Nostalgia for tables of yesteryear
Cuisine from another time, tasty, dishes cooked with passion and nostalgia. Friendly, stylish staff with excellent humor. We will come back of course.
Be the first to Replyfor those who love real cuisine
rough welcome as we like a renowned establishment for 50 years bourgeois cuisine very good service fair price nothing to add everything was perfect

We go in to make a reservation for 2 Pot au feu and then the waiter asks us "Won't you have wine??" and then of course, cash or check...Amazement and surprise on our part. Indeed, we each (my sister and I) took a glass of white wine which ultimately cost us 12 euros per glass. No wine list presented, no price announced. Considering the price of the desserts, we didn't have any...The Pot au feu is 28 euros but, without starter, without dessert, without coffee, 80 euros for a glass of wine and a pot au feu per person for an establishment that aims to be simple (the decor must not have been redone since its creation) and family-friendly, look for the mistake, or the scam. For your information, the glass of wine with 2 magots or the Cafรฉ de Flore are at that price... not the same category anyway. Absolutely avoid!!

eat in Paris like we ate decades ago in the province Quincy unfortunately and so much the better has become unique snout of beef you gorge yourself on the salad bowl, veal bechamel a moving sweetness a very efficient service in a red bow tie the chef very good a Bobosse 2, no site no blue card and what is in the room it is your search for a world which is swallowed up once again with its canines glistening with bรฉchamel sauce...
Be the first to Replyeat in Paris as in the Province
A stone's throw from the Gare de Lyon, a small restaurant which is said to be an institution, the restaurant of the famous Bobosse. In short, yes, it's traditional cuisine from our regions, the one that keeps the body warm. The starters are good and plentiful (the dishes remain on the table, you can help yourself almost as much as you want), the meat is good, the desserts too. In short, if you want to eat in the pure tradition of local cuisine you will not be disappointed. A Saint Joseph wine owned by the boss as an accompaniment, perfect.
Be the first to Replytypical as I like
great place in Paris, with real products, real cuisine, real people... everything is homemade, in the tradition, the boss and his banter bewitch us and our taste buds explode
Be the first to ReplyClassic French
What a French gem. Many years ago I was a chef apprentice at ๐ฉ๐ฐ Tambohus inn. Our menu was classic French dishes. Everything from scratch, everything made to perfection. Today I was back in 1986 โค๏ธ The smells, the taste, the joy of the good ingredients. Pride in the place and the place's cuisine. The food today, there wasn't much food left over. I got, for example, my rabbit serving from cast iron pots at the table. The red wine was exquisite, the owner himself had "found" it at a vineyard and put it on the menu. We were served a Domaine Rochevine Saint-Joseph 2021 The owner has run the place for 54 years. He was around all the guests and chatted with each one. Remember to book a table. From the outside, the place doesn't look like much. In fact, something you would rather pass by. Inside, it looks like a 50 - 75 year old restaurant with furniture from way back in time. What greeted us when we opened to look inside was the smell. The smell of good stock, freshly baked bread and food made with love for the French kitchen. This is France. This is the kitchen that I love from the bottom of my heart โค๏ธ. Thanks for food.
Be the first to ReplyTraditional French cooking - enjoy
This is food as it should be - key ingredients front and centre stage. Timeless recipes wonderfully executed. Best to arrive hungry! We rang up an hour ahead and reserved; people arriving without a reservation were turned away. This is not fast food, multiple covers; this is old fashioned dining. Come ready to enjoy an evening of good food and wine, and quiet conversation - possibly with the neighbouring table. Cash point nearby - cards not accepted.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, but you MUST order 2 courses plus wine.
Do NOT go here unless you are willing to order two courses and wine. That is simply the rule, take it or leave it. Doesnt bother me as I usually order that much anyway, but if it bothers you, you should definitely stay away. That said --- the hearty traditional dishes are mostly excellent, but some are greatly over-priced. So stick to the less expensive items, as they are just as good.
Be the first to ReplyA traditional French Cafe and there are not many left in Paris!
Le Quincy is a traditional French cafe in a very traditional ecclectic interior. It is quite small inside and bookings are essential. By the way Cash Only. Lovely French cotton table clothes and cotton napkins to match. Off to a great start! We dined with our friends and the four of us had a good sized table, however, your dining neighbours are close.
Be the first to ReplyNothing like this we've been to
Place is almost hidden with the curtains, walked by it a few times and didn't even notice. Was recommended by a local as something very special so gave it a shot. The cash only threw us off but ran to ATM as they told us before we were seated. Menu only in French so bring dictionary. Service impeccable and the food even better - amazingly done/served in the pots it is made for you - very classy establishment for special occasion.
