A little disappointed with the whole visit.
It did not live up to it's reviews. The food was underwhelming. The service was lackluster, and the wait staff was inaudible. I have had better service a Culvers.

Delicious dinner and drinks with friends at Lilette. The choices are varied and fresh and always delicious. The cocktails are terrific. We had great service and a great meal.

We celebrated my birthday at this lovely bistro and everything was perfect. The menu has a vegan option that was a well-seasoned arancini with trumpet mushrooms-a little spicy and quite satisfying. My husband ordered the hangar steak frites that was served at temperature and was quite tasty. Service was attentive and friendly. The wine list has a few half bottles. They serve a great French roast coffee-the perfect ending to our meal (although the desserts, including a butterscotch budino, all sounded very good). Very good value for this quality of meal and experience. Reservations are recommended.

What a great find on Magazine Street. Wonderful menu that is well executed, wine list and service to match, and sidewalk or inside dining. My adult daughter stopped in for dinner and then lunch the next day while we were staying in the area. Loved every bite and encourage you to stop by while shopping on Magazine Street in New Orleans.

Our group had lunch here and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the grilled cheese that was awesome. The bread was very light and airy and the extras on the sandwich were delicious. The rest of our group had fish and salads and loved them. Great drinks also.

Every dish we had was pretty much perfection. The flavor and intention of every dish really landed. We had eaten at Miss River the night before, and while it was a good experience, the food at Lilete really outshined them. The wine recommendation was great, our waitress (Sarah I think) was so helpful and friendly, and the ambience was romantic and elegant. We had: White truffle parmigiano toast Italian wedding soup Braised lamb shoulder Branzino Chocolate Hazelnut mousse Coconut cake Espresso (so yummy, served with a little sugar cookie)

Came here with a small group. Nice menu offering and craft cocktails. Everything was delicious and the service very good.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, oppressively loud venue
The good: fantastic, exquisite food (escargots with creamed mushrooms over toast, Muscovy duck with amazing cauliflower, hangar steak with great fries, gnocchi to die for). The not so good: borderline sketchy neighborhood (though everyone there was lilly white); LOUD DIN (we had to text each other to communicate); unless you have a booth, you are in someone else's VERY audible drunken space; less than interested waiter (he knew the exquisite food would make up for his mostly ignoring us, e.g., he never checked to see if we liked our entrees -- he knew they'd be great); uncomfortable table seating (I was repeatedly brushed by waiters both behind us and to the side of us, and we had stiff chairs with wooden seating, was hard to get comfortable under that table). The place was packed, so they do not need our business.

Having been to "Nawlins" many times in my life my motto had become - "Avoid The French Quarter" I want to go where the locals dine and have fun not where the tourists gather. I had learned of this place years ago from the late great Jay Thomas an actor and radio personality that was raised here and kept a home here for decades. On my first visit Gary Oldman was dining there so I figured I had found a good spot. My company was in town for a convention and since I was the man who had been here the most I was in charge of dinner reservations for 12 every night. I was very happy that everyone was quite pleased with the food and the service. We arrived a bit early and there was a wait but luckily the place next door the Bouligny Tavern was there for our wait. We all enjoyed that place too.

Lilette. We randomly picked this spot for dinner. We had no reservations but were given seats so long as we were done in an hour and a half, before the reservations began showing up. Plenty of time. Most appreciated. The restaurant is well laid out with all seats inside and out being exceptional spots to enjoy a meal. The service was superior and delightful. Being newbies we were given generous explanations of the fare. The focaccia bread and soft, excellent butter is a must. As are the beats, walnuts and pickled onions to start. The cocktails are very well made and the offerings different than the usual. We ordered a duck and chicken for the mains. The timing of the meal was perfect. The staff attentive and present before you were looking. The tables inside are close enough you may carry on a conversation with others if you and they choose. We were fortunate to be next to a mother and daughter who were interesting and engaging. The daughter was visiting her mother. She had flown in from New Zealand. The conversation was welcome as were the comparisons of our meal choices. This was their first visit as well. It’s fun to have such moments with people willing to interact and share experiences. We finished with a tiramisu and a shot of port. The meal was exceptional. Well worth our gratitude for being seated without reservations. A true gem we happened upon by chance. Absolutely delicious.

Lovely restaurant, delicious salmon dinner, very helpful, friendly staff. All three of us enjoyed our dinner! You will need reservations… many locals go there.
