LXSO is tucked away in a great little place in HB.
Here you can find some of the best upscale Vietnamese inspired dishes. The service is fantastic and you are left with an amazing experience in a cozy space great food and great drinks. Their drinks are so good, you'll want to order two. We had a ton of dishes, but our favorite was the Vietnamese flavored sea bass. Overall, a fantastic place for dinner. You will definitely need reservations though!
Be the first to ReplyWent here for a double date night with my friends.
Would recommend it if you are looking for a cute cozy place to eat. I would have to say it is very pricey for the food you get. Not saying that their foods are not good, they are but I'm not sure if I want to spend that much money for some Viet food fusion food. It's good for a one time thing if not for some special occasion. The drinks were pretty good as well, and the staff was very nice as well. I would recommend to try if you are looking for a Viet fusion food.

LSXO is a fantastic Vietnamese cuisine with a vibrant atmosphere. The food is delicious, with a blend of flavors with that paired perfectly. The ambiance is a lively atmosphere, which we enjoyed with friends. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. Overall, LSXO was a fantastic combination of delicious food, lively atmosphere, and excellent service, a must restaurant to return to. My only reason for the 4 stars is because the staff was removing chop sticks out of the packaging with her hands (grabbing the chopsticks by the end that touches the food) and placing them in a bin, after cleaning, table's removing dirty plates and never washing her hands. These same chop sticks are placed on the table not in the protective packaging, next to silverware. Hopefully this practice changes as this restaurant is by far the best in HB

Hidden gem Tucked away in the back of bluegold, this speak easy is a hidden gem. They don't have that many tables which is why I recommend making a reservation in advance. Started things off with their shrimp and pork dumplings which was really juicy and topped with mushrooms. For the mains, we tried their garlic noodles which is basically like a garlicky seasoned noodles. My fav was their crepes which was super crispy and loaded with shrimp and beansprouts, served with tons of veggies and herbs on the side. Portions were def larger than expected, we were super full at the end.

no signage, but inside blue gold, easier if reservation made, hip music, and classic eats. try the pork chop -- juicy with flavorful crusted top. we enjoyed the banh xeo-- very crispy, imperial rolls, papaya salad with extra shrimpies, tamarind shrimp all done well
Be the first to ReplyLSXO is not your every day dining experience.
Tucked away towards the back, and in a very unassuming corner of the Bluegold restaurant, lies this restaurant space nothing like the space you just walked out of to get into this hidden gem. Upon opening the doors into LXSO, you just know you walked into something exclusive and special (so RSVPs highly recommended). I came for a birthday event and got one (ok three) drinks at the bar as I waited for the entire party to arrive. Not a bad place to wait since the bar at Bluegold is a nice one but walk into LXSO and you're greeted with a much quainter, yet very beautiful bar and a fantastic selection of spirits. As for all the menu selections my party ordered, it was family style, so I got to try them all. The Shaky Shaky beef, according to the waitress, was their most popular dish and coincidentally I was going to order that one anyway. Very tender cuts of beef with a subtle savoriness. Delicious. The Salmon Crudo, melt in your mouth thin cuts of salmon with a light dressing. Also very delicious. Those were my two favorite items. As for the others, they were also very tasty but it was a familiar and expected flavor profile. So there's nothing wrong with that. The dishes were all an elevated version of your everyday Banh Xeo, Sticky Rice, and Egg Rolls so order away and you'll enjoy them still. However, my taste buds breakdanced just a little bit harder with the first two I mentioned. Also, don't forget the cocktail/spirits! The Hattori Hanzo was a just ever so slightly sweet for my liking but keep in mind, I usually prefer straight whisky or on the rocks. I still very much enjoyed it =) The staff are all very friendly, polite and patient. Waters were frequently topped off and we were frequently checked on which was very much appreciated. Ordering cocktails/spirits was easy because of how attentive they were.

