Would definitely recommend!

Came here on a Saturday night at 10:40 and they wouldn't seat us and were rude about it, despite having a sign outside that says "kitchen open until 11" and their hours online say open until 11. Giving two stars because it's reasonably priced decent food in the west village, but won't be going back.

This place is a MUST visit! I had the lasagna and it was life changing. I honestly didn't know ricotta could be so creamy and smooth. My husband had the Rigatoni al Pesto Trapanese and it was also creamy, flavorful, and filling. We ended the meal with tiramisu and the chocolate mousse. Both were rich and exactly what we needed to complete this perfect meal. Service was great, ambiance was exactly what I expected for a little Italian place in NYC. Definitely worth your time.
TLDR: Solid Italian food for a reasonable price.
FOOD: I shared the Burrata with prosciutto and the calamari as appetizers. The Burrata was delicious, but can you really go wrong with burrata, arugula, and prosciutto? I think not! The calamari was different than normal calamari appetizers I normally have, which are often breaded and deep fried. This one was grilled and in larger pieces on top of a salad with capers. I'm honestly not a big fan of capers, but overall I thought the dish was pretty good. For our mains, we shared the spaghetti with Porchini mushrooms, which was a major yum, and the pizza with broccoli rabe and sausage. I was pretty impressed by both of the main dishes, would recommend both! The pizza had a really good texture of the bread. And the mushroom porcinis had strong umami. Those also came with a whole cup of Parmesan on the side -- I genuinely loved that I could serve myself (no lie there have def been times I've wanted people to keep going on that Parmesan but then it gets awkward with how much cheese I'm adding and how long they are standing there grading cheese...) SERVICE: Great! No complaints -- they didn't rush us out which I appreciated. I feel like this is a sign of solid, next level service. AMBIANCE: We sat outdoors in their outdoor heated space. I was a tad worried, considering it is early March and it was only a high in the 40s that day, but the heater in there made it quite toasty. Cute little outdoor structure -- did not need to wear my down jacket as I ate. RESERVATIONS: Recommended. I got one for 5:30 pm on a Friday when I booked the night before. More normal times were taken, but my companion had a train to catch at 8pm anyway so it worked great. OVERALL: Great! Will be back.
We had a great dinner and experience at Malaparte.
Server (sorry forget her name but she was italian) was awesome. Small place but food authentic. Cant wait to return.

Food was amazing!! Got zucchini and polenta appetizers and they were delicious and tasted so satisfying yet light and refreshing. Had gnocchi for my entree and it was the perfect portion and was delicious! Very friendly staff. Host and servers were really nice and attentive. Good location and cute interior. Would definitely come back!
We made reservations day of on a Saturday for 5:30.
We arrived early and were able to sit in the heated outdoor dining area while we waited until 5pm (they were able to accommodate the last minute change, which was great, but they don't start serving until 5). I ordered the pear Gorgonzola special salad and it was fresh, big but not too big for an appetizer, and well dressed. My friend ordered the polenta. The food came pretty quickly - we hadn't even finished the delicious bread (focaccia and one other). We had papardelle ragu and pesto rigatoni for mains and ordered their day's special Cabernet (bottle, $75 - good, but a bit disappointing). The papardelle dish was very good but the ragu wasn't my favorite approach - a bit acidic. All in all it came to about $80 each before tip. They accidentally brought us someone else's check and credit card (oops) before bringing our bill. All in all, a fine evening, just not a standout given the price point. Or maybe I was just cold...

Ambiance is so good! Prices are really reasonable and the service is great. I got the rigatoni al pesto and the serving size was perfect before going out in the village.
Overall a decent Italian spot.
Came for a date night, and had the beets salad (refreshing, a bit salty), mushroom pizza (thin crust, delicious), two pastas (cooked perfectly but very salty), and the pork loin (thinly pound, cooked well, served with a salad, pretty good). Not sure I would go back again but it was worth a try!
Welcoming and tasteful
Italian restaurant with lovely people, simple (in a good way) and tasteful food and laid back atmosphere. Good wine list and welcoming to kids! Would recommend going for a pasta (with mushroom!).
Solo Traveller's Great Night In Greenwich Village
A solo traveller, I went here on recommendation of a NY resident. Great tasty no nonsense food and wine. Relaxed vibe, ate at a pavement table. Loved the friendliness of my local fellow dinners and the eclectic music. The service was outstandingly friendly and attentive and even gave me a complimentary glass of red and a final coffee when my wine choice was temporarily forgotten. A genuine neighbourhood restaurant that I would recommend to you without reservation . They deserve their success. Thanks Malaparte.

That's what AT sponsorships are for - and you are only paying 25% in the first year and then less in year two and three.
I beliebe @EternalAnt36 was sponsored by @PerceptiveWash44 and is now doing $25k/mo.
You can write on the top sellers profiles (type 'Top 10' in the searchbar) and then tap request sponsorship button after you found the guy or gal like to work with!