The food was pretty good, we made reservations way in advance, and I would highly recommend it. Not sure what the parking situation is since we were staying closeby and just walked to the shopping plaza. LSXO (Little Sister Extraordinary) is tucked away inside Bluegold, so head on to the second floor, and check in with the host in Bluegold. They check your reservation and bring you in to the back behind some wooden doors. We were celebrating an anniversary and they offered a complimentary champagne or dessert. The service was excellent. If I were coming back, I would probably choose a lunch time since at night time, you can't see anything out the window, or the menu to be honest. The text were tiny and the room was dark, and I'm getting old :)

It was truly a great experience dining at LSXO! We started off with cocktails, and at first I didn't think the butterfly effect had much alcohol because it tasted sweet almost like juice, but soon after finishing it, I started feeling a buzz, so it was definitely effective. Fortunately, the food began arriving then. The tables are small, and the dishes took varying times to prepare, so they staggered them and brought out one dish at a time, but their pacing was on point. Almost immediately after finishing a dish, the servers would come by to clear the table and soon after bring out the next dish. When our plates became dirty after a course, they'd switch them out for us. Service was attentive and exceptional. Out of the 3 dishes we ordered, I liked the crispy prawns the best, but the shaken beef, which was extra tender, and the hu tieu northern style Vietnamese soup followed very closely. It was nice seeing the modernization of authentic Vietnamese dishes that didn't incorporate elements of fusion from other cuisines. The only thing that wasn't authentic were the desserts. We glanced at the dessert menu, but all the options were standard American fare, so we passed on that. Drinks and dinner were good enough on their own. I highly recommend reserving a table here for your next date or small group dinner!
Be the first to ReplyDrinks, view and their hot sauce is good.
Some of the dishes are amazing but I noticed a lot the dishes also tasted the same with the same vinegar taste. A little off putting and odd in my opinion.

Entrance to this place is actually next to the kitchen from the Bluegold restaurant. Just look up and follow the butterflies. When you enter, you feel like you're entering to a completely different restaurant. The ambiance brings you back to the 90s with classic hip hop music playing in the background. You get a beautiful, unobstructed view of the beach on one side and a badass decor of the bar on the other. I absolutely dig the decor from the concrete and wooden walls to the machine gun/floral patterns at the bar to the butterflies in our personal bathroom. Let's talk food. You can't go wrong with any dish you order here. All are made perfectly to satisfy the homestyle Vietnamese craving. The drinks are artistically curated. Again, no specific recommendations except to go with wha your heart desires at that moment. Enjoy the vibe and listen to your belly. This place is that great to make this blanket review. Enjoy!
Be the first to ReplyThe service and food is delicious.
We had the papaya salad, dumplings and salmon. Everything was cooked to perfection. The food was fresh and flavorful. I would recommend it.
Be the first to ReplyWe were about 5 mins away from this restaurant so we called
We were about 5 mins away from this restaurant so we called them and the woman on the phone said that we could either get bar seating or wait 20 minutes for a table. When we got there and my husband tried to check in, the manager said that they were not offering any seating for the night and that there were no tables available. I was upset because the woman on the phone said that there was availability so my husband went back and told the manager that I really wanted to dine there. The manager then just "magically" said that he could add us to the wait list. We then waited for 30 mins or so and then decided to forego waiting and eat elsewhere. Not sure what's going on with this restaurant, but they also only have 6 tables. What kind of a restaurant only has 6 tables? Definitely not one that has potential for anything greater in the restaurant world. This restaurant has poor customer service and since service is one of the key elements of how I view a dining experience, I won't be dining here!
Be the first to ReplyChic & comfortable.
We went for Happy Hour on a Tuesday, in the rain and in spite of that they had a sizable houseful of patrons. Our bartender was friendly and knowledgeable regarding his whiskey. G enjoyed his Old Fashioned and my drink, although pretty was not my fav. Apologies because I cannot remember what it was called. We were really there to go to other thing they have, which was spectacular btw but that is for you to figure out) however in the interim, the bar was a nice place to wait.

Be the first to ReplyThis restaurant is perfect for a date night/ special
This restaurant is perfect for a date night/ special occasion. The ambiance at night has a lounge vibe & we loved the 2000s hip hop playlist. There are only 6 tables yet you aren't able to hear other people's conversations which is a plus. The service was a 10/10 for me, jasmine & sara were amazing and took the time to make sure my boyfriend was having a good birthday dinner experience. All of the food was delicious, but the jade pendant cocktail and pork/shrimp dumplings were my favorites.
Be the first to ReplyThe view was perfect without the outside elements.
We did a 6 mile walk to the restaurant and had lunch. The food, drinks, and service were all great. The price is steep for Asian food but it was worth it. Our favorite dishes: fried sea bass, prawns with ribs in clay pot, salmon crudo, and the beef with red rice. The rest were good as well but not as memorable. We were all so stuffed after our meal so we took a walk afterwards as well.

Service was very good, every plate was delicious. Dumplings, shaky steak, fried sebass, Bong Kon Bong soup-loved it!!!
Be the first to ReplyThe food, drink and ambiance was perfection.
Even enjoyed the music. You need reservations.
Be the first to ReplyWe have gone to LSXO a number of times.
Generally enjoyed our meal. This time was a disaster. There were no redeeming elements. Start: We made reservations for four over a month prior to our dinner. There are two desirable tables with views of the ocean. We requested one of those tables, but were told they could not promise either table. We called twice afterwards to confirm our reservation and repeat our request for one of the tables. Reservation day there were two tables available, one by the door and one of the desirable tables with a view. The hostess told us we could only have the table by the door as someone had made a reservation for five and they had squeezed an extra setting on the desirable table. I requested a manager. I spoke to Francis, I was persistent, but not abusive nor loud. Francis started shouting at me to take the table by the door, leave with my party or she was calling security to have us all forcefully removed. We're all in our 80's and had this person shouting at me that she was calling security. In my humble opinion, this person should not be in a management position. After that we returned to the restaurant and Stephanie offered us a table, not by the door, if we waited 15 minutes. We accepted. Thirty minutes later, the party for the desirable table arrived - four people. The hostess said the fifth person may arrive later. Never happened. Moral: if you want a desirable table, say you're a party of five no matter how many in your party. Food: everything came buried in a pile of cilantro or some grass leaf. I guess, to conceal the minuscule actual ingredients. We ordered:Dumplings: fair, covered in leavesOkra salad: okra tasty but insufficient quantity and overwhelmed with little leaves, maybe cilantro. Octopus salad: three small pieces of octopus covered by a pile of little leaves. Shaken beef: very tasty. By now, I had learned and requested they serve it without a pile leaves. Lamb: tasty but noodles overwhelmed the lamb. Sea bass: Very tastyService: excellent
Be the first to ReplyReservations are highly recommended.
We got lucky and were able to walk in for bar top seating. This place is so cozy and cute. The bartender, Stephanie was very nice. The food was fresh and the cocktails were delicious! The view of the beach is one of the best at pacific city.

Incentive drinks, beautiful decor, and delicious Vietnamese food. I've never had better fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce, anywhere. And I loved the butterfly effect drink, and the last samurai. The dry noodles were super yummy also. Music was great and low key. It's a super chill, trendy place.
Be the first to ReplyLSXO is one of my favorite spots in Pacific City HB.
ย This Vietnamese restaurant has a small speak easy room that can be reserved for dinners. ย I came here to celebrate my birthday. ย We ordered few cocktails and they were all good honestly. We ordered their spring rolls and they were fresh and delicious with the peanut sauce. ย We also ordered their iconic Shaky Shaky Beef and we were very happy with it too. ย My favorite though this time was the sea bass. ย The sea bass had a really tasty glaze. I would recommend this place to anyone
Be the first to ReplyRestaurant serving Asian food, but have a white hostess
Restaurant serving Asian food, but have a white hostess that was rude and racist towards Asian customers. She had the worst attitude and you can see it on her face when she was talking to an asian customer before my group. She did the same thing to us when we asked her simply questions regarding reservations and seating.
